Regal Princess departing 8/13 Southhampton. Negligence occurred at the Inverness Scotland port. The excursion we purchased from Princess Cruises included 4 stops (boat ride looking for Loch Ness, Castle, lunch, battlefield). We drove 2 hours to the dock. The tour guide screwed up the departure time (I have her admitting that on video) and left 10 of us on the dock. 25% of her group. Isolated dock, in the middle of nowhere, no buildings, no cell service, no WIFI, no tour guide, no princess rep. Total shock, confusion and Utter PANIC. We eventually 'rescued' and reunited with our group within 2 hours. However, that was 2 hours of panic. I was terrified. We also did not have passports as we were told to leave them on the ship. I issued a FORMAL complaint to Princess. The responded that they were sorry however they had Nothing to do with the Tour that we purchased on their website, received confirmation from their email, tickets were on Princess letterhead, the excursion desk on the ship was manned by Princess personnel in Princess uniforms. Their communication indicates that they encourage purchasing "OUR excursions on deck 5 forward''. Their lack of concern and accountability is not ok. This ruined the cruise for me and all future cruises and excursions. I am terrified this will happen again. I am so disappointed in Princess Cruises
Claimed loss: We are seeking a refund for the absolutely ruined cruise and all of the excursions which took place after the incident. We would also like a letter of apology
Desired outcome: Compensation as noted above due to the extreme mental and physical distress that took place due to the above noted gross negligence.
