CruiseCritic Review of CruiseCritic: A Comprehensive Cruise Resource

Hey guys, so I stumbled upon CruiseCritic and gotta say, it's a pretty awesome website! I mean, if you wanna get some cruise-related info, this is THE place. Plus, it's super helpful if you wanna hook up with other cruisers who are down for some fun and reasonably priced shore excursions!

Tho, gotta be honest, lately it's been turning into a total playground for random stories and dramz. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love me some good anecdotes, but sometimes they ain't even related to cruising! And it's kinda tough to find the useful stuff when you gotta sift through all the chit-chat.

Anyway, I still gotta give some credit where credit's due. CruiseCritic was super clutch back in the day...back when it was easier to navigate and actually use to make arrangements and whatnot. But, hey, everything's gotta come to an end, right? It's been real, CruiseCritic!

CruiseCritic Beware of Deluxe Cruises and Steve Porter - Shady Booking Tactics and Cheating Out of $4000!

I recently had a less than stellar experience with Deluxe Cruises and their representative, Steve Porter. Let's just say I wouldn't be calling him a "deluxe" anything. While researching my upcoming cruise on CruiseCritic, I came across Mr. Porter's information and reached out for booking assistance.

To my dismay, after paying a hefty amount for the cruise and additional pre and post cruise accommodations, I found out from the cruise line itself that Mr. Porter had tacked on those expenses to our already pricey cruise fare. And get this - he asked for payment via direct wire transfer to his personal account instead of going through the cruise line's official channels. Talk about shadiness!

After providing proof of the shady dealings to the cruise line, I was left feeling frustrated and cheated out of over $4000. No one wants to deal with the headache of being taken advantage of, but unfortunately it seems these types of crooks still exist in the travel industry.

My recommendation? Stay away from Deluxe Cruises and its "representatives." Do your research and book directly with the cruise line or a reputable travel agent. Don't make the same mistake I did and fall for the slick marketing tactics of these scammers.

CruiseCritic Disappointing Moderation and Customer Service: My Experience with CruiseCritic

So, let me tell you about my experience with CruiseCritic. It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, let me tell you that.

My wife and I had booked a whale watching tour as part of our cruise itinerary. We were looking forward to it for weeks. But then something happened that completely ruined the experience for us. A group of red hat wearing loudmouths decided to pick a fight with one of the crew members just because he voiced an objection to their maga hats. It was a shameful display of disrespect.

We posted about our experience on CruiseCritic, hoping to share our thoughts with fellow cruisers. But boy, did that backfire. We were shut down by the moderator because someone complained about our post. And let me tell you, that felt totally unfair. We reached out to the folks at CruiseCritic about it, but they wouldn't even respond to our communications.

It was such a disappointing experience that we decided to cancel our cruise altogether. We couldn't coordinate with other passengers on the tours because of the communication breakdown.

So, if you're planning on using CruiseCritic, beware of the heavy-handed moderation and lack of responsiveness from their customer service. It's not all smooth sailing, if you catch my drift.

CruiseCritic CruiseCritic Review: Affordable Luxury & Unbeatable Fun!

Yo, so like, if you're trying to book a cruise, let me tell you about my experience with CruiseCritic. First off, yeah, it can be kinda pricey, but my crew and I have gone on five cruises with them and have another one booked, so you know they're doing something right! We've had a blast on all of them, except for one where the grub was a little subpar compared to the others.

One thing I really appreciate with them is the crew. They're all young college students or post-grads and they speak English super well. They're also always down to help and accommodate any specific needs we might have, which is clutch. And if you do have particular food preferences, let 'em know in advance and they'll hook you up.

Now, I gotta say, one of the cruises did have a couple of kiddos on board but they were well-behaved so it didn't bug us too much. The rest of the crew was mostly, uh, let's say, seasoned, but that's cool with us.

Now, I know some folks might balk at the price tag, but honestly, I don't think that should be the main factor when deciding on a review. Tbh, all the onboard entertainment we've seen has been rad and kept us all entertained. So take my advice, and don't miss out on an amazing time with CruiseCritic!

CruiseCritic Review: Uniworld Budapest to Amsterdam Cruise - A Mixed Experience with CruiseCritic as the Lifesaver

So I gotta tell you guys about my experience with CruiseCritic (cruisecritic.com). I was trying to plan a trip with my friends and found this site and let me tell you, it was a lifesaver. We ended up booking a Uniworld cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam and it was a blast.

Our adventure started off with a flight to Amsterdam on 8-29-22 where we caught another flight to Budapest. Unfortunately, the water was low so we had to stay in a hotel for a night before we could board the boat. But it all worked out because the hotel was so beautiful and comfy.

When we finally got on the boat, it was everything we hoped for and more. The staff was amazing and we felt like royalty the whole time we were on the cruise. The only downside was when we hit a spot where we couldn't move for a day and a half. We ended up in a town called Passau for about five days, which was actually kinda nice. They took us on bus tours to a few different cities which was fun, but it wasn't quite the all-inclusive river cruise we were expecting.

