Golden Corral rude manager

I visited the location above with my wife who is 35 weeks pregnant and my 3-year old. While getting our food, we accidentally dropped a serving utensil on the floor. We picked it up and no employees came about to offer to take the utensil, so we put it on the side of a table. Then the general manager Kane Wright came and scolded me for putting the utensil back with the food. He went on for a good 2-3 minutes in front of a crowd. Instead of offering to help or take the utensil away, he scolded me for something so minor. He finally walked away, shaking his head, and said "OUTRAGEOUS" several times. I was totally shocked, embarassed, and shakened by such incident. I walked away and 10 minutes later after the situaion eased, I asked for his name and card. He went off on me again. He told me to walk away because he didn't want to hear what I had to say. This is an outrageous incident out of nothing for several reasons.

Stopped in for lunch, one cashier was behind counter, she was busy and very pleasant but rushed. While we were in line about 15 people came in and were backed up, I asked her didn't hey have anyone to help her...she said lunch on Fridays 5/14 was usually slow. A manager was talking with a couple of the waitresses, when she finished my wife and I asked her if she could possibly get some help for the cashier..she screamed at us don't yell at me I was going to get someone to help! I did tell the "main" manager about her and he said he would talk with her. Maybe yes, maybe no you never know anymore. Anyway it will be sometime before they get any of my money, we have a Ryan's and others so I have a choice and will exercise it. The food was good, our waitress was great and she was rewarded with a 40% tip. It was a pleasure to give it to her.

Golden Corral scam

During lunch at the Golden Corral, I received a phone call from my mother that she had just found out from my stepdad's doctor that he only had just a few months to live. My mom was upset, which made me upset..AND then the sad news was upsetting as well.

I was so upset by this unexpected news that I could not finish eating, although I had just started eating right before the phone call.

I asked the waitress if I could get a doggy bag for the food that was on my plate. She said it was against company policy. I explained what had just happened and she still said she could not give me a doggy bag. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager came to me to see what my complaint was. I told her that I was too upset to finish eating and that I really needed to leave but didn't want to just throw my food out. I had paid $10.00 for lunch. She said it was against company policy. She said that it was Buffet and I was not allowed to carry out food.

I even asked her to show me the company policy manual of where it states that a consumer cannot take their "original" plate of food home with them in a situation like I had. She would not show it to me.

By this time, I was really upset; I asked her what would happen if I got up, walked out with my biscuit in my hand and was eating it as I walked out the door.

She said "You would be stealing". I asked her "How would it be stealing when I have a receipt of where I had paid for the food". She said because it is posted that you Must eat in for buffet. I told her to just keep her biscuit and her doggy bag and that I would go to Ryans from now on.

I think this is very insensitive to consumers especially for the high price for lunch! I told a few people at Ryans about the incident a few weeks ago and they told me to make a complaint AND they also gave me a doggy bag for my leftovers!

please hear this your employe did not serve us steak because matter he did not serve ayone not even my fiance . he wanted a piece of steak didnt get mash pototes a glove what going on with the food industry these days . another report filed agiasnt your company franchize please we want our money back and a few dinners added buffets and this employe the cook who cooks and serves verysexual talking about woman. not very nice one piece of steak all was on the grill . please all were asking from steve stewert is we want our money back and a buffets ten for me and my finance i think it fair . this is a COMPLAINT A complaint . he works at the golden corral in onfraklin rd. in bloomington indiana sincerely diana thompson

they are terrible, about something liek that..their management is really bad. if you take an extra piece of bread out with you- they will try to stop you and claim that you're stealing..this is how bad this restaurant is-- it's a joke...really bad place...

Golden Corral we recieved food poisoning and the resturant didn't care

On March second of this year we went to Golden Corral for dinner, we were all sick the next day all of us with symptoms of food poisoning. I went online and filed a complaint with their home office and I was told some one would get with me in a few days, it's almost a month later and still nothing. I went online line again and I have been totally ignored. I'm not looking for for any self gain here, I just want to know what they are going to do to prevent this from happening again.

There is nothing no one can do to prevent food poisoning. There is no way to prove you got food poisoning there.

