Dollar Tree lack of carts

Our Woodhaven Michigan store is always extremely busy and there are never enough carts for customers despite the staff trying there hardest to provide them. It is upsetting this time of year when customers are shopping for Christmas. I know that the Store Manager and District Manager have submitted requests for additional carts but have been denied. I have a hard time understanding why a company this large would accept the financial loss of business that is solely the result of not providing for the needs of customers. The employees and local management are clearly trying their hardest but are being shot down by corporate. Just sad!

Dollar Tree store manager

I went into the Atmore store with my niece and her kids about mid November. While we were in the store I heard the manager telling a child in the next aisle, "I should do like we did in the old days and give you a broom and make you sweep and clean up." My niece went to see who she (JENNIFER) were talking to, and realized it was her daughter. She approached her daughter, and she said she had tripped over a dog toy already on the floor. Jennifer said she should have picked it up, and yes she should have handed the child a broom. Needless to say my niece and Jennifer had words. Therefore, Jennifer feels it was necessarily to call the police after we left and have the police sent looking for her like she was a criminal for speaking her mind after a racist comment of that nature was made. The police informed us that Jennifer says my niece is not allowed in the store, that she will be trespassing if she is actually shopping in the ATMORE DOLLAR TREE. JENNIFER ALSO INFORMED OTHERS IN THE STORE THAT MY NIECE IS A TERRORIST. PLEASE address this matter.

Dollar Tree manager on duty

I was at Dollar Tree in Cross Lanes, WV and needed assistance with an item I was searching for. The cashier directed me towards the manager, Tanya, that was in the back of the store. When I finally found her she was chatting on her cellphone with what sounded like a boyfriend from the way she was talking. I waited patiently, while she clearly saw me standing there in need of assistance, until she hung up and acknowledged me. Once she did, I regretted ever wasting my time in that store. Tanya was rude and impatient with me as I asked questions to the point that I just walked away and left the store. I would not step foot back in there unless this so called "manager" was reprimanded for her unprofessional attitude. I would hope that Dollar Tree Corporation would want a better manager to represent their store. E

Dollar Tree tax exempt

I am a tax exempt buyer for a non-profit organization that purchases frequently from Dollar tree. Most of our purchases are at the store and I have a tax exempt card issued thru the state I use have no problems. Online however they will never exempt by taxes! I have sent in my tax exempt info, received an approval dated 2/19/16, yet I continue to be charged tax. When I called to ask why I was charged they said my approval had expired because it only last a year. As you can see, it should be current for a few more months (which I stated to them, and their answer was the same, it's expired, and needs annual renewal). Annual by my knowledge is yearly, yet this one expired in 8 months? They won't refund my taxes even with proof I have been approved and its been less than a year. Also, customer service said they can't help with tax exempt, so I asked for a supervisor, they responded "They don't like to take these call! Please tell me who I should get assistance from...customer service can't help and a supervisor can't/won't either. I was going to start ordering all my supplies online instead of in store, but I CAN NOT DO THIS PAYING TAX! It's frustrating to deal with this every time I order and get no where! No one can or will help and I end of paying tax every time! We are non-profit and can't and will not continue to order if someone can't help settle this situation. Bottom line, Dollar tree is over charging a non-profit organization with taxes. I'm sure that is not the image you want from customers so any help with resolving this would stop any negative reviews that will be posted from our non-profit religious organization.

Dollar Tree customer treatment from manager

I was checking out with a wonderful cashier and handed her a 100 dollar bill to pay for my many items that filled my cart. I was excited to decorate for christmas and get some random little household necessities. Another woman walked up, I assume the manager, and began talking to the cashier. The cashier had previously warned me she may or may not be able to break the 100. I was very much ready to change my form of pay if she unable to do so. However, as soon as she accepted my 100, the manager noticed and asked the cashier if she could break it. She said 'I think so'. Then, the manager stumbled on her words a bit and angeily looked at me and said they cannot break it. She repeated herself when I looked confused, heightening her tone in her voice. I politely told her the cashier thought she could. The till was still unopened. In fact during my entire experience, it was never opened. She rudely told me they could not break it and gave me a disgusted look. I was very much struck by her negative mood and decided that in no way I wanted to spend my money at this store with her running it in that way. I apologized to the cashier a few times knowing that she had just wasted her time and I truly felt bad. However, the way the manager dealt with me was uncalled for and quite ridiculous! She never once checked the till and also, never even apologized, spoke nicely, or asked for another form of payment.

Dollar Tree customer treatment by manager

My family and I shop in Dollar Tree often but that may change if something is not settled. This is the fourth time a situation such as this has occurred. My mother and two adult children were shopping at the Weston, WV store and the manager was standing at the head if an aisle waiting to get through with her arms full of merchandise. My mother stepped back and told her that she could go ahead since her arms were full. The manager refused to acknowledge her presence so she politely said it again but this time the manager barked at her to "go on!" Now, not only was this rude but it was uncalled for as well. This manager, Anita Droppleman, is a relative of my ex-husband and I believe she treats my family and I like this based on the fact that we are now divorced. I feel that she is very unprofessional and other patrons also made comments to us that a manager should behave that way to a customer. This is the culmination of several trips there with her acting inappropriately and I would like something done so we can continue to shop there and be treated like any other customers. Thank you.

