Whirlpool electric range top
We recently bought (08/15/22) a Whirlpool electric range top. We discovered it has a built in automatic feature, that cannot be turned of, which lowers the power when the coils reach a certain temperature. For example, if you desire to sear meat thoroughly you cannot do so because once the pan reaches a certain temperature the coils automatically cool down. As the cook you do not have the ability to maintain the high heat you desire! That is intolerable and ridiculous!
I called the company and the representative said that it was a new feature that is built in to all of their electric range tops to prevent overheating. Well, thanks but no thanks
What gripes me the most is that nowhere in their information that is given is there any mention of this stupid feature.
Desired outcome: Everyone who purchased this product should get a full refund and Whirlpool should recall all of them.

I have been without a working refrigerator since the first part of July. Kitchenaide service has sent a technician out from Kens Appliance 3 different times since then, and nothing has been fixed yet. I called Kitchenaide again and they said they could send technician out again 8/24/22. I told them that was unacceptable to keep doing the same thing with no results. The technician or Kitchenaide tech services which he calls do not seem to know what the problem is. At this point, it appears that a buyout at this point is the best solution. My wife does not intend to continue to go without a refrigerator which could then drag on into September.

JennAir appliance control boards
We have recurring problems with JennAir appliance control board failures. We reported this to JennAir Customer Service without resolution. The JennAir representatives on the calls were courteous and polite. The problem is with the parent company, Whirpool itself. The corporation does not allow or provide any flexibility to its policies to deal with customers' problems and needs and its component reliability problems. The control board on the Jenn Air dual fuel range recently failed six years after Closing on a new home, the warranty is apparently 5 years. Though the range has minimal usage and is well cared for, the control board failed. We paid a very high premium to the Builder for what we thought were premium Jenn Air appliances. There have been 4 other control board failures on our other JennAir appliances including the wall oven and microwave during the warranty period. Clearly, there is a reliability issue with the JennAir control boards. Wow 5 failures in about 5 years! Whirpool has also failed in its customer service. We’re stuck with a $1200 bill to replace the board. Our concern is also that the boards will continue to fail and need replacement No more JennAir or Whirpool appliances for us! Hard lesson to learn about Whirpool.
Whirlpool 25.1 CU Side by Side refrigerator
I purchased a new Whirlpool 25.1 CU large Side-by-Side refrigerator (Model WRS 315 SNHM 06) from Costco online on Dec 12, 2021 with $1332.80. Since then the refrigerator has caused me nothing but headache. It first broke down in May 2022, less than 6 months into operation. By the time I could a technician look at it, it was a week or so into dysfunction. The technician came in a said that it has defrost issue and these models are known for it as they are receiving similar complaints from many customers who have the same model. Since then I have called the service company 6 times and there has been no solution. They have replaced a harness (July 21), made adjustments to the sensor housing/clamp (June 3, June 21), and other minor things to no avail. I have had to turn it down for hours, let it defrost, clean up the mess, and reload again 6 times already. Every time I load stuff in it I end up with rotten food and drinks. I check the operation of the refrigerator on a daily basis as I have to prepare for another food dump and ‘manual defrost’ as soon as I start getting the first signs. It has been happening almost every 2 weeks regularly since May 2022. Right now I am waiting for another service visit from the technician and preparing to dump more food, unload, shut down, defrost, wait 24 hours, reload and clean up.
I have contacted Whirlpool customer service and they have not offered any solution. They have referred to the warranty. They have also sent me a letter asking me to buy extended warranty. They have no solution to the problem and have stopped replying to my request for assistance with the product. The customer service number is designed not to connect to any human individual and email response is optional, it seems. Right now I have the following problems:
I have a non-functional or intermittently functional refrigerator
I feel that the entire amount spent on the refrigerator was an absolute waste
I cannot return the product as neither Costco nor Whirlpool will accept it
I cannot buy dairy product and cannot be certain if any food I store in the refrigerator will be fresh and edible the following day
This refrigerator problem is causing me financial loss, food loss, loss of time and energy and effort every time I have to shut down, defrost, unload, clean up and, reload
The Whirlpool company and service company have no solution to the problem
Replacing parts and fiddling with the ties, clamps have not been successful
Technicians and industry experts are aware that the model is faulty and there is no solution to the problem
Constant frustration and stress about storing food and dealing with making appointments and preparing for repair visits that result in more work for me

