Walgreens review: Pharmacy

12/30/21-Talked to pharmacy about my husbands prescription for pain meds because he has Pancreatic Cancer and was told insurance wouldn't cover it till tomorrow 12/31/21, but can use a discount drug card and pay $42. Called yesterday 12/29/21 and was told insurance wouldn't cover it until today 12/30/21. I asked what if I paid cash for it? She said it will be $151. The lady on the phone asked who told me that and I don't remember her name, but whoever answered the phone. I understand insurance is insurance, but why wasn't I offered the $42 cash price yesterday and why was I told insurance will cover today 12/30/21 to be told they won't cover until tomorrow 12/31/21 today?

I have been using Walgreens for a long time and the last few times I have been there I can't stand walking in the door, because I don't know what mess is going to occur and I am stressed enough with this illness going on.