Golden Corral dinner for 2 not worth $24+tip

We come through the door, the wife and I, get charged $24.00 right off the top. You know boom? Straight out of our bank account in seconds.
The chicken, and the wife and I love chicken, was fried with old oil. The breading was grease soaked, bloody near the bone. I wasn't about to even try it.
The steak, which I had, and I like it rare, I had cut off a 1/2" thick by 6" long piece of fat, leaving a 1-1/2" x 6" tid bit that practically required a chainsaw to cut it, it was so tough.
My wife had to cover the little plate with our cornbread with a napkin, due to dust being stirred up, from a waitress sweeping up crumbs from an adjacent vacated table, just because shes allowed to do this.
When we sat down with our food, my disabled wife had to make 2 full trips to the other side of the building just to find dinner rolls. Besides being disabled, she has a gastric bypass, so she gets the stares, becuse she's forced to eat about 1/6th compared to the other 1 or 200 people there. So economicaly, its a waste for her to come there. Needless to say our food was cold by the time we got dinner rolls.
Has facility ever been in trouble with the law before. When it used to be located in another city recently, the answer is YES. If I'd mentioned these issues to management, would they heed...NO. Would I accept a free dinner if offered...NO. Will I take a refund if offered...YES. Will I ever come back or refer my friends? I think you know the answer to this.

golden corral offers a bypass buffet if you didnt knw all you have to do is show them the card your dacter gives you after the procedure and they will give you a discounted price.

Golden Corral line jumping and rude patrons

My family and I actually never made it inside the restaurant. We were in line and had been waiting about 30 minutes. The couple (man and women) directly in front of our group of 10 allowed 15 other people to add to them (cutting in Line) who continually entered the line in the 30 minutes. The fact than an off duty police officer is there to monitor the crowd should have been our first clue. Needless to say we were disgusted and decided to leave your establishment. This is the second time this has happened and I do not think we will be trying again. We called and spoke to the manager who was well aware of this being a problem but seemed unconcerned.

Golden Corral cooking with dirty hands

11/21/09 at the Golden Corral in Tallahassee Fl. Noticed the baker was not wearing gloves. He kept wiping the formed dough on his dirty apron. After while he reached up under his hat scratched his head pick up more of dough roll it around into a ball and place it on the tray. The manager talking on his cell phone was also talking and laughing with the baker as if nothing was wrong. That happened in the front area were everyone could see, what is going on in the area not in public view. The whole thing was sickening, left resturant immediately.

Golden Corral cleanless

My family and I had and evening meal at Golden Coral in Emporia, Ks.The food was not hot the
food area was not clean. The bathroom was discusting. I was disappointed as I have ate at other Golden Corals and was not as bad as the one in Emporia. Needless to say I will not go back there ever again. Jane

Golden Corral out of contrl server

Me and my husband went to golden corral in sherman texas where we always go we are on first name basis with wth general manager and the employee's. On the day that we went to eat one of the servers was having a very heated discusion. It turned out to be racial, i understand the server's anger, but her actions was out of this world, her manager didnt help th matter any i believe that if the general managr was there he would of handle it better. I guess i grip is how is it that the young ladie still has her job, she knew when she took the job as a server she would have to face all kinds of people with all kinds of attiudes.I was surprise to come back to that store to find at server there i will not be goin back and i will let all the ladies in my bridge club know that they kept that young ladie employeed(that told the guess that she was coming after her the guest was scared) anytime you have a employee threaten a customer and you let that take place your business will carry a bad name cause you carry BAD HELP!

Golden Corral awful quality food

WE ate at golden corral in erie pa. WE love golden corral, we traveled about 100 miles to eat there. They open at 11 we were there about 11;45. The food was still cold. the hamburger, with out a doubt was reheated from last night, and put on bread. The bourbon chicken was cold, as was the meat loaf.

The only hot stuff was the gravy. I complained to the waitress, but she said she would tell them. At 1130 the food was still luke warm. This was on the 22th of September. I STILL love it and would go there again.

Why in the hell would you travel 100 miles for Golden Corral? After I read that sentence I stopped. You lost all credibility. Have some standards!

Golden Corral bourbon street chicken

A friend and I had dinner at Golden Corral Restaurant on Carolina Avenue in Washington, NC last Monday evening. We had the buffet and chose the same vegetables. My Friend had baked chicken and I had Bourbon Street Chicken.

I awoke at 3:00 AM, feel quite nausiated. I three up three time in a 30 minte time span. I also had severe diahrearr at the same time...fun! I am sure it was the chicken that made me sick. I have eaten it before with no problem. This was a horrible experience.

