I purchased an extended warranty through maytag direct. To get ahold of a representative is a complete joke. The online chat is all automated. I have been on hold for over an hour for live agent. My washer is broke. I have scheduled through a third party as maytag has made no response to me at all. I purchased an extended warranty for what? I am now paying 300.00 for a real person to come fix. Maytag... Are you just a computer?

If Zero was an option, I would give you NO stars at all! We purchased a brand new dishwasher August 8th, 2020 at Lowe's in Sanford, FL. Switch my defective dishwasher! Yet another delay to wait for another replacement part on a BRAND NEW dishwasher we've owned for a couple of months ! Noooooooo ! This is no longer acceptable, It has been inoperable for the same amount of time we've owned! No No !
Now the dishwasher has a bad vent switch for the steam/humidity. F8/E4/E2. Error codes and I have to wait A G A I N for parts?!?! No! I better get the replacement unit this week, this is not acceptable. It is obvious we were sold a DEFECTIVE unit! Do I need to contact Better Business? Slander your company on social media to get results? We've been more than patient. It has been inoperable longer than we have owned it. We need a replacement unit or our money refunded - this is not acceptable!

I purchased this machine 2 years ago and have nothing but problems with it going out of balance. I have had the service people here many times and they have checked it and re-leveled it, tight down the nuts on the leveling feet and told me how to re-level it if it goes out of balance again. I have lost track of how many times I had to re-level it due to it going out of balance. I have has Maytag all my life and this has been one of the worst purchases I ever made. I feel they should have some type of guide rollers on the drum that help keep it balanced.

Purchased a Maytag MEDB855DC4 dryer along with a MVWB865GCO washer from Lowes on 10/10/19. On 11/17/20 the dryer stopped working. Called their Customer Experience Center and waited for an hour on hold. Finally just hung up and called an appliance technician. Technician came out two days later and told me the drive motor was burned out. Called the Maytag Customer Experience Center again and was told the drive motor was a special order and wouldn't be available until January 27th, 2021. What good is a limited warranty if the only part they warrant on a dryer takes over two months to arrive? This is a $900.00 dryer. Very disappointed in Maytag. Maytag is obviously not the same company they used to be.

Purchased washer in january of 2019. Has been worked on at least 3 times so far. Not spinning out now.. And company wants me to pay for the labor.
Don't see how that is fair after paying 600 dollars for it less than 2 years ago. I would like to have the option of replacing this model in the hopes that I could get one that is more dependable.

Purchased a full complement of maytag kitchen appliances back in 2015 at a total cost of near $4000. I have been a loyal maytag customer due to a great customer service experience that I had back in the mid-90s. Unfortunately, this latest purchase has been a total bust. At the 15 month mark, the fridge led module failed. Mind you, the incandescent bulb in my 20year old maytag fridge purchased back in the 90s has never been replaced! Fortunately, maytag did cover the cost of this repair even though it was out of the 12 month warrantee period. Next issue, dishwasher controller failed at the 19 month mark with no help from maytag-$550 parts+labor. Then, the gas range oven controller and dsi module failed at 28 months... Again no help from maytag and I was $760 lighter in my wallet. This same issue happens again at the 66 month mark... A bit more this time due to inflation $880. All said, very disappointed with maytag. Definitely riddled with quality issues with the electronics. Sadly, I will likely be shopping for commercial grade appliances soon to replace my tired maytag components. I had much higher expectations when parting with my $4000 back in 2015!

Bought mid-September 2020, Received October 27th. The next day, we connected the water to but the fridge's water valve was leaking (Manufacturer issue), unable to use the water dispenser and ice maker since. Service call been made but waiting on the parts since. Parts are taking a long time as per the repairer, unable to enjoy our new fridge to the fullest. Very disappointed in the product. Was going to buy a new range from them but will now consider purchasing from another brand.

I purchased this washer is February and it was delivered to my home in March when we closed on our brand new home. In August, I started to notice it may a loud grinding noise before it went into the spin cycle and never stopped spinning. It would just start over. This has been a nightmare. I called September 1, 2020 and a rep came the following day. Parts were order but one part was on back order. I did not know this until I contacted Maytag yo check on the status of my service request, as they sent the technician. After being on hold for and hour, I was told the part was on backorder and to call back on October 8, as the part should be available. Keep in mind, I can't use the washer, so I'm a month in. I called on October 8th and was told the part was on backorder until October 23, and I'd have to wait because I did not contact the and have the part ordered directlty through them, as if that's my role here. The part FINALLY came in, I called the repair technician the following week and they came out last week to install both parts (the part came in early). I washed a load and the washer was doing the EXACT same thing I reported September 1, 2020. I'm currently on hold and have been on hold for half an hour. TWO MONTHS! TWO Months I have to keep making these exhaustive calls because they sold me a piece of crap. The technician they keep sending doesn't have a clue. Just making a guess and meanwhile, I have to wait for him to figure it out and wait on hold to even find out what's going to happen next. This is absolutely ridiculous. I am beyond pissed. I chose a nicer washer and wish I would have chosen the cheapest smallest washer in Lowes. I've never had issues like this and been treated like I don't matter. I wish I could drive it to Maytag and dump it on top of their heads. $600.00 for this POS with the rudest customer services reps I have ever experienced IN MY LIFE. Like they gave this sh — to me. I paid my hard earned money for it and I expect it to function properly without having to purchase your bull crap extended warranty

