Fraudulent use of my card charged back to me
On June 19, 2023, at 2:46 PM CST I was at my work located in Richardson, Texas when I received two text messages from Credit One Bank alerting me to two purchases in two separate locations, Clique in Queens, NY and Foot Locker in Elmhurst, NY, that were declined because the card was over its limit. I logged into my Credit One account ending in **24 and discovered there were two unauthorized purchases on my account. These purchases were for $119.76 at Champs Elmhurst, NY and $141.54 Asphalt Store in Elmhurst, both on June 19, 2023. I immediately contacted Credit One Bank to report the unauthorized purchases and I was transferred to the fraud department (outsourced to a call center in Pakistan) where I was asked several questions about the purchases. I answered them as follows: 1. I did not authorize anyone to make purchases with my credit card. 2. I did and still do have possession of the card ending in **24 and there are not authorized users on the account. 3. I was physically in Richardson, TX while the purchases were made in Queens and Elmhurst, NY. The card was cancelled, and a new card was issued. On June 20, 2023, Credit One Bank notified the three credit bureaus that my card ending in **24 was over the limit, and my Credit Score was injured by 47 points negative. One June 26, 2023, I received an email saying the charges were authorized because a chip card was used, and I was charged for the purchases. I have submitted complaints to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency who handles these banks. My great credit has been injured and my next step is to hire an attorney. This issue has not been resolved as of July 25, 2023, and I have closed both of my credit card accounts.
Desired outcome: Financial compensation for all the aggravation they caused me and injury to my good credit rating and proper reporting to the three credit bureaus.
No activation?
I applied for this card. I never heard whether or not I was accepted. I received the card in the mail but it said that it was $75 to activate. In the meantime, I was offered one with a much higher balance, and lower annual fee. I put the Credit One card to the side. I figured I had to activate it and pay $75 if I needed it. NO, it came activated and now my credit is tarnished because I am late for the $75! What if someone else opened my mail with an activated card? This is bad business! I am trying to rebuild my credit since my recent divorce ruined it. Now I'm showing LATE on a card that I did not even think was activated! THEN I just tried to log on my computer to sign in after having to change my password 9 times, because the phone ap doesn't correspond with the website on my desktop, it keeps kicking me back to the sign in page. I can not get on either my phone OR the desktop site. Bonkers!
Desired outcome: I would like to pay the $75 and I really think you should take that 'Late Payment' blemish off of my credit. This is exactly why I did not even want to get one of these low limit, high interest cards.
Late Payment Fee
My payment was due on Sunday 7/16/23, I am unable to get access to my account on Sundays. I paid it on Monday 7/17/23, but yesterday they already posted a $39.00 late fee to my account. You would think I would have had at least till the next business day to be able to post payment. I have had this card for years. It's bad enough that I am charged a yearly fee. Now $39.00 for 1 day late? Once I pay off my small balance, I will no longer use this card.
Desired outcome: I don't need them to refund anything. Like I said, I'll just pay off my balance and be done with it.
My online account
I have been trying to access my account online through my computer and phone which I had installed from the start, but I can't because of some type of error on te part of credit one bank. This issue needs to be fixed or else I myself have no way of paying my bill but online for I am presently overseas. I am hoping that credit one bank is not trying to allow this errors unfixed on their part to cause good customers like me to have bad credit on my name by trying to say we the customers are not paying our dues and put penalties and worst get our account issues to a collection agency and get poor credit background with the credit bureaus, when truth is all these errors that's going on is all credit one bank's fault and not us. They need to fix this or else we can't pay our bills for we got no access to our account to do our online payments like we have always done. I am presently overseas, so I do depend on paying any bills of mine online.
Desired outcome: I do hope that Credit One Bank will fix this errors they are causing us customers of theirs wherein we won't be the one to pay and suffer the consequences the problems they caused.
Charges
My name is Johnny Corbin and I have no problem paying for my credit card. I have the american express card through credit one. I feel that I should not have to pay a penalty for something that I did not create. Without notice I was charged a $95 annual fee which cause my account to be overdrawn. I was charged a $41 penalty because of that transaction. I feel that I was unfairly charged for a situation that could have been avoided if I were notified about the annual fee. Suspended bank card
I got approved for the credit one bank card in late April 2023. While I was waiting for it to come in the mail I called to ask if there was a virtual card number for online shopping& a few times to try to check the Arrival in the mail. The next time I called to check I was told that the account was cancelled due to being reported as stolen or fraudulent. I had no idea what they were talking about because I was still waiting for the card to arrive in the mail. The card finally came in early may but couldnt be activated because one of the customer service reps obviously messed it up for me with inaccurate info. And I can't Even access My online account because it keeps saying account temporarily suspende.

