trying to have an inspection done on my car
I've been trading in this facility for over 14 years . First with Summerfield then Tire Construction and now Mavis.
I went to have a inspection done on my car and was told a needed an appointment for service and the first available would be Monday.
I've never had to have an appointment for anything and have always been a walk-in .
So if this is now your policy you have lost my business .

I dropped off my car off in the Morning at 815am which I explained to them that what I was doing.they opened at 8. Needed new tires an oil change and to check pads. They told me that it was going to take just a couple of hours. They knew what tires I was looking at I was already in the system. Left the car. And I did t hear back at all. I called them at 2:30 and ask they told me that they backed up and haven't t even looked at the car yet. They could have called me but I called them. I called back in an hour and still no resolve. Finally called me at 515. And said that i needed new brakes rotors and calipers and wheel alignment. Now the place is closing in ten minutes. She told me I have to wait till tomorrow and now I don't have a car. For work that day or tomorrow. I am very upset and angry with the people there. And I still don't have my car back. Trying to charge me 1300 dollars for all this work done. Never again. Won't ever come back I called corporate and complained have to speak to mike Lopez.
oil change
I called first thing in the morning on 8/5/19 to schedule a oil change for my 2015 Volkswagen Jetta tdi, telling them about the specific oil recommendations and that the car is a diesel . The man on the phone a-shored me no Problem, we get the parts next door . I get there 1:15 appointment is for 1:30 next door doesn't have oil or filter has to be ordered. Isn't this why I called you at 9:00 am ? Ok I give them oil I carry in trunk order me a filter which is a 1hr away here I sit at 2:30 car still hasn't been pulled in too perform the oil change. Had my oil changed on 7/25/19, the mechanic left off a seal and oil poured all over my engine and driveway, brought the car back for them to fix next day, manager claimed it was the seal. I went to the local store and they said they would inspect the brake system. They said it needs a front brake package. No problem.
Now a week late the back brakes are grinding. Now the vehicle is on the lift and taken apart and I am told that I need brakes, pass rotors and calipers. $995.
Why was this not found the week before. I drove about 250 miles during the week.
This is totally a rip off. They inspected the vehicle. So now it cost a thousand dollars.
I would never come back to this place or recommend Mavis tires to anybody.
Note: same thing happened to me here when it was call STS service center.
Again I will never come to this company again. Seams to be a pattern of rippling customers off of their hard earned money.
This is mostly likely why they chanced names.
So there are strict government regulations with car facilities. What cars don't break or breaks don't wear out.?. Maybe at that time you didn't grind and they only fixed what you needed at that time. Does that make sense

A ton of variables factor into a car pulling. Not sure why that store won't swap them and test drive with you driving to see if the problem is solved tell that store manager to swap them out. Story not making sense they no how to handle these things.

I had a flat tire and decided to stop at mavis discount in New Bruinswick NJ to get it replaced. I was in a hurry because I had work and I didn't think of taking anything out of my car, after receiving my car I realized a visa gift card of 100 was gone, 250 also gone that were in my compartment. I called the location and the onsite supervisor told me he has gone through the Camera footage and nobody took to money. I said okay but can I see it too so my mind is at peace because my money went missing right after and I was suspecting the mechanic who fixed my car. They said they will get back to me. They did not, decided to call them again, they said they wouldn't let me see it. I just want to know why you have Cameras on site, if it's not for the safety of customers. How is it okay that somebody can go as far as opening a customers compartable, when you're there to get ur tire serviced
To look for your wheel lock maybe? Gift card can be tracked so call the gift card of find the receipt or the person that bought it. Advice i no matter what shop or valet service ECT do not ever leave money in the car . People are slim sometimes EVERY where in EVERY walk of life.
Carma will get them one day. It always does.

I just returned from the above location after having my car inspected. The ONLY reason I chose Mavis was b/c I thought I might need tires. First f all, the place was filthy & my car was left with grease on the seat & steering wheel. Bits of paper from changing the inspection sticker were left on my dashboard & the floor was full of mud. My car is maintained in pristine condition but after waiting well over 2 hours, I wasn't going to go back inside & complain. Needless to say, I was not happy!
The manager(?), Anthony told me in front of other customers how awful his mechanics were; they are unreliable, nasty, late to work, etc, etc, etc. He said he'd like to "spit in their faces" but if he fires them, it's hard to replace them b/c the pay is so poor. I thought that was extremely unprofessional.
I WILL NEVER USE Mavis again! How does your monopoly of a company allow such conditions to exist. Shame on you👎🏻👎🏻
People want jobs but dont want to work. generations are less and less experienced to hard work basics at a young age. It's the new normally unfortunately. I know and you know all the problems. The solution need to start happening or the USA is in big trouble with that.
tire installation alignment
I called to schedule appointment. They asked when I could come in I told them 20 minutes get there and it took over 3 hours before they even looked at the car whole process took over 5 hours. Service was horrible. Amy at the front desk is not a fit for this job. She doesn't communicate with the customer to let me know what was going on. I came in for specific things and she tried to upsell things that I don't need. Horrible experience
promised tire purchase and installation on a travel trailer
On Wednesday, June 19th, my husband went to the Mavis Tire on W. Genesee St in Camillus to inquire about the purchase and installation of 4 tires for our travel trailer. The man behind the counter was wearing a white shirt, so he thought he was the manager. This gentleman was very cordial and said he could get 4 tires and quoted a price with installation to be done on Saturday the 22nd.
We took the camper out there only to be treated with rudeness. A man with a blue shirt, was outside and asked what we were here for. We said to have tires put on.
He then claimed that he was the manager and said that they do not install tires on a camper due to the fact, they can't take tools out of the bay to work in a parking lot. When he turned to another customer, we started talking to a mechanic who happened to be standing there and at that point he rushed over and said "you can't talk to him, he's JUST the tire guy, I'M the manager". Well, in shock of this poor guy being humiliated in front of others, I apologized to him and followed the manager into the office.
Once inside, he said he couldn't find our name in the computer, had no tires for us, knew nothing about the order, claimed he phoned the so called guy who worked on Wednesday and was told that he too knew nothing about camper tires or the fireman who he gave a fire discount to. His customer service was disgusting and I told him so.
We've given them a lot of business between 2 vehicles and our camper over the years. The last manager that I met with in the fall was awesome - very welcoming. This dude...well, I was so mad that I told him how unprofessional he was, how rude he was and how he's lost our business. He didn't care. Another customer waiting also stated to us how he's experienced this same rudeness from this jerk.
Once we left, we called another tire store (Dunn Tire) and they happily placed an order and will install them in a couple of days (in their parking lot) when they come in. And... their ST tires are cheaper so we're saving money!
I've cut up my Mavis credit card due to the fact that I will not give this company any of my hard earned money when we've been treated like this. This store and your company lost a $500+ sale and future sales of everyone who I can talk to.
So I know they wanted to help you. Trailers are out of the wheel house so to speak. Why because of the skill level of the techs possibly and if the have the proper jacks and Jack stands which some do some dont.here. sounds like you were looking for a reason not to like mavis and your sliming them because they can't help you with a trailer not there specialty. My advise try a different Mavis location.