The B street chicken is cook by placing it cold from the walk in on the grill then adding the bourbon seasoing wich is red and dark in color... while cooking it some pecice take FOREVER to cook thourghly and then after that one cup of tariyaki is added...

two things could have happened. not cooked all the way which is possible, but also if they did not have enough water in the steam table it would have cooled and gone bad, the temps are supposed to be checked every two hours, but alot of stores just skip that, all it takes is four hours @ under 140 to make ppl sick. I hope this experience does not turn you away from GC.

Golden Corral service/food quality

When I go out to eat at a buffet the only meat I want is turkey. The last few times I have been to this location, the turkey is the nastiest and driest turkey I have ever ate. They also act like they are afraid to give me a real piece. It is always this small skimpy piece that wouldn't even satisfy my cat.

They also charge $2 for a soda that only costs them 25 cents per glass. Then while I am serving myself, they set dinner rolls on the table. This is a waste, because most of the time I don't want rolls, especially since they don't give me enough turkey. They can set the rolls on the buffet (like they do biscuits) and if I want a roll, I can get some myself. This would keep rolls from being needlessly thrown out. For that matter, I can get my own drink like i do at other buffet's.

To top all this off, they try to call their employees servers, even though they really aren't serving anything, and expect them to be tipped because they are to cheap to pay a real wage after ripping the customers off with the excessive prices.

I took my sister to Golden Corral for her birthday dinner, and I was so disappointed with the food, everything was dried out, or over cooked, except for the bread, babyback ribs and ham, I spoke with the manager about the food and all he said was he would speak to his head cook, I didn't want to make a scene but I was looking for him to be more concerned and at least offer us a discount, to show that he cared about the customer's satisfaction, I will not be going to the golden corral in hampton va again,

Complaint For the Manager Tony Richmond Store 7401 W Commercial Blvd. Taqmarac, FL, 33319 I went to the restaurant with my family, at the entrance i paid but at the safe they don't have any chance .The cashier called the manager she said that she need some change in front of me the manager take some cash at he safe he went to the office. At the time it was busy line i went to the table because i have kids with me few minutes ago i came back to the cashier i said can i get my change back. She said wait she didn't give my money back. When the manager came he told me he need to counted the money they have on the safe before he told me something i wait more than one hours in the store the manager didn't give my change back. i think the customer came first if i went to the restaurant i went to eat i paid my money i didn"t receiced my cash for their personal reason They don"t want to loose until i left they don"t give me my cash back, I didn"t appreciated the service because they steal my money .First the manager supposed to ask the cashier what happen to the customer money.you cannot denied customer for money.The general manager name is Tony Richmond 2 The store is locator at 7401 West commercial Blvd, Tamarac, FL 33319

Every time i try to enter the golden corral survey i can"t find it you have go through all of the web site even tho you enter the way the ticket tells you to. The food is wonderful only one draw back when they have sweet potatoes you can never fine the cinnmon or brown sugar to put on you sweet potatoe.

Golden Corral very rude customer service

I have to say not thing, you know how you walk in to the place where you get your drinks at, i do not know who she suppose to be, but i do know that is that her name is bridget in that lady is one rude person i mean you ask her a question it seemed like she just wanted to jump over the in kick some you know, but i did not go to her level. I mean i know that people come in, in work your nerves sometime, but you have to know how to control yourself if you are working in a place like that, she needs to get it together you know.

Golden Corral food declining

We have eaten at Golden Corral #0610 in Abilene, Tx., for the past seven years, at least . We live in a small town forty miles from there and eat there on the average of nine of ten trips we make to Abilene where we do most of our major shopping. Things have been going down! From food prep to restrooms. Being seniors, we have enjoyed eating on the early bird buffet and we enjoyed the chicken tenders most. They were never greasy as is the regular fried chicken. We make do with the sides that are there, but were very disappointed when they said the chicken tenders were no longer on the buffet for lunch. Also, today, Sept.4th, the soup tasted very watered down. I guess we will find another place to eat! I hate that too as we have a favorite waitress that we like to tip and know she can use what we are able to give.

