ADT Security Services ADT security services

Predatory practice to senior citizens. When i moved back to FL and bought a house ADT shows up with a bunch of fast talking individuals . AARP should post a warning about them. Bait and switch they try to get you for large amounts at your closing. The 4 salespeople at my closing pressured me into signing a contract. they are in bed with the builders. Buyers do not sign anything with ADT at your closing. Damn near impossible to get out of the contract without buying it out.

Immediately contact ADT’s customer service or corporate office to file a formal complaint about the high-pressure sales tactics used during your closing. Mention that you felt coerced into signing the contract and demand options for terminating the contract without paying the buyout fee. If they refuse to resolve the issue, escalate by filing a complaint with consumer protection agencies, the Better Business Bureau, and AARP. Keep all documentation of the incident for potential legal action if necessary.

I canceled my ADT monitoring service months ago. For the past few weeks I have been getting FALSE alarms, mostly in the early AM. I am house-bound, can't drive, am 76 yo and 100% disabled. ADT Security Services Two months of not working properly and beeping at us

Our panel installed about 3 years ago has been worked on a couple of times for different issues re. not working properly.

Inthe last 2 months it has been beeping on and off and I had no idea where the beeping was coming from... it was our panel. It was having issues connecting to our working order internet.

Last night after a 25 minute wait to be connected with ADT tech support, your agent spent over an hour with me to try and rectify it to no avail, We then tried everything to stop the beeping... ono avail. We then located the unit plugged into our overhead outlet by our garage door unit! I am 76 on a doggone ladder to unplug it!

We are very disgusted with your so called customer service wait time, and we will have to wait at least 8 days for someone to come out and fix this!

Totally unacceptable. We were told that we would get a call this morning concerning this issue... no call... I called tech support and was promised a 5 minute wait which turned into 20 minutes and no help from whomever answered... still an 8 day wait! I must ask you, how would you like to have this happen in your home?

ADT Security Services My request was that the quotation must be cheaper to save costs and the original quote the quotation amount should be cheaper as

1. Every time with load shedding the alarm went off, and with load shedding, the alarm could not be activated.

2. To solve this problem a quote was given to install a relay switch and stronger batteries to solve the problem mentioned

3. The original quotation was more or less R3467. This amount was too expensive for me as a pensioner and I hestitated to do it or to cancell the services of ADT. But the problem had to be solved. Because my children invited me for a holiday in Cape Town, and the alarm must be repaired.

4. Before my departure I visited the office and asked the lady that the qoautation must be cheaper, and they must leave the beam to save costs. I also asked ta cheaper amount on the qoute and then to pay this cheaper amount in two installments.

5. After this installation, this very same problem continue, there is no relief, the batteries is too weak to load the system during load shedding and the relay switch is not there to assist the system.

6. I do not have any knowledge of technology and the system, but trusted the services and technician of ADT. I also believed that they could solve the problem

7. The so - called installation of 21/12/23 was no answer to the problem I have experienced. The technician work less than 2 hours, according to the witness of the people who stayed in my house.

6. However, The problem was not solved. The Switch and batteries are of no help, when the load shedding starts, it goes off, The batteries are too weak to prevent it.

7. My complaint is anolut the account I received for this installation. The make the quote equal to nearly R3500. They loaded extra amount on the work being done. It was not cheaper as I had requested.

8 I visted the office, I wrote a letter and an and e mail about this to ADT Head office. They did not answer me kept on sending me the original amount of The work being done,

9. I have paid R2000 already and this amount is not even deducted, The amount of R2 800, supposed to be corrected, is ignored, due to the system of ADT that is updated every 5 years.

Can you help me to lay the correct amiount of R2800 and not the worng one of R3500. It was my request from the beginning to pay less. I suffer financially and that was the reason of cancellation the service of ADT and the other reason is that my problems with the alarm was not solved.

Please assist me.

ADT Security Services Google nest camera (outdoor) installation

On March 6, 2024, an outdoor security camera was installed at my home. The camera cord leading from the outside to the inside wall of the home was wired and stapled in a manner seemingly with no regard or respect for my home. The cord was stapled to the wall in a zig zag fashion (vertical/horizonal), returning to vertical position with stapling ending approximately 27 inches from floor. The cord from this point dangled loosely from the wall, dragging along the floor down to the plug-in with the power strip. Note, the installer performed this task without moving the television or tv stand; he basically worked around it. I had made myself available to this tech regarding moving furniture if need be. He was aware of this, as I had moved an accent table in the front room for him. This mishap in the master bedroom could have been avoided had he asked for help.

