Sonic Drive-In review: Drive through food service

I placed an order through the Sonic App for pick up. The total was $48.75. I sent my adult child to pick up the order. When he arrived he was told the icecream machine was not working but they could not refund the portion of the bill for the icecream which was $20.46 plus tax. After waiting for more than 20 minutes for the remainder of the order my son was told they could not give him the order unless I came with the phone the order was placed on. I called the corporate office for assistance. Corporate told me they could issue a $10 gift card plus a coupon. I told the corporate representative that would not cover the $20.46 plus tax charged to my card for the ice cream. The corporate representative then said she could process a full refund but my son could not have any of the food ordered. I called my son on my husband's phone and confirmed he had not received the food. I was then told I would receive a refund in 7 to 10 days. It didn't take 7 to 10 days to take the money from my debit card and it shouldn't take that long to put it back! I was given an incident number of [protected] and told to call back if my refund didn't appear within 7 to 10 days. Ridiculous! I am appalled!
