I have seen a lot of complaints about UPS and I have no doubt in my mind that they are correct. I work for UPS. They are the most self-centered, dishonest and discriminatory company as far as I know. As with lot of companies, the phrase “who you know is who you blow” applies here too. Having the unpleasant experience of being in the “pool” for part-time management promotion, it seems that all the candidates that are hired are young, inexperienced and should we say... less intelligent. And these people are managing the real people who are handling your packages and making the money for the upper management who decides where it is wasted... upper management of course!

It is funny to see when they are pinching minutes from the occupational (i.e. hourly employees) in order to save money and shoveling it to the management. But hey, that’s free enterprise procedure.

After having the experience of several years at UPS, they have literally liquidated my loyalty. I use to be loyal to UPS and do my job to the best, but today work is still done to the best, but the loyalty is gone. And this is due to the discriminatory and dishonest way of dealing with people. I got screwed in the process and I’m sure there are more to count. If I may say something that UPS did right, was the color they chose. It is brown, and it reflects the color of ###. BIG ###.

The troubles at UPS are endless. Employee turnover is horrible and since they are treating the people as they are, word gets around and eventually you run out of employees. But that is something that they are not concerned. Also, UPS wants to be the “safety organization of the world” but anything that is unsafe is usually ignored and even if acknowledged, it takes forever to fix it. So when you say UPS, might as well say “ooops...” .

So for all the people out there, you are NOT stuck with UPS. Use FedEx, USPS (United States Postal Services) or DHL. I was actually shocked to find out that FedEx “ground” is CHEAPER than UPS after they bought out a low cost package carrier. FedEx is more reliable in my mind and I cannot remember having complaint about them. Postal services have more alternatives than ever before and you can always check DHL references on-line. I am personally applying a job at DHL just for the challenge. I know that I can contribute to them or any other company more than I can to UPS. Knowledge increases the pain they say, and now I know what they meant by that. So please be noted that I do not like UPS just for the reason that I do know the truth.

Peace, Upser.

I shipped 11 boxes from Nebraska to Texas. When received I found every single box was damaged. This wasn't just small damage. I had lots of breakage. And because this stuff was packed in bubble-wrap it was clear the contents was damaged not simply by rough handling, but this stuff had to have been THROWN and far. The sad thing was I paid thru the a-s to insure this stuff.

I talked with UPS TWICE, and they refused to do absolutely anything.

Of course as a result, I do not ship anything UPS any longer. I also inform various commercial sources that if they must ship UPS, I will not place an order.

I was expecting delivery on 2 Feb. The attempt was made at 2:34 pm when the rest of the world works. No problem, I understand. It was "estimated" to be delivered between 10:30 - 5:00 the next day. I took the afternoon off to try and catch the delivery before I had to go back to work at 5:00. They attempted delivery at 6:06 pm! Wasted day of work. The last attempt was "estimated" for 4 Feb between 2:00 and 5:00 pm. Again, I took the afternoon off to catch the delivery only to find the last attempt notice stuck to my door from a 12:27 pm attempt.

At this point I am boiling mad and call the local delivery center. The first person I spoke to gave me the standard "you can pick it up at our center" line. Not satisfied with that I ask to speak with a supervisor. Five minutes later I get a half-hearted, and probably fake attempt to see if the driver can attempt delivery again today. No can do.

So now a package that I paid to have delivered, and took time off work to receive, must be picked up by me at their convenience. How is it that UPS is still in business?

