I recently applied for a B of A credit card. The application process was very easy, but setting up options for this card — notifications of charges, autopay, and so on — was horrendous.
Using the card was similarly horrendous from the start — purchases questioned, a call to my phone in which the caller (B of A) was not identified, and so on and so on.
And every time I've called B of A, I'm told I'm a "preferred client" (or something like that), yet I've wasted lots of time on the phone with B of A.
By contrast, I've had a Capital One card for years, used it with never any problems.
Bottom line: I will be keeping this card (since cancelling it will reduce my credit rating), but never using it. If you need a new credit card, I strongly recommend against anything from B of A.
