Lowe's Doesn't honor rebates

I recently purchased a GE appliance from Lowe's. The sign stated that the appliance qualified for a $50.00 rebate, which was part of my purchase decision. The clerk had difficulty getting the rebate form to print, and I had to wait. I submitted the rebate, and now I get a letter that the rebate was only for a pair of appliances.

The sign did not say pair. The salesman sold me one appliance and stated the rebate applied to the appliance. The cashier had to get the rebate form from a separate computer. All of the above with the understanding that it was for the washer alone.

I called the number and was blown off, and told that the only rebates are for pairs of appliances.

This was a deceptive practice. I will not purchase anything from Lowes ever again, and suggest that no one else gets scammed like this either.

I have the same issue. I was talked into buying a more expensive dishwasher because I was told by the employee that I would get a $189 rebate, but I’ve been arguing back and forth with the Rebate Center and they are refusing to pay the rebate.

Lowe's management need to take care of this rebate issue. When you advertised free extra panels for a Bespoke Ref, make sure it work without a hassle. It made me feel like I have to beg to get the rebate you promised. I know this store can do better.

I purchased a Samsung Bespoke ref with rebate (free extra set of door panels) has some big issue, submission of claim rejected 3 times because their computer program does not honor claim online even with all the information they requested were submitted. You still have to send them a copy of your receipt thru mail or electronic email to get to the first step, approval. Talking to them is not enough to address this issue. Good luck with your purchase @Lowe's.

I bought a pair of LG products(washer and dryer) on May 25th. My rebate was submitted on the same day by the Manger. I called the rebate center a week later and was told that everything was okay but I have to wait 6-8 weeks. Okay being the mom that I am, I called back 4 weeks later and was told that a confirmation number was not submitted and I have to do it over again ( after 4 weeks) and wait another 6-8 weeks. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was denied the opportunity(everyone has a boss). I have 7days left for my 8 weeks to end and still have not received a response yet. I called 3 days ago and still the S.O.S it's still processing. I know you don't have to have a degree for this job but come on! corporate needs to do something about this.

So I bought an LG refrigerator. I bought an LG washer and dryer. I bought an LG stove. I was told that I would get a good rebate back as long as I send this all this in before one month well I sent in the rebate and everything else needed for that rebate they sent me a letter vaccine or they text me back saying you don’t qualify for a rebate I was told by the person at the counter that if I were to buy four products in their store that I would get a rebate so Lowe’s is dishonest with your customers Why did the customers to get them to sell products because they get a commission on it so I will never ever buy another product from Lowe’s again liars

I bought 5000$ of samsung appliances and was told that I would get a rebate of 10%. This was on their black friday sale in oct.2021. I've called them 3 times because I was rejected? Finally sent them a copy of the original receipt. Still nothing. The same thing happened last spring on their paint sale. 40.00$ rebate per 5 gallons. purchased 3 - 5's. rejected. Don't fall for their rebate scam. go to Home Depot and you might get a rebate. I just know you won't get one from LOWES.

Exactly. I bought hundreds of dollars of paint that was supposed to be rebated. I filled out all paperwork on their site properly and was told a card was being sent with the amount. 5 months later...nothing. Numerous calls to the rebate center and still nothing. I had switched my business from Sherwin Williams to Lowes based on the fact I could build points and use rebates. I'm switching right back to SW and going to Home Depot. Lowes will lose my $12k worth of paint purchases a year, but I wish we could all start a class action lawsuit for fraud or negligence.

Here's a club that I didn't want to join. I've been scammed too. I bought a Maytag dishwasher offering a $200 rebate for the installation. I filed twice and it says that I didn't meet the conditions, when in fact I did.
As others here have stated, it's pass the buck on accountability. I too will shop elsewhere.

Looks like joined the club as well. I purchased a more expensive dishwasher so I could meet the $599 requirements. I sent in a picture of the bill and was told that it doesn't qualify.

Lowe's fail on delivery

From the start to the end of my experience in ordering GE Profile range and range hood, Lowes dropped the ball. I shopped online and ordered those items by phone from our local store; the person in appliances told me I'd get the receipt in the mail; it never came.