I was not home to receive and sign for a package, 10.16.07; I called UPS and arranged to have it delivered 10.19.07 (I was moving that day so would be there. It never arrived. I called UOS twice. The first time it was "on the truck"; the second time I called I was told it never left their facility. Because it was now "the weekend" I had to wait for someone to call me on Monday. On Monday Lorraine called from a 914 area code (I'm in Westchester County, NY); we arranged for package to be delivered today, 10.17 at my new address between 9-12. By 12:45 it was not here. I was then on the phone with UPS for an hour; I told my story to CSR, who told me the package was in Wisconsin, I then asked to speak to a supervisor. One supervisor disconnected me. I called back. Another super., Jason, had me on hold so long that I called UPS through another line to track him down (I worked at Geico for a short period many years ago and we could leave someone on hold for more than a minute without getting back to the caller and explaining what was going on before putting them on hold again...we had egg timers on our desks!). All Jason could do was tell me the same thing. I could not track down this "Lorraine", the number I had been calling her one just rang and rang. I'd like to be able to say that when I spoke to Jason's manager, Gwen, she was able to tell me something but she didn't have a clue. I will never use UPS again and will never order any items from any on-line store that uses them. I love amazon.com but I'll most likely just go to my neighborhood book store now as they use UPS. They should be out of business. I hear that their CEO is retiring and that under the outgoing CEO it just became a culture of bad or no cutomer service. I urge everyone not to use UPS and not to do business with companie who do; perhaps they'll get the message and switch to a better providor.

Do not use UPS! Use DHL instead. I recently sent a business related package by UPS Overnight. Paying their premium prices. They did not deliver until 17 days later. When I contacted them they took no responsibility. They made no effort to rectify the situation. They just don't care. They didn't even have a reason why it was late. They will not be liable for any late deliveries. Why bother sending it overnight? You will just be wasting your money. You cant trust them to deliver on time, once it is in their hands, your screwed. I will never use UPS again. USE DHL or Fed Ex instead.

I recently had a auto bumper shipped from Arizona to South Florida. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday. An exception was noted on the account and upon an inquiry I was told it has been shipped back to Arizona. No attempt to deliver was attempted to the correct address on the invoice. No refusal of delivery occurred. The driver did not bring this item to the correct address listed within this document and the item I have been told is on its way back to Arizona…This is not acceptable.
I would like the driver questioned and his credibility scrutinized. The front desk person at the company is known and denies any attempt for delivery. This situation is not acceptable.

UPS denies insurance claim after damaging my $300 (insured)package I sent to someone. Package is worth $450 + freight. UPS states I didn't package it properly. I have been a major appliance dealer for 30+ years. I know how to package stuff. These idiots ran into it with a fork truck punching a hole in box ripping it apart damaging the heater inside. Triple wrapped in bubble wrap padded with 2 inch styrofoam all corners 1 inch styrofoam on voids on side & any void filled with peanuts. This box was tight with packing prior to shipping no movement or rattles just the way a refrigerator would be packaged. UPS has taken 40+ days to make up their mind telling me this & initially they said they would pay now they are denying the claim, since they did not pack it. I paid for the insurance in good faith & shipped in good faith. UPS screwed me I urge everyone not to use UPS if you value your stuff. That is the last for me.

Once again a package I paid extra to have delivered today (Friday) has been re-scheduled for Monday. There was a problem with the address label that was supposedly the reason for the re-scheduling, but when I talked to their customer service dept. at 7:30 a.m. the problem was fixed. So why can't they deliver my package today - it's not that far from Laurel, MD to my home in NVA and is absolutely feasible to have it delivered today. But, NO! Because UPS is run by and employs THE most incompetent, inept ###s on the planet - you know, the people the DMV refused to hire - I get screwed yet again. A great company would have made an exception and delivered the package today or tomorrow at the latest, but not good old unreliable UPS - nope, Monday is the best they can do And as my package is still listed as having a missing or illegible address label and no re-scheduled delivery date, I'm not going to hold my breath that it's going to be delivered Monday or ever. UPS has this nasty little habit of losing my packages too. I've had it with UPS and their crappy service! If I can't find something in a bricks and mortar store then I'll do without it rather than having to put up with UPS's crappy, incompetent, inept delivery service and employees.

I shipped a package (an 11" x 14" envelope) from California to Ontario Canada. I went into my local UPS office. The charge was already kinda high--$18 for non-rush delivery, but I paid it. Little did I know that they would hold the package and charge the recipient an additional $50 to deliver it! Additional fees by UPS were never disclosed to me at the time of shipping. They charge a "customs handling fee" that the recipient or myself had to pay. When I argued the charge, and my recipient balked, they wanted $30 to ship it back to me! They said if I didn't pay up, or she didn't pay the $50 to get the package, they would destroy it by Friday! This was a gift, handmade by myself, and I didn't want it destroyed. We wound up having to pay the $50. UPS is a rip off, and I will never use them again.