This is a complaint on okla golden corral at N MacArthur. We have loved eating at your restaurants, but when we went in they said get your own plates silverware and hot rolls. I do not know if your trying to cut back, but the people you had waiting on us stood over by the coffee dept and talked. |They did better when they had to give you the plates at the front[ I do not know how that cuts down on anything. But we did get better service when the rolls were brought to us. We could not get their attention to get more coffee. My husband I have decided to eat else where. Jean Cowan

Golden Corral food waste!

My employer and I went to lunch there today, paid $20.00+. I got a salad and fixed me a plate, I felt like I was hungry but I didn't overload my plate. I have had stomach surgery so I can't eat too much at a time so I watch my portions. Well I was unable to eat everything so I asked if I could take my LEFTOVERS home. Well If I wanted to pay $4.59/lb I could and while I'll admit it would not have weighed lb (it would have been less) I did not see paying for food I just paid for.

This is ridiculous!

Golden Corral you do know what you eat!

This is to let people know to be warned... you don't know what you are eating at the golden corral in mobile, al on schillinger's rd. I worked there. My manager informed the employees that if the food hit the floor to just rinse it with water and serve it to out guest. I have witnessed fish thawing in the dirty sinks where pots are washed. Ive seen chicken left out and spoiled but served smothered with sauce to our guest. Believe me people, its disgusting to see some of the practices at that store. People have gotten sick and nothing is being done. No, i no longer work there because i felt like i was betraying my guest by knowing these unhealthy practices. I tried several times to inform the home office and talked to several people, but never got a response that would correct the problem. Trust me... when i tell you, if you eat there... you eat at your own risk. I hope this saves someone from getting sick in the future.

I would like to know why Golden Corral quit doing all day discout for senior citizens especially if they are on a special budget? Why do they charge for their tea? Shoulf tea not be included with their meal? Please respond ...

Golden Corral poor quality, bad attitude, no available food

I took my family to the golden corral restaurant in Casa Grande, Az. on Florence Blvd on 3 Dec 06 and experienced the following.

(1) Hostile server who was very arrogant to my wife. This encounter resulted in a profanity exchange between another customer and the server. Incident reported to mgr.
(2) No cream or milk available for coffee.
(3) Many vegetable dishes cold and cheese sauce almost to a hardened consistency.
(4) Many tables left dirty for long periods of time with much debris left on the floor.
(5) Overall food bins close to empty and not refilled entire period we were there.
(6) Well done steak not available but told it would be in 10 minutes. went back 3 times over a 15 minute period and was told it was just given to another customer.
I had been a customer in Tucson for about 20 years and never had such a negative experience. my son just moved to casa grande so we decided to go to the one at that location. almost all our food was left over (6 adults and 2 infants) Don't think i will ever return.

we had a table by the kithen door and as the waitress's went in and out of the kithen we could see in there the place was very nasty.so we talked to the manager and he was rude and said well when you have 1500 people in one day eating you are going to have a mess and dirty kithen.there was food and garbage all over the floors.the manager did nothing about it.he went back to his table where him and his wife were having dinner to eat.me and my husband was very up-set about this and will not return to this reatarant.it made me and my husband sick.

On May 25, 2013 my husband and I decided on going to Golden Corral in Pelham, Alabama. We went to get omelets. After about 3 minutes, my husband told the male cook that his omelet was done enough for him. The cook said "man you should have told me this in the beginning". My husband said I'm looking at the omelet and I'm telling you it's done enough. The cook then snatched the plate from my husband, slammed the omelet on the plate and gave the plate back very angry saying here man. He gave me my plate back in the same manner. We walked away and my husband said that was crazy. The cook said "who you calling crazy". At that time words were exchanged between the cook and my husband. The cook took off his apron and proceeded from around his station threatening my husband with bodily harm. At that time we called for a manager. Needless to say we did not eat and was given a refund. I usually enjoy Golden Corral in Pelham; but this experience will prevent us from going to this Golden Corral again.
We go to Golden Corral at least 2 times a week but no more.

I reserved a room on saturday march 25th, 2012 We got there at 3: 30 the room was nor ready for decorating we were cleaning tables for cloths because ppl were coming at 4: 00 ppl were still in the room to make a long story short I said I was payinf for 15 ppl they said we had 40 guest we counted 27 adults and 6 kids .they told me I had to pay for all my guest which paid there own bills about 5 of us never ate because were were hosting manager came in and said ppl left without paying so we went to aye for the 15 they tried to make me pay for everyone whole had left the police were called I paid 15 ppl ans they put $ 60.00 one bills for gratuity were left I contacted everyone whole came they brung their rcpts come to find out I paid for more ppl thati didnt eat including me I was so pissed I didnt eat we left I will never eat at golden corral one nw expy in okc again and neither will alot of mytiny guest the service itself was horrible the staff was rude and even the police was one my side ando they owe me a refund of at least 7-8 buffets because thats about how many ppl who didnt eat and plate was paid for.

