I have been a State Farm customer for many years. I filed a claim due to hail damage on April 18, 2025. I had a contractor come to my home and verify the hail damage. State Farm sent an inspector out and the contractor walked with him on the roof and pointed out the damage. State Farm claims verified hail damage on a metal shed and also on the metal chimney tops all over the roof, but denied that the damage to the roof was caused by hail and denied the roof part of the hail damage claim. I contacted them again for a reinspection, and also sent in numerous pictures of the damage.
The claims department did not even send out an inspector and again denied the claim.
I have pointed out a couple of things that don't make sense;
The hail damage on the roof is on the South facing roof, but the north facing roof does not show any of this damage. Claims states this is normal wear and tear.
Secondly, how is it possible to have damage on all the metal caps, and to a metal shed, but not on the roof?
Claimed loss: 5/30/2024
Desired outcome: Pay for roof replacement per policy