I woke up early today and waited for a package to arrive (it was shipped Next Day Air). After refreshing UPS' website religiously, at 9:10 am, the truck driver noted that I "wasn't home" to sign for the package and that a second attempt would be made the following day. This isn't the first time it's happened either. Every time a package is being delivered via UPS, they always drive by my house and say that I wasn't home. No notice was left, nothing! A couple of weeks ago, I waited outside my house and saw the UPS truck driver drive right by me! My husband and I ran after the truck screaming and yelling for him to stop. The package that was arriving was VERY important. We've complained to UPS customer service, but haven't done anything to help resolve the issue.

UPS IS THE WORST SHIPPING COMPANY EVER. I WAS SUPPOSED TO RECEIVE A PACKAGE BY UPS, BUT OF COURSE UPS SUCKS SO BADDDDDD, THAT I NEVER GOT. FIRST WHEN I TRACKED THE PACKAGE THEY SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE THE RECEIVERS INFO ( IMPOSIBLE BECAUSE IF U DON'T PUT THE RECEVERS INFO IT WOULDN'T GO OUT) I CALLED AND GIVE THEM MY INFO, THEY SAID THE GOT IT ANDTHE READ THE INFO BACK AND EVERYTHING WAS CORRECT. WHEN I CHECKED THE TRACKING INFO ONLINE, IT SAID THAT, OUT OF BUSSINES, I CALLED AGAIN AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THE DRIVER WENT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS, I GOT MAD OF COURSE AND TOLD THEM SO I HAVE TO PAID FOR UPS MISTAKE IT WAS YOUR ERROR AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THE BEST THING THE CAN DO IS TO RE-SCHEDULED THE DELIVERY. I TOLD THEM THAT I WOULD LIKE TO TALK TO A MANAGER AND THEY PUT ME ON HOLD AND THEN HANG UP. SO NOW I'M SCREWED BAD.

Those are the words you hear from UPS when they fail to provide the service you paid for. Every UPS rep I talked to tonight had the same thing to say about their failure, "I'm so sorry Sir", that phrase must be in their training manual.
I have a plane to catch at 6am Friday morning for a project in the Caribbean and I ordered some specialized tools that I need for the project to be delivered 2nd Day Air. Tracking number 1Z1268710210003668.

When the UPS truck made a delivery today, I asked about this package and the driver said, "it's not on this truck, maybe another truck will be coming."
I called UPS customer service around 4pm today and asked about deliver status. The UPS rep said "It's on the truck and is scheduled to be delivered today, they have until 7pm to deliver."
6:30 and no UPS delivery, so I called UPS customer service and they tell me the same thing "It's on the truck and is scheduled to be delivered today, they have until 7pm to deliver."
10:30 I call customer service and they tell me "It's on the truck and is scheduled to be delivered today." I asked the rep if he really believes there are UPS trucks out at 11pm delivering packages, he answers "I'm so sorry Sir."
I ask the rep if UPS will ship the package to my destination in the Caribbean at their expense. "I'm so sorry Sir, but there will be an additional $271.00 charge for this."
So, it will cost me an additional $271.00 for their failure. WTF, if I ran my business like that I would be out of business in a week.
My shipping advice - FedEx.

I am very dissapointed in UPS. I ordered an iPod from Apple, with engraving. My brother ordered one too, and got his a little later than expected. My order, however, has not moved for FOUR entire days, even after a departure scan that was almost 36 hours ago. It is currently 8:52 PM in Shanghai, and it has been over 5 days since anything has moved. I am VERY dissapointed in UPS, and I doubt that the customer service would be any good if I complained.

NOTE: There is no "Weather Delay" or anything to even provoke a possible delay. UPS has bad shipment, and I will not trust it with anything in the future.

Oh yes- and WHY exactly on the UPS site is the United States the FIRST COUNTRY? Who cares if they dominate the world, they do know how to scroll down a box, and this ridicules your international customers.

