wrongful termination
To whom it may Concern (Subway),
Hello my name is Charles M Core-Archie and I am here to report illegal hiring as well Wrongful Termination. In July 2017 i was hired by Vishal Amin at Subway store # 49528 address 904 Huntington Ave Boston. When I applied for the store my application did not go through the system. I've later on contacted Vishal and told him my issue. He simply set up an interview and hired me on spot .I informed him that I was already aware of Subway and its standards being that I was a supervisor at Subway at 700 Albany St. He hired me right on spot. I was already working for the Chipotle in Newton at this time in the mornings. He "scheduled" me to have evening shifts from ¾-10 on weekdays, 3-9 on weekends. At "$11/hr pay….in cash. ". When I started I was staffed with 2 Asian people as well as a young Caucasian female. I was the only black worker. My boss explained the "other black people" who used to work before weren't very" useful" when it came to customer service. After leaving Chipotle I made this location my "Full-Time" Job .I've asked him plenty of times about my application and why I am not on "the books" and he states" he's doing me a favor by not putting me on so I don't have taxes taken away and I can find a new job in mornings and can work both." After weeks of informing I've given up because he is the boss and I shouldn't have to keep reminding him that I want to be legally paid. The next month he hires Jeremiah Brown (who is also my partner) after leaving Chipotle . He was fully aware that we were a gay couple and living together. He hired the both of us to work evening shifts again 3-10 weekdays 3-9 on weekends $11/hr pay".Ive had duties from counting breads to Closing POS systems everynight for the past six months or so. We both were titled the key holders: because we" were trusted" by him and his wife Alicia Amin. Soon after hiring Jeremiah Vishal hired a young Lady named Rachel on the books. For awhile things have gone fine, The owners even got offered a new store on centre street in JP DUE TO RATES IMPROVING. But Vishal Got his first complaint in January 2018. Jeremiah and I accidentally charged a customer wrong. The customer made a complaint right away and Vishal had a talk with Jeremiah and I. Basically he stated his license could be in danger because we are "illegal workers" and if Subway asked for video proof he cannot explain why we are working at "his store" .He lied to Subway and told them it was him and his wife that were present and not us to save the store. Shortly I asked him what will it take for me to be supervisor especially that he has a new store coming and a pregnant wife and he stated between Rachel and I he would have to pick her because she is more "consistant" .That hurt me but I swallowed my pride. He still had us working but he started showing signs of him wanting to terminate us. On Tuesday January 30th, 2018 things changed. Jeremiah brought his dog to the back of the store and later on that night Vishal came in the store and sent us BOTH home. I have no idea why I was sent home being that it was not my dog and I had no authority over jeremiah … he didn't care that I had to pay rent and had other bills to pay. When he sent me home he stated" This is the end of your shift, take the dog with you and I will contact you tomorrow about your shift. Tomorrow came and no call. Ive contacted him later on asking if we were still employed and terminated us via text. He says we did a no call no show which was not true. He didn't call us to inform our status in the job. The next day we tried to return the key and uniforms and he pulled us to the corner stating he knows we don't have a" source of income" and have bills…he asked us to come in Saturday. Jeremiah has had major medical problems that both owners know about and we even wanted to bring doctors notes but they were not accepted. On Febuary 4th Super Bowl Day we entered the store at 3:40 expecting to work and the store was posted to shut down at 4. We were told today Febuary 5th, 2018 a week after being sent home that we were no longer working there via phone….because he "hired" three other people because his wife is no longer working there (which was not discussed). I have so much more to say this is only a portion of what is REALLY the issue with this location. But if this is not rectified I will report subway to the ACLU, NAACP, GAY AND LESBIAN AIDE AND FOX NEWS. This is a very serious matter of two gay black workers who are Massachusetts citizens working and terminated illegally by two foreign owners in a fast food customer service business. There is no reason why I should've been out of a job for weeks, and don't have one currently. I am at risk of being homeless AGAIN AFTER BEING STABLE NOW FOR TWO YEARS. I cannot speak for Jeremiah but I have been used and I need justice served. He does not deserve his license or to own a new store if he mistreats his workers. I can only give you my emergency contact number [protected]….or my email ( [protected]@gmail.com0 because my service is off but I will need someone to contact me back As Soon As Possible so I can get the justice I deserve. I will like to report Vishal and Alicia AMIN for Wrongful Hiring and Termination.I have plenty of text and photos to prove my case.
