Bad service and employees lack of knowledge
I went to pep clothing at keywest mall as there was something I wanted to purchase, I had I voucher that I received from a competiton of plusmore. The cashier just told me she doesn't know how to redeem it, I must contact their customer care line. Called their supervisor who also said the same thing to me. I also work at a retail store and if there is something I don't understand I call my head office to get clarity so that my customer leave the store happy and satisfied. I feel they failed me

I just cannot sleep without praising your staff member from Pep home in Rosebank. During the day today I went to buy a home connect cellc sim card, everything was fine I went home, and when I start inserting the sim, it gave the error message of no sim. After a few tries with no win I decided to go to Cell hoping to get a sim swap but I didn't win and they sent me to go back to pep. I went there and found the lady, I think her name is Jabulile. I explained to her my problem she was patient with me asking the relavant questions and to cut the long story short she called the cellc call Centre, exchange was done and I was given a new working sim card. I would like to say to Jabulile,thank you so much. It is because of people like who makes our country beautiful. Thank you so much

There is someone called kamu working at pep cell at jabulane in soweto. I am sure she is one of the reasons why pep store in naledi was shut down because she has a very poor customer service and no regard for people who walk in there to spend their money which goes towards paying their salary. She needs to be taught some respect and appreciation for customers. I was there other day when she sent me to shoprite for sim purchase and said i must come back so she could do [rica] for me. I could not get any help as they said they could not help either. Went i went back to pep cell she said i must produce my id and proof of address which i did previously. I was suprised when she said it was not certified but she accepted it like that before when i bought a telkom sim card, i indicated to her that she was wasting my time and she started to get annoyed and said [next customer] as i was still first in the queue/waiting line. She needs to be taught some ubuntu and she also has to be shown how to conduct herself in front of customers. She is very rude and unprofessional. I have put all this on all social media platforms for everyone to see. I wonder who place these people at pep stores because i was even served by another called nthabiseng at the same store. She has no smile on her face and looked bothered when i bought (spent) some voucher.
Angry and disappointed in pep store manager and staff
I work in the mall of chatsworth center and i have a problem walking so i walked into pep stores looking for baby things for my nieces baby which will be born soon . I was going to buy the whole line of clothing for a newborn baby .
I walked in with a basket trolley as mentioned i worked in the mall as it helps me balance and told the manger i will be about 5 mins for now just to look and i will be back
point blank i was refused to be let inside and told no trolleys inside and i explained i have a problem with my leg please allow me for 5 minutes and again was refused and was told so if you have a problem with your leg walking how you working which was offensive.

On 26january 2025 I take my phone to ottosdal pep store 4 repair. Till know did not get my phone back. On 22 tuesday 2025 I went to ottosdal pep store to check my phone. I meet de manger off pep store she said to me they got feedback from repair my phone have liquid water inside I said to her my phone did not drowned in water. I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with a recent transaction at PEP Cell, located within Mams Mall. On 05 March 2023, I attempted to send R2000 to a recipient in Limpopo using the money transfer service.
The recipient contacted me, stating they received a voucher instead of the money. They were understandably upset, and I felt embarrassed and apologetic.
Unfortunately, the cashier, Katlego, sent the money to the wrong recipient. The incorrect recipient withdrew the funds in Silverston, leaving my intended recipient without the money.
When I attempted to obtain a refund, I was informed that the money had been withdrawn and that I needed to report the matter to the police station.

I bought a cell phone (Mobicel) at Pep Ghandi square last year March 2024, within 2 weeks the phone gave me a problem, i took the phone back to the store and they told me that they will book the phone and will call me back once the phone is back, the phone was still in a good condition and there were no scrathes ,didn't fell inside the water and all the accessories it came with it were all there, after a 3 weeks they called to say the phone was fixed and is now working, i asked them what was the problem and they could not tell me, within 2 weeks again the phone gave me the same problem and i took it back to the store, i was pregnant and i kept tabs on my phone but the progress was not fruitful, it was around May when they took the phone in for the second time, i kept checking on them and they would not call to give me feedback, i even went on my maternity leave in October still had no phone, after i gave birth, my daughter was very young, barely a month old, i went back to the store to enquire as i was not getting any feedback from there, they made me wait for almost 3 hours and my baby was crying non stop only to tell me that i should go home and give them 3 days to fix the matter and they will call me in 3 days, i went back to the store after 3 days and when i got there, that's when they started doing follow ups, and eventually after sometime i was given a new phone but same model same everything, just that it was a new one, i told them that i dont want that phone they were giving me cause it might give me the same problem but they insisted and told me that if it gives me the same problem then they will replace it with a different phone or give me my money back, its been almost a year since i bought that phone but i dont have it, only used it for like 4 weeks, now the same phone has given me the same problem and i took it back to the store, now they are calling me to say that the phone has been fixed and its now working, i told them that i no longer want that phone but rather a different one if they can't refund my money back, they are refusing, what should i do? please help, the phone is still with them in the store, i did not fetch it.

