Closed system lost coolant. Didn't last 3 years. I bought two so just waiting on the next one to die now. I had read on the Whirlpool site that some of these systems had warranties of a longer period than the general warranty so that's why I called. I wasn't offered any warranty coverage though. I was offered a guaranteed repair that would've cost more than half of what I paid for the refrigerator. Then I was given the option of speaking to a department that might offer discounts on a new item or even sell me a new item at a discount so I transferred over. After waiting awhile I hit the button for a call back. 30 minutes later I get a call and when I pick up and say hello I just get a message that says "sorry we missed you". Well they didn't miss me. They just didn't help me. Do I start all over with another phone call that probably won't give me a satisfactory ending or just lock in my opinion of Whirlpool and move on? Refrigerator is like new and barely used at a weekend home. The ice maker quit after the first year and then it started "gurgling" which seems to be a sign of low coolant. Now at three years old it won't freeze anything.
Desired outcome: I guess I would just like you to stand behind this product and offer repair, replacement or at least a serious concession toward a replacement.