unhygienic staff
Dear Subway
I have been a customer for over 10 years since being a student. Today i got a salad, and consumed it on 5/2/18 at 1.50pm.After eating it, there was a huge empowering after taste of cigarette smoke.
It was revolting, and i feel sick from it. I am anti-cigarettes at the best of times but this was astonishing. No amount of chewing gum or mints is taking the taste away and i am bewildered as how this would be able to happen with the current strict food & hygiene laws in place.
Staff should be wearing the plastic gloves when preparing food. I believe the girl was, however she must have been smoking on her break and still wearing the gloves.
I spend around £15 per week, £60 a month in Subway for my lunches as i typically get a £3 salad per day and on occasions get a foot long with a coffee etc.
I am seriously contemplating not to return as this is how disgusted by this incident i really am.
It is still fresh (no pun) as it only happened 1 hour ago but i am deeply disheartened by the food that i received today.
I want to bring this to your attention to prevent it from happening again. This occurred at the Subway on Argyle Street, Glasgow, Scotland.
Regards
Mark Kelsey

Today, I used my gift card for 15.00 at the subway located at 8015 State Line Rd, Kansas City, MO 64114. The young man that was working the front line took my order sometime between 2:00-3:00 pm. I do not have my receipt, because I threw it away so, I'm unable to pinpoint the time. During our exchange, I did not note anything out of the ordinary. I had ordered a personal pizza, 6 pc chicken wings, and 6" sweet onion teriyaki chicken sub. The last item I had to wait on was the chicken wings. I noted the young man, did not place the paper that you would normally place in the box, and he looked at me as if to say, he isn't doing it, and that he knows it should be done. I was a little taken back, because there was nothing in our exchange prior to that, that was hostile or offensive. I looked at him as if to say, you know better. He placed the box on my packed bag with my previous items, I said thank you, although I must admit I was a bit surprised. He walked off without saying a word, even though I thanked him (no, there was no sarcasm or caustic tone in my voice, because I think I was still too surprise). I do not know if he was overwhelmed with my three (3) orders, and that the line had about three people behind me, but it was not appreciated. The time I got home, and went to eat one of my chicken wings, it tasted of cardboard. Needless to say, I didn't eat the rest. I'm not a fan of your store to begin with, but I had a gift card. I just hope you can remind your employees that cardboard doesn't taste nice, and when someone says thank you, the normal response is, you're welcome!

Never never never never go to the subway at 7400 rivers ave North Charleston SC. The old man that works there is "RUDE". Presented him with a corporate coupon that says any "6" inch sandwich for $2.99. He told me that I could only choose one of two sandwiches. He did the same thing last summer to me. He would also tell me that I can only have "2" tomatoes on my six inch sub. I use to go there cause it's actually in walking distance... 0.5mi from my apartment. I went to two other subways 2 miles away with the same coupons and had no problem whatsoever getting my sub. Never again Wil I ever go to that subway. I wouldn't go there if they were giving out free subs...Never again. Please take my advice n go somewhere else... it's not worth the hassle ...
sandwich
I got a subway for lunch- nothing unusual, go to this one often and never had any issues. I got home with my foot long tuna and started eating it. about 2 bites into the second half, i noticed something dark- pulled it out not knowing what it is- perhaps part of the tuna. I look back at my sandwich and see another bigger dark "thing". I opened the sandwich and saw this bug- not sure what kind but i am hoping to God that the little piece is part of the bigger one and not from the previous bite i took... I went back and they did give me my money back. Still not sure if it was part of the tuna or bread. This is something that should be checked by the people who make the food and also who serve. Again, this is the first time it's happened to me but that is a big bug that should have been caught.