The UPS Driver was to return the undelivered Iphone 4 on 2/7/11 back to the UPS location for pick up by the receipent. He failed to do so and when I went to pick it up the next day, I was told that the package was "damaged". It was confirmed on Wedneday, 2/9/11 by way of My Verizon Acct. that the phone was activated! UPS and Verizon are still trying to figure this out. Investigating the issue. I the customer is still waiting for my phone! I don't understand why either of these large companies cannot figure out how to satisfy me the customer!

I have ordered from Amazon for years, which UPS has been the carrier. Recently, the local carrier has stopped leaving packages outside my door and, instead, has dropped them further and further away from my house. Now I find them near the road, outside my gate. A couple of them have 'gone missing.' Anyone who reads this and has a similar compliant, please do what I'm going to do, and file it with the Better Business Bureau (bbb.org) . I believe it's the only way your compliant will be heard.

I have grown tired of UPS' idea of delivery service. I live in an old appartment building and the directory listing is not kept up to date. The delivery person went through the directory and decided this was the wrong address (which was confirmed more than three times). Instead of the usual voicemail of where to pick it up (as Fedex or Canada Post would do) they decided to send my package back to the Seller. I made contact with UPS and they portrayed a very "too bad so sad" attitude. My package is now in a warehouse and they are going to call back to let me know if they will in fact send it to a pickup location. How hard is it to send a package to a pickup station? I am irritated with UPS and their very shady business practices. If you have a choice between UPS and anything else go with anythying else.

Recently, I had a very expensive antique clock shipped to me via UPS. The clock was packed by a UPS store in Texas and sent to me in Washington State. When the clock arrived, it was completely destroyed. Now, the UPS store says that they will not refund the shipping charges. I sent pictures of the packing material to a professional shipper in California, and was told that it was improperly packed, which lead to the destruction of the clock. At this point, I will never use UPS or its stores again. They do not stand by their services, and have done nothing but stall the claims process.

Shipped my package on 1/14 to CT. It was a return so we used the address on the label, which was the UPS store. From there it wall went downhill. UPS store said the recipient didn't match the address in their system, so they rerouted. Turns out that was the wrong address. Someone signed for the package, but then returned it to the store saying it didn't belong to them. WTH? Fought with the center to get the address corrected and redelivered on their dime, since it was their screw up. Since then they have made four attempts to deliver. Out on the truck in the morning, back in the center by 4 because of "emergency conditions". Tried to deliver last Friday but said no one was available to sign, rescheduled for today. Out on the truck this morning, back in the center once again for emergency conditions. Rescheduled for tomorrow. That's their last chance. Will have it shipped back to me and try another courier. I'm done with UPS.

WATCH OUT when sending packages with UPS! My daughter came home for 7 months while her husband was shipped out in the Navy. She took her computer to the UPS store on base, they filled it with peanuts at the store, sold her insurance, BUT the insurance was only for lost or stolen. She got her computer, I accepted it, the box was clearly beat up, the computer came broken. After several attempts to get ups or the ups store to do the right thing and fix the computer that was my daughters communication to her husband. Well guess what? Neither of them would do the right thing! MAKE SURE YOU USE THEIR BOXES, THEY PACK IT, AND CHECK YOU INSURANCE THEY SELL YOU! Oh yes, if you do have a problem, GOOD LUCK WITH HAVING A MANAGER CALL YOU BACK. THAT NEVER HAPPENED EITHER FROM UPS. Also the manager at that store was one of the rudest people I have ever tried to talk to. He wasn't even working when his worker packed the box. BEWARE!

I spent $275 for a used motorcycle fender from an Ebay seller in Salt Lake CIty. I received the package on time, but, despite it being exceptionally well packed by the seller, UPS managed to put a 6" crack in the ABS plastic. After filing their online claim form, I received an auto-generated email acknowledging the claim, and that was it. The next day, a delivery driver showed up with a "call" tag, to pick it up and take it to the local office for examination. I told him that I did not want to send it back, as there was not another available in my paint color right now, period. When I called the local CS, they said that they normally send the item back to the sender with a refund, if they determine the claim is valid- the selller then should settle up with the buyer. I told them that I would be satisfied if they would just pay for the materials that I needed to repair it, but, no, that is not the way they do things. Anyway, I congratulated them for raising the bar for poor service; I have had the identical fender on my bike for 4+ years, through 2 drops in the mud, one in the snow, saddlebags beating on the sides, backing into a curb, and several holes drilled and sawn ito it for light mods, without a single crack. They managed to break one in 5 days through 3 layers of cardboard!