Claimed loss: Zero-dollar amount incurred. The aesthetic in appearance is awful and I would like for an installer to come to my home and redo the placement of the cord.

Desired outcome: Hopefully, the cord will be stapled down the wall vertically until it meets with the base board and stapled in place. This will undoubtably result in a professional and more unison appearance, as opposed to zig zag.

I called Adt customer service line multiple times to cancel my account. Each time I said I needed to cancel my account. They hung up on me. Hence the reason I had to call multiple times. And then use their chat function from their website. I was told I needed to call. I explained my frustration of being hung up on multiple times and the over one hour wait...

ADT Security Services Incorrect security product misinformed and old product still being charged for

Prior to December 2023, I had Blue by ADT for 3 years with 3 years contract and was charged less than $40.00. There was a new promo that was going on I had spoke with a gentleman who helped me, he told me that told service with equipment was going to be around the same amount or close to it. As I told him I am on a budget and cannot afford anything expensive. (everything should be recorded on you guys end). Then of course I signed the contract as he was talking did not realized and read it through as I should have. In January, when I notice 2 different payment came out of account, I called and requested to speak with manager, no one ever called me back to explained the situation of how I was misinformed when the total bill included equipment was going to be $40 or close to it. never got a call. Same thing in February, I called ADT, request, never got a call. now March is here and have not gotten a call or this problem fix as I was misinform of the new billing situation. I would like for this to get resolve. As this was happening I was still being charge BluebyADT when I called and canceled that back in December and called in January. As of yet I have not received a returned label to return the equipment. I am unhappy with the lack of service of getting an email, or call, even the return label for the equipment and want all of this to be resolve.

Desired outcome: I want what promise , that is the reason why I signed up for the new ADT program or else I could have stood with Blue by ADT by rep states that was gone.

ADT Security Services ADT service

I’m writing this in hopes that someone sees this.

I don’t know what else to do.

Hopefully someone had information or advice on what actions I should take.

On April 2023, I got ADT + services for my home. I was put on a contract with $24.28 automatic payments for equipment installments and $35.85 for monitoring system.

On July 2023 I received a phone call stating they were missing payments for my equipment. Payments “rejected”.

Same card on file for both payments. $35.85 taken out but not the $24.28 for my equipment. Not sure how or why if it was the same card. They didn’t know how to answer that. They told me I had a past due balance. I paid $71.70 and was told that with this AND a credit for my monitoring, I would be okay.

On August 11th, 2023 , I received a fraud alert from my bank, stating the ADT try to take out a total un authorized amount of $777.09. When I called ADT, they stated it was for missed payments. Even though I made the payments. I paid an extra $84.41 and was told I would no longer be eligible for their monthly and installment plan so they would have to manually put in a monthly payment in order for my equipment to be taken out of my account. I agreed to a total of $24.28 just like I was already being taken out. The representative that I spoke to you told me that after this everything would be OK.

The following month I received an email stating that I had a past due balance of $777.09. This is the balance at the beginning of the plan, which was back in April. I had already paid fees to bring everything up-to-date so it was no longer this amount. I called ADT back was on hold for at least two hours, and then spoke to another account manager who told me that what we could do in order for me to stop receiving. Those emails was to start paying larger amounts of installments. I agreed to $30 being taken out on every 15th of the month and $30 been taken out on every 30th of the month.. this would be $60 in total for the equipment not including the $35 I was being taken out for monitoring. On January 2024 I received a letter in the mail stating that they were going to shut off my service because I had an unpaid balance of $777.09.

Since the month of January up until today, I have spoken to ADT twice a week every week. I have been on the phone with them for more than two hours out a time transfer to various different account specialist, given various different information and different case numbers. Every single one of them failed to tell me that I had a deadline of when I had to pay the equipment.

The total at the beginning was $777.09 and up until yesterday I had a remaining balance of $300. According to ADT my remaining balance was not $300 but the unpaid invoice of $777.09

Today I woke up to an outstanding bill of $1000.

They have stated that I have not paid them even though I have emailed them all of my bank statements to show all of the payments that I have been making monthly because I was promised and installment plan.

Today I was on the phone with them from 1 PM to 4 o’clock. Was transferred over six different times to the wrong department. Spoke to four different account managers.

They have all told me that there is nothing I can do.

They state that it does not matter that I was paying them every month because they are still asking for the $777 plus a $600 fee.

They state that if I do not pay them, they will send me to collections, and it will impact my credit score.

I even asked if they wanted the equipment and to keep my money that I had paid them and they refused.