false advertising
At subway on Paradise & Sahara in Las Vegas Nv, ordered 5 foot-long sandwiches after seeing local tv ad for $4.99 each. The local tv ad does not say anything about this offer being available at select locations only. When food is ready, upon checkout I'm given a Price of $60! I mention tv ad and get told they do No Promotions at this location and point to 1" sign at register. I declined to pay for sandwiches and Las Vegas Metro Police are called! I'm threatened with pay or go to jail!
customer service
I went to my local subway located on Atlantic ave in Bell Ca on January 28th 2018 and everything started fine until Gloria (the girl with pink hair) started making my sandwich. I asked for a flatbread (mind you I had not even at subway in about 5 years) so she caught me off guard when she asked if I wanted white or wheat. I thought she misheard me so I said flatbread once again. That is when she started yelling at me saying if I wanted white or wheat. I panicked so I said wheat, for the rest of the time she was making my sandwich she kept yelling and being extremely rude.
I honestly regret giving subway another chance.
Please train your employees with proper customer service skills regardless if they are related to a district manager or not.
Yeah that Gloria sure is a [censor]
subway employee
I visited my local subway on 87th and ashland and whoever the guy was working around 12am (he wasn't wearing a name tag or anything) he was very rude to me when I asked him to make two sandwiches in order to save him some time and he came off very rude for no reason at all I don't know if he was having a bad day or something but his service was very unacceptable and he shouldn't be working there if he can't provide sufficient customer service. Every time I go in there they're always out of something. They're always "cash only" because the system is always down. At least that's what they say. I'm just tired of this place and it's rude employees. They sell and smoke weed in the back room (i've seen it with my own eyes) of the store it's bad there and something needs to be done asap.
manager/owner & refused to make my sandwich the way I wanted it
On Friday, 1/19/18, I stopped by the Subway in our small town of Green Cove Springs, FL (1305 N. Orange Avenue). There was only one customer there at the time (that should have been a clue). The manager/owner asked what bread I wanted, I told him, then he put the meat and cheese on the bread. I asked, "What about the mayonnaise? ". He squeezed a small amount on top of the meat and cheese. I told him I wanted more, he begrudgingly squeezed more on and slammed down the bottle. I said I wanted more and for him to spread it on the sandwich (isn't it supposed to go onto the bread?). He squeezed a small amount more and slammed down the container again and asked if I wanted anything else. Yes, I wanted lettuce - he put a small amount on; I wanted onions - he put a small amount on and I asked for more onions. He told me he would NOT put anymore on "this sandwich!" I said, "I have never heard such a thing, that Subway has ALWAYS made our sandwich just the way we wanted it." He did not respond and hurried me out before I could even think of what to do next.
I told my husband what had happened when I got back to our vehicle. He took the sandwich and went back into the Subway. He laid the sandwich on the counter and told the manager/owner that he wanted the sandwich made the way he wanted it or his money back. The manager owner told him that he WILL NOT make another sandwich and he WILL NOT give back our money. He then said to "get out or he will call the police!" My husband told him to go ahead and call the police. The manager/owner took the sandwich and threw it in the trash and told him to get out, he was calling the police. By this time I will say that my husband was upset and using bad language. So after yelling each other back and forth, my husband reiterated that he would not leave until he got the sandwich he wanted or his money back. The manager/owner went to the garbage can and pulled out the sandwich he threw in there that he originally made to give to my husband. My husband told him, "I know you aren't going to give me a sandwich that has been sitting in the garbage!" Finally, then the owner/manager went to the cash register and gave my husband the money back. He told my husband to never came back into his restaurant again, ever!
This manager/owner had the worst attitude I have ever experienced. As soon as you walk into his restaurant, it feels like all of the air has been sucked out of the room. My husband and I are both senior citizens and disabled. We have enjoyed Subway sandwich ever since they opened many, many years ago.
I have always been told that Subway's policy is to make your sandwich the way you want it. This guy is giving Subway a bad name. No wonder there was only one customer in there at 12:30 p.m. on Friday at lunchtime.