Just prior to Christmas in 2010, I shipped a small package (a 11" x 14" envelope) from my Local (Tracy CA) UPS office, to Ontario, Canada.

The shipping was already expensive--$18, with no rush, but I assumed that was because it had to travel outside the USA. When my recipient was supposed to receive it a week later, she got a note stating that UPS wanted an additional $50.00 to deliver it. Why? UPS charges a "customs duty fee" that was never disclosed to me at the time of shipping. We both balked at the charge! When neither of us paid it within two weeks, while we argued the unfairness of the charge with UPS, they threatened to destroy it by friday of that week. We had to pay. They scammed us! UPS is a rip-off! Don't use them.

I received a parcel to my door, which had been paid for along with shipping.

I contacted customer service in regards to the COD charges, for explanation.

On a package with goods worth $350 they claim there are COD fees of $106? Absolutely insane! The shipping itself cost more than that! The CSR wasn't able to explain the COD fees, either. Customs documents tell what fees are charged, and why. This woman stammered her way through what was not even close to an explanation.

I will NEVER be shipping UPS again, and will be certain I tell everyone of this horrible experience.

A package was supposed to be delivered today 11/26/2010. The tracking number shows that the package is "In Transit". Upon calling the UPS center (at the above number) I was told that the UPS centers are closed today and that there are no Ground shipments being made today as they are closed. The website to find a local center shows that they are open M-F until 6:00 p.m. (my local time). There is no information about any holiday hours for today. The representative and a manager at UPS both stated that Ground shipments are not being done today and that the local centers are closed. When asked why the website states that the package is "In Transit", the both state that they don't know why. They also state that they don't know why a representative would state that they would ship a package today. When asked why, they stated that it was a holiday. (This part I understand). However, when asked why an employee would state that a package would be delivered when it is not going to be, they said that they don't know why this would happen.

In the 6 Years I have lived at this address, UPS has yet to successfully deliver a package to my door without me having to call to complain. The driver has repeatedly "tried to deliver" to a laundry door, always leaving a hopeless yellow note that they were unable to deliver. Of course, they are unable to deliver since nobody lives in the Laundry Room, duh. Though, I have complained multiple times by calling the UPS customer service call center, they have yet to correct the performance of this incompetant employee. It is insulting and infuriating that he continues to purposely not walk up the 11 stairs to my front door until I have complained enough that I lose my voice. In a current episode, I've called UPS to complain about a package "out for delivery" since Feb 1 (1Z5281860305932053 - it's now 9pm on the 4th and I still do not have my parcel though this package is only traveling a total of 28 miles!). I spoke with a superviser Rachelle #2595 with no resolution, then her supervisor Sean #5281 with no resolution, then his supervisor Rachelle #2968 who hung up on me after I was on the phone for nearly 1hr 20minutes to be able to speak with her (note: even if she did care enough to want to help me, UPS does not empower her with to tools to make clients happy - their "hands are tied"). I am fed up with UPS. I have filed a complaint with the BBB demanding that the driver on my route be replaced and that an executive of the company appologize for all of the grief that they've put me through. Since they do not care, I do not anticipate that they satisfy my claim so I am boycotting UPS! I will tell you all, and everyone who I know that I think UPS is the worst company on the planet. Entrust them with your parcels and you may get exactly what I've received over the past 6 years - lost shipments, stolen goods from outside areas, countless delays, damage, indifferent "customer service" agents, and just pure LAZYNESS.

UPS cites local poor weather conditions here in washington DC as a reason for not having delivered a 1 lb package--from drop to deliver a 6 mile trip. I called to check on refund options two days later--they said there are none because its "...the weather's fault the delivery failed".

FedEx on the other hand DID deliver, the same type of package, from a nearby drop to the same addressee--they did it on time, before 10:00 AM. When it absolutely, positively, has to be there overnight...stick with FedEx and dump UPS (or be prepared for non-delivery and no refund).