I’m usually not the type to talk about personal situations like this, but I honestly am hitting a roadblock and I don’t know what to do.

I would like some advice, or maybe if this can be reposted or shared.

After looking at all of my call logs, I have called ADT from the month of July 2023 to the month of March 1,2024 87 times.

I have three different case numbers. One different confirmation number.

Been given three different phone numbers that were supposed to be directed to people that can help me, but every time I called them it was always the wrong number.

I have saved every single bank statement.

I trusted ADT as a loyal customer to be able to help me with their customer service and to be able to help me with the situation and they have not.

My Complaint: I canceled my services with ADT in April over the phone a gentle said it has to be 30 days out. I said okay so May. I then said my least will be up on June 30th and we will be moving in with my daughter at the 171st Street in Washington address above. The closing of our home in Texas will take place on July 13, 2023 my husband will receive the keys to the home in Texas July 26, 2023. My husband stated that he does not want ADT and there is already a Ring Doorbell Camera at the new home. I contacted ADT and said do not send the system my husband does not want it and we will not close on our home. I called ADT for two weeks straight everyday on this account number #00136790 for $279.24 and no one could help me. I was calling during all this my oldest sister loss her battle to cancer. We did not have a phone number to contact sellers to refuse box. I received an text on June 8th from ADT saying your order was just delivered. The previous owners accepted the ADT delivery. My husband moved in saw the box and called me in Washington State and said this ADT box is here and it needs to be sent back. I said okay. I will be there to see our new home in August-September to send back. We took the box to FedEX Office at 909 E Interstate 30 Rockwall, TX 75087 Phone Number 241.771.3111 I paid with my Debit Card for the Box to be returned to ADT in Pennsylvania, we did receive a Tracking number However, through the move it was missed placed. I need help. The box was never opened and we returned to sender. I have had the worst experience with ADT customer in my life. The dishonest man that said the Ring and door alarms would be free and they were not and I said I will not be there until October and he still them anyways. The customer service in trying to call them everyday to stop this and no one would help me. Now I am getting Service Interruption Bills from a ADT from a system I never had. Please help me once again. I do not work and have no income coming and my husband is 100% disabled. Please help me. this box was returned.

Desired outcome: I would like for every billing letters to be stopped. To make sure that everything is canceled between ADT and I like I did back in April 2023. Please for ADT and I be done with everything please.

I want to file discrimination on the last tech that came to my house he talk to me like I was a dog yelling at me telling me he was not gonna service me or fix the damage the other tech did said ADT would have to send someone down and said he was not gonna replace the camera that not working after couple days ago of being installed first time customer my smoke sensor not working my house bout caught on fire that didn’t notify me

Or the protectors my hub two cameras not working the wiring all on my wall bailed up are in reach for my children to grab the wire and nails get serious hurt

ADT Security Services My Esuite and online account logins

I have called numerous times and I still have not received any resolution about my issues.

I have total of 8 accounts and I been a customer for a long time. Your customer service is ridiculous about helping with my issues.

All I been trying to do is get all my accounts in one Esuite login and everyone keeps saying that someone will be calling me or all the accounts will be linked to one Esuite, but it never happens and I never get a call back.

It has become a nightmare to pick up the phone and waste hours explaining the issue over and over to different reps.

I need someone to contact me asap and resolve my issues.

ADT Security Services Security and customer service

For a few weeks I have been trying to get and issue resolved with no help. One of the people I talked to said I needed a battery. It arrived today I called to get help getting it in because I am elderly. Before I went back to the control panel I asked her if I needed a screwdriver with no answer from her. My control panel is now hanging without the new battery in. She informed me to just call an electrician I asked her to transfer to someone who knew what they were talking about. She transferred me back into a quve to wait again. I need a manager.

ADT Security Services The monthly overcharge

I signed a three-year contract with adt in 2021, which clearly states that video surveillance and other services, the monthly fee is 59.99 dollars, but in fact they do not provide the above services; I made many phone calls to communicate, at first they said they could refund, and later they said they did not overcharge the fee, and after many unsuccessful communications, I had to choose to complain.

ADT Security Services Alarm system failure

October 12, a burglar smashed the glass in the front door of our business at 3am. He enters and walked around in our store looking for stuff to steal. The alarm NEVER went off. Not from the broken glass or the motion. The tech who came out that day said “it just happens sometimes “.

Instead of letting me out of my contract, they tried to sell me more equipment . Absolute joke of a company. Total crooks, I wouldn’t Reccomend them to my worst enemy . I can only cancel by paying the contract balance .