Credit card
This credit card is a joke. I was charged a monthly fee for a protection plan that I NEVER signed up for. When I called to complain and get it removed the guy asked me to “prove that I did not sign up for it”? How can I prove that? Why don’t you prove to me that I did sign up for it? So incredibly ridiculous and should be against the law to scam people.

Got approved for a new Credit one card, 14 business days it never came. I spoke to a supervisor he said he would expedite my new card 3-5 business days. It never came, spoke to another supervisor. She said it would take an additional 3-5 business days. It still never came! Called today, just to find out that they sent my card to an Old address. Supervisors whole time have been lying to me giving me misinformation. Now they say I have to wait an additional 10-14 business days for my next card. This company is one of the credit card companies out, advise people stay away from this company they don’t value customers.

Customer service
I called credit one bank at 10:16am. I spent 13 minutes and 22 seconds speaking to a foreign female customer service representative that never gave me her name. She then proceeded to stall me for the entire time when all I needed was a payment inadvertently made to be cancelled out of the system. She stated she changed my email address as well as cancelled the payment. Before completing the call she proceeded to hang up on me and the payment was never cancelled out. I called back at 11:03am and spoke with a foreign gentleman for 11 minutes and 37 seconds who also did not disclose his name. He proceeded to make the requested changes and updated my email the female stated she had already made.
I verified he did cancel out the payment but when I asked him for the previous reps name to file a complaint he put me on hold, came back and stated
that there was no way to confirm who I spoke with which means she did not note the account or he lied and withheld that information to protect her from accountability. I spent over 22 minutes on the phone for something that I should have been able to do online or on the app.
Desired outcome: I want something advising that this representative has been retrained. I had to repeat what I needed over and over again and she still did not understand the basic question I asked. This is a complete waste of time and energy.
credit card
I have tried to cancel my card for 2 years. I've been paying a monthly fee of
$8.45 to maintain my credit score. Apparently Credit One thinks I'm deceased and requires me to mail my driver's license to Las Vegas to prove I'm still alive. If I'm dead, who keeps paying my fee? I've spent countless hours on the phone with multiple customer service agents who all reside in India and can barely speak English only to finally speak to someone in Las Vegas who told me to email the proof I am still alive so I can finally cancel my card. I want 500$ to compensate me for my time and money spent.

Bad right now
So this app has an easy to understand interface, it looks clean, and it’s up and running most of the time. The problem is with the policy itself. Why do we have to wait for so long for a single payment to process. I always see the “A payment has been posted to your credit card account” notification, but then the money is never taken from my account until days or sometimes weeks later! It’s confusing and honestly quite irritating. Also the customer support is non existent. If I want a faster payment I have to pay a 8 dollar “service fee” just to talk to a real person. I have no wait to contact anyone whatsoever. The only way I’ve seen is through mail, not email, but through snail mail. Really? Plus I have to pay for postage too! Just for a complaint or to right a wrong in my credit account. I’ve never seen another finance institution only communicate with its clients through snail mail. It’s 2021, come on now guys. You guys need to make it simple to communicate with your clients, and for the love of god do something about the payment wait times.