We were so livid that as soon as we got home we called Subway's "1-800" number and told them about the complaint and we were told that someone would contact us within 48 hours. We haven't heard anything back yet.
I am sure that the owner/manager is going to make excuses or out and out lie about this. All I know is that I am telling the whole truth, so help my God.
Even with your bs new promotion your products are over priced...
Corporate needs to get their heads out of the clouds and pay attention to the customers, not some lame brain marketing group.
We made a special trip to a local SubWay only to get screwed into only being able to choose from 4 sandwiches, non of which were to our liking. Your promotion department is not doing your company any good limiting customers to only 4 different sandwiches. Who was the brain child that came up with that lame brain deal? People go to your stores to make a choice of what they want not what you want them to have. Adding insult to injury, your sandwiches are over priced and present no value compared to the market place.
What happened to the Week End after 4PM and All Day Sunday Special of any sub for $5, even then they are over priced, but at least it was an offer recognizing the real value was at the lower price.
SubWay corporate has gotten really greedy and it's going to effect the bottom line. Maybe when the public stops wasting their hard earned money in your store you'll get the message, we deserve lower prices everyday on all the sandwiches not just 4 you think we would like...

When it comes to Subway, I often wonder just how much more they can shrink the bread down. Yeah, it's 12 inches long... a "footlong" as advertised...BUT in 25 years of eating there, I watched their subs go from fireplace log sized sandwiches which were a challenge to eat...down to what looks like a stuffed baguette. If that alone is not bad enough, "generous" is the absolute last word I'd used to describe how they are with the toppings. I can't figure out why a minimum wage earning "sandwich artist" would be stingy with the toppings. Then they have the audacity to put out a tip jar. Lastly, I'd like to admit that I'm a complete [censor]...because I still eat at Subway from time to time. No, this is not a localized problem...the entire chain suffers from poor quality and greatly reduced portions.
I chipped my tooth on a bone I found in my sub
At around 6pm I got a Philly cheese steak foot long at the location on Goshen Rd Fort Wayne IN I ate the first half when I got home and took a few bites out of the second half when I was biting down on a bite I chipped my tooth on a piece of bone in the sub! I took pictures and a video of the bone I found. I spit the food out I couldn't find the piece/pieces of my tooth in all the bread and/or vegetables or meat or I would of taken pictures of that too. (Won't let me post video for some reason tried 3 times)

Hi,
I have ordered a pick up for veggie delite against order# 68DE63B7-BB on 01/29/2018. But when I started eating it, I found meat in it (chicken and some red meat). I am a strict vegetarian and never ate any meat. Because of you guys, I have to sleep empty stomach. Please educate your staff to read instruction on order carefully.
Thanks,

customer service
My husband & I are frequent customers at the Subway in Dawson & most the time they're alright. Today how ever the girl that was working was extremely rude! As a manger myself this is a big no no. I would not tolerate this from one of my employees. Not only was she rude there is never more than one employee working there. Honestly if Subway wasn't the only choice we had in town we would quit eating there!
marketing of your product through cashstar.com
In Dec., prior to Xmas, I decided to purchase for my wife a $50.00 e-giftcard. It carried with it an additional $10.00 e-giftcard. It was downloaded to my Wife's cell phone (both of the and she has an Apple 6). Tried to use the card in Laughlin NV during New Year's and could not.
Called 1-844. 208-0166 for help and thought I could go to my local Subway #20884-0 Peoria AZ and use it. Tried unsuccessfully 2 times. Nothing like having a customer behind you telling the Server he was in a rush and did not appreciate me having a problem.
In frustration and after having spent hours on this problem, I called and set up an appointment with the Store Manager (Katie). She had never seen the promotion I had purchased. She spent at least 30 minutes with me and we could not find out how I was going to redeem the $50.00 purchase I had made. I took in the confirmation and all the details I printed from this purchase. (Order # CND7U6PUMM). Her suggestion was to call back to 844.208-0166 which I did earlier today. I spoke with Stephen (not sure of spelling - ask for his employee # and he said he did not have one)
The end of this horror story is he said I would receive my $50.00 back.