Things took a bit of a turn when we got to Frankfurt. We were put up in the Sheraton, which was definitely not a 5-star hotel. If that wasn't bad enough, we ended up at the Hilton in Amsterdam, which was no better. We tried to get some kind of compensation for the bus tour we didn't sign up for, but Uniworld said they met their obligations.

All in all, I'd say that Uniworld was just okay. There are definitely other river cruises out there that are all-inclusive and don't leave you feeling like you got ripped off. But, regardless of the hiccups, CruiseCritic made planning the trip a breeze. I'd definitely use them again.

CruiseCritic Cruise Critic: Shady Business Practices and Bias in Cruise Reviews

Listen up, fellow cruising enthusiasts! I gotta get somethin' off my chest about CruiseCritic.com. So, I'm retired and I ain't got no business or website or nothin'. But I posted about this freakin' awesome website called cruisetruth.com that I thought all of y'all would appreciate. It's got some real good info about the cruise industry that I thought would benefit my fellow cruisers. But then, Cruise Critic sent me a message saying they were takin' my post down. What gives, man?

I mean, I get it. Cruise Critic advertises cruise deals and stuff, so I guess they don't like anyone else takin' the spotlight away from 'em. But it's just not fair, you know? Why can't we all help each other out and spread some knowledge about the cruise industry?

Plus, I gotta wonder if Cruise Critic is makin' some coin from the cruise lines they advertise. Are they gettin' kickbacks or somethin'? Or are the cruise lines just gettin' some free advertising from 'em? Either way, it seems kinda shady to me.

And let's talk about bias. If anyone tries to recommend other websites that might help fellow cruisers make an informed decision about which cruise line to book, Cruise Critic don't wanna hear it. They want you to book through them, even if it might not be the best option.

So, my message to all of you cruisers out there is this: take everything you see on Cruise Critic with a grain of salt. They ain't exactly impartial when it comes to pushin' certain cruise lines over others. It's up to you to do your own research and find the best deal for you. Don't let Cruise Critic tell you what to do!

CruiseCritic Cruise Critic Review: Biased Moderation and Dishonesty - Find a Better Source for Your Cruise Research

So, you're planning a cruise and want to do some research before booking. You might be tempted to check out Cruise Critic, as it's one of the most popular cruise websites out there. But let me tell you, as an experienced cruiser, it might not be the best source of reliable information.

I recently posted a question in their forum and to my surprise, received a bunch of lies from fellow cruisers. It was frustrating enough, but then the topic was heavily moderated and eventually deleted once someone did provide an honest answer. What's the point of having a forum if you can't share honest opinions?

And speaking of moderators, they seem to be extremely biased on Cruise Critic. Other reviewers have pointed out the same thing, so it's not just me. It's not really fair to the users, is it? I would suggest that you try other sources for your research, where you can get genuine answers.

To be frank, it seems like Cruise Critic is all about making money for travel agents. That's not inherently a bad thing, but when it leads to dishonesty and unfairness, it's a major problem. I'm sure there are trustworthy agents out there, but places like this give the whole industry a bad name.

In fact, seeing how some of these travel agents operate, I'm not sure I even want to use one at all. I'd rather navigate the whole process myself. And honestly, it's disappointing to see how some sites are like modern-day snake oil salesmen, more interested in making a quick buck than providing honest and objective information to their users.

CruiseCritic Unfair Moderation: My Experience with CruiseCritic

Alright, so here's the deal with CruiseCritic (cruisecritic.com). Some folks have their favorite cruise lines, and that's cool. I totally have my own biases too. But here's the thing - there are some moderators who are way too into certain posters and they'll straight up remove any challenges that come their way. It's totally messed up!

There was this one dude who was talking trash about the "Tea Service" on one of the Oceania ships (which, BTW, I've been on a few times and it's freakin' ballin'). So I was like, "Uh, you can't even spell 'Mille-feuille' right, so how can I take you seriously?" Like, that seems like a pretty reasonable response, right? Well, this mod named Michell (idk if it's a boy or girl) wasn't having it and I wound up getting banned from the site for a whole week. Not cool, man.

And it's not just me - there are plenty of others who have run-ins with Michell and feel like they're not able to express their opinions in a fair way. I've had nasty remarks made about me that have been allowed to stay up on the site, even when I've asked for them to be taken down. It seems like these moderators are always looking out for their friends and will protect them at all costs.

Honestly, I'm pretty fed up with the whole thing. There are other sites out there that don't treat their users like garbage, and I'm gonna start hangin' out on those instead. But, like, y'all should know what you're getting into if you decide to give CruiseCritic a try. Just remember - freedom of opinion is key, and these guys might not be the best at respecting that.

CruiseCritic Cruisecritic.com: Unreliable and Suspect in Misleading Customers?

Alright, fam, let me give you the low-down on cruisecritic.com. Personally, I wouldn't rely on them too much. Here's the deal: I spent hours writing a super detailed review for Star Clippers, a cruise that I had worked my butt off to research and get ready for. I was sooo excited to share all my hard work with the world!

