Credit One Bank review: Credit card

I am filing this complaint regarding repeated cash advance charges on my Credit One Bank credit card that I did not request, authorize, or use.

On August 18, 2026, I was charged $400.00 for a cash advance that I did not request and did not receive. This is the third time I have experienced a cash advance charge that I did not authorize.

The first and second times this happened, I contacted Credit One Bank and the charges were eventually removed. However, the company did not provide me with an explanation of how the unauthorized cash advances occurred or what steps were being taken to prevent the problem from happening again.

This time, Credit One Bank is refusing to remove the $400.00 charge even though I have repeatedly explained that I did not request or use the cash advance. I have contacted the company approximately four separate times since August 8, 2026, regarding this issue.

I have two Credit One Bank credit cards, and both cards have been locked for approximately the past three months. I have not used either card for any purchases, cash advances, or other transactions during that period. Because of this, I do not understand how a $400.00 cash advance could have been processed on my account.

I am also concerned about Credit One Bank repeatedly sending cash advance checks to my home. This issue began approximately six to seven months ago, when I first noticed these problems. I have contacted the company and specifically asked them to stop sending these checks. I have told them that I do not want the checks, I do not use them, and I destroy them when they arrive. Despite my requests, the company has continued sending them.

Credit One Bank has told me, in substance, that the checks were sent to me and has asked whether I received them. I have explained that receiving the checks does not mean that I requested or used a cash advance. I am concerned that these repeated cash advance offers or checks may be connected to the unauthorized cash advance charges appearing on my account.

I am requesting that Credit One Bank conduct a complete investigation into how these cash advance transactions were initiated, remove the $400.00 unauthorized cash advance charge and any related fees or interest, and explain in writing how this transaction occurred despite my cards being locked and unused.

I also want Credit One Bank to stop sending unsolicited cash advance checks to me and to take whatever steps are necessary to prevent additional unauthorized cash advance transactions from occurring.

Because this has happened three times, I am concerned that this may not be an isolated incident. I am asking the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to review this complaint and help determine whether there is a recurring problem with how these cash advances are being generated or processed. I also want to know what protections are available to prevent this from happening again.