If only that were all; the first attempt to deliver the range by the agreed date failed; it was rescheduled for three days later. As a compensation for the missed delivery, the Lowes manager agreed to have the range hood installed for free, which was satisfactory to me.

Two days later the installer arrived. While I was elsewhere, he placed the range hood box on my new range, somehow managed to bump a know that turned a back burner on high, and set the box on fire. I come from the back room to a house full of noxious smoke, ash and embers on my kitchen floor, and a box on fire in my front yard. The house still smelled like an incinerator two days later, and the back burner was ruined with melted waxy material permanently scorched on.

Of course, Lowes agred to replace the range. When I hadn't heard from them about a delivery date for that, and it was time to pay the credit card bill with the charge on it, I worked with my credit card company to do a chargeback. Having their money taken back finally got their attention.

However, here I still sit, 48 days after first ordering this item, waiting fo them to deliver the exchanged range. They said it would come in the morning; at 11;30 I called delivery, to find that a "glitch in the system" kept it from going out.

Despite the individual efforts of some people I worked with there (and you never of course work with the same person) to sincerely make thing right, I believe that LOWES is really the glitch in the system. Shop Menards, shop Home Depot; just please, don't give them your business!

Please never use Lowes, it will become a nightmare. My husband & I wasted 3 days waiting for delivery of new appliances for our new residence . And we still do not know when they will arrive. I honestly have not ever experienced such incompetent assistance dealing with so many different individuals. I feel Lowe's is responsible for the delivery of their products. I want my new appliances, at this point they are being held hostage. Thank you Lowes!

Lowe's did not honor coupon

Lowes's sent me an email for 10% off on any purchase I made good through 2/24/2011. I printed out the coupon but the barcode would not print. I tried several ways to get the barcode to print but had no success. I took the printed page into the store and requested the manager to authorize my 10% off and explained that my computer would not print the barcode. Every other part of the coupon printed perfectly. The manager, "Amy" told me to either use someone else's computer to try to print the barcode, or go to the public library to try to print the coupon. I found these suggested alternatives to be both insulting and annoying since I have spent several thousand dollars at their store in the last 8 months doing a whole-house remodel of my home. In spite of my attempts to reason with them over this, neither the managers, "John", "Amy", or customer service clerk, "Ashton" would bother to accomodate me, a very good customer in their store. I asked "Amy" to pull up my buying data in the store's data base to see how much I have spent there and she did. She then insulted me further by saying that my records show "various detail items" purchased in the last year. I DO NOT CONSIDER SPENDING OVER TWELVE THOUSAND DOLLARS AT THEIR STORE TO BE "VARIOUS DETAIL ITEMS". I am very upset over this experience today and will plan on making HOME DEPOT my new store of choice for my remaining remodel purchases.

Lowe's lowe's protection plan sucks

I purchased a Samsung stackable washer/dryer from Lowe's in October 2009. I had purchased the extended 4 year warranty. In December of 2010 the dryer stopped working. It took them 10 business days to get a service tech over here to tell me it was a broken belt. He said 7-10 more days to get the part. After 7 days of no communication I called Lowe's service only to be told "they can't find the part"! The dryer is a little over a year old. Take it off another dryer! I was scheduled for a service call today (3 weeks without my dryer) and it was canceled because they didn't ship the part. I called the service company and asked for the part number for the belt I need. I have found the part myself on the internet. It took me 25 minutes, since I had to cross reference the part # (something any online customer service would be more than happy to do). I am assured that my part will be on my doorstep on Monday (today is Friday). I cost $57.00. With shipping. Nice. Once this part is installed by their service tech (don't want to void my "valuable" warranty) I will be sending a letter telling them to shove their warranty and that I want to be reimbursed my $57.00. I don't have high hopes but I have certainly learned a valuable lesson. As you will now, and everyone else I know too. Save your money.

Still the same garbage with the EPP. The control cable broke on my mower, I thought no problem the salesman said that the extended warranty covers everything no matter what. They repaired it and then said its not covered you owe $90. Everything the salesman (and several others on other items I bought at Lowes) was all lies. Time to start buying my equipment at sears again. Never had a probl with their warranties.

