Store: Dollar Tree #10999 – 3434 52nd Street, Kenosha, WI
Date of Incident: Sunday, September 27, 2026
I am extremely disappointed with the experience I had at this store. After purchasing Halloween items, I discovered that a pot holder, kitten mittens, and a Halloween mask were missing. I checked my home and car, then returned to the store with my receipt.
The cashier at Register One immediately admitted that I had left those items behind and even retrieved the exact products from a cart. She explained that the manager instructs staff to restock items customers accidentally leave — which means paid merchandise is being resold.
While I was speaking with her, another employee interrupted, spoke to me rudely, and loudly suggested I might be trying to get free items. This was embarrassing and completely inappropriate.
The next day, the manager told me the cameras showed I received all my items, contradicting what the cashier had already confirmed. His only response was “sorry,” with no explanation or accountability.
I am very disappointed in the handling of paid merchandise, the conflicting information, and the disrespectful treatment I received. I am requesting follow‑up and corrective action.
Claimed loss: Several Halloween decoration items Paid approximately $57.00 for all the decorationsFYI, receipt did get partial wet
Desired outcome: I am very disappointed in the handling of paid merchandise, the conflicting information, and the disrespectful treatment I received. I am requesting follow‑up and corrective action.