But then, Star Clippers went and overbooked their second cruise in 20 months. And the thing is, they tried to use me not having proof of a PCR test as an excuse, even though they did an antigenic Covid test at the actual dock. Like, what?! And to add salt to the wound, Star Clippers "required" this first test (which isn't totally in line with the EU or other cruise lines). But they only mentioned this in teeny tiny font buried in one of three long attachments sent by email.

Anyway, cruisecritic wouldn't upload my review to their site, even though I had already paid $4,000 for this cruise and had spent months talking to the company by phone and email. Apparently, since I hadn't actually sailed on the Star Clipper, it didn't count. Which is bull if you ask me.

So, long story short, I was stuck in France for 12 days and had to shell out another $4,000 to fix everything (which the cruise was supposed to cover). I ended up flying to Corsica, only to find out that the company gave me the wrong port of call and I couldn't join the ship. And then I had to pay for hotels and food that had already been paid for with the cruise. Talk about a nightmare!

I can't prove it, but something seems sketchy here. Like, is cruisecritic.com in cahoots with Star Clippers or something? It just doesn't make sense that they wouldn't let me share my experience, you know?

Anyway, now I get why I get bombarded with cruise offers from cruisecritic.com every week. They're getting paid by the cruise lines to find more customers. So, it's not a shocker that they wouldn't want to do anything to upset the people that pay their bills.

CruiseCritic CruiseCritic Review: The Ultimate Guide to All Things Cruising

So, listen up, fellow cruisers! I gotta tell ya, I recently had an experience with CruiseCritic (cruisecritic.com) and it had me all kinds of riled up. Lemme break it down for ya.

Basically, my travel agency sold me and my partner a bomb-[censored] cruise and told us it came with an all-inclusive beverage package. We were stoked, you know? We thought we were gonna be swimming in free drinks and living it up! But when we finished the cruise, we got hit with another $82 per person in additional tips from NCL. WTH?!

Now, I was mad as a hornet, but I remembered hearing about CruiseCritic from a friend and decided to give it a check-out. And let me tell ya, it was a real lifesaver.

First off, the website is super user-friendly. It's got tons of reviews from real people -- and I mean, these aren't your fakey-fake reviews from bots or anything. They're from actual peeps who have cruised and want to share their thoughts with others. So, right off the bat, I know I'm getting the real scoop.

But the best thing? The forums. Oh man, the forums. I'm talking about a treasure trove of info from folks around the world who have sailed the seven seas and wanna help other cruisers out. And lemme tell ya, these folks ain't holding back. They're giving you all the details -- good, bad, and ugly. Plus, it's a great way to connect with other cruisers and make some friends.

Overall, I gotta say, CruiseCritic is legit. They're not afraid to give you the tea on a cruise line or travel agency, and they're really about helping their fellow cruisers. Sure, there's still a lot of work to do in this industry, but at least we have CruiseCritic to help guide us. And hey, a few tips and tricks could save you a lot of headache -- and cash -- in the long run. So get on there and start chattin'!

CruiseCritic Cruise Critic: A Sea of Info for Cruise Enthusiasts

So, I checked out CruiseCritic.com to see if it's worth spending some time on. And let me tell you, this website has boat loads of info on all things cruise-related!

The best thing about Cruise Critic is the community. It's like you have a big group of friends who love cruising, and they're all ready to spill the beans on secrets about the ships, destinations, and even insider deals. I'm talking food, entertainment, excursions, cabin types, you name it!

Now, here's the thing: the website can be a bit tricky to navigate. Don't get me wrong, it's not like trying to find the key to the captain's quarters or anything. But there is just so much information that sometimes I felt like I was swimming in a sea of links and articles. It would be helpful if they could organize it a little better, or maybe have a quick guide for newbies to follow.

But overall, if you're a cruise enthusiast (or even just curious), Cruise Critic is definitely worth checking out. You'll find plenty of great tips and advice, as well as friendly chatter from fellow cruisers. Just don't get lost in all the options, or else you might end up booking a cruise to Antarctica by mistake! (Okay, maybe that wouldn't be so bad after all.)

CruiseCritic CruiseCritic: A Dubious Resource for Cruise Reviews and Discussion

So I recently checked out this website called CruiseCritic and I gotta say, I'm not impressed. Like, yeah, it's cool that they have forums and stuff where you can talk about cruising with other people, but apparently they get paid by the cruise lines to control what's being said on there. And if someone starts saying something that's too true or too negative, they'll just shut down the whole board. So much for free speech, am I right?

I mean, it's one thing to have a website where people can review and discuss cruises, but when you're getting paid by the companies you're reviewing, that seems a little dodgy. And it's super sketchy that they're willing to just shut down conversations that might be damaging to the cruise lines' reputation. I get that they're probably trying to avoid getting sued or something, but still.

Honestly, the whole thing just seems kind of shady to me. I wouldn't be surprised if CruiseCritic ends up getting sued one of these days for censorship or something. And if that happens, I'll definitely be popping some popcorn and watching the drama unfold.

But hey, maybe I'm just being overly cynical. Maybe CruiseCritic really is a great resource for people who love cruising. I guess if you're looking for advice or recommendations, it's worth checking out. Just don't expect to be able to say whatever you want without getting silenced by the cruise companies.