Dollar Tree unethical behavior

I have a staff complaint about W. Broadway store in Columbia Missouri. One of the staff started yelling at me for no reason and accused me of shop lifting without even asking to see what was in my pocket. I am a lady of 46. I addressed him on how he yelled at me and took no responsibility for the fact that he was wrong. I went to the manager and told her what happened and asked if she would have the district manager contact me either by phone or email and I have heard nothing. It has been two weeks. I would love either an email or a phone call from someone to discuss this. Another staff member is also very rude. I asked her if she knew how to get in touch with the district manager. She said "I don't know" and laughed about it. I would like to go into more detail. Please call or email me. My email address is lori.[protected]@gmail.com and my phone number is [protected].

Dollar Tree store conditions

I have worked and shopped in retail stores for over 40 years and I have never seen a store in worse condition that my visit to your store in Westgate in Albany N.Y I never seen a store more disorganized and dirty then that . I would even go as far to question is anything in that store safe to buy . I have always been pleased when I shop your store in Glenmont N.Y It is my hope that you address this serious problem One more thing it would be great if you made your web site easier for customers to contact you . I know it is great to try to hear only positive comments . As one the people in the main office I worked for said if you have a unhappy customer they may never come back in their life time and that can be a long time

Dollar Tree customer complaint

I have been shopping at this location for a few month's. I usually stop off when i leave work. I love the Dollar Tree, never had any issues with this store, very friendly management and worker's . I have changed hrs at my work place so now i go in at a later time. I alway's get one cashier in the evening's, she never call's for back up and the line is crazy, she is so rude to all her worker's and manager's that are on duty. She seem's to have an issue with almost every customer that is on her line's. One customer asked her if she can use the phone to call a cab because her car broke down outside, she refussed to let her use it and told her to walk to the gas station. The manager that was on duty was called up, she apologized to the woman and let her use the telephone. This register person need's to have training in customer service or personality training, very rude to all customers and worker's unpleasant to shop in now .

Dollar Tree employee name jennifer

As on 8/26/2016 I arrive at store [protected] US Highway 19 S Thomasville, GA 31757. What happen. I have a son that has a brain injury. He can not have any type of energy drinks. He ask a cashier where they are in the store. I let the cashier know he can not have any type. One cashier was very nice and told him they were out. Jennifer comes from behind the counter and told him where they are. She told me when a customer ask a question she has to tell them.
Thanks to Jennifer I am now sitting here in the doctors office trying to get my son to under control. When he drinks these drinks it causes him to throw things. I do not feel safe coming to this Dollar Tree.
Jennifer said this is what she is train to do.
I would like for Jennifer to understand when a customer tells her a brain injury person can not have something respect the person in charge.
She was very uncaring. I will not be coming back to this store until she is gone.

How old is your son that he refuses to follow a doctor's orders? If the son is over the age of 18, then legally he is an adult and the employee is right to follow store policy. If the son is under 18, he is a minor and the employee should follow mother's policy. If he is under 18, then instead of blaming the employee, mom should be beating her kid's butt for not doing as he is told.

Dollar Tree unethical behaviour

The last 3 times I shopped there I reported a 2 liter soft drink bottle that had been opened and resealed to the manager, assistant manager and a cashier. Each time I had identified the brand, flavor, where it was including which shelf it was on, and that the bottle wasn't hard and could be squeezed to identify it. Each time I left the store, I waited to see if they would go to retrieve it because I was the only one in the check out line, or to page another employee to pull it from the shelf. Each time neither was done, and the same bottle was on the shelf where it was last time.

This isn't the first product that I had to watch out for when I was in shopping, among the other items was a 16 ounce candy bar that had been opened, sitting on the shelf and the back was taped shut so unless I was looking for tampered packaging I wouldn't have noticed it.

Other issues I had with this company at this location was the cashier allowing another customer in the check out line to verbally assault me over a minute then walk off. The same manager that did not take action to check on the soft drink that had been opened and resealed, didn't even make a comment when I spoke with him about the clerk. I had even filed a complaint on the corporate web site about the incident over the verbal assault, asking if they take steps to provide a safe environment for individuals with a mobility impairment or those that have young children with them that come in to shop. I got no written response and 2 weeks later had called and asked to be transferred to customer service, got a voice mail prompt and left a voice mail. Again I didn't even receive a response.

My conclusion is this company doesn't concern itself with customer experience to improve itself. Each time I shop there, I do a quick visual check before I enter the store to make sure that it looks safe to enter; and if I go in, I always have to double check what I buy to make sure it hasn't been tampered with.

Dollar Tree customer hazards!

