I drove from DC TO THE Location in Belair MD and the management was terrible. 1. They are running a waitlist that new customers are not aware because of the Lack of communication, 2. No Manager on site, 3. We had to clean the bar area were we were finally seated after 30 when the bar area is supposed to be open, 4. Tables are being left un-cleaned and empty after guest for more than 30 minutes while customers have been just sitting and watching them work.

On Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at approximately 8:10 a.m., I went to the Waffle House, 308 S. Pearson Road Pearl MS. I placed an order for an "All Star Breakfast add cheese to eggs & grits, regular waffle. My order was $11.00. I gave the cashier $20.00 and received $9.00 change which I in turn gave the waitress $5.00 tip. The restaurant was not busy. There were 2 couples seated in separate areas along with a guy who was sitting outside waiting on his order when I pulled up and came in to check on that ended up waiting at the counter while I was seated by the windows waiting. I received my order before this guy in about 5 minutes of ordering. About 2-3 miles out, I realized I did not have my waffle. When I made it to work I also saw I had no silverware nor did I have any jelly for toast and she did not provide me a receipt. I tried calling this location several times to no avail which led me to write this complaint. I'm really trying to understand what was the purpose of tipping the waitress if she is not going to do her job correctly.

I was in your location on 231 S. In Dothan, Alabama this morning a little after midnight with a friend. He ordered a quarter pound cheese burger medium rare and the meat came out burnt. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet and the ham was scorched also ordered bacon and it was burnt the grits was lumpy and the hashbrowns was to be steamed and wasn't.

I, Mary Trahan, and my niece entered the Waffle House located in Opelousas, Louisiana 70570 which is constructed in the Wal-Mart parting lot. When we entered the establishment, we stood at the door for a few minutes and waited to be greeted, seated, served or something. We stood there then noticed a server to our left holding a friendly conservation with other customers seated at a table. We communicated among ourselves that the service was very poor at that point because no one even acknowledged that we were standing there. Well, to my dismay, the server standing there holding the long conservation with the other patrons turned out to be the one that would finally say maam, be seated at this table. I didn't want that table because it was near the bathroom. I did express that to her. I was upset more because she saw us standing there but continued to talk to people already eating their meal and we waiting unnecessarily while she babbled on. I then expressed to her that she should have been waiting to use instead of holding that long conversation with the people at the table and not acknowledging us . Well, that did't go pleasant at all. Her response was that she knew them, so that's why she was talking to them. My point exactly, she disregarded us. We were all unpleasant now. We passed a few words to each other. We left. Maybe that's the way your restaurants are run. The service was nasty and I must say so was the restaurant. I had a very disappointing visit with Waffle House that morning.
Desired outcome: I hope that workers could be better trained in servicing the public. A simple, hello, I'll be with you in a minute would have been great, then actually come over and service.
Can't call order in
Every time I try to call in a order in the hickory waffle House I dont get a no one to answer the phone at the fair grove church location when I try to call in on Lenoir ryn location I get were busy serving other customers try again in a few minutes so I go down there to place my to go order and there's only 3 people inside so why could they not answer and take my to go order
Food I received at the waffle house today
I ordered a ham and cheese omelet and an ham cheese hash brown the hash brown I wanted cooked lightly. The omelet was flat and burnt and the hash brown was so crispy I could not eat it. The table was filthy when I got there and the waiter asked me if I wanted to order and I said yes once you clean off this table I will! The waiter it was apparently it was his first day and didn't know what he was doing and didn't have no one helping him this was my worst experience in 20 years coming to my favorite restaurant.
Desired outcome: I am hoping for a gift certificate to replace my meal

On June 13, 2021 I patronized Waffle House #1737 located in Hubbard, Ohio. Being a relatively hot and humid day I noticed as soon as entering the establishment that their air conditioning was not working and was in fact uncomfortably warm. I addressed this condition to the manager whose name was Tony and he apologized and said he could do nothing about it.
I could have left but wanting breakfast decided to stay and eat. which the food was good but unfortunately I could not enjoy it due to the fact I was sweating profusely,
While eating I observed an individual cooking named Jon who was also sweating profusely, he was not wearing anything on his head and being a bald man I am sure his sweat was contaminating the food he was preparing which I find extremely disgusting from a customers standpoint.
The employees are working in extreme heat due to the heat coming from the food prep appliances which I believe would be considered a safety issue.
Desired outcome: needed repairs or replacement of air conditioning system
Never being able to get thru when calling in order

Employees being loud!
Visited the waffle House #1966 in Covington, GA on Thursday, June 10, 2021. Time 4:$5 P.M. The two employees working were very loud, My husband & I couldn't have a conversation. We have visited this restaurant several times. There are always family or friends visiting with the employees that are loud as well! Food wasn't prepared to the usual standard. Served grits that were not warm enough to melt butter & clumps as well.

To be fair, it does get very busy in there, and they have the drawback of being a diner, and not a traditional restaurant in that everything is done right there in full view of the customers. Generally, at a restaurant, you come in, are seated, place your order with a wait staff, then the food is cooked in the back where you cannot see the kitchen area, and then the food is brought to your table, but at a diner, you come in, are seated, and the food is cooked right there in front of you, which means you can see everything. If you were to go into the kitchen area of most restaurants, you would see that it is not the cleanest place in the world either. The kitchen never is, especially if the place is very busy as Waffle House generally is, but this is not truly the fault of the staff, nor the management, it is just reality. I have seen many times myself that customers will come into the diner, and complain about the conditions of the grill area, and the manager on site, cannot really do anything to sate these complaints for them. The grill is going to be greasy / unkempt, that is just the nature of cooking food.
That having been said, there is no good excuse for the tables to not be properly bussed, regardless of how busy it is. The serving staff are responsible for clean tables, and the managers are responsible for making sure they are keeping this done, so you do have a valid complaint there, and I would make it to the managers on site when you come across it!
