I made some purchases,!paid with my debit card & requested cash with the machine. When it went through, the cashier tells "I should have told her I wanted cash so she could see if she had the cash". I asked why do I have to tell her that. She said that's the store's policy. I then told the cashier if this is something new with Dollar Tree, they need to
" Post" this information before customers start their transactions OR the cashier should ask customers how they're paying and/or let customer know they have no cash if they intend to use their cards for that purpose.
i use debit cards and/or credit cards most of the time when purchasing anything and. never encountered anything like this.
Desired outcome: Would like an explanation. Is this this store or all your stores policy?

Policy or not, it is common sense to ask for cash back, if you wanted cash back.