If you find anything else to complain about please keep it to yourself. You are way too dramatic. Poor baby, he gave your well done steak to someone else (well done steaks are awful anyways). The food was probably really good but your taste is just awful.

The food Tasted extremely cheap and tasteless it was not kept warm. The wall I had the pleasure of sitting by was covered in something very sticky. And the bathrooms were dreadful!
Grossest place ever ! The place is falling apart and was clearly hit hard by the downfall of the economy ..

They need to change their slogan to quantity NOT quality ...

I went to Golden Corral in Freehold, NJ on Sunday, October 12, 2014 with my family. I witness a very rude and obnoxious manager or owner at this restaurant. He came over to a family of four that he saw on video that they were stealing a few cookies. What was rude about him is that he came to their table to accuse them of stealing with attitude for them to leave his restaurant now when they had paid $13.50 per person to eat there. I understand that stealing is not acceptable, but the way you speak and approach the situation as an owner of a restaurant was beyond acceptable. It only escalated the situation and the person said I am not leaving until I eat my food because I paid for it. Instead, he could have said "Sir, can you step out of the dining room so that I can discuss what I saw? The food is not free it was paid for. He called the state police and then the police said you are accusing this man over some cookies? I told the owner that he did not have to go this far to fight over food when it was already paid for and it is a buffet (all you can eat). The staff was friendly, but the way this owner acted I would not ever return to this Golden Corral. Also, I saw they throw in utensils in buckets which is not environmental friendly and is unhealthy because you can catch any disease by using these utensils. For the money they charge they should have the staff set utensils wrapped in napkin set at each table. It so sad that the owner or manager did not get training of how to handle situations like this. We are all humans and everyone makes mistakes. This owner needs to go and get replaced for someone who can troubleshoot situations like this.

Golden Corral after eating at golden corral many times, I never will again

I hope this is the correct way to post a complaint. This is about the Golden Corral restaurant on 4145 College in Beaumont, Texas.

We ate at this restaurant tonight. A few minutes after we got there, a small church group arrived and one man parted from the group and sat by himself directly behind our table. The restaurant wasn't very busy at all, so this was strange. The man later proved to have some mental problems. He kept commenting on everything we ate (from the buffet), and if we didn't eat it all, he would outburst about poor countries and the Tsunami where they don't have anything to eat. At one point, he yelled at my nine year old sister for wasting food. "Is she really eating an ice cream after not eating all that food? Is she going to eat the rest of that? That's why the prices keep going up and up and up! Unbelievable!" What was really strange is that he sat there so meekly after these tirades and was even nice a couple of times. After telling a waitress and asking her to speak to him, we saw her go over and consult with some other wait staff, but then she just came over and wiped up the tables around the man. To my knowledge, nothing was ever said to him. After eating at Golden Corral many times, I never will again. Not after that experience. If he had been spoken to, it wouldn't have been so bad and I probably would want to come back. And guess what..right now I don't care at all about poor countries. Way to get your message across!

3/26 I placed an on-line #[protected] GC at Largo, MD to be delivered 3/29. 3/29 I called to verify order & was told the order had not been rec'd. So, I placed the order again using my app #[protected]. The mgr told me he would cancel the 1st if it showed up and call GC HQ so I could get reimbursed $233.16. I have not gotten reimbursed

cannot get credit for my visit. when i call the customer phone number, it hangs up. i have 2 receipts to get credit for. i got credit for 1, and they said to wait 4 hours to put in the other one. i did 1 yesterday ,and when i tired to put in the 2nd one, it said i have to wait 4 hours. same message as yesterday. please help. bad customer service!

I am not filing a complaints. I leave in Delaware and we use to have a Old Country buffet located hwy 58 Churchman Rd in New Castle DE across from Christiana Hospital. They Close during the Corona Pandemic and did not open back up. I was wondering if this would be a good location for a Golden Corral because we do not have one in New Castle DE.