Loud operating noise
I needed a new refrigerator. I went my local Lowes and purchase refrigerator Model # WRS571CIHZ04, serial # HRB1505017. The next morning when we discovered a pool of water on the floor under the front doors. The doors were not sealing properly causing condensation to form. Lowes service techs tried to adjust the doors to seal properly, but they could not repair it. Lowes agreed to replace it. On 5/27/2022 Lowes delivered a new replacement refrigerator, model # WRS571CIHZ04, serial # HRB1818583. I want to make a note here. The first refrigerator was in my home for 16 days and there were no noise issues with it. The doors would not seal properly was the problem, no problems with noise at all. It is important to note this, as the second refrigerator has noise issues and I was able to compare this new refrigerator sounds to the first one with no sound issues. A new replacement refrigerator was delivered and. Immediately after they left the refrigerator motors kicked on and it started making a very loud sound while it was running. I have a sound meter app on my phone and when tested it was showing an average noise level of 57 dB when it is running. I complained and a service tech came out and ordered parts and later replaced a fan motor he said was defective. After he left the same loud noise was there. I complained again and another tech came out. I asked him if he had a sound meter and the sound level specifications for this model. He told me, No and that Whirlpool does not give them sound meters or the sound level specifications. He said it sounded normal to him. I asked what is normal. Without a sound meter and sound specifications how you say this is normal? I complained again and Whirlpool has refused to test the sound level, has refused to give me the sound specifications for my refrigerator. Has refused to acknowledged there is a sound problem, has refused to answer my many questions and has refused to offer a remedy to my complaint.
Desired outcome: Either test and repair, or replace, or give full refund.

Don’t buy a Whirlpool appliance! Sept. 2021, I bought an electric cook stove with an extended warranty. On July 4th while running the self cleaning cycle it popped and threw sparks. I filed a claim with Whirlpool right after it happened. I was finally told today that they can’t find anyone to come service it in my area. I called Lowes store manger and she told me they couldn’t help me. That they don’t service anything either.! So I guess the extended warranty I bought was no good either since they can’t find anyone to service it.
Desired outcome: I think Whirlpool needs to refund me the price before any lowes promotions.I should get the amount for the cord

The fridge is not working after 2 weeks. They have sent the technician 3 times to repair it and have said that it was repaired but it's broken again after 2 weeks. Now dealing with them has been a full time job for the past 2 months to the extend that I had to take some time off from work and have trouble keeping up with my regular work schedule. I got told by the technician that it happens to ALL their customers and you can find many journalistic reports about this issue with Whirlpool just with a few clicks on Google. It is absolutely no wonder that this company stock price is in the downfall. The fridge IS NOT working after 2 MONTHS of being delivered. No retribution was offered except for $100 credit for the food losses (that would have amount to over $500 for me but also that check was supposed to be sent by mail a month ago but never came anyways so that all amount to more lies from Whirlpool) Both Whirlpool and Breault et Martineau companies are denying responsibilities to such extend that it should be seriously be investigated as fraud. I want a fridge that works and I want to move on with my life schedule without having to add a 3-4 hours time a week to try to fix things with Whirlpool, and I think a retribution would be most necessary as I have purchased a new fridge for the price of a new fridge and now I have a fridge that has been refurbished once and that will (apparently) be refurbished another time is the hopes of making it work so that means by definition that I got a refurbished fridge for the price of a new one ($2400 paid v.s. $600 for an average refurbished fridge on the market)
Desired outcome: A fridge that works and retribution for the time loss, food loss and having purchased a refurbished fridge for the price of a new one.

