Lowe's ge washer

We purchased GE washer 4/3/2017 with 5-year extended protection plan warranty. 2/19/2022 I was doing a regular load of laundry, the machine fell apart, throwing parts damaging the walls, floor and put dents in the dryer next to it. I notified the protection plan people, service man came out 2/23/22, stated the washer was non fixable and he would notify the warranty people. 2/28/22 I called the protection plan program stated they haven't heard anything from the service man, and it would be 7-14 days when we should receive more information. 3/7/22 I called protection plan program stated the claim still hasn't been completed and it would be 14 days when we should receive more information. The protection plan is a gimmick and provide very poor customer service. I don't advise purchasing a protection plan.

Desired outcome: I am still waiting to be reimbursed for the machine. Claims should be addressed promptly not taking over a couple weeks to complete. If the protection plan can't stand behind the warrant don't offer one.

Lowe's roofing installation

had a new roof installed about 4 years ago. it leaked around the skylight about 6 months ago. Recieved the runaround to get it fixed. Lowes roofing told me to call the vendor. the vendor claimed they had not installed the skylights, which were bought from lowes and installed with the roof. the vendor then sent me back to lowes who after showing them all my documents finally had the vendor come and caulk the roof shingles. I had damage from the leak inside which was clearly covered in my contract. after months of delay and denial my case was refused by lowes adjuster, Steven Darling, because he claimed, the leak was due to wear and tear on my skylight despite no evidence and the vendors own repairman fixed the leak without touching the skylight. Lowes should be ashamed of themselves, pretending to review the claim and just hoping I would go away, which I will not. assume I'm heading to arbitration. have already supplied all documentation to lowes multiple times!

Desired outcome: I want my inside damage fixed

Lowe's Not answering and hanging up on customers repeatedly 45 minutes straight

This is the most basic of customer service. The entire staff of store employees obviously needs to be retrained and manager be held accountable. For a customer to consistently call every department at Lowe's for 45 minutes and have no one pick up the phone in 75 rings and then only two hang up on the customer is absolutely absurd.

Desired outcome: The staff obviously needs to be returned and the manager be held accountable.

Lowe's Service agreement

I very strongly advise that you do not shop Lowe's for appliances and that you don't buy their extended warranty service agreement.

We purchased our Samsung appliances in June of 2018 and also purchased the 5 year 'protection plan'.

We began having problems with our oven getting a C20 error code and turning off. This would happen sporadically - you never knew if the oven would work or not.

I first contacted Lowe's about this issue in November of 2020. A service person came out and replaced the sensor. It still was occurring and the service person came back to replace the motherboard in December of 2020.

The issue occurred again in March of 2021. The service company came out In March and replaced the sensors again and the problem occurred again. In April they came out and replaced the motherboard again. When I spoke with customer service a manager stated that if it happened again I would be eligible for a refund under the lemon law.

The same thing happened in November 2021. At that time I was told I still didn't qualify but would qualify if it happened again. I demanded an email stating that, which I received.

It happened again in February 2022. I called and the customer service rep put in for both the repair and the buyout. The service person came and confirmed that the parts needed replaced again.

I contacted Lowes again and was told that I would get an email about the buyout by March 2. I didn't get an email and contacted Lowes again. They said I didn't qualify because the service person ordered parts. I stated I do not want the oven fixed again and that I want a refund. I quoted the email that I received and was told that customer service can't promise that and it has to go to claims.

Now I have another buyout request in and must wait another 4 to 7 business days for a response.

I am beyond frustrated and disgusted with this situation. I am again without a reliable oven and am getting no satisfaction with resolution. I have had three separate service companies at my house and they all replace the same parts. This is a stove we paid $1500 for. And all I get from Lowe's is a runaround.

Again I would recommend to never buy and appliance from Lowe's. They don't stand behind their products and have no interest in customer satisfaction.

I'd like to offer some insight that may relieve many of your questions.

Replacement (not buyout) of a unit MAY occur after a problem has been detected, confirmed AND attempted to be repaired AT LEAST THREE TIMES.

What does this mean? It means that you've had a problem with the unit and an authorized service person has come to your home, detecting the same issue. If they cannot replicate the same problem, the incident does not count. Once the problem has been replicated, a determination is made as to what the part(s) and service(s) are required to fix the problem. Part(s) are ordered and another visit(s) is made to replace part(s). By the third time this procedure has taken place without fixing the problem, the product MAY be considered unrepairable by the warranty provider and a replacement made.

Hopefully this answers many of your questions.

Lowe's Appliance delivery

BUYER BEWARE: Lowe's would LITERALLY rather kill me than fix their damages to my home.

