I bought this washer in 5/21. It worked fine for a few weeks then it started to make a loud clicking noise. Then it randomly stopped spinning the clothes properly. Sometimes it does and sometimes they are very wet. I reported it and Maytag sent a repairman. He said it was the shifter. He said it was a very common problem that he replaced often. So much so that the shifters are on back order for months. I purchased at Lowe's and they will not stand behind it because it is over 30 days old and I did not purchase their extended warranty. They basically washed their hands of it. What are my next steps? The washer is only 6 weeks old. Model #mvmc565fw2

The machine is less than four years old and has stopped working. It doesn't spin fast enough to dry the clothes and prepare for the dryer. We are extremely unhappy with the lack of durability of the product and the repair will be in the area of $600. I need a credit or recognition of the failure of your product. We've purchased Maytag over the years but this is totally unacceptable. Thanks Kathleen Stagg.

We have owned Maytag Washers, Dryers, Dishwashers, and Refrigerators products for well over 45 years. In the last 20 years, all of our Maytag alliances' have failed due to computer control failures.. Now our new washer (7-19/2018) has become junk due to a failure of its control board.. Odd it was just past its two year Warrantee on parts.. You sent out a Tech that said the control board is junk.. He could not even put it into a diagnostic mode! His replacement cost was left open because of that. He said he had no idea why it failed.. Now based on my cost of that washer based on how long we had it, it now cost us on average over $370.00 a year to use it with the recent repair call.. VERY SAD! Additionally, The replacement cost of just the CHEAPLY made plastic control board is $415.52 plus the labor to diagnose it and replace it.. WTF, a new replacement washer by most manufacturers is $899.00.. Well, we will not pay another $600, 00 +/- for this washers repair.. A repair that would most likely only fail again in under a few years again.. Consumer Reports rated your washers below every one of LG's Washers, so that will most likely be our replacement to this one.. I truly believe filling our landfills with these items because of these problems should be resolved with better educated engineers who can earn their pay, and manufacture who can start building better products as you once did years ago...

My husband and I purchased this washer from our local Lowes store in Terre Haute In 3-7-2019, and since May 21, 2021 I have not been able to use this machine. It was not wringing out the clothes properly called the extended warranty service on May 24, 2021, tech could not get here until May 27, tech says there was change under the agitator. However on May 28 when we try to do a load of laundry with our 2 year old washer it still won't work, call again the tech can't come back until June 3, looks at washer and this time says it is the motor. I keep getting the run around from the local store and the warranty center all the while still not having a washer of my own and having to lug laundry to laundry mat to do laundry. I think I have a lemon and would like a brand new washer. I thought maytag brand was supposed to be one of the best out there.

Machine not rinsing soap out of dark clothes. I tried using less of the liquid soap and added vinegar to the rinse, but still came out with white residue in the folds, I have never had this problem in any other of my wash machines in over 60 years.. Very disappointed.! I do like my new maytag dryer so far. I have had my machines less then 2 months.. It's the lge top load machine.

Well let's see.
I put a load of wash in my 2.5 year old Maytag dryer, and the inside dryer door gasket fell off, tangled up in my husbands draw string pants, filled my entire load of laudry with FIBERGLASS, contaimidated my families dryer, washer, laundry, mattresses, sheets, curtains, .. not to mention, I'm pulling damn glass outta my skin!
Called to complain? Y'all send a repair guy out to do nothing but order me a new dryer for gasket/seal. Aka. Fiberglass filled disaster.
I refuse to accept that new part.
I'm considering hiring lawyers to look into this matter because i have thousands of dollars in losses between my family of 6. Clothes, mattress, curtains. Fiberglass got into my heat & air unit. My 3 year old son hasn't stopped coughing. Fiberglass? Not good for the lungs!
I want my stuff paid for and my suffering and time and the fact i had to buy a new dryer .. unbelievable.

Wanted to share how disappointed I am with the washer I bought 2 years ago. I've always owned Maytag products. I purchased washer and dryer together. The dryer is still good. The washer first broke less than 6 months after buying. Reached out for help from the company which was no help to me. Just gave me the run around. Had to have the agitator replaced. Now the pump belt is out. This usually happens due to age of washer. Since when is 2 years old, old! as much as washer cost consumers need to know products are only going to last you 2 years. The cost of both parts are not cheap. Taking my Maytag washer to the dump. Bought me a different brand. Never will buy Maytag products again.

Water continually drips into washer tub. I had to turn off the water supply to the machine to stop the leak or else it will fill the tub over time. Luckily the machine recognizes the water in the tub and drains it before it starts a new wash cycle (don't know how, but it did).
Maytag warranty coverage is disaster repair only, what a joke considering their advertisments but whatever. I think that water valve is defective and I see that the part number has changed (usually do to a recognized problem) as I had to order a new valve after reading Maytag lame warranty coverage. Got a replacement valve from Amazon ($53.61) that had good reviews. Email me and I'll let you know how it went after 5/26/2021. Disassembly/assembly is pretty straight forward. You can do it.