I was told by one of your CSR's that they were sending me a debit card. However, never been received. I use informed delivery and I can see my mail before its here. Your CSR adv me to call Bank of America to see if they sent it out. nope they have NOTHING with my name. Not sure who to contact at this time. In order for me to get a working refrig, the place I moved into reimbursed me for what I paid and I went and got a new refrigerator. This has actually been going on since May. Never got the debit card nor the original repaired as they were waiting on a compressor. I have emailed the corporate office and the CEO. Still no response.

Purchased this ac through Home Depot July 17th, 2022, delivered Tuesday July 19th, 2022. Paid $150.00 to have it replace and existing AC located just over the stairs on the 2nd story of my home.
After it was installed attempted to open the remote to install batteries. The remote would not open. I brought it back to Home Depot, they were also not able to open the remote. We all feel that the plastic was sealed all the way around.
Opened 1st claim with your "AC customer service" sent all of the documentation and received my 1st claim # 452627 was assured a follow up in 2 to 3 business days no one contacted me. I called numerous times and was given a generic response that they have no contact with the department but forward my email. After 2 weeks of doing this, I called whirlpool directly and the woman from North Carolina contacted the customer service department.
Speaking to Gail at the CS department she informed me that she could not located the initial claim number, so it has started all over again. New claim # is 460229.
I was told that it would be about 2 weeks before a new remote will be deliver, I have no faith in their ability to send the replacement.
I am in a bad place it will cost me $150.00 to have the ac removed and returned so that I can buy a different AC unit and then another $150.00 to have it installed for a total of 3 handyman call of $450.00
just feel that I have wasted $777,27 for a product that I cannot use.
I wish your company stood behind your products. Very disappointed with your customer service and the money I am out.

I bought this Whirlpool fridge on 4/6/2022 for a kitchen remodel for my mom. It wasn’t used until June of 2022 and was dead by 7/4/2022! My mother is disabled and diabetic and needs a fridge for her insulin. I called to get service and couldn’t even get anyone to come out until 7/15. He ran in, opened the door, said he knew what the problem was and told me he had to order a part. There has been no follow up from anyone and I have had to call Whirlpool 5 different times to find out what’s going on. I get different stories from different reps and nobody can tell me how long she will be out of a fridge. Why is this OK? No fridge for a month so far and no timeline for repairs! It’s unconscionable that they would have no care for someone who needs a refrigerator for life saving medications! I don’t even know if I can trust the repair if it ever happens. I will NEVER buy Whirlpool again.

On May 1, 2022, I purchased a Whirlpool washer. The washer stopped draining on June 16, 2022. The washer was serviced on 6/22/2022 for the hose. On 6/23/2022 the washer stopped working and Whirlpool scheduled service for 06/24/2022. The service technician replaced the hose on 6/24/2022. On July 14, the washer again stopped draining, a service appointment was scheduled for 7/21/22 between 8 am to 4 pm, however upon an email from the third party the appointment was rescheduled from 4 pm to 7 pm. I spoke to the company that does Whirlpool repairs and was advised that Whirlpool cannot schedule an appointment time. Again I spoke to Whirlpool and was advised that the earliest scheduled appointment would be August 8, 2022. My question is why are we going through Whirlpool? As of today (7/23/2022)

