Bought LG oven May 21, 2021 with 5 year-extended warranty from BestBuy. Sale # [protected] Service Request # [protected]. Amount paid for 4 electrical appliances $4186.92. Oven cooking-top surfaces always look dirty no matter how to clean with the cleaning solvents on the market. Oven clock and left-front cooking top suddenly stopped working. Filed complained in person on Oct. 31, 2023. Repair technician came 3 times, could not save the problems. The last visit was on last Wednesday, Jan.10, 2024. After 2 and half hours, the technician claimed that the part he brought was broken, had to come back again. What a joke! Worst of all, today, My wife tried to use the right cooking top, faced a very big electrical circuit shock and the whole machine became totally dead. I am obliged to unplug the machine to avoid a bigger disaster. From now on, for our safety reason, we are scared to use this machine again. We will use this machine again only if BestBuy can assure there will not be any DANGER ISSUE. As it is, we end up without any oven to use at home. Looking forward to have a proper solution from BestBuy asap. Thanks.

The local technician had come to our homes 3 times during the past 3 months, not only could not solve our problems , but made it worse. Now our oven is totally dead. According to the bad experience happened yesterday, my wife and I have no more confidence to use the same range. We are afraid the machine is going to explode. I believe the defect is more related to the electrical circuit problems and can be very dangerous if we keep using it. Thus, for our safety reason, I decline your suggestion of having the particular oven to be repaired. The BestBuy is being bound to be responsible if something happens to us.

If you've decided you'd rather have the unit replaced without another service call, that's absolutely your prerogative. Unfortunately, without determining the unit to be unrepairable, warranty won't cover the cost.

By initiating a service call, you may have the unit found to be unrepairable and, thus, replaced. At the very least, the current unit will be serviced and guaranteed to be fully functional. If you then choose to not keep the unit, you could resell it to help pay for the replacement.

Having a product not work as it should is frustrating. Additional warranty coverage doesn't change that but assures you that the unit can be brought back to working status without the unexpected costs of servicing.

Whereas the range has just become inoperable, contact your local Best Buy to file a new claim. A service technician will be dispatched to ascertain the problem.

Please, let us know if that doesn't completely resolve any of your concerns.
