Lowe's review: Ceiling fan installation cost

On 6/17/21 I visited the Lowes store in Bangor Maine and spoke with Dean in the electrical department about replacing a ceiling fan on a 10 foot ceiling and also 5 pot lights. He helped me choose the appropriate lights and tried to contact the installers but had trouble with the installer company being used. He promised to call me with a quote for installation and I paid for the lights and fan to take home. On 6/19/21 Dean called me with a quote stating "Are you sitting down?"... He then told me the installation was $3, 600. The products I bought was only $357.75! This is an unacceptable price and I was very upset. I took the items back to the store on 6/19/21 and asked to speak with the manager. He did not offer to look into it for a mistake but just shrugged his shoulders and said there was nothing he could do. I informed him I found this totally unacceptable and had always had good customer care at Lowes but am no longer going to give my business to this store. He did not seem to care and just walked away.

Desired outcome: An appropriate installation charge that is not 10 times the cost of the materials.