This company deserves a negative five star rating. Over the years I have purchased Whirlpool products and every single time their product have failed me. I purchased a Whirlpool gold stainless steal side by side refrigerator thinking its the top of the line, boy was I wrong. This refrigerator was a bunch of JUNK. Service calls one after another and they could never figure out the problem. After years of service call and not being able to use the fridge it was sold for scrap metal. And of course after speaking to Whirlpool my money was non-refundable. Later I purchased a whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer. Needless to say the pair only lasted three years. The washer motor went out and the belt on dryer broke 4 times, JUNK. Not having learned my lesson the first two times with Whirlpool products I bought a Maytag washer which seems to be holding up for now. I later bought a Maytag dryer and after TWO DAYS I called Maytag and they would have to send a service company out to repair a BRAND NEW OUT OF THE BOX dryer. Let me reiterate (2) TWO days. JUNK. Don't think because something cost more that its the best That's not always the case.

This Maytag washer has had a bad odor for quite some time, even after cleaning cycles, so I did research to see if there was a recall or faulty part. Research showed hundreds of complaints on this washer not draining properly and water building up under the drum which leads to mold with the stagnant water. I call Maytag to make a formal complaint and see if there was a recall on this product or a faulty part and the Maytag Associate told me there was no known issues with this washer. I tried making a written complaint to Maytag along with the phone call, however it appears Maytag does not stand by their products and does not see a concern with exposing my entire family to mold all this time due to their washing machine not draining properly. After watching many consumers post videos on how to take apart this washer and clean out the mold periodically I did the same. Pictures attached are of the water not draining under the drum and the mold build up on the various parts. This is unacceptable that Maytag would allow consumers to continue using this washing machine knowing the faulty design and exposing entire families to mold.

I purchased your washer from Lowe's July 2017, 3-4 months later the lid was replaced as it was defective and not closing, from one of your service providers. Presently the inside plastic of the lid is cracked on the corner . The softener dispenser has rust. I called your warranty dept only to find out this is not covered . Very unhappy as I purchased your product thinking it would at least last me more than 1 year . It seems like this lid is defective.

Purchased above refrigerator 3.5 years ago and it's now inoperative. Chambers of Bloomington was sent to service and it would've have cost us close to $500 in parts and labor, plus compressor requires replacement. I requested an itemized list of repairs required from Sean, service person, but he just documented sealed system repair on paperwork and told me the evaropative system on freezer was also destroyed. I'd like more information re: this problem to probe further. Shouldn't an appliance last at least 10 years.

We are highly inconvenienced because at this time, having to shop around for another appliance is difficult because of covid.

We've been Maytag purchasers for many many years, but it's over at this point.

We live in Chicago, but refrigerator was purchased for our other location in Seneca, IL.

I bought my washer and dryer from Lowe's in 4/20/20, I don't like this washing machine, I tried every cycle and it doesn't get my clothes clean, I don't over load either, then sometimes it doesn't spin the water out. So I tried the drain, spin cycle and it added more water and still didn't spin water out on different size loads. Model MVWC565FW2, S# CX11 40693. Please help.

Like all the other complaints listed for Maytag Washer Model MVWX655DW1, I took started having issues with the washer not completing wash cycles, doesn't agitate or clean clothes. I called Maytag's customer service [protected] number, I was told to troubleshoot by watching Youtube videos, that they didn't have the machine hub or drive shaft information with common issues I too was having. By the amount of complaints, Maytag is fully aware of MVWX655DW1 washing machine problems since the majority of the issues are exactly the same.

The convection element shorted out resulting in a sizable repair bill to replace the element / fan and cover. After these components were replaced I noticed that the oven was hot even though it was off. Turns out that the convection element is energized whenever the range has power to it, whether the stove is in use or not . Great now I have a fire hazard.
I had to disconnect power to the range and disconnect the convection element wires so that we can still use the range, albeit without convection.
Looks like the oven control MRC needs to be replaced .
I am very upset. We purchased this range because it had a 10 year warranty only to find that none of these components are covered .

I have had this Centennial Commercial Tech Washing Machine for a couple years. It does not clean clothes no matter how small or large a load, or level setting. I hate Hate Hate this machine. I bought the best in the store thinking it would be my last purchase. And now feel stuck with dirty clothes, and a very stinky washer. I have used every commercial product to clean it to no avail. Finally I used Hot Water 4 Cups Vinegar and 1/2 C Baking Soda. The clean odor lasted 3 wash loads & here comes must water. I truly believe the water is way to low of level at any control level clean. this machine is a nightmare. I absolutely Hate Hate Hate it.

I purchased this machine in October of 2019. In January of 2020 it started giving me issues. The machine washes but didn't spin. I had to run the "drain and spin" cycle to get the water out of my clothes. We had a tech come out and replaced the main circuit board and all was good until now. Now it is back to doing the same thing. However it is now out of the manufacturers warranty. The next tech, (provided by the extended warranty company), proceeded to tell my wife that she was doing laundry wrong. Told her the machine is not designed to do small loads. He ran a diagnostics and found nothing wrong. The machine should be able to sense the size of the load and work properly. This is supposed to be an energy efficient machine. So having to run a drain and spin cycle every time is not very efficient let alone being a total pain in the [censored].
