I was looking for a solution to a oil boiler heating problem and decided to try this site out - the so called expert had little or limited knowledge of my problem, was from the usa; I was expecting a uk based engineer and when I realised that the so called expert had limited experience decided to withdraw from the service. I now discover they can hold the deposit I made with paypal for up to five days before refunding. If I was cynical and made the basic calculation that 10, 000 people had preferred to opt out then would make a lot of bank interest on the funds they are holding.

Anytime you use a credit card for any type of authorization your funds can be held for a few days. It is common for gas/petrol stations to authorize and hold funds from your card for more than the purchase to make sure the funds are available.

I've used them and it was great. $18 answer saved me $60.
