I am a Walmart+ customer who pays for grocery delivery because I am a disabled senior citizen with chronic pain and mobility limitations. This complaint concerns an order delivered August 10, 2026, from Walmart Store #1261 in Fayetteville, NC.
While unpacking, I found hamburger buns packed inside a laundry basket I purchased. A roast was on the bottom, followed by the buns, a 10-pound bag of potatoes directly on top of them, and three 1-pound packages of hamburger meat on top. The buns were crushed and unusable.
The chicken was refrigerated after delivery. On August 11, I removed it from the Walmart grocery bags and discovered significant discoloration. I photographed it and would not risk eating it.
I also ordered a 50-count box of Dulcolax for $9.98 specifically because the larger quantity cost less per tablet. Walmart substituted two 25-count boxes at $5.98 each, charging $11.96 for the same 50 tablets.
Resolving these problems required three calls to Customer Care. I received conflicting instructions: first I was told to return the items; later I was told to keep them because refunds would be issued. When no refund confirmation arrived, I resubmitted the returns, obtained barcodes, and went to the store on August 13.
I returned the chicken and buns and purchased replacements myself. Walmart refunded my other returns but refused to refund these two because its system showed they had already been refunded. I have not received those refunds. Walmart now has both returned products.
I then received an email from Customer Care asking for the affected item names and quantities. I replied with the requested information, photographs and receipt, only to receive an automatic response stating that the email address is not monitored.
I request my outstanding $15.19 plus applicable tax, a goodwill gift card for the considerable time and inconvenience, and improved quality control for Walmart+ grocery selection and packing.

Desired outcome: Refund $15.19 plus tax and provide a goodwill gift card for the time and inconvenience. Improve Walmart+ grocery quality control and packing. Consider mystery shoppers to evaluate how delivery orders are selected and packed.
