They have codes for specials. I used one for 4 orders of 1.99 jumbo popcorn chicken. They only let you use it on the buffalo or honey flavor not the original.
It is sooo nasty. It makes the chicken soggy and a slightly sweet mild hot. It is really disgusting. Had to throw them in the trash. Tried wiping it off and rinsing it off and nothing worked.
Also got the 1.99 cheesecake Oreo shake. I love their Oreo shakes. This shake was also nasty. At the bottom was a glob of fake imitation cheesecake that had a strong citrusy taste.
If your going to give specials don't push that crap on everyone. Let them choose the original as well. It's not always about how many different items you can squeeze on your menu but about how good they actually are. You force people to get only the loser new stuff and they might not come back. You couldn't even kill the taste with ranch.
It's been 3 years since I visited a sonic and I Won't be going back ever.
