I recently opened a claim regarding a lost package I purchased. Initially, I was told by a representative that I needed to submit a police report to proceed with my refund request, and I complied. However, due to delays in receiving the police report, I informed the representative that I had to travel to Brazil due to my father's hospitalization but wanted to ensure I followed the correct procedure for my claim before departing.
Unfortunately, the police report arrived after I had already left for Brazil. Upon my return to the USA, I received a call from the 114th Precinct, informing me that I could access my report online. However, when I checked the status of my claim with UPS, Afterpay, and JCPenney, I discovered that my claim had been closed unfavorably, citing proof of delivery, without giving me the opportunity to submit the necessary documents to support my case.
I find this handling of my claim to be unprofessional and disrespectful. Therefore, I kindly request that UPS, Afterpay, and JCPenney reopen my claim and reconsider my submitted documents. I have not received my item or a replacement, and this situation has also negatively affected my relationship with Afterpay due to nonpayment.
If my request is not considered, I will escalate this matter to the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. It is crucial to address this issue promptly and fairly. I believe in fighting for what is right.

Old bill
I never received a September statement nor a notification by email that I had charges. In October I got an email stating I had missed a payment. I tried to go online to see the bill and could not get into my account, I guess they needed a text message to secure the account. Since I have a landline that wasn't an option. Thus, I called the customer service number and the person said I had to pay $25 plus for the non payment. I did so and cancelled my 60 YEAR OLD PENNEY'S CARD. (Never missed a payment, by the way) Hope you get along without this loyal customer!
Desired outcome: I think the late charge should be cancelled.
Charged twice for perm at Clovis NM beauty shop
On Aug. 30, 2023 at 1:30 p.m., I took my 95 year old mother to get a haircut and perm at Clovis, NM. I gave them a check for $113.35. The manager said it didn't post to JCP's account. I did an online order which arrived Seipt. 6, 23. I paid with PayPal and did not see that I had an account from several years ago. I was not asked to update acct.
Unfortunately the order was sent to old address and I moved 3 years ago. After several days of stress and checking with UPS, I found the pkg.. went to old address.
It had been turned into old apt office and I was able to retrieve Upon opening same, I saw they sent gray shoes and I ordered black. They also had tie shoe laces which I wanted but the laces do zero as the opedning of tthe shoe is not flexible. Thus,I can't get shoe on. I want to rfeturn but feel I should not have to pay to do so. I want a free shipping label, a rfefund of my cost plus to make up for the turmoil and stress.

I have been in the JCPenney Salon working as a Salon Manager. Those of us that worked through the bankruptcy, pandemic (put on furlow 3 times) and our location had an arsonist start 10 fires in our building to which they had to repair (shut down and back on furlow) have had a lot of challenges at our sf bay area location.
Supervisors unfortunately have a lot work to cover, few hours and not great pay. I get they might be resentful towards us that make decent pay.
The following is 100% accurate and still is currently.
I have had issues with a assistant manager that was hired after her company closed. This individual has no urgency for achieving goals. Her team sits in thier private office and laughs and talks for hours. Supervisors have shared office space but these have a big asstant manager office.
I have been harrased and excluded. My food stolen out of frig and given to all the supervisors to enjoy. They wont go to do a bag check for me, They call for meetings when I clock for lunch to eat birthday cake and most hurtful they won't acknowledge my birthday with the traditional happy bday text. I Have made formal complaints about the Assitant Manager so she allows it and even has retaliated by allowing my team to take time off or leave while they are to do a promo for a family part not letting me know or even coding the schedule correctly. She is dirty and has favorites to witch causes a false since of intidalment to my team she makes special arrangements for. I dont allow bullying and they harras and a exclude me from even opening the door to get in when the store opens. There is nobody to help work through issues. Gm is not doing much. He is passing yhe buck and painting a picture of what she thinks is going on. I deserve to work in a positive work enviorment.

Customer service about one of my online orders sent to wrong address
I I called customer service last week 9/4/2023 when I got an email my package has been delivered on 9/1/2023 to the wrong address. When I calle d the first person I talked to did not understand so could not really help me when I ask to speak to someone else he put me on hold and the phone hung up I called back and got someone different I ask for a supervisor she said I can see that you just called I went explain how my package was sent the wrong address she I needed to call UPS and have them to track package. While talking to the supervisor on the he was very rude and unhelpful he was telling me it was delivered to 11735 105th PL SE Renton H 205, Wa 98055, I am telling him no it wasn't that is the correct address it was delivered to 4605 S 164th St Tukwila, Wash 98188 not my address I traced it. He kept telling me their nothing JCPenny can do about the wrong address. You sent it the wrong address. I need some one to contact me about this ASAP. Their 2 items in that order I was able to stop delivery of the second package that was due for delivery on the n9/5/2023 with the help of UPS Date of 8/28/2023 order # #[protected]
Billing
We made a purchase in Avon store on July 14, 2023 in the amount of 91.04 paid by check # 7694. when my wife was signing for the amount of 91.04 the computer shut down. The cashier called to someone in billing and told her that the check did not go through, she tried to put the check through again and it wouldn't accept. She told my wife to write another check out for 91.04 check # 7695 and she said she will have to go to another cash register to process the order.
She assured us that the other check # 7694 did not go through.
When I received my statement it showed both checks went through # 7694 for 91.04 and # 7695 for 91.04. I went into the Avon store and talked to the manager about the double charges. She informed me that only one tranaction went through.
I waited several weeks and contacted my bank "Key Bank" informed me that both checks did go through.
So I filed a dispute for the additional 91.04. they did get the 91.04 back to my account on August 03, 2023.
I was paying a bill at Macy's today 9-07,2023 with a check "Key Bank" for 50.00 and they told me the check was declinded.
I called the Certegy Check Verecation system and thay told me that there was a unpaid balance of 91.04.
I am not happy with JC Penney Company and will not be shopping at your stores in the future. My credit was affected due to this incident.