HORRIFIC Customer Service!
Credit One bank has their cs calls answer on the other side of the world. These people will lie in a heartbeat. I live in Las Vegas, where corporate stands… I’ve had reps tell me for the last week that corporate is closed. The most ridiculous reason being because they’ve had a high volume of calls ♀️ … when you ask to speak to a supervisor they give you the person never to them. Yes I do know that for a fact as I used to run a call center ♀️ Then when you ask to be transferred to a rep in the USA, you are put on eternal hold.
The app has had a problem for well over a week now. No it’s not my phone ( iPhone 12 Pro Max). No it’s not an internet connection and No I do not owe them money my account is TOTALLY free of any issues, at least it better be since I just paid it down to $0.00
They do not accept technical tickets from customers, ONLY from their own support team, which is again a RIDICULOUS practice. If customers telling you there is a problem isn’t enough THAT is an all together bigger problem.
So I’m going to drive to the corporate office.

can’t access my account
a replacement card that was sent to my old address was used fraudently, that card was closed and a new card was sent to my new address which I updated online and with a rep over the phone. credit one investigated and covered the losses but till this day I have not received a call from their fraud team. tried to activate my new card and a rude female rep said that I called to cancel my newest card. I told her there must be some mistake since I had already updated my address through their website and with another rep. I told her I did put in a dispute to have the fraudulent amount removed from my credit report but was not disputing the ownership of the account. she pretty much told me that the fraud team would call and till this day they have not. now I’m locked out of my account and I can’t even pay my monthly pro rated annual feel. thanks a lot credit one, they leave me no choice but to file a complaint with the ComplaintsBoard.com and close this account. credit one does not treat their clients fairly. my identity thief is still walking free without prosecution

Please fix bugs
The app WAS working fine when I originally got my two credit cards last year. Some time after that they completely redid the app. I now get kicked off and have to log back in CONSTANTLY. Literally every time I log in. I had a payment due on Friday and became so tired of it kicking me out (5 times. 5 times the app kicked me off “due to inactivity” while trying to make this payment) went online, website told me it was down. Of course my frustration led to me saying “eff it” and today I got an email reminding me I now have two past due payments. It only kicked me off 4 times this time before I was able to complete my payment, but considering how hard I have been working on my credit score this past two years I am so not ok with this. I have canceled my cards because of the app and website issues. I DO pay my bills on time. I WANT to be able to pay my bills on time. I should be ABLE to do that in 2021 without having to call customer service or send in a check.
Everything else with the card was great. And would reconsider credit one down the road when they fix these bugs.

Not real-time
Trying to get my current statement and called to talk to supervisor as closing date was on 23rd I usually see it posited in my account and when I called they said it’s there I asked to email they said they can’t email statements to my email on file. I asked to send it into the app they said they can’t will take 3 days to post as I need ASAP for financial reasons.
I paid off this credit card asked for a letter to be sent which they did however the letter did not have the companies letterhead and finance company wouldn’t accept looks like a letter I could create, they said they reported payment to all credit bureau I verified and it was not reported.
If you trying to get your credit score up by using a credit card this company was good at handing out the cards however when you need important documents or to talk to someone they will not work with you as their system is not Real-time and app I’m using isn’t current.
I will stash this card in the safe and never use again but I will not close the card as it will give you negative reporting on credit.

The Worst Customer Service known to man
I was offered to upgrade my card design NOT a replacement for a small charge which I opted for WITHOUT knowing I wouldn’t be able to use my current card that I have in my possession for 7-10 business days (until I receive the card with the upgraded design). I spoke to 5 different reps and 2 managers with no help other than “these are our procedures”…Makes a whole lot of sense to update your records prior to a card even being activated or even received by a consumer. On top of wasting over an hour of my time talking to idiots who are reading from a script and can’t actually help me solve an issue. So I have a perfectly good card in hand that I can’t use for another week since they’ve updated the information on their end after JUST shipping the “upgraded design” out yesterday. Waste of time & patience. If I knew this was going to happen I never would’ve opted for the new card design. They think by telling you the same thing over and over and over that you’ll give up even though it literally doesn’t make sense why card information was updated without the new card being activated

