On this website you register enter your information and then when you go and try to get the information for the reverse lookup it keeps putting you back into the login mode. they refused to delete my information and only disable my account from their side. they said their is no way for me to delete it on my own. they said they had to keep the credit card on record and my information for tax purposes when I told them I know you can no do it. if I am not a customer you can not use me for tax purposes and you do not use someone's information especially their credit card for tax purposes. then she said oh we just cant delete the information from our files our computer wont let us.

If you select a promotional price on the Intelius website, you will also receive a free 7 day trial of Identity Protect. After the 7 day trial, it will convert to a regular subscription and bill out at $19.95 monthly.

However, there’s no obligation. If you determine within the 7 day trial that you no longer want Identity Protect, you can cancel your service anytime, online or over the phone with a customer support representative.

Please call 888-445-2727 Monday to Friday from 5am to 8pm and Saturday from 6am to 4:30pm. We will be more than happy to assist you with your account.

Unfortunately our call center was closed on 11/23/2010 due to a snow storm.

I gave these people my credit card information for a recent transaction and now I get these Email from businesses thanking me for my member ship and there charging my credit card. That information had to come from Intelius because that's the only time I ever used this particular card.

Was searching to locate an old friend, and since then, without authorization, intelius has been taking $19.95 out of my checking account. Tried to contact them on a Saturday by phone... 10 minutes of garbage recordings later they gave their business hours which don't include weekends. The voice provided a web site to cancel this unauthorized coverage, and the site (intelius.com/manage) does not exist.

i went to intelius.com and emailed them asking how to cancel my account. they sent the same website back. intelius.com/manage everytime i put this in it goes to my accounts homepage. this is an outrage!

You really shouldn't give your credit card number and phone number on a website that is open to the public. That is a good way to get your identity stolen. You are making it easy for someone to steal your identity.

I was told that when i clicked onto their website and used one of their services, I was automatically enrolled into their credit monitoring service-at $21.59 a month!Charged of course to my credit card! I already have/use another monitoring service, why would I subscribe to another?!

was wandering why my debit card had 3 debit charges of 19.95 on my statement from November- January call the [protected] that was listed it is not open on the weekend then found other complaints about these charges. i just got some information on people search about someone i was looking for i paid the charges that was needed for the search and every since then i have been charged for that one time search. i was not aware that it takes a monthly charge for a one time search. i even went to the website intellius.com/manage to cancel and the website does not exist. i will be filing a police fraud report and call them first thing on Monday to get this matter resolved. This is the most awful thing that this site is doing to people, there should be a law against this, signed mad as hell!

I did a quick search on the intellius site as a one time user not agreeing to any membership. Interestingly enough they keep trying to charge my credit card for 19.95 which I did not agree to. However, my credit card has been declining their charges but did let the one that I did approve go through. I have emailed them to cancel and the comment was to go to services and cancel there. Amazingly enough I don't have any services. I will be calling them and I have no problem sitting on hold for 20 minutes or longer.

Be very very careful when you use this service. It's full of hidden costs and traps. At this moment i am on hold with customer servie trying to find out why $19.95 is being deducted from my debit card. I'm being told it was because i signed up for a subscription service and a trial service for an identity theft program, that unless I cancelled it, I would be charged a monthly fee. I had no idea at the time of using this search program I was being sucked right into this. I really thought i was paying a one time fee for a search.

I have contacted you several times in the past about not charging my bank account for services that I do not use, and yet, you continue to do so. I want this stopped. I am a disabled veteran and cannot afford this, so Please stop charging me. I appreciate your coorporation in this matter.

i used intelius to check one phone number for 99cents cancelled my subscription same day. Got comformation of cancelation then was charged the membership fee of 21.00 plus put me on overdraft fee of 34.00 i have sent in cancelation 3 times now, recieved e-mail that my acct will be charged another fee. i am being ripped off by this company for the uses of one #

I used intelius for an e-mail address i wanted n after giving info needed plus of course credit card info i never could get into it because invalid password kept coming up n i am positve i put the correct one and all they kept showing was another request to tryagain and for again me reputting credit card info in again to be charged twice. Please help me with this problem. thanks, Diane N Martin

They did not inform me that they will be charging monthly for an inquiry that I mde just once. They are charging me a monthly fee of something I am not using. I want the fee/s to be reimbursed to me, my information/data and subscription (if any) cancelled.

After cancelling my membership and receiving a confirmation from Intelius on Nov. 5th 2010, today 11-23-10 I have found on my checking account this morning when checking it online that they have deducted the $19.95 from my account again. I've tried to call and all I got was a voice message saying they were unable to take calls today and that I could email them. What a head ache just to cancel a membership.