In 2020 I was diagnosed with two types of cancer, because of the extreme financial hardship imposed by cancer treatment as well as the terrible nature of one of these cancers (and its horrible statistics) coupled with the added stress and hardship caused by the pandemic, we were chosen by my oncologist office to be the recipient of the christmas charity they do every year. We were asked to give a list of things we needed, including one "big ticket" item. For our "big ticket" item, we listed a new fridge - stating that our old fridge was not only too small but doesn't seal properly. Our 'Angels' went to Lowes's and purchased a fridge for us. We were told by the organization to expect a delivery on my birthday (12/20/2020), this was after 6 months of red devil chemo, a complete mastectomy, a complete hysterectomy, and reconstruction, I was in the middle of radiation at this point). A Lowe's truck arrived at my house with a box from Lowes, and this is where things went downhill. This was one of the WORST retail experiences I've ever had, these people proceeded to damage about 20 sq ft of flooring and break the leveling feet off of the new fridge, and THEN tried to tell me they werent responsible for moving anything so they weren't responsible for the damages (the "anything" in question was the old fridge that they ASKED me where it should be moved to - I asked them to move it a total of 10 ft into our dining area). They couldn't provide me with a number when I asked to speak to a supervisor, I couldn't even get them to keep their masks on IN my HOUSE, so I just called Lowe's. This was when I first heard of the company called RTL DIRECT, a contractor for Lowe's and so begins my real nightmare. This company has drug this out over a year, tried to get me kicked out of my house (its a rental), tried to close my case for "lack of interest" after telling me they could only deal with the owner (who was cooperating with them), they have required REPEATED inspections and repeated bids - all of which I complied with, they have repeatedly told Lowe's it was resolved (according to lowes). and despite me repeatedly furnishing Lowes with written proof of RTL's misconduct (which has included things like having employees pose as supervisors on the phone with me, trying to tell me their inspector approved my claim for 'the amount of my deposit only' as if that's how deposits work and then instructing him to block my number after I told them I had spoken with their inspector again that morning and he denied this and asking them to intervene, I am fast approaching my lease renewal time (again) with RTL Direct once again trying to get me out of this place so they can do repairs cheaper and Lowe's (again) giving me the absolute runaround.

After reaching out (again) to their "executive customer service"- the first time I did this was last summer - and once again IMPLORING them to intervene - I've begged them for several alternatives from them advocating for me to them just doing the repairs themselves, I've been handed off to a woman who told me she couldnt help me last spring, and told me I have no choice but to deal with RTL Direct because my issue is with them, not Lowe's. I maintain that I NEVER hired RTL Direct for anything... I made a purchase from LOWES. Its now been almost 2 weeks since Lowe's shuffled me off to this woman... I have called her several times, she has returned my call once (and didnt reach me). Meanwhile, my only contact for RTL Direct told me he would file harassment charges against me if I contact him again (this was during my second contact with him in a months span). I am so shocked and appalled.

(any lawyers out there want to help me?)

Desired outcome: I just want the property returned to the condition it was in before Lowe's contractors entered the property.

Not wanting any monetary settlement. I am trying to get Lowes attention. Contacting Lowes corporate is a joke... they have so many fire walls. Store level is just as bad.

We bought a washing machine from Lowes on Bobby Jones Hiway Augusta, GA. We asked for delivery and was told we would get a phone call indicating what date and time. The purchase was made on 28 Jan. 2023. We got an animated phone call on 29 Jan. 2023 telling us the delivery would be made between 1 and 5 on 30 Jan. 2023. I left work and was at my home by 12:30 on the 30th. By 5:00pm there was no delivery made. I called the Lowes store ... put on hold for long time and finally after 30 to 40 minutes got an answer. The answer was that the delivery truck came and no one was there. My neighbor said yes a delivery truck came at approx. 12:00...sat there and driver appeared to be on phone and then left.

The delivery truck parked on the edge of my front lawn and left deep ruts in the grass... he didn't bother to park in the driveway. Was notified again that the delivery would be made between 11:00 and 4:00 on Feb. 1st; I got off of work at 10:00 and waited. I got a call at 1:00 from delivery driver saying he had broke down and delivery would be around 2:00 to 2:30... no delivery came at all on 1 Feb. I got back on phone and after the usual being put on hold and at times being hung up on and having to call back and put on hold again... I am now told I will get a phone call on 3 Feb. with a new delivery time.

I'm sorry to hear of your difficulties.

Hopefully I can assist.

First, be aware that once this goes legal, nothing is going to be done until a settlement or judgement is reached. You're not going to be contacting anyone to receive assistance in repairing the damages as they will just refer you to their legal departments.