I was very skeptical signing up for this credit card at first. I read online that they were a terrible company to deal with. But as long as you stayed up on your due date, the $10 express payment isn’t an issue. However, I’ve had a MC for over a year, and the VISA for a year and 6 months. I encountered a problem where they kept returning my CC payments and I would eventually become over on my balance (got laid off for several months so I hit a hard time on my balances). After contacting my bank, there was no attempts to withdrawal my payments. I called and they made a real good attempt to fix the problem. Waived my fees, interest, and annual payment for the month it was messed up. The next following statement they re instated all my charges! I called and asked why that happened, and the lady told me there’s nothing they can do even though the person I talked to last corrected the problem. I argued and fussed but they just wanted the money they waived back! So in the long run they screwed me over and didn’t do anything to fix it. Beware, they’re sneaky! I no longer have either of the two accounts I held with them. Not worth the problem.

Never updates
This rarely updates to real time to show what I’ve spent. For the longest time it showed I had a bill for July due (July 26th) however I paid this mid July. I’d go to pay and it say minimum payment was 0. Ok, we can see I have made the payment and it hasn’t updated. At some point it showed my last purchase went through. However, apparently this wasn’t reflected on my balance summary because I log in today and am “past due” and over the limit. A. How can I be past due when the new date of payment is August 26th (FYI this is a future date?) and I’m past due when before I still had money left and my last purchases had went through. I keep up with the amount I owe, I didn’t know it’d be such a hassle to ask the company to do the same. Pretty sure some random “fees” go through to push me over my limit every time. I wish I would have looked into more credit cards instead of being young and dumb and accepting this stupid offer because the fees are ridiculous and rarely ever is the account kept up to date with how much has actually been spent and how much is still actually left on my card. Worst credit card ever. So ready to pay it off and get OUTTA credit one’s scheme path.

Can I just make a payment?
Okay I’m going to try to explain the problems I have with Credit One. Maybe I’m just an idiot but I’ll try to explain it the best I can. So I have an annual or monthly fee whether I use the credit card or not. That’s fine. I get it. When the fee debits from my available credit, I pay it immediately. I have it set up where I receive an email alert as soon as the fee is posted to my account. The payment is usually debited from checking account pretty quickly so all is good right. No, no, Credit One still reports that I have a balance to the credit bureaus even though my balance was paid in full immediately. This really pisses me off. Now, Credit One is making me verify my checking account every time I go to make a payment. It takes 3-5 business days before my account is verified before I can make a payment. They will not allow me to use an alternate payment method until my checking account is verified. Keep in mind, I’ve already verified my checking account and I use said account to make multiple payments. What a freaking joke. This company is a set up from the start and they will burn you every chance they get. I highly recommend you do not use this company. They are a scam. Thank you for your time.

The apt is limited
Unlike my American Express card. This credit one apt is limited and is not on the same level as other credit card apt’s. First of all it will not show notifications on my lock screen and it is a option in my settings! Second of all if I wanted to contact customer service through my apt I can’t do that.. but my Discover apt can! So what’s the problem with creditone? Third of all their need to be a complete history of your payments on one did and it needs to indicate when something is being taken out or the credit card is being used! It want even make a sound! Yes i set up notifications in the notification section! It still don’t work?! The transaction details should notify you whenever theirs a transaction or transfer immediately! But it don’t? Why don’t y’all check check out the Discover card apt and All it’s features? Get some pointers.. drop the pride! Get up to speed on this thing! After all it your customers that’s frustrated! I’m one! Do you care? When a purchase is made their isn’t a notification to inform you that your card has been used.. and the interest rates are too high! It need to be easier to see all of your purchases.. if you want to improve your apt the study the Discover card apt! Its pretty much perfect..