******BEWARE******** do not subscribe to this service... they will continue to charge your account for unused service, and even after complaint and cancel, they would not refund charges. THIS IS A SCAM ! I had to call customer service at 5AM just to get a "real person" to speak to.

yeah...I did that! and still they keep my money. "They say"...they can not "find" my account...but yet they find it when they need to charge my CC. I can not "give them" an account number...because there simply is no "account number" detail attached to the charge on my CC. Very shabby business practice. This scam company is very obviously in the continued practice of doing this to their "customers"...shame on them...I am on a fixed income like many others...and they continued to "rob" me...the tough part is they don't use a gun...they use cyber space - where no one can stop them! They should be in jail. Potential 'customers'...heed my warning. do not buy into this scam. You may "think" you are signing up for a 3 month membership offer...but you will continue to be charged...over asnd over and over...run for your life. Stay far far away ...

I went on the intelius web-site as a favor for a friend. It was the $1.95 special, cancel anytime. We found no real useful information, so I immediately canceled, yet a $19.95 charge is on my VISA. I didn't authorize this and when I call their number, I get a series of messages and never get through. Beware of this fraudulent company!

I have been fighting with these folks for almost a year...they have defrauded my account for at least a year. WHEN I called them and requested a refund they indicated they could only authorize 1 Month.
I will taking them to small claims court. I also notice that there is a Class Action suit against them but they know the Legal system and by the time the Judge grants a settlement They will be broke.

This was my first time on this intelius and it started charging me for things I did want and it took a lot of my money and I want my money back. I talk to a custemer sevice lady and she told me it was a one time fee so now I think this is a rip off I will l known longer use this sevice agan and I want my money back

Intelius has been unresponsive to my request to remove my personal information from their website. They request "verification" of said personal information, but provide no guarantees they won't just use this verification to further harrass me and invade my privacy. Careful - this is likely a scam!

This company clearly attempts to take advantage of busy people who don't take the EXTRA TIME that is required to understand and stop their subscription to this predatory company. My experience was just yesterday, but I identified this company right away as a SCAM. All I wanted was to get information regarding a former tenant of mine and they proceeded to sign me up for two different programs that will automatically keep charging my credit card on a monthly basis. One program automatically started in just 7 days... so BE AWARE! Also, watch your credit card for any unauthorized charges that this company might facilitate...

I was charged 19.95 for four months I called Wells Fargo to report this fraud claim, they sent me a new card. and i'll be damned if intellius charghed me twice on the new card. I again called Wells to report a fraud on this new card.they said that they automatically find the new card number and charge on that account.I will try and call intelius on Monday and try to cancel their service.if not i will continue to call Wells Fargo to credit my account and issue me a new card.Wish me luck

Armando Martinez, by changing the card number doesn't do anything because it is tied to the same account number. Close that checking account and open a new checking account with a completely different new card number. Do not use the same card you have.

Intelius has been under suspicion of fraudulent practices for several years, and continues to be. If you need to remove your personal information from the Intelius website, do NOT submit a copy of your driver's license to Intelius, even if your picture is blocked out. They will use your driver's license information and to either post it on another of their internet sites or sell it to another internet marketing company. Contact the State of Washington Attorney General and file a complaint: 206.464.6684.

This company advertises that they only charge your credit card if they find information for you. Not true. They charged my credit card and found nothing. When I wrote to them, they told me that I could have a "credit" toward another search. I don't want another search, I want my money back, which was never supposed to be taken in the first place.

Like other Intelius one-time customers, I was billed for the same service many times. This company advertises fake (not what they really provide) services and bills its customers over and over again. It is criminal!

The problem with Intelius is that it does not provide what it is asked for. It tricks its customers into a long time "membership" without their consent. I took extra steps to make sure I do not become member. I checked twice on everything I ordered, but...it DID NOT HELP! Intelius tricked me anyway. I ordered ONE TIME "people search" for 39.99. Intelius billed me 10.99 instead, and MADE ME ITS MEMBER anyway! Sounds familiar? That's because, Intelius does it all the time: IT IS A FRAUD! That's all.

July 2011 I made a name search with a credit card payment $2.99, the information I got was out-of-date and helpless. Last week, I noticed a credit card auto withdraw on my bank statement $19.95 so I looked back to each monthly statements and realized I have been charged $19.95 since last July to now, I called Intelius, talked to someone in India, he told me there will be no more charge. How can they do that? How is public justice look at this?

THE SERVISE I RECEIVED WASN'T WORTH THE MONEY I AGREED TO PAY EITHER. LEFT ALONE THE EXTRA THEY CHARGED ME! "HOW CAN THEY DO THAT?" I DON'T KNOW. THEY DO IT, THOUGH. AND...SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE ABOUT IT. MAYBE THE GOOD IDEA WOULD BE TO START A PUBLIC PETITION ON "CHANGE.ORG" ?
