I booked a car through EconomyBookings.com (Booking No. B19830842) and paid in full using a credit card via BirBank (Kapital Bank, Azerbaijan). When I contacted the rental provider (CARLOVE) in Antalya, Turkey, they informed me that they never accepted the booking and had no available cars. I was left without a vehicle and had to cancel a non-refundable hotel reservation in Cappadocia, resulting in a $57 loss.
I submitted two refund requests through EconomyBookings’ Help Center starting on July 23. As of today (July 29), I have received no refund and no reply. Despite their public response on Trustpilot, they completely ignored my case. To make matters worse, they emailed me asking to “rate the service” — even though they delivered nothing.
This is a clear case of service not delivered. I have now filed a chargeback through my bank and reported them to the European Consumer Centre and Latvian authorities. I am demanding a full refund and warning others to avoid this platform.
Claimed loss: 235 USD (78.01 usd of the car rental, + 57 usd we lost our booking in the city where we wanted to travel, + 100 usd - becuaise we had to book new hotel room in the delivery city)
Desired outcome: I am requesting a full refund for the undelivered car rental service If possible, I also request compensation for the $57 USD loss I incurred due to a non-refundable hotel booking that was ruined by this failure.