@planetb - Lowes itself manages its own plans now. Rust is always considered cosmetic under any plan, any retailer. Lowes contracts with local service people who accept their fees. Belts are also not covered as is any "maintenance" part. Electrical and electronic failures are covered. Also, the extra 4 years has ZERO to do with the original 1 year warranty. btw - ONE year warranties have been the norm forever.

I bought the Maytag Bravos "quiet" series 300 washing machine on 4/22/2010 at 17:09pm from store 0631 (with Extended Protection plan ). I noticed the fall of 2011 some rust around the Liquid Bleach dispenser area, but it seemed to wipe off. I noticed as the year went on in 2012 that the rust was coming back and at a worst rate. Last weekend I gave it a closer inspection and noticed the rust was dripping into the basket as well as rust has now shown up between the cabinet and top cover. I took out all my paper works for the washing machine and found the Maytag only has a 1 year warranty (Not surprised..) I then noticed that I bought a 4 year EPP from lowes.com when I bought the washing machine.

I called Lowes and made an appointment. They sent out a company called METRO Factory Service. The Repair guy showed up on time, took one look at the machine and he was pretty much running out the door. He said he could not do anything to fix it and if he put in a claim to have it repaired, they (not sure who “they” would be) would void my Protection plan due to the rust (To me this is a factory issue).. What good is the Protection plan. Some research on this company and lots of reports of hack job fixes and bad reviews come up with just a Google of the company’s name

Metro Factory Service has very bad reviews:
https://www.google.com/search?q=METRO+Factory+Service.&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a#lrd=lrd

I took some pictures of the machine :

Pictures from 1/27/2013:

http://phpix.planetb.net/index.php?album=home%2FHouse%2FBravos&dispsize=640&start=0

Pictures from 8/31/2013:

http://phpix.planetb.net/index.php?album=home%2FHouse%2FBravos%2F08312013&dispsize=640&start=0

I questioned some sale guys/girls at different stores (lowes, other places) that try to sell EPP for there stores and they all agree that this is a factory issue and should have been covered. A newer machine like this should not be rusting apart. Paid $900+ for this washing machine .

Below is info I found right from lowes website:

http://www.lowes.com/cd_service+advantage_923014150_

Lowe's Extended Protection Plan:
Functional Parts
Labor
Surge Protection
Normal Wear and Tear
No Lemon

From the FAQ section:

What does an Extended Protection Plan cover?
An EPP covers electrical and mechanical issues, problems caused by dust, heat and humidity. It also covers failure caused by normal wear and tear.

What’s not covered FAQ :

An EPP doesn't cover accidental damage or abuse, routine maintenance and consumables, unless otherwise specified. More exclusions apply. For a complete list, refer to the Terms and Conditions.

This is not accidental damage or abuse. This is not a routine maintenance or consumable. Its painted metal that was not correctly protected at/by the factory.

I priced out the parts online to repair from sears parts website:

Frame PART NUMBER: W10162604 $73.39 (Not sure if this panel has rust on it or not, might not need to be replaced)
Rear panel PART NUMBER: 8566090 $128.11 (Not sure if this panel has rust on it or not, might not need to be replaced)
Cabinet PART NUMBER: 8566097 $183.55
Top Cover PART NUMBER: W10141678 $51.44

I also noticed recently that there is now a grinding sound coming from the washer.. Scared to call as I might get this Metro Factory Service company again and they might put duct tape around the old bearing to fix it..

emailed the above tonight to epp@lowes.com also. Bet it goes into the black hole..

I have a Samsung over the range microwave, its handle comes out 2 years after purchase and we had a Extended Protection Plan too. So we call and they replace it promptly . A year and half later it come out again, I guess manufacture fault ? but this time even tough its the same problem they are denying our claim saying it was intentional damage. This is so absurd to say its intentional...who are they to say such a thing to deny claim. If we are still covered under the Plan, they should handle the claim the same way as it was handle before, its not our fault if Samsung is making appliances that can not last 5 year and need replacement parts every 2 years.I will never buy a Extended Plan ever...and I will never buy Samsung ...Its just a double ripoff ...first from faulty manufacturer and then from retail store.

email epp@lowes.com with your story. that is the source at corporate. the so-called "parts ordering system" is a joke - the service administrator pays minimum fees to the repair companies and waits for the cheapest part. The customer and any hope of efficient service is always secondary to cost savings to them.