August 6th, 2016 - My daughter and I went to Springfield and stopped in to pick up a few little gift items. I first noticed an end cap shelf leaning up against the existing shelves with the hooks pointed out. If someone stepped on the edge, it would hit them like a rake pole in the face. I thought it would be an isolated incident...not so. The store aisles were littered with boxes and toys all over the floor. Shelves were so messy that I felt very uncomfortable being there. We literally had to walk around things on the floor like a maze to get to the other end of the aisle. Checking out, my daughter didn't want to touch the credit card machine. She said there were crumbs stuck in the keys. The windows were also nasty. I asked the register girl if the store just moved in. She said they had been there around 3 years. I owned a business for 15 years and never in a million years would I have ever allowed any of my employees to represent me in such a way. I will never step foot in that store again and I pray that you take notice of this complaint. The customers are in high danger of a severe injury. We are your eyes where you do not see and a voice when your employees will not reveal. This store is rated 3.8 - This needs to be changed. Your presence is required in this store!

Dollar Tree rude cashier (# 2770695 suzy)

Went shopping @ the store 8/2/16 18:22. When I got up to the counter to check out, the counter was wet with something. I asked Suzy if there was something to wipe the mess away and she replied in a very snotty attitude that she had nothing to wipe counter with. (Okay, it would of ruined her day to walk over to where the paper towels were and use some to wipe the counter down?) Suzy then said, just hand them over and I will scan them...one item @ a time. I had (21) items. Paying with my credit card I grabbed the pen to answer questions that were being asked of me on the terminal that you scan your credit card through and she yelled @ me and told me that the pen doesn't write. I just looked @ her and said nothing. The entire time I was waiting for her to wrap-up my purchases, she was talking to another employee that was working there at the same time. She might as well of been on her cell phone for the time it took to check me out. When the transaction was over, Suzy didn't even say anything, but her co-worker spoke up and said have a good night.

Dollar Tree Stores have no room for rude Customer Service employees. I can tolerate a lot before I get to the point of writing this complaint, but Suzy was the "kicker". She has no people skills, no manners, no recognition of what her job duties are. Many people are looking for jobs in my area and would be more than pleasant to customers who shop @ the Dollar Tree. Suzy should be let go. I am assuming that she treats all of her shoppers with the same complete lack of politeness that is a huge part of her job.

I shop @ this store often and have never had this experience in 10 years.

I appreciate your time and understanding.
Sincerely,
Dorothy Dressler

Dollar Tree condition of store/lack of employees

There is a Dollar Tree located at 1500 Government St in Mobile, AL (I am not aware of the store number). This location is in horrible shape no matter what day of the week or time of day that I enter it. I work in the same shopping center, so myself and my coworker shop there often for snacks, headache medicine, drinks, etc.
Today, around 12:30pm, we entered the store to purchase drinks to have with our lunch. (this shopping center is very busy during the middle of the day) The shelves were very bare, floor was filthy, and the entire store was unorganized. When it came time to check out, there was only 1 cashier, and the line to check out was over halfway to the back of the store. (literally) A male customer (who was also on his lunch break) asked the cashier if she could call someone else up front to help. The cashier replied. "No, because the other cashier is in the back."
There is no customer service in this store at all. They take no pride in the appearance of their store. The drink coolers were even less than one-third full.

Dollar Tree customer service

Yesterday July 15th, 2016 I went to the dollar tree located on 4055 S Maryland Pkwy in Las Vegas NV 89119, only to be mistreated and embarrassed nonetheless by the manager. I went into the store to by a newspaper from Sunday and I checked two of then because I wanted the inserts inside it and being it was Friday I know it was unlikely there were going to be intact based on my experienced with the store at least. I took only one newspaper out of the two left and went to check other stuff. Little that I knew the manager whose name is Heather by the way was calling out to me and asking me if I took the coupons from the other newspaper, I said no and even clarified the other newspaper was not the brand that has the coupons but she stood there not moving and I offered her the newspaper I had on hand to check I only had a set of coupons. She took the newspaper as other people that were in the line were looking back to she scene she created. She checked the newspaper and said I sorry and left when she realized I didn't steal the coupons. I this point I think she did that because I am Hispanic and she just decided since I wasn't white I was capable of stealing or worth the embarrassment on her account. I felt so bad and so humiliated that I called the store to complain to the manager, I didn't want her to loose her job or anything but I wanted to prevent it to happen to others and to my surprise she picked up the phone and she was the manager. I just said to her I am the person you embarrassed by accusing of stealing and her answer to me was I said I was sorry. I said something else and she said I am not going to argue with you and hung up. Honestly I feel so bad that I am never stepping into that store again I was mistreated twice by the same person who by the way is the manager in person and over the phone. That store has many issues I had been in line for close to 40 minutes because there is always one register open even though there is always someone around but doesn't help, And still I stand there even just out of a 14 hours shift at work just like yesterday and don't say a work in fact this is the only time I have ever written a review but I just feel so mistreated and discriminated because of my race I had to say something. I don't want anything other than this person to not have the power to do it to someone else
