On this website you register enter your information and then when you go and try to get the information for the reverse lookup it keeps putting you back into the login mode. they refused to delete my information and only disable my account from their side. they said their is no way for me to delete it on my own. they said they had to keep the credit card on record and my information for tax purposes when I told them I know you can no do it. if I am not a customer you can not use me for tax purposes and you do not use someone's information especially their credit card for tax purposes. then she said oh we just cant delete the information from our files our computer wont let us.

If you select a promotional price on the Intelius website, you will also receive a free 7 day trial of Identity Protect. After the 7 day trial, it will convert to a regular subscription and bill out at $19.95 monthly.

However, there’s no obligation. If you determine within the 7 day trial that you no longer want Identity Protect, you can cancel your service anytime, online or over the phone with a customer support representative.

My Mastercard has a charge for $19.95 for subscription which I did not agree to. I did have .99 the previous month for a trial which I had agreed to.

I signed up for ONE usage of Intelius and could not use it. I have now been charged THREE times and the last time was last week. I'm demanding my money back, I did not sign up for this company (?) or it's usage for an every month charge. I want that money returned to my account, or next week, I will call the Fraud Unit. I have gone through this before, and I will NOT go through this again.

Does ANYONE know how to end this? Anyone... We're all talking about it and complaining, but no one seems to be able to figure out how to get out of it. They've charged my debit card 20 bucks... I'm a friggin' poor college student. I used it once. I thought it was a little one time charge... You know... It's happened to everyone else. How do we end it? I can't afford this...

I just paid 8.95 for an attempt to look up an e-mail or a good address for a person that owes my office money. Both were incorrect and the phone number was disconnected. I am just looking for information and the web site keeps asking for more money which bothers me because it did not help the first time. Please e-mail me about what can be done.

I order information for one time charge Of $9.95; The following month I was charged $19.95 subscription service, because they had my credit card number to do so without authorization. Don't give them any credit card numbers.

This site is not a business or government agent. In fact if you look at the sponsors they are the same companies that took money from you in the first place. I have a feeling they run this place to give people a forum to vent without actually having any real regulatory agency know about it.

Everyone here should be logging a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

To complain to the Better Business Bureau contact them at: alaskaoregonwesternwashington.bbb.org
select consumers and then file a complaint.

If you enter Bellevue WA and Intelius in the company name they will come up with the correct location for the company.

I have two receipts for two charges for 24 hour search that would last 24 hours only. They have continued to charge me $19.95 a month. I have submitted them to the FTC and will to the Attorney General's office for Wash state.

This is a "people search" website. Used their "reverse cell phone" search, paid $4.99 for expanded information. Was provided information that was several years old, if it was ever accurate at all.

I authorized one 99 cent charge and am now billed 19.95 / month for a subscription I did not order. I wish to immediately cancel the intelius program that I am being billed for as of this month and would like my card credited with this months fee. Me too, they offered me a free 30 daycredit protection, after 20 daysI contacted them I told them I wouldn't be accepting their offer I have now been charged twice for an offer that was suppose to be free and they have my checking account in overdraft now because I was expecting the charges to be replaced not more taken out. I have contacted the Fair Trade Commission and file a complaint maybe the feds can do more than I've been able to do.

Hi I Experienced tha same scam of 19.95 made by VALUEMAX.I would like to file a legal lawsuit against Intelius and VALUEMAX .Please send your name address and phone number to my email /ihanti@yahoo.ca/ because I want to convince the court that my case is not an isolated incident and how wide spread this scam is.Thank you for your help.I really hope that I can do something against these online scam companies. /Ivan/

I used INTELIUS once for information from a reverse lookup. I paid the one-time charge for the info I needed. They have now charged me a 19.95 subscription fee, and I checked the "NO" box for the subscription offer. I see that this has happened to many others as well.

I only wanted ONE phone number checked, was charged the $.99 that I was supposed to, then was charged $19.95 for 24 hrprotect plus, and then today was charged another $19.95 for intelius subscription. I never autherized those charges to be deducted from my account! I sent an email after the first $19.95 charge to cancel whatever I was enrolled in, and also wanting a refund. Still no answer from them, I'm going to contact my bank to see what can be done to stop charges. Def. a rip off!

2007 to 2009 I was billed 29.95 for a service I did not receive by privacy matters. I usually don't check my banking statements because I usually have every thing in order. I caught it after 3 months of being billed and call to have it canceled, but they didn't. every month they took money from me and I never received an E-mail or letter in the mail stating anything about my account; being good, bad, no activity or something has been added, nothing. They got me for almost 700.00. They also tried to scam me by sending a 10.00 check in the mail through budget rent a car, saying since I was such a good customer of budget they sent me a check. Well I was informed by them that cashing the check gave them authorization to debit my account for there services. If I was already getting a service from them why would I need another watching the same social. They do nothing but set back and take money from people, they are a scam. Eveyone should report them to the beter business beauro, I know I am.

MY WIFE PAID $.99 FOR A ONE TIME PHONE NUMBER CHECK. THEY HAVE CHARGED OUR CREDIT CARD THREE TIMES FOR $19.95 AND WE HAVE JUST CAUGHT IT. I RECOMMEND CHECKING YOUR STATEMENT EVERY MONTH AS THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IN A MONTH WE HAVE CAUGHT UNAUTHRIZED CHARGES.

Complaint sent for at least the 4th time to Intelius regarding Order #[protected]:
If you will check your records, you will see that you could not locate the number for which I was looking. You charged my $9.95 (even tho originally it was to be $4.95) and I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN MY REFUND. I am sure this is just venting for no possible reason because I have contacted your company several times to no avail and this was July/August 2008.

My wife paid for a people search providing a valid ssn and recieved wrong information which was confirmed by contacting the state, borough administration office.Many attempts were made by phone to address this problem and all we got was several twenty minute or longer waits that ended with phone line going dead.We want our money refunded and intelius SHUT DOWN

I used what I thought was a one time service of identity search and ended up with a $19.95 monthly fee charged to my credit card, which is proving very hard to remove. Intelius hard to reach, Bank of America says I need to talk to Intelius before charge removed- I 'm betting they call monthly subscription something else, and one clicks on it while doing what is thought to be a one time event (which they also charge for). Never again!
