Unsatisfactory Experience at Planet Fitness: Overcharged and Misled
I had a pretty frustrating experience at Planet Fitness. When I went to the service counter, I spoke to a young white girl (I think she was the youngest one there). I told her that I had been overcharged for my annual fee of $39 and my monthly fee of $22. I thought that was way too much, so I told her I wanted to cancel my membership.
She said that was fine and that she could give me a refund for both fees. I handed over my black membership card and cancelled everything. Then I asked her for a receipt or some kind of paperwork, but she said they don't give out any documents and that I shouldn't worry about it. She told me I would get the refund after I stopped coming to the gym.
But then I found out that they were offering memberships for free or for $10, and yet they charged me $39. That really made me angry.
Then the pandemic hit and the gym had to close. I wrote to them a few times on their website asking about my refund, but I never got a reply. When I called a few days ago, someone transferred me to another person who told me about their policies. But I don't care about their policies! I just want my money back!
Now I feel like I've been misled and robbed of my hard-earned money. The girl at the service counter told me one thing, but now the gym is saying something different. I want justice! They need to refund my money or extend my membership without charging me high amounts. I'm willing to use the service, but I don't want to be ripped off.
Another thing that bothered me was that the massage beds were often out of order and the chairs weren't working properly. I never complained about those things, but now they're talking about their policies. It's just not fair.
If I don't get the justice I deserve, I'm going to take to social media and write to the corporate office at 4 Liberty Ln W, Hampton, NH ***. I'm also going to write to the BBB. They need to know what's going on.

He said I was being cancelled because I video taped the situation, see the video for yourself, christopher seemed to believe I needed to be cancelled for a legitimate concern that I was requesting a way to make a suggestion to the current situation with bike placement, after questioning and asking he told me to leave the premises, when the gym was opened the bikes were placed for easy viewing of the tvs, not so now, when I moved one bike back to see the tvs he told me I couldnt and that there was a need to handicap access, you can see in my video that his explanation is not consistent with the placement of the other bikes and equipment, christopher was not polite, nor helpful

i have been working out at planet fitness on moss street for over a year, this manager is new to this facility, i have never seen him at the previous location, nor have i ever had any problems at any gym i have been a member at for 40 years and as a 60 yr old man, someone who works out 5-7x a week, i am the kind of member that brings a level of maturity and experience to the gym and its family, its highly disappointing that this event would be the reason behind cancelling my membership, i believe there is definitely a better way to resolve the situation other than punishing me
customer service by this employee, manager christopher, was not to any legitimate standard, i was never given any chance, when i asked for the number or contact to his current superior or a number to the corporate office i was told he wouldnt give me the name of his supervisor and he gave me a bogus number to call, i have the card he wrote the number on, the number he gave was [protected], call it and see who answers, if you want a picture of his card with his hand writing and number i would be happy to provide it as well

as you can see my inquiry was polite and not confrontational, i had already moved the bike back to where he wanted it, i rode the bike for 20 minutes then went to ask for an avenue to make a suggestion where and then i was met by christophers order to leave the premises, i quietly left and am now making this document to show and provide the details and add transparency to the situation, there are no signs posted at the facility saying i could not video, nor was i given any warning or attempt by christopher to work on a civil remedy to the situation

Planet fitness makes it stupid hard to cancel your membership ship. Then they lie to you and say it’s for legal reasons that they have to have a physical paper document. Stop! We know you’re lying. Now that I know all the work it takes to get out of this simple contract I will never! Never sign up for planet fitness again. Even if it’s right next to my house. Desired outcome: Change your policy. Make cancellations of service as simple as possible. Instead of being so clingy. Stop lying to customers. You legally have to have a piece of paper? Whatever.

Midlands liberty mall... I joined pf as of 01dec2023... R99 for 6months black friday special. You can cancel after 6months free of charge as per message to me. Spoke to the pf representative faraaz in nov2022 (I still have the proof on my phone) so this contract ended 31may2023. As of 01june2023 I was charged r648 via d/o off my bank account. 05june2023 I phoned pf, spoke to the manager owen zuma who said that he could not help me. I can come collect a copy of the contract that was signed. Although faraaz mentioned free cancellation after 6months via msg, pf can't help me because that is not the deal. I will be charged r648 monthly going forward. If I want to cancel, I must give them 4months notice, and in the meantime, i'll be paying r648 for the next 4 months for nothing. This is so ridiculous that someone is not held accountable for this service. So anyone can work for and represent pf and lie to the public and the customer has to bear the brunt.

Accident at planet fitness downtown milwauke
on Saturday morning 4-1-23 I fell getting out the shower. The shower floor was wet, not leveled, and there were no visible signs of floor. I called the following day Sunday 4-2-23, and the customer service rep communicated to me that there were a few staff at work, and one person had to remain at the front desk always, and the other staff had to make rounds, customer service rep also communicated to writer that the downtown location is going to get remodeled in sept 2023 and the shower area in the womans bathroom is a huge concern.
To date I have not heard anything from management, and I have been to the doctor, and since then I had to medical pay bills, I am requesting reimbursement, I will also begin therapy.
Again, to date, no communication at all from management.

Pride promotion
I was floored when I seen Pride materials at local PF. Why are you getting political, and about such a charged subject. I do not see promotions about Veteran suicide, Camp Hope, Christians, Veterans, etc. there are many more of these groups than being woke with pride. Many major companies have gone woke and are no longer in business. Without being rude I would say only idiots would blow off a majority of their customers by ruining their business for stock holders and franchise stores.
