I would like to file a complaint against Jeffery H. store 19900 things that go on there aren't right yes he is a hard worker but he can't keep anybody there because he pushes them so hard. I have seen him get so mad at people for example I had been there 2 weeks I am 62 years old and I was working for Amanda Elliott at the Galaxy Store and my husband had the coronavirus so after he came home from the hospital I had to take care of him before I went back to work than when I went back she only let me work one day a week 9 hours that was all I could work so I went to the Woodlawn Store and talked to Jeff he told me to ask Amanda to transfer me over so she did I have worked retail 25 years the second week I was there he left me by myself for hours the power went off and I had to call him there was a very long line he came in there in his pajamas and bedroom shoes and said he shouldn't be there I said why I needed help he said I have been drinking I said you shouldn't be here he stayed to help till the next person came in so many of the customers said he wasn't much of a manager to have left me there by myself. Well I had had surgery twice on both my hands carpal tunnel in left hand hurts really bad if I lift too much I go get shots in it every 3 months well for my age I work so hard and I do like I am told. Well yesterday the assistant manager was there he has been gone training for regional manager well Jeff had left totes stacked up so tall I couldn't reach them so I put them on a roll tanner and took them to the back and I was off on Sunday so yesterday when I came in she asked me who took the totes in the back I said I did I know how bad Jeff doesn't like stuff on the floor there was make up in a basket and she wanted to know who put all of that makeup in that buggy I said I was told by the other girl not to worry with it and if I had any more makeup to put it in the buggy, so that's what I did she said it was supposed to be discontinued I said well I wasn't told that. So she had me to do a planogram then asked me when I was going to go do those totes I said when I get this done she said they were stacked wrong and I had to restack them right so I went started doing them then the fresh truck came and I had to stop my hand was throbbing it was so painful but I pulled the milk out and started to put it up I only got 1 carton of eggs out and some milk and I had to quit my hand was hurting so bad I just couldn't put nothing else out so I just left. So she called Jeff and then Jeff had called me and left me a message I have never complained before but I have always liked dollar general and I had talked to Amanda about coming back to work for her and she had told me to talk to Jeff and try to smooth things over and have Jeff transfer me back to her store I did and he told her he fired me for leaving yesterday. I think he was wrong and when I left yesterday the assistant manager wasn't up front but she texts me and accused me of leaving her high and dry to work by herself and her 6 months pregnant causing stress to her and her baby that's not my fault that Jeff won't schedule more people. I would still like to go back to Amanda's store and help her the assistant manager every time Jeff isn't there he leaves her to do stuff she sits and cries because she can't do things by herself this was even before she got pregnant. Its such a shame that more people can't work and help each other.