I purchased a protection plan for a dehumidifier that I purchased in April, 2009. The compressor stopped working so I contacted Lowes. They arranged for in home service on 9/22 between 8am and 12 pm. On 9/20 the repair company called to confirm the service. On 9/22, they NEVER SHOWED UP! I contacted the repair company and got a recorded message. I contacted Lowes and they said that the spoke with the company who said they left messages at BOTH of my contact numbers saying that the technician wasn't going to come on 9/22. That was a downright lie because I NEVER got any messages. Lowes said that the company would contact me when the technician would be "in my neighborhood". It's been nearly a week, and I've had no contact. Lowe's extended warranty is a joke. Although Lowes has some excellent products, I've made a commitment at this point to NEVER buy from Lowes again.

I had the same problem with Sears several times, so I know your pain! I know that their installers and services techs are busy, but if it is going to take that long, maybe they need to hire more people to help satisfy their customers. How can a customer, especially a family, wait for a washer or dryer to be fixed for that long. I have a washer and dryer because I don't want to go to the laundry mat, to wash or dry my cloths in the same washers and dryers as alot of other people.

Lowe's water heater install

Better check out the rules for installing water heaters here. The sign says 235.00 for a water heater install but it wont tell you that you also have to pay for a permit, a drip pan, new fittings, new hoses, 35.00 for an estimate that is non refundable. You are much better off to get someone from around the area to install it for you if you cant. Most local plumbers will do the job for about 150.00. By the time Lowe's is done with you you will have spent 800.00 or more for a 350.00 appliance. Don't purchase an extended maintenance plan. You are better off to just buy the next series heater up i.e. a 9 year rather than a 6 year since you wont have to deal with the crap from a second rip off. Oops forgot that you have to pay extra for pick up and if the location is elevated there is another charge as well as the headaches that go with hooking up electricity. Plan ahead because it will take you a half hour just to get the paper work done and then you still have to wait for an installer to call you and make an appointment to check out everything first. Then you go in to purchase everything. Hope you didn't need hot water for a couple of days. Just hire someone local and save yourself a lot of hassles.

Lowe's horrible company

I went to Dallas, TX for my anniversary. I was scammed in a mall for Jose Eber hair straightener (paid $300 and when i flew home and went to use it, it didn't even work). I called the company that has the "lifetime warranty" and they wont do anything. They have email address, phone numbers, and mailling address but they wont reply to me about getting an exchange. Lowes Visa which is owned by the horrible company GE money, said they would dispute the charge and get me my money back. The gal at the kiosk lied to GE money about everything. I proved her wrong. I sent in all my proof. GE money said they would keep disputing the charge. All of a sudden it was back on my card again. I called again and they said not to pay it because they are disputing the charge again. Then another time i called because it was still on my statement and i was getting late charges. Then the guy on the phone told me that they sent me a letter stating that they can't do anything about the charge! So now I have a wasted $300 on a hair straightener that doesnt even work! I actually just paid the $300 on my credit card and canceled my card! Never do business with GE money!

You should file a complaint against the company who sold you defective item with the BBB. The charge on your card is legit because you have the merchandise, service/warranty issues are the responsibility of whoever made/sold the device, not your card company

Lowe's egg harbor twp.