I go to Penney's here in Canton a fair amount and the way the run that store is very professional. There is a manager there, an older blonde-haired woman, and she is very good at what she does. She gets the most out of her worker's and they seem very much on board.
But I am specifically writing about a woman there named Lauren. She has helped me a couple of times and she strikes me as a very valuable employee. She bends over backwards to help me find whatever I need. Like today I needed measured for a shirt. She measured me quickly and correctly and seemed happy to do it. Then she quickly directed me to the different brands and sales while walking towards the cash register to wait on a woman who was in line. Next, she waited on me. Lol. It was more of the same. Efficient, pleasant, making small talk. I am old. And it jogged my memory. Yes, that's the way it used to be. The way it ought to be. So, if I have a complaint, it is that I wasn't able to use the jcpenney/survey site to say bravo to JC Penney and those women over there. Keep it up, now. Earrings
Couple weeks back, I took a pair of earrings I purchased for myself because I never owned a good quality pair. After only wearing them 2 times, I realized the one earring did not close as tightly as the other. Once I felt it fall in my lap at home and the second time, out with a friend, she stated the ring was on my shoulder. So, I went to j.C. Penney to see if they could repair it. After a few minutes saleslady said these are not our earrings and that they were not even gold. I was in total shock!. I explained that I only wore them twice and after each use, I would put them right back in the box. Those were the one I bought.
I still had the receipt in the box also. I am not a dishonest person. I would never do such a thing as cheat or lie. I have walked into a walmart and returned a one dollar bill to the clerk. Maybe an employee switched the earrings or a customer brought them back for a refund. I don't know how that happened. But I swear on my mother' grave those are the earrings that came in the box and I paid $247.00 for them. I want you to believe me, so I can get a credit back on my j.C. Penney card. I've been shopping at j.C. Penney for over 60 years. I am 81 yrs. Old. Your store could be reimbursed by the insurance co. I would even be willing to take a polygraph test. I ordered a 24 inch 14k gold chain online, but the length I received is 22 inches. I will never buy anything from JC Penny again. I called customer service, and was informed that I waited to late for a exchange or refund, even though the tags are still on the chain. I ordered the chain in April 2023. Why? Because I called and asked if they would honor their ad of 30% off, code HotDeal. If not honor then I am asking one of the manager took into why a customer would be confused. I had search and found this item 7800165. When I google, it says the item cost $149.99. When I clicked on your store site to compare this product with other store. I noticed it says "Extra 30% off" and "Back to school rush! Extra 30% off". The code says: Hot Deal.
So comparing the Best Buy of $149.99 and JCPenny $149.99, I thought JCPenny has the better deal because it says on top of the website 30% off. There is no where on that website, that I am receiving 50% off and therefore the Hot Deal is only $15.00 off. The first explanation was its 10%. The second explanation the Hot Deal only applies to selected items, even thou when I check out, it accepted the Hot Deal code of 30%, but only took off $15.00. Then the third explanation, was something about black Friday. I am trying to understand what special is this item under 10% off, 30% off, or 60% off? False advertising when buying 5 year service contract on ge dishwasher purchased inside store
We purchased five appliances 9/2018 at the JC Penney, Shackleford Rd, Little Rock AR,
store. Our protection plan was for five years, ending in 9/2023. We called for repairs on our GE dishwasher today, 7/10/2023. The dishwasher start smelling like melted plastic and shut off. When we tried to restart it, the electrical panel in our home shut it off. When calling the service contractors for the appliance, we were told our contract only pays up to $425 on the dishwasher. And repairs would cost more. This should have been explained when we purchased the appliance protection agreement. I feel we were misled when purchasing everything.
Desired outcome: Repairs to our GE dishwasher or it replaced.
Salon
I witnessed a salon employee be disciplined simply because she was black, overheard her being talked to in the mangers office while in the salon receiving a hair service. This is unacceptable and disgusting, I can’t believe my own ears having to hear the conversation over someone’s skin color, absolutely outraged at this. I will not longer be spending my time and money in and jcpenneys again.

I have purchased Stafford men's underwear, brief, in the past years however this time 2 of the pairs are unraveling(pictures on other people complaints, mine even worse) I purchased at JC Penny's and calling to complain however I would love to have Staffords contact # to file with them. These were not cheap and 2 pairs of 8 I feel should be replaced or refunded. It is now July 4, 2023, however the damage was 2 months ago, just took me awhile to keep researching and doing something.