I'm an online retailer selling large screen TVs. This is very different from many other smaller size products because we have to constantly deal with damaged packages, oversize, lost & stolen...A UPS guy came to my office to introduce himself and try to build a relationship at the time to lure us from FedEx. After a while, we came on board and start using UPS.

We started to have horrible complaints from our customers. The package got damaged and our rate of successful dispute is zero. We have so many damaged packages and we never get anything resolved with UPS. They handle the claim to another company. We had to fight so hard without any result. So I've lost thousands of dollars just because they damage my packages so badly and don't even want to stand up for it.

However, that's not the biggest problem. The biggest problem is the oversize charge. The limit for oversize charge is 130 inches for length + girth. Many of our packages are right around 125-127 inches, meaning that we don't get over size. However, when it gets to UPS, the packages are almost always oversize. The same TV got measured with so many different measurements and all of them were wrong. I got charged $50 for every oversize package. This accumulates to tens of thousands of $. I told my account managers and he promised to resolve it but it never got resolved for months. He even brought his manager, who said that with his power, he could only refund $500! What! So I did not pay for those invoices that I got overcharged. And the late fees start to apply. Every invoice I have to pay $500-$800 in late fees. And that is weekly. I could have made tens of thousands of dollars but all of that money went to UPS. They are not only horrible but inhumane, ripping off small business like me.

I then switched back to FedEx and we've been shipping with them for a month now. Things are better than I expected. No damage packages, no lost or stolen so far, no unreasonable oversize charge. Just really really great experience. I don't understand why UPS is still around. I remember 10 years ago, I shipped a computer out to a customer. That was when I first started the online e-commerce adventure. I went to UPS and the fat lady told me it would cost almost $40 while at FedEx, it's only around $25. I swear that I never use UPS again not only because they're more expensive but the service was horrible. Now I paying for breaking my own rule 10 years ago. But I can safely say that UPS will never ever ever get my business. This kind of company should be bankrupt!

I ordered DSL from AT&T. It was said to be delivered on November 4th, 2008. However, every single time I get something that has to be delivered by UPS, I guess I am the last house on the last street to be delivered for the day. I've had them deliver things as late as 8:30 pm, scaring me when they pound on the door. However, this time there was no bell, no knock, no nothing. The real topper is that I had a couple of boxes and a black trash bag on the porch with yard sale items inside. I came home today to find a vagrant filing through the boxes to take what he pleased. Never, never did it occur to me to look inside the largest ravaged box, where, lo and behold, there was my package from UPS...and just what if I had designated those boxes to charity, as I'd done two weeks before. No telling where my DSL modem and such would be. I am livid. This is not good customer service. This is a case of hit and run. If it hits a good place, that's cool. If it doesn't, oh well and then the driver runs back to the truck and pushes on. No more signing to make sure y0u get your stuff. No anything but bad service. I'm tired of it. They need to get their act together. Thousands of people depend upon them to get their packages in a half-way decent manner. What's next? Standing in the doorway of the truck, whistling for the customer to come out and they pitch it out to you? I wouldn't doubt it.

UPS...Why are they still in business?
I love it. Not only do we face the Christmas time fiasco with deliveries, I have another for you. I was visiting my son in law and daughter, just north of Syracuse, NY. I dropped a package off in Cicero, NY Store# 4557 to send some things to my home in Florida because I would be over the weight limit on the plane. I asked if my box could be placed in another box and have packing added all around it so things would not get broken, so they said, yes of course so I paid and left. 4 days later I check the tracking and find in Atlanta, GA damage was found and it was on its way back to Cicero, NY. Wow, that’s great, I don’t live in NY!. I got a call from the extremely rude manager in Cicero, she said my package would be there in a day for me to pick up...Now Duh! I don’t live in NY. I said well, I want it delivered as our original contract said, plus I want my item which was broken by UPS! replaced after I paid to have it ADDITIONALLY BOXED AND PROTECTED, I also want my shipping fee since UPS has sent it over 2000 miles and I still don’t have it. Attila, says tough, you’re not getting the box or your shipping charges. OK, now isn’t this great! I finally got a hold of my daughter and son in law to see if they can drive to get the package. He has to wait to get his time away from Fort Drum where he serves this country. They arrive to get the package and low and behold... the broken glass is still in the package and NO ADDITIONAL PACKAGING PROTECTION IS IN THE BOX...NO WONDER IT BROKE, THESE ###S IN CICERO JUST PLACE MY BOX IN ANOTHER ONE.
So we have $42.42 - Shipping
$12.50 for extra box and packing peanuts
$24.50 damaged goods
= $ 79.42Total
No goods + cost of having soldier and wife pick up damage = Priceless