Next, unless this is a fairly large amount, you'll be filing in small claims which means you don't have to have an attorney.

I'd take the time to study any paperwork you've signed. Make sure you haven't agreed to anything you're not aware of.

Lowe's delivery

bought a refrigerator and asked that the right hand door be reversed, well i my past I delivered such items and we made that change at th shop before delivering. Upon delivery it was not done.

the third party delivery company did attempt the easy job.

however was not able to do, they claimed it was done and left. I looked and found it to incorrect. did their job, and now we have missing parts. lows system does not allow interaction with associates so now I need to go to the store to attempt to get the missing parts.I am done with lowes.

Desired outcome: paid for an hr of my time 25.00 per hr.so far 1 hr. tracking missing parts time not known yet.

Lowe's Door and window replacement

We contracted with Lowe's to purchase and install three sets of sliding patio doors and a double hung window. The products were of high quality and the installation went off without issues except for a small area that required repairs to the stucco. In addition, one of the window frames had sustained damage (duly noted on the sign-off sheet). We were assured both issues would be addressed.

It has been a month and no one has returned to finish the stucco and our several e-mails to our Lowe's coordinator/contact have gone unanswered.

Lowe's Age Discrimination

I applied three times within three months at Lowe's, and one is with the Garden Center. I was seeking a part-time position. Today, I found out this young girl(19 or 20 years old) who works as a cashier at Vowell's store, never applied with lowe's starts work on March 12. The hiring manager is Alflando who also interviewed way before this young girl.

Desired outcome: The outcome is the firing or demoting Alflando and hiring somebody who knows the labor laws.

Lowe's Extended warranty is a joke

I contacted Lowes extended warranty dept on Feb 5th since my 4 1/2 year refrigerator had stopped cooling. They set up a repair with a company on Feb 11th so I took the day off. As the day went on and no one showed, I called the company who was supposed to come and was told "we don't work on LG". I asked if anyone was going to tell me they weren't coming and they said they had called Lowes that morning and told them such (though Lowes didn't bother to tell me. After waiting over an hour to get someone at Lowes, I was told my repair would be "expedited" and someone would email me with my new appointment within 4 days. 3 days later, I received an email that my new repair date was March 1st. I called Lowes warranty dept to say that was unacceptable and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told it could be a 2 hour wait and I said I would hold. After 15 minutes I was disconnected. Called back and waited another 45 minutes on hold to talk to someone. I was told within 5 days someone would call and get me a repair appointment or buy out the refrigerator. Obviously no one has called and here I sit almost a month without a refrigerator. What good is it to have an extended warranty if you can't get repair service for near a month?

Desired outcome: I would like Lowes to fix my appliance or buy it out.

I can appreciate your frustration.

The service company selected for doing the work was reported as authorized LG. This status only recently changed. They failed to report back to Lowes until the day the work was to take place.

Unfortunately, even under normal circumstances, service takes a period of time to schedule. With the pandemic, it's created a whole new set of difficulties.

Is it frustrating? Absolutely. At least with the Lowes' Protection Program, you're not dealing with the added expense of replacing/repairing the fridge at your own expense.

Lowe's Washer/dryer

10 days ago I ordered a washer and dryer after being told it would be delivered in five days. Nobody called me, nobody informed me by email or otherwise, that the washer and dryer had not come in. I called them three times for a total of almost 1 hour on hold and being shifted around to different people. I was then told that there was a problem during the ordering. They re-ordered it and it was promised to be delivered on Saturday. I went to the store Friday night to make sure that the delivery was gonna be on time only to be told that it would be another 20 days before I could get it delivered. What kind of [censored] clowns do they have working at this place? If I could give negative stars I definitely would. The management was totally unhelpful.

Desired outcome: Get my washer and dryer to me within the week.

Lowe's Granite counter top

Lowe, s hires distinctive marble and granite to install. They mis - measured so cut the granite in the kitchen. We spent 2 days with a hired cleaner and us cleaning our home. Soft close drawer guides no longer close, sounds and feels like your pushing them across sandpaper, stove top does not sit properly. They turned the fan on the microwave on, great idea suck up some dust. Now when we use microwave it blows dust all over anything inside it. Some of our cupboards have to be sanded down and repainted/clear coated. There is a chunk out of the corner of the granite that was not sanded down or whatever they do to make it smooth. We have spent thousands of dollars at lowes over just the last year and I am very unhappy with how this is turning out because noone wants to take responsibility for any part of it! Comes down to the large businesses only worrying about the all mighty dollar! I will only shop small retail and ma and pop shops from here out. I quit shopping lowes several years ago and only last year decided to give them another shot, big mistake on my part I guess, lesson learned! I will also make sure all of my family, friends and acquaintances know how we have been treated at your store.