Did this once before dont have an answer. Bought dryer end of april in September it started to over heats replaced two parts of this problem and have one to go. Have to wait for Social Security to buy the last part.I dont have 30 dollars until then. Pay me for the parts or give me a new dryer

Washer and drier both... Nothing but problems from day 1. Warranty very very questionable these machines have been apart so many times that who knows what could be wrong now. They do not honor what they service. Do not buy matag

I purchased this washer about 6-7 months ago.Early on we experienced several alarming incidents during the spin cycle, the washing machine dancing all over the washroom.We called the company scheduling a service call but the service guy never showed.These spin cycle disasters have continued.I've called back on several occasions but could never actually talk to anyone.My next move will be dumping this P.O.S. in the parking lot of the store where I bought it.

Last week our washer stopped working. After being on hold on 5 different occasions for a total of close to 6 hours, we finally got to the Safety Dept and it was determined a company covered service call was warranted. The problem is that Maytag only uses one small company in the area, and they are closing down for a wedding for over a week. Washer won't get looked at until Oct 14th at the earliest (3 weeks of waiting). Can Maytag allow a different company to provide warranty service in this unusual instance? There is a family of 6 waiting!

When I ask that question, all I was told on the phone was "You can get someone else but you'll have to pay for it."

On the online service chat I was told "You'll have to contact Safety Dept." Which we had already spent hours trying to do over the past week!

Bought this washer December 2019. The repairman has been here no less than 6 times in less than a year. Last time he informed me that every part in the washer had been replaced except for drain hose. Should work fine. Two months later it has quit. Tub just fills, time changes from 48 minutes and then 5 minutes later states it's 1 hr 42 mins. Maytag has agreed to replace. This machine no longer available. Will replace with Model #MVW7232HW. The problem is it will take 2 to 6 weeks! Lowes can have one delivered within 2 days but Maytag will only reimburse me for what I paid for the discontinued model and I would have to pay an additional $300 because they consider this a buyout and not a replacement. This is not right. I have never used a laundromat. I paid all this money for a reliable product and it's junk. After reading all the similar complaints I have to wonder if I should ditch this machine for something else. Unfortunately, I have the matching dryer. I purchased the extended warranty thru Lowes. Had this happened under their warranty instead of Maytag's I would have a new machine by now. Please reconsider your policy. I really need my washer! I have spent more time waiting on repairs than actually using the machine. Paul's Appliance did the repairs and has all documentation. They never leave any paper work with me. And Maytag should have all documentation on repairs. I am requesting to be able to purchase Machine thru Lowes and be reimbursed the difference. Not my fault washer was discontinued.

January of 2020, my daughter went to Lowe's and purchased a Maytag washing machine, model MVWC465HW2 serial # CXO732023. This machine costs us $600+. About a week ago, I tried to wash a load of
clothes and when I went back to check on them. They were dripping wet. I tried to rinse and spin them but it would not work. The only thing that the washer will do is fill and drain. It makes the sound like it is washing but nothing is moving. Same thing with the rinse and spin, sounds but no action. I called for a service call. They only had 2 repair services to choose from. I can't get an appointment until September 29th. We have 6 people in this house depending on that washer. There is no laundry anywhere near where I live. I did the diagnostics on my machine. The error code is F5E2 which is the lid lock. I could probably do the repair myself, but don't want to void my warranty. Youtube gave instructions on by-passing the lid lock, but there again, warranty issues. Can I get the part under warranty and not have to pay for it? I will never survive until the 29th with no washer. Please give me a solution. Thanks.

Dryer has had the same issue 4 times, every time it has been the mother board/control board, now Maytag is saying it was not that every time. They repaired each time, no cost. It happened again and I was told "no longer in manufacture's warranty". What makes me angry is the 1st representative told me there was a serious issue, when I asked to speak to a manager she said it hasn't been repaired that many times. I will NEVER buy another Maytag if this is the customer service I am going to receive. Growing up all I was ever told by my parents were how good Maytag was and how dependable they were... WERE is the key word.

After being 3 months late [Covid excused and forgiven] the dryer arrived and has no light inside ... I cannot find any notes that this simple feature is not included. Is this an error in production?

I spent quite a while on their website to find technical help. I followed the troubleshooting steps, but did not help. They say chat and customer service until 8pm est. I called at 7:30 est and recording said I was calling outside of service hours. No help and no chat either. I could not find an email address for customer support either.
The website seems to steer you to set up a service appointment when what I need to know is: do I need a service appointment

What are the real hours they help customers and can I talk to a real person?

I have been waiting since july 2 /2020 to get my washer repaired. My son has the same washer & his washer did the same thing & lowes just gave him a new washer after 2.5 months. I bought maytag because we have had good service out of our old washer, dryer, range, refrigerator, before we have been without a washer. I'm really upset at maytag. The guy that came to look at it said these washers are junk every one he looks at all have the same problem the drum drive unit stripes out

I bought a maytag washer four years ago. the board went bad now out of warranty so now got to pay to get it fixed cost to much for service call part and all i think with the name maytag should last a little longer then four years
