I sold a boat, the charge was approved, delivered the boat, then the next day Appstar wanted documentation, sales slips, contracts, warranty, my dealer license you name it they wanted it. After a lot of back and forth they denied payment saying I wasn't approved to sell boats. I am a Pawn Shop and a licensed used vehicle dealership bonded and licensed, I can not always tell what I may have to sell. Then they said I only had a 300 charge limit really? Why would I keep a processor that approves charges and when it fits them or when Covid-19 hit and sales are slim they pick and choose what they will or will not honor. I am the one that could have lost the sale, They have attempted extortion, unapproved debits from my bank accounts under different sister companies, Now they have attacked my credit bureau. All equipment was returned, account closed and I am the one out because they breached the contract.
$500 for cancellation
A man from AppStar Financial called me few months ago and ordered credit card processing for less money then I paid to the company I used. I agreed and then they charged a sum twice bigger than I expected. I called them to cancel their services and they charged me another sum of $500 for cancellation!
After a great sales pitch, I changed to Appsatar from a recommended provider from my bank. I'm a seasonal business and they agreed to a 30 day tryout, and no charges for the six months I'm closed. The first month I got charged 18% and I opted out of the contract to go a much more reasonable company. I just looked at my bank statement and they charge=d me 650 in lease cancelation fees.

Hello is this true. Trying to do my research on this company but trying to read up on many reviews as possible for my dads business and makes me to make that decision.
it is very true I signed the contract 8 days ago found a 79.95 charge from my checking account and I havent even used the terminal yet . I want to cancel they are trying to charge me 599.00
$602 as cancellation fee? I don't agree with this. I am using their services for over an year now. I recommended Appstar to one of my restaurant owner friend and he subscribed to their services. He had to cancel the subscription within 3 months of sign up. He was charged with nominal cancellation fee.
I completely disagree with this. I am using their services since last 3 years and there has never been such a case. I think there is no such issue the company policies.
This one appears to be a fake complaint.

I was promised "next day funding" by sales rep for appStar. He even made a phone call and let me speak to a 'manager', confirming next day funding. So after signing up and switching over, of course, I'm not receiving next day funding. When I call and ask why, they tell me no one does it. Well of course they do, as I just switched over from a service that did. And many more of them do. They refused to fund me the next day. Said they don't make 'mini-loans, which is what next day funding is...'. Complete bull #. They lied to get my account. They even set up an elaborate ruse to have me believe I'd get next day funding. So I terminated them and blocked them from any cancellation fees. I hope their dishonesty bites them in their collective #.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