Egg harbor twp>I 've worked with this company in many ways and closely w its associates for a very long time. I have been watching a spacific worker, manager.. being harassed horribly by upper managements zone / sales and l. p. and w no support from store manager or human resorses within the store over the course of the past 7 months. I speak to the employees on a regular basis and am friendly with most in the store at this location and discuss different things. this is one of the hardest working and knowledgeable employees I have ever seen in my time of working with this company. this person worked up to dept. manager from a service associate at a very quick pace. over the last several months I have noticed along with other associates @ that location that this employee has been targeted and harassed by senior managament almost like they are working together.. I dont think this employee in all the years I have been around this location had gotten a complaint from any customer or fellow associate at all. this worker is very sweet and polite and im sure may have gotten a few customer accomendations along the way. I feel like this store is a bunch of childish upper management that conspires agenst its employees. discussing, personal information, breaking confidentiality, as a matter of fact i've wittnessed it on many occasions myself. their behavior is very unethical. if corprate ever came into this location and asked the low management team about there concerns im sure they would uncover major problems complaints and harassing and degrading issues with upper management some individual upper management especially. if the regular employees were ever spoken to individually by corp. it would uncover a sespool of harassment misconduct and unethical behavior by upper management, lp inc. hr.. this store is a mess and totally a hellish place to work. but it seems the only way out is out the door.. its not a enviorment that empowers or encurages its employees in fact discuragement is all im sure they feel. I am of a different athnicity and have been degrated by a zone at this location even tho I am a reg consumer

Lowe's substandard flooring

We purchase this flooring in april 2006. Flooring swelling at seams and it became very dull after wiping down with a damp mop like we were told to do. Frist a lowes rep. Came out and said the floor need to be replaced, then a company rep. Came out and said the damage was our fault. To look at the finish you would think we had alot of dogs and children running through the house, because of all the scrathes and nicks. I will never do business with lowes again because they did not back us up on this complaint. I recommend that no one should ever buy any pergo prodcuts.

Lowe's John Deere riding mower

Sold extended warranty at the date of purchase 250. 00 dollars. 2 years after purchase needed warranty work on the handle of the deck of the riding mower. Rosencrans of N.H. John Deere did the work.. The work was done over 1 month a go. They will not release the mower due to Lowes extended warranty paying on half of the cost of repair and delivery to and from Rosencrans. Right now my riding mower is sitting outside in the snow. Many calls to Lowes but the pass the buck, you can not get a straight answer from the service people. They never cll back. I have heard to many times, this will be taking care of by the end of the week. Please to not buy extended service warranty at the end of the purchase, it is a scam, You will be sorry when you need to use it. Mark Pease

Lowe's compact flourescent lights

We purchase several Brights Effects CF lights from LOWES less than 2 years ago when we moved fron LA to TX. We used them in our kitchen (6) the advertised warranty is between 7 to 10 years and they only lasted 20 months. The average usage was 4 hours a day. We understand things go bad and nothing lasts forever BUT, a product that says they last 7-10yrs and only lasted less than 2 years. The cost of these bulbs is quite high and to have them blowing out all the time is an insult and outrageous ripoff. The government should look into this scam.

I doubt any of you read your terms and conditions. Many of you don't even know how insurance / warranties / contracts work, but you'll b***h and moan about the service that your not paying for. Next time, don't buy the plan, wait just as long for service, and pay for it yourself. The plan basically is there to pay for the service.

I used to work for service advantage, and guess what. . 90% of you have absolutely no idea what you were covered for, or what you were actually entitled too. Thats not our fault, thats your fault. I've bought plans, and since i am an educated consumer, who takes the time to know what i'm buying, i've never had a problem getting things fixed through warranties or contracts.

And to those of you who think calling and screaming will get things accomplished. . . I have news for you. It wont! The plan is not there to make special exceptions. And everyone wants a special exception. The plan is not there to replace your machine because of your situation. And if you would take the time to read the terms and conditions you'd know when you're eligible for replacement. I got so damn sick and tired of being disrespected every single day. Especially when i have went over above and beyond for many of you to make sure your "problems" were taken care of. I have received numerous commendations from people and you know why. . . They let me help them.

That's the problem. You don't let us help you. And what's with raising hell when the representative you talk to doesn't give you their last name or other personal information? Company policy prohibits them from giving that out. And even if they could, it would still be a personal choice. There is nothing saying they would have to give you that information. That is information that you do not need to have.

Try hiring people from the U.S.A., You will hold on to your customer longer.
They also wanted me to bring in a tech. person at $180. This could all be done over the phone with a American tech.

