I was at the Self-Check-Out attempting to purchase a bottle of Moroccan Olive Oil, which was displayed as on sale, but the Scanner didn’t show the sale price. I asked the Associate to correct the price. He stated that he could not. I asked him if I got the display price if he would correct it and he just looked at me. I went and retrieved the Sale Display Sticker (and a bottle of Tunisian Olive Oil as a backup if the Moroccan was not on sale), but he admonished me, stating that I should not have brought the Sale Display Sticker because it could have been from any product. I asked him to check for himself and we walked to the Moroccan Olive Oil where he determined that the Sale Price not registering was a Corporate issue. We walked back to the Self-Check-Out, where he corrected the price. I also purchased a Buy One-Get One Free bag of Romaine Lettuce which did not initially register and he stated that it was because the sale was a Buy Two-Get One Free sale. I advised him that the display did not show that. He stated that he memorized the sale. I asked him to check and then he stated that it was a Buy One-Get One Free, but the register had not gotten to the price adjustment yet. After the register did correct and I completed my purchases, he apologized.
I am complaining because the Associate spoke to me with a demeaning tone and words. I advised him that I would not shop at Stop and Shop in the future and I would contact Corporate to inform them of the Sale Display to Scanner price difference.