incorrect Pricing.
at around 14:15 I was at Pep shop no 345 Tzaneen at Joseph Costa Building. I wanted to shop the Bramley tissue oil. I checked around the store then when I finally found it I checked the prices. I found that the prices and found the 100m is priced at 34.99 then 200m (bigger value pack) is priced at 36.99. happy as I was to find the oil at such bargain price I head to pay. to my surprice when I got the the cashier scanned the item and it was 62.99. I asked the cashier to come with me to the shelf to see the price I saw. she came with me to also saw the price that I saw. she called the manager Elsie who was so rude after she was told about the price we saw. she told me to rather take the small oil or just leave it because the mistake was done previous day when the stock take was done and they forgot to fix athe prices. the name of the item was even covered with a bar code on top and she says to me the price I saw is for the shea butter. which I could not see it because not only this oil but other items were also covered on the price take obscuring us to see whats the name of the priced item. I demand the item at the price I saw because the time was now already 14:55 but the correct pricing was not yet done and the excuss was that they were doing stock taking. I have videos and pictures to post on hello peter and other social platforms for this scam. elsie also needs to learn more on how to speak to clients, she must not look down on clients and speak rude to clients. we shop at this store because is nearer to work place and this product I shop it here because is my favourite product. Pep new redruth alberton employee stole my huawei earbuds
I was at PEP store Alberton new Redruth store to purchase shoes today. When I got to the till I requested a cash back of R300. The lady gave attitude and said she doesn't have money. She called her colleague and told her to assist me.
The second lady was reluctant to assist at first. As she served me. I had a diary and earpods in my hand. When it was time to pay, I put them down and paid. Subsequent to that she took out a plastic bag and asked me if I have a R1 for plastic. I told her that I have a R20 and she said she doesn't have change. I then remembered that I have a R2. I told and she said I must bring it and gave me a R1 back. She then gave me my shoes and I left them forgetting the diary and ear pods on the counter. While I was outside wearing new shoes, a lady who was a customer knocked on the window informing me that I forgot the diary. I took it and left. When I arrive at work I realised that I forgot the ear pods and called the store.
When the lady who picked up answered. I told her that I just left store to buy shoes and I forgot my ear pods. She replied by indicating that she will ask the lady who assisted me. The lady says she did not see them meanwhile I didn't mention to whom or where did I pay. I went to the store immediately after calling the store. When I got to the store, I told her why I was there. She repeated what she said on the phone.
I then requested to see the footage. She said no I can't. I asked why, she said it's going to take 6 weeks and she still need to speak to the area. I requested the head office contact numbers. She said she doesn't know them. I requested the contact number for the area manager, she wrote in on a piece of paper and was very reluctant. I am going to open a criminal case against the three ladies cause Prudence stole my ear pods and they know it. They are covering for her. It's very sad that you employed a bunch of thieves who know nothing about integrity. And that says a lot about Pep as a company.

Few months back I visited Pep Home in Mdantsane City I had on sports gear and a small backpack so I got inside the shop the lady by the door rudely asked me to leave my bag by the parcel counter and I told her there is import belongings in my bag n scared to leave it but she forcefully asked me to leave it. I have to take out my wallet 3 phones car keys and something for the small child that I was with. I sent a package from PEP stores Jouberton Tower Mall, Klerksdorp through Paxi on the 9th September 2023
The cashier at PEP named Caroline May captured my details, scanned my id,
asked for my cell number and the receiver's cell number.
After 1week I went back to PEP at Towel Mall Jouberton, Klerksdorp, because I nor the receiver didn't receive any notification of the package I send (As they usually send sms's) none was received.
I went back maybe 8times no one can answer me, it's a paxi story up and down, but every excuse they gave me makes no sense. I complaint through they web via email, with no luck. They close every time the ticket (query).
At PEP they promised to call me numerous times and they NEVER called with any feedback.
I went in December they told me is not their problem the Manager of the branch said that and Caroline must pay me back. Caroline on the other hand said I must give her receipts of the item I send. Imagine I must still have the receipts of September 2023
