When I retired, my company graciously gave me the phone and number. For the last 3 weeks, I have been working with Roger's to unlock my phone. I have been on the phone for between 4 - 6 hours with 10 agents all telling me different versions of the work I need to do to get the phone unlocked. I have done it all and my poor company has been in the trenches with me. I see this tactic of barriers to waste both the company and my time as a way for Roger's to hang onto business. Just based on principle, the hoops I have jumped through to unlock this phone, I will not stay with Rogers and will do whatever is necessary to move my business elsewhere.
Claimed loss: My billable hours as a contractor $500.00. Time away from my business, 6 hours for $3000.
Desired outcome: 1) Phone unlocked2) No charge for the phone to be unlocked either to the company or myself.3) Reimbursement for the hours spent on the phone with Rogers to unlock my phone.