Uuhh, yea I read the terms and conditions of the extended warranty plan I bought and it was still a waste of money. WHY ? Because of the incompetent warranty company personnel; that's why. Treated like a customer ? He _ _ no ! Collect a pay check whether the person on the other end gets their product fixed or not. Extended warranty plans are a WASTE ! Ponzi Scheme if you ask me. Feeding the pockets of the incompetent ! Save your money and pick your own service tech if/whgen the time comes your product needs servicing. At least then you can control who is going to work on your item and can determine if they know what customer service means. I'm certain extended warranty company personnel can't even spell customer service. You were berated probably because you derserved it !

Lowe's combination windows

I ordered aluminum combination windows from the Stevens Point store and paid for delivery. The department manager took my order. He screwed it up. I still have the paper with my measurements to prove he was at fault for ordering windows that were to short. He refused to order the proper sized windows and take the short ones back, but he did arrange to send me expander strips at no cost. He stated he was too experienced to have made such a mistake. When he found out I had proof he made the mistake he became rude, disappeared, and I had to deal with underlings until I received the expander strips in the mail. Now, a month later, the snow is falling and I am freezing my butt off installing the windows. Yes it's late in the fall, but it took me a over a month to get the expander strips.

Lowe's poor installation of pergo flooring

November 2009 purchased over $4, 000 in pergo flooring and installation.Contractor started mid November and finished mid Feburary .Incorrectly installed, floor is bowing and quarter round peeling .Have tried to get some resolution from Lowe;s, they all agree it's a poor job and should be re-done.I have unsucessfully to get them to do something. They come out and look but that's about all that they will do.I am at the point I am ready to hire an attorney and slap a law suit againest Lowe's.That seems to be the only way to get their attention.I will never do any business with this co.again.

Lowe's bad service

Lowes installers have proven to be not well trained at thier job...for a 2 hour job it went on for 5 hours...and still not complete apromise to return on the 5th at 8am is the best i could do.

thr frustration and inconvenience this has caused has been over the top..This has happened twice with Lowes..I like the store and its products, but I am now afraid of the installers. I just spent a thousand dollars there on two purchases..most of it in cash..and this is what I get!

How great of Lowes to pride themselves on a gurantee competitor Price Match. However, they are NOT willing to price match their own Store. That's right one Lowes has one price and the other Lowes a couple of miles down the road has another price - and guess what - they will NOT match it. So - I will take my business to your competitor instead.

FOUR MONTHS AND STILL NO QUOTE!

June 15 I went to Lowes to purchase three, yes, three storm doors. Customer service in store was awful, but I'm a busy professional and my need for doors allowed me to overlook the lack of service in your new South Chicago City location.

I was told that I did not need to be home to have my storm doors measure. The crew measured. I went into the store the day after the crew measured hard to get help and when I did, I was told no measurements were there and I would receive a call.

I never heard a word and called back a month or two later. Instead of measuring three doors, they measured one. The gentleman I spoke with promised to send his best person out. Again, at least a month passed and I never heard a word.

I called 1.5 weeks ago and again I was promised by Tom, the sales manager that he would take care of me. He did get someone out the next business day which was a week ago today, Monday. Tuesday Cora called to ask if Id been measured, I told her yes and my long story. She said someone would call me back.never happened.

Tonight I called and asked for millwork. I was on hold for 7 minutes before I called back and asked for store manager.

It was no surprise that when I did ask for store manager, the woman on the phone told me that it would be a while because three other customers were waiting to speak with her. Imagine that!

The phone attendant asked me what I needed so that she could prep the store manager while I waited, when I told her, she transferred me to Cora. Cora did recall speaking with me last week, but instead of working to get me a price and helping me to get three storm doors that I have been trying to purchase for FOUR MONTHS, she insisted that I stay with my original sales rep who I did not recall and who obviously forgot about me. She insisted. I asked to speak with the manager.

