Terrible Customer Service. asked this office to cancel my auto policy and, the following day, emailed to move the end date three days later so it would line up with my new carrier's start date. I got a written reply confirming the change had been made.
It was made on one of my two policies and not the other. The wrong termination date went to the DMV, which recorded a lapse in coverage that never happened — I had continuous insurance the entire time.
When I flagged it, I was told in writing that a corrected form would be filed with the DMV. It wasn't. Three weeks later the DMV revoked my registrations and assessed penalties on two vehicles. When I followed up, I was told the fault was mine.
Two written commitments, neither completed, and no warning that anything had gone wrong until after the penalties hit.
Recommendation: Do not use Chuck Tickle, if you must use State Farm, find a different agent. But overall, SF has gone downhill. Go with another carrier.