This is not to mention the $1500.00 speakers they demolished less than 8 months ago. Then tried to blame it on the packaging, which was not only the original shipping packaging but also extra protection. The packaging in the box, when it was delivered looked like it had gone thru a shredder. One box had been 3/4 torn in half.
Sincerely,
John Venier

I ordered online a few books from a company in the States and the delivery was made by UPS. UPS incorrectly classified the books as autoparts and I was required to pay a brokerage fee of $60+ dollars and the Canadian taxes. I complained to UPS and they admitted their fault and refunded the overpaid taxes but not the brokerage fees. It turned out that I have to pay $60 brokerage fee on top of the $240 worth of books. I have never been in that situation when I order books from the States. It was purely UPS fault. I will never use them and avoid any online companies that use UPS. I find US Mail much better.

My wife did this not thinking clearly.she went for 30day trial. with the understanding she could return if not satisfied within the thirty days.her first few attempts they kept trying to get her to keep. she felt truely pressured by the representatives.they did finally tell her they would pay shipping with U.P.S. PLUS REFUND OF ORIGINAL 74.00.TODAY SHE ATTEMPTED AGAIN to get shipping info.well needless to say i got on phone and the rep was extremely rude. said we had to pay the shipping and that she would only recieve like 24.00 dollars of her 74.00.we are both disabled on disability.74.00 dollars is alot of money to us.so i just wanted to say that luminess is a scam ripoff.thanks for ripping us off you crooked s.o.b. please quit takeing advantage of people. and changeing things to your benefit.i think your company and product *** and is ###.thanks for being typical scam artist ***

I ordered an item on-line from the UK and selected the 3-5 days delivery service, for which I was charged the appropriate speedy delivery rate. The order was placed on Sept 29th! and to date I have not received my parcel.

I order from this website regularly and have had plenty of joy when the items were delivered by DHL. I cannot say the same about my experience with UPS. Not only is the parcel late but the SA office charged me extra! to have the item 'delivered', a delivery I am still waiting for...

I reached out to Theresa Hogg to enquire about the delay in delivery and the extra charge, this on 6 October. I have had no feedback from her whatsoever and am still waiting... for feedback as well as my parcel, for which I selected and paid for a speedy service...

How I miss dealing with DHL on days like this... Appalled does not begin to describe how I feel. Pure daylight robbery on the part of UPS. Where I can help it, I will NOT use their service EVER again...

For several times now I have paid UPS to deliver to my house nutritional products. Again I have paid for UPS to deliver. This last pkg was dropped off to a near by post office, instead of delivering to my house. Before this incident, UPS was putting my products in a plastic bag and tying it on my mail box or a near by mail box which is not mine. I have called to complain several times and the problem still goes on. I thought that when you pay for a service you should get that service but I guess that UPS is really service oriented.

I ordered football jerseys for the family for the whole family. Paid the extra money to have the jerseys delivered BY wednesday! (plenty of time before game). Its now Friday, & they just updated the tracking info that the package will now arrive MONDAY! How useless are football jerseys the day after the superbowl! The package arrived at a nearby center at 1130am friday morning, but the service rep tells me that the package is in some kind of crate and wont be precessed until monday! Here is the best part! I was even willing to go pick it up, but that is against procedure! You would think some UPS supervisor, KNOWING the packages are already two days late, would shake a leg and make sure the packages are expedited to the customers! And the worst of it, is now I have to wait to receive the package, then spend MY TIME to return the thing! Thanks a Lot UPS! Really Appreciate how you do business!