Also informed me the program I paid for had to sandwiches ordered @ a Subway of my choosing "on line". Have never done this and do not plan on doing so.
Stephen suggested I should have read the fine print. Now I find out Cashstar is not even a part of Subway but a Marketing Firm.
My suggestion is that anyone purchasing this program have a PhD in computer science or forget it. The other thing for a Manager at a well establish Subway Store not to know what programs are out there, you might be getting a little too greedy. I for one wasted a lot of my time and did not enjoy doing it. Regards Norm Richter.
prices
I go to a subway inside a walmart store in Omaha, Nebraska. I went today and was hungry for a salad. The clerk made my salad like I wanted. It was a roasted chicken with Colby/jack shredded cheese and ranch dressing. I also bought a bag of chips and 2 chocolate chip cookies. It came up to $11.00. I think that is too much for my meal. I will return to the store, because there isn't any other place to eat around there, but will not get a salad. They used to cost the price of a six inch sub.

managers attitude towards an employee
On January 16 I walked in to the Subway located at Main St.in Oneonta NY to order a sub with a friend of mine. What I walked into was an employee so upset she was in tears because her manager was literally screaming at her in the most obscene way and if it were me I wouldve left immediately. Whats worse is the young woman was apparently being yelled at for the managers actions. From what I caught of the whole situation was that the manager accused the yoyng woman of having someone in the back with her at some point but from what I heard the manager had forgotten that it was him in the back earlier that day and that after checking the cameras he realized this and still persisted to yell and scream at her as if she had done something wrong. The girl was telling him this the whole time pleading with him and even though he admitted in front of everyone it was him he still went off on her. I recognized the manager from somewhere in the past but it didnt occur to me at the time where I knew him from. It wasnt til later in the day I remembered him from the county jail where I used to work part time as a maintenance man. The manager it turns out is a serious drug addict whos had plenty of run ins with the law in the past and from what I seen yesterday he is probably still using drugs at a rate that would kill most people and he looked ill as if he were but that in itself is not my complaint. His attitude towards an innocent young woman is why im writing this and I kbow that if his superiors kbew what was going on really that this man wouldnt be around long enough to herass anymore innocent emoloyees.
service and food
On 12/29/17, Lizzie, our server, told my husband that they didn't have any more Herb and Cheese bread and they didn't intend to make any more. This was at 6:11 p.m. so this doesn't sound accurate. I ordered a salad and the server acted liked it killed her to wait on me. Actually she kept passing us up at least two to three times and served others. She acted like it killed her to wait on us. We haven't returned since the incident. We are at Subway sometimes twice a week. When Chris was the manager, the service and food was great. Since he has left it has gone downhill. I know that his new job didn't work out. You should try to get him back. the location is 1520 E. Hwy. 372, Pahrump, Nevada 89048.
service complaint and subway card declined
Last night I went to the Subway #37166, located in the Sturbridge MA Wal-Mart. There was a customer ahead of me who kept adding/changing his order and I patiently stood there at least 20 minutes. When his order was almost complete, another associate came out from the side room looked at me and returned to the room. When it was my turn, I ordered my grinder then asked the associate why did he not ask the other person to come out and assist me. He mumbled something that I could not understand. I then tried to pay with my Subway card as I have more than enough points and my card was declined so I paid for the grinder. As I was leaving, two other customers arrived and the other associate came out from the side room and both waited on the customers. I don't usually post complaints but this
is very poor customer service and it should be rectified. No person should have to wait 20 minutes for one grinder especially when there is adequate staff on hand.
store not opened
I love Subway and am a loyal customer but this morning Wednesday, January 10, I was so disappointed with my neighborhood store. I was met with total darkness when I pulled up to order my breakfast sandwich at 8:00 am.
My entire day has been shot. I had to settle for a Holiday Breakfast sandwich which sucks!