Lowe's Lowes dishwasher purchase

I purchased a dishwasher online Feb. 7,2022 with my Lowes advantage credit card. My Lowes account was in good standing with a zero balance and the purchase was within my credit limit. The installer contacted me and I scheduled an appointment for Feb 21. When my installation time passed with no contact I called the installer and was informed that my installation had been canceled because my Lowes card had been rejected. My purchase had been canceled without my knowledge and no one contacted me. I made multiple attempts to resolve this by phone with customer service and Lowes credit department. I spent over an hour being transferred, disconnected and I was not given an explanation. The card issuing bank denied my purchase 8 times. I went to my local Lowes store and still could not get an explanation and was told the only thing I could do was repurchase at the store. I was promised my installation would be expedited. When I contacted the installer the next day I was told they had tried to contact me the night before. First they did not contact my primary number that gave them and phone records do not show a missed call. I am still waiting to get this resolved. Lowes has delivered one of the worst customer experiences of my life. There have been multiple customer services failures in every step of this purchase. Horrible experience that has still not been resolved.

Lowe's Refrigerator installation and removal

Refrigerator installation and removal

New refrigerator was installed but not leveled they told me they were not allowed to adjust the wheel height so it won’t fit under my cupboards. Upon removing the old appliance they damaged my wall and didn’t seem concerned at all I paid them $30 to do what I could’ve had somebody else do it for free and actually have gotten it done correctly

Desired outcome: Finish the job you were supposed to do and refund my money since you damaged my property also I think the delivery people should be written up for not doing their jobs and for lying to customers

Hi Bob.

Delivery for your fridge is handled slightly different based upon location. Wheels are not something commonly adjudged however doors should be leveled to create an even door line. It's up to the customer to properly prep the area, making sure the space will properly fit the new appliance.

Lowe's Dishwasher

I bought a dishwasher with specific upgrades and in stainless steel. I recieved by delivery a dishwasher which had my name on it and had the numbers that matched my receipt. I did not have it installed immediately . My husband was going to install it. Right before I ordered it my husband went into the hospital and because of his health we did not have it installed immediately. When it was to be installed two months after purchase I realized it was not the correct product I ordered. It was BLACK stainless steel and a lesser machine. I tried to get relief from the store but have had no luck. I finally gave up and installed it and it will not work properly. It will not dry the dishes .

Desired outcome: I want the dish washer I paid for .

Lowe's Customer service, or lack of

We stopped by the store in West Columbia, SC. I believe this is store #0499. We wanted to purchase two or three small items. The only cashier row that was open was the "self check-out" line.

I approached two women in red vests near the lane. They were busy chatting each other up and it took a while to get one's attention. The other walked into the office or restroom. I asked "which cashier's lane is open for non-self checkout"?

She told me that "there were not any open, and I would need to get in line behind the 7 folks waiting and use that self checkout. I explained that "all I need to do is pay taxes and die", set the products down, and walked out.

We drove directly to Lowe's store #2967 5570 Platt Springs Rd, Lexington, SC 29073. We selected our products and went to one of the several non self checkout lanes, paid for our purchase and left.

Easy peasey, but it took a short drive to a much better store.

Desired outcome: Keep open at least one full service cashier lane, and call for a "code 50" or whatever when a long line to checkout forms.

Lowe's Delivery of washer

We purchased in the Ludington store a new washer on 2/15/22. Delivery was set up for 2/18/22. The automated call said it would be delivered between 1 and 5. The delivery person called at 4:30 say he’d be there in 30 minutes. I called the store at 5:40 to see what happened and was told that the driver tried calling at 4:41 to say that the roads were too icy. In verifying, I was told that the driver had placed the 4:30 call from the store. I questioned the icy claim, as I knew the roads were fine. The store contacted the driver and called me back, now saying that the first call was made from the delivery prior to mine, and that I didn’t answer the second call. My land line did ring at 4:41, but no one was on the other end when I answered.

I am now supposed to be on the schedule for delivery tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be bad tomorrow. I sure hope I get my washer tomorrow and that there is a driver who isn’t too lazy to deliver, so uses ice as an excuse.

The person at the store said there was a picture to show the icy conditions. I asked for a copy to be emailed to me. I never got it.

Desired outcome: To have my washer delivered on 2/19/22. If not, I’d like compensation for wasting my time.

Finally did get it delivered on 2/19, but not without lots of calls and complaints.

Resolved

It took about 5 phone calls and delivery in less than ideal conditions, but we got the new washer downstairs and the old one up. Still no real good explanation as to why it wasn’t delivered on the proper day, but it’s here and we got it installed.