Purchased 11/27/2021 at Lowes. They ordered and held the item for me, until 2/11/2022. Item delivered to my garage because kitchen wasn’t complete. March 5th we unboxed and installed the refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and cooktop. Within 2 weeks of install I went to use the back burner of the cooktop. It didn’t work. Service call and a replacement 2 parts were installed (new burner under glass and a new on/off switch. Problem solved. Then my refrigerator starting getting warm…..service call made. (End of May) technician came out ran some diagnostics and ordered a harness. Waited for the part that was on nation wide back order. Took over two weeks to get part in and they called to install. In the mean time I called Whirlpool twice…..customer service says must wait for parts for 21 business days nothing else they can do, they also state that Covid is reason for part shortage. Second call spoke to a manager stating this is unexceptable. I have a state licensed daycare in my home and I must have refrigerator and freezer and specific temperature. They sent me $75 gift card to rent a refrigerator (not possible). Fast forward 2-3 weeks and refrigerator is doing the exact same thing. Service call, technician comes calls whirlpool goes through diagnostic with them. Order ANOTHER harness and adding a heating element for defrost mode that isn’t working. Why is a part that was just replaced being replaced? No answer. Of course back ordered parts again. That was July 6th. Within a week of service call I start to loose the freezer now too because of the amount of frost building in freezer, I call again and ask for a service call to defrost the freezer side while I wait for part for refrigerator side. Rude customer service rep. Basically laughs at me and says they won’t pay for a service call to “only” defrost the appliance. Your kidding me right? Nope I’m to lose freezer food now too? I guess I am because no service call was granted. I said whirlpool not backing their product, she’s states they are and warranty is to repair not replace. This appliance is now in service 4mths with two service calls for the same problem. She also states that they can’t control the nation wide shortage of parts. I said I understand that but stand behind your product and remove the lemon from my kitchen and replace it with a working one. This is out of everyone’s control when you can’t get parts but you have built refrigerators that are in working order and won’t supply a new one. Still waiting on replacement parts (7/26/2022) no refrigerator that works and whirlpool doesn’t care one bit. We just had a two week heat wave and I’m to just keep buying ice etc to try to feed my daycare and my family? This is so unexceptable. Something must be able to be done. A little over a week ago 7/16/2022 my micro/oven stopped working. I called Whirlpool to see what the warranties were. They looked up the serial number and said I purchased this in 2020. I knew this was impossible (I didn't a remodel in 202) and looked up my Lowes receipt. It was in fact in May 2021 (not installed till July due to remodel). My wifi never worked on it buy that didn't bother me since I felt it pointless to use. Whirlpool then tried to convince me to purchase a monthly warranty plan and would then send out a technician. This upset me knowing that this item was showing purchased in 2020 told me that I was sent a repackaged or refurbished item. My repair man replaced the thermal fuse and after further inspection confirmed that I was accurate on receiving a used product. Due to where on the outside and the condition of the wrapping around the wires.

Right to Repair and lack of Technical Support
The bearings on my Hotpoint washing machine are very squeaky, so I would like to see if it is possible, for a skilled person, to be able to strip and replace the bearings.
I do not want to pay for an engineer to come and do what I am more than competent and able to do.
I called Whirlpool to discuss this, and my call was "cut off" by one of your staff because she could not, or would not, put me through to a technical department, with whom I could discuss this.
All she wanted, as did the first person, was to book an engineers visit.
I have a right to repair my goods, or at least attempt a repair and all I want to know is if it is possible.
If it is a sealed unit, then it may not be possible, but it would be good to find out before I open the machine.
It is a RPD 10657 J UK model and does not have an extended warranty. If it did, I would use it.
Desired outcome: An answer from a technically minded person would be helpful.
KitchenAid Gas Cooktop- KCGS550ESS
Ordered a KitchenAid Gas Cooktop 2/2021, Received product 2/2022. Have tried for 6 mos to get the cooktop replaced so that I can see the dial settings and Whirlpool keeps telling me that is was a change in the product from the time that it was ordered until I received it. This is a huge danger when you can see the setting of where you have a gas cooktop set. It is also impossible to clean the cooktop, it does nothing but smear, I have tried stainless cleaner for gas cooktops and that doesn't even work. The picture of my cooktop on their website is NOTHING like what I looks like!
It is truly amazing that this company will not do a thing about correcting this issue and keep telling me that this is the way it will be. I purchased $11,000 of new appliances from them and this is the customer service that they provide! These will be the last appliances that I will ever purchase from Whirlpool and will NOT recommend their products to anyone who is looking to purchase them.

We bought this appliance at Home Depot in January of 2019. $800.00 installed. Since then, whirlpool replaced the electronic panel under warranty. Then in October of 2021 the glides for the top shelf disintegrated and we paid $300.00 to replace that part. And today we learn that there is an "O" ring from the drain that is leaking and dumping about a gallon of water on the floor with every load. We are told that the repair would cost us $500.00, which I am NOT going to spend.
I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING MADE BY WHIRLPOOL AGAIN. I WILL MAKE SURE THAT EVERYONE I KNOW LEARNS OF THIS FIASCO.
