Lowe's review: Lawnmower and bagger purchase

Hello Lowe's,

We had an issue with purchasing a lawnmower at your store and I wanted to share the chain of eents with you. Firstly, my husband and I had visited the Perrysburg, OH Lowe's on Tuesday, 3/30 and found just the lawnmower we wanted to purchase. The sales representative told us that there was "plenty" of the mowers in stock and offered to have the mower and bagger delivered free of charge to our home by Saturday 4/3. So far so good! We paid for the mower and bagger and scheduled the delivery for Saturday, 4/3. Well, on Thursday, 4/1 we got a voicemail on my husband's phone letting us know that the mower and bagger were now on back order and they did not know if or when Lowe's would be getting them back in stock. So, I called the store and spoke to store Manager Sherry who then refunded our money (of course it takes 5 to 7 business days to receive the money back into our account. After the money was refunded I asked Sherry if there would possibly be the same mower in stock at another Lowe's in the area, Sherry said she did not think of that but did look and found the same mower at another store close by here (Airport Highway in Toledo). Now I am not a store associate, I would think that the employees at Lowes would have thought of something such as that? But anyway, Sherry offered to have the mower held at the store on Airport for us until we could receive the refund back into our account. So, we received a message on Monday, 4/5 that the mower was still waiting for us and my husband went to the Airport store to pick it up (we thought the mower and bagger) but they informed us that the airport highway Lowes did not have the bagger in stock. My husband came home with the mower and we discovered that the Airport Highway store had charged us over $150 more for the mower than we were originally charged at the Perrysburg store. Again, I called Sherry who said "she did not know anything about the bagger" but would leave us a store credit for the difference. Again, my husband had to run over to the Perrysburg store to get the bagger today.

Now, I'm not one to complain or raise a ruckus, but COME ON! This entire thing could have been avoided if someone would have just checked another local Lowes to see if there was a mower in stock and then re-arranged the delivery a bit. This caused us a bunch of unnecessary running around and our account credited and re-charged which was a giant pain in the butt! After all of this craziness I will think twice about returning to Lowe's if this is the way the clientele is treated.