Friday, October 17, 2008 - "1st Attempt Delivery Notice" pasted on front door of business.
Boxes marked with an X: Next Delivery Attempt Monday, October 20, 2008 Time of Next Delivery Attempt, 2 - 5 pm.
I sat and waited for the "2nd Delivery Attempt" from 9am - 5:30 pm on Monday, October 20, 2008. NO DRIVER ATTEMPTED A DELIVERY.
Called UPS Customer Service and spoke to CSR with regards to why this package was NOT delivered, as was stated on notice. I was told that they could not find the package now and that it was never on any delivery truck on Monday, October 20th, 2008.
I was told that a supervisor will telephone me in the morning with updated information on this "missing in UPS limbo" shipment.
This is not my first bad experience with UPS. The last time a supplier used UPS to deliver a shipment, it took exactly "ONE MONTH" to the day to receive a parcel from California to Manitoba, Canada.
UPS should re-think their advertising campaign to possibly state,
"WHAT CAN BROWN NOT DO FOR YOU".

Shipped package addressed to a company with attention to a specific person. Accidentally gave wrong zip, off by one number. Package delivered to a different company at another zip code. After receiving a call that it wasnt delivered, I checked online to make sure it was delivered. It was signed for, but that is when I realized that the zip code was incorrect and the package had gone to a different town. I called UPS and was told " We/UPS does not ship to people, we ship to addresses! They put me on hold so that they could contact the company that signed for the package. The representative then gave me the company phone number and told me that I would have to contact them to try and retrieve my package. Keep in mind that the company that signed for and received my package, had had it in their possession for 4 weeks. They would not respond to my calls. So, I called UPS again and was told that I should drive back to my UPS location and fill out a form so that the UPS driver could attempt to retrieve my package, and I would need to pay a fee of $7.00's for this. I was told that the UPS driver would attempt to retrieve the package, but if the company wouldn't turn over, or deny having it..there is nothing they can do for me. When I began questioning the UPS rep about this, she disconnected the call. When I called back, the call was disconnected again. My husband's company has an account with UPS and ships packages weekly. They have just lost our business!

UPS routinely dropps off packages in the middle of the day, when everyone is at work, with no signature, to whatever part of the house/apartment they can access. If your package gets stolen, oh well, they delivered it. I still haven't gotten an anwer - even their automated operator tries to force you not to talk to customer service, "I already told you when the package was delivered." Customer service is a JOKE - they don't have a clue and they plain just don't care. They will not do anything that involves lifting a finger. I will never use them again. If you are having something shipped UPS - REQUIRE A SIGNATURE, or there is nothing keeping your UPS Driver from scanning it as delivered and taking it home.

I paid three times for a package that was shipped from my home ground, but was marked next day by the driver. The Philly dept. did not record my payment the second time, and after two hours on the phone I paid the third time. I won't use UPS again, I suggest you don't either.

I tried to ship a package to Mexico. It was picked up and taken to the UPS depot. It was missing customs forms and returned to me two days later. Now, UPS wants $384.00 for shipping the package, which was the cost of shipping it to Mexico. I agreed to pay the cost of shipping to the depot and back, but instead I have been turned to a collection agency.

It is a sad state when industry "leaders" work to intimidate and bully customers to pay for services not rendered. THey want hundreds of dollars for a package they had for three days and shipped less than 10 miles.

Well after reading complaints about UPS and the damage they cause and not honor insurance claims
i finally see where the consumer has had enough..First of all i am a Powerseller on Ebay and sell and ship about 75 to 85 Items a week, I used to use UPS until they destroyed a $2000.00 dollar Helmet and refused to honor the insurance Claim..Well i did the usual complaining and letter sending to everybody and their Mothers but what i forgot about was posting the complaint on Ebay itself just to see who else is having problems with UPS and OMG there are thousands out there so what i did was tell people about the Service i received from FEDEX and how awsome they are and their pricing is about 20% cheaper then UPS and to date already i have accomplished taking 7 Powersellers away from UPS and they now ship thru FEDEX so the way i look at it is if UPS doesn't want to pay the insurance claim on my Helmet of $2000.00 dollars thats fine because i have taken away better then $3000.00 dollars a week in shipping from them and now FEDEX gets it and i will keep going till UPS feels it and changes Business practice..It looks like another big business thats going to go down the tubes and the dishonest people that work for UPS are going to be in the unemployment lines...THANK GOD..