I finally got to speak with Tracy who promised someone would call me back

Why should I purchase from Lowes now? Why should I have to go through any hassle of getting my deposit back from you or returning the hardware for the storm doors that I can not BEG you to sell me? Where is the SERVICE in your South Chicago City Lowes store!

Still in need of three storm doors!

The military id issued to me had no picture on it, I offered two different military id, s and a driving license with picture. You should either offer veterans a discount, or do away with it. Do not advertise like you are going to give discounts, then come up with some silly reason as not having your picture - what is wrong with picture on driving license.s, shame on lowes. This happened to me at lowes, franklin square in gastonia today June 8, 2010. The lady, s name is unknown to me, she opened a register to clear a line.

Hmm i work at a lowes and I found that odd. I know customers I encounter everyday want a price match at another lowes store, and we have no problem giving it to them. We dont normally like to do the additional 10%, but if you ask most employees would be glad to give it to you. I find it odd that lowes in the same city have different prices on the same product. I have not encountered things like that. The people who ask me to price match are from way out of town, so i call the store to verify and then give them the price match.

That's what you get for chasing after the LOWESt PRICE. Next time spend a little more money at a local store, and you'll get what you need in a timely manner. And you'll be pleased with the service. You think they pay that much less than the local businesses for the SAME products? They just pay their people less so they can afford the low prices. Poor moral=poor service. If you want superior customer service, then stop shopping at national franchises that would rather sell you a product for less than they pay just to put a local business under the ground. Don't believe that they do that? Make friends with someone who works there. They'll tell you they have hundreds of products that they LOSE money on. Even things like 2x4's and drywall.

Lowe's waiting for free nail gun for one month

Sale paper advertisement stated buy 12 inch Hitachi dual miter saw and get a 2 inch Hitachi brad nailer free.We went to the Lowe's store before sale was over which was Sept 23.They said we could pick up nail gun on October 01.I called a week after pickup date and they said it had not come in.Then on October 9 we went to Lowe's and ask why it was taking so long. They called store on Dallas hwy and they had 4 at that store but they said we could not get one there, we would have to wait until they got some at that store.I explained to girl at inf desk we really needed it on the 9 but she said we would just have to wait. She was talking to someone named mark on the phone in store. The store where we bought this is on east west connector in Austell, Ga.We have bought many things in Lowe's including my Freezer, so I would appreciate an explanation on my email.( [protected]@yahoo.com. )We are very disappointed and was in Statesboro, Ga this past weekend and mentioned the way the Lowe's here in Austell has treated this matter. As of today Oct 17 we have heard nothing. We are very disappointed at the way this has been handled.Janet Willoughby.

When you see those magic words but this get this free everyone suddenly needs one. We give rainchecks but they're called "pick up laters" you but it now and pick it up later. You have to wait for the item to come in...just like every other customer in the state who ordered one. Hitachi couldn't keep up with the demand so everyone had to wait... if you didn't like it then why wouldn't you get a refund and purchase another kind?

If it's something you need, and you can (allegedly) get a free one WITH the purchase of another item you need, do you go off and spend the extra cash on something you *could* get for free, or do you expect a store to have enough to cover each item they have for sale in the deal? She bought the required item, they should have had a nail gun in stock for each item in the flyer! Let me see if I can spell it out for you: This store has 20 miter saws on sale, therefore they should have on hand 20 nail guns to go with those saws, as per their ad. Now that they're also giving her the run-around and ignoring her, they have actually committed FRAUD.

Lowe's declined check

on 10/25/10 we went into Lowe's to get some tools and other home repair items. My check was declined. I called Certegy and did speak with a real person who stated that my check fit a profile for fraud. They wouldn't authorize the check. This was ludicrous to me because I write personal checks at Home Depot, Nordstroms, Target or where ever. I do not write bad checks. I had never heard of these people before. I am now afraid to write a check. The representative suggested I use a more "secure" method of payment like credit card debit card or cash. I felt that she was a fool because those methods of payment are the most insecure. In fact my debit card was "skimmed" a couple of times. I could get knocked in the head for cash and credit cards have unreasonable fees attached to them. Cathy the rep told me there was no negative check writing history. So what's up with this? I submitted my driver's license.
