LabCorp complaints 322
On Jan. 18th, 2016, I went to Labcorp for pre-op bloodwork. The woman who did my admission paperwork was quite rude, and seemed uninterested in and unconcerned about me and the other patients who were there. This woman turned out to be the technician who would be drawing my blood. I've had blood drawn many, many times in my life and have experienced very...Read full review of LabCorp

The first time that I went I had problems with the staff at the Lomita location. They were very unprofessional. The woman acted like she needed some Prozac. Had to wait hours. I decided to try a different location in Carson on Avalon. They were worse than the Lomita location. I went back a second time to the one on Carson and found out that they had hired...Read full review of LabCorp

LabCorp - asked for credit card to pay for services when I had medicare and aarp gap insurance
My doctor authorized lab tests and I was required to use Lab Corps. Personnel were fine, but I was given a paper to sign that said among others that Medicare might not cover the lipid panel for cholesterol checking and I was asked for my credit card as backup if it wasn't payable. I checked with Medicare who told me that the test was covered.
I did not want to give my credit card and therefore didn't get the test. I feel this should not be allowed.
Arrived at 9:15am and signed in for my 9:30am fasting labs appt which I made online. I was immediately hit with an intense odor of feces and urine. Front desk claims the waiting area was cleaned each day but they were unconcerned. They laughed when I complained about odor and fasting not being a great combination. I was called up to give my ins card and...Read full review of LabCorp
LabCorp - blood draw tech
Went to lab for blood draw. Tech had a finger out through glove. She couldn't "get a vein" in arm, went for hand. I told her I had a lot of lotion on and she said that is ok, put the needle in without alcohol wipe. Drew 2 vials of blood and said the vein was no longer working. I now felt faint. She tried giving me a sugar pill, a worker came in and heard what was happening and handed me a breakfast drink. I took 1/4 of it-felt better and she said she would have to use my other hand. She can't because I had lymph nodes removed on that side. She said I would have to come back. I asked her if she could send in the blood she took already for some of the tests and she said she couldn't they were contaminated-HOW COULD THAT BE? I couldn't go anywhere else because some of the tests being done where to be after a 10-12 hour fast.
This is what I posted to the companies "customer support" page. "When we arrived for my son's test today, we were told the wait was 1 to 1 1/2 hours. My 12 year old son and I were subjected to a 1 hour and 50 minute wait for a blood draw. It was a fasting test. No morning appointments were available on the website for nearly 2 weeks. The individual I spoke...Read full review of LabCorp
I took my one year old son to the Labcorp in Pasasdena, Texas off Fairmont and to start the minute I walked in it was dusty/dirty in there.Second there was only one lady in there and might I add she was unproffesional with her LONG gaudy nails that could be unsanitary and she spoke to me with slang! Third I made it clear when setting the appointment that it...Read full review of LabCorp
I took my daughter for her blood work at Labcorp location on 8503 Arlington Blvd Ste 140, Fairfax, Va. I regret to say that my experience was horrible. The nurses treated my 3-year-old daughter very poorly. First of all, they were inexperienced. The nurse kept poking my daughter arms with the needle because she did not know where to take the blood from...Read full review of LabCorp
Do NOT go to the Labcorp lab at 240 MIDDLETOWN BLVD., LANGHORNE, PA for your baby's blood work. They were NOT able to draw even a drop of blood from our baby!! Three people tried to find his vein and the last one, Bree, who seemed to be the most experienced in the lab, inserted the needle into his arm before she could even locate the vein. She twisted...Read full review of LabCorp
LabCorp - bad billing practices
I have been going to Lab Corp for years and it seems that they have been sending me some parts of bills to the "wrong" address they took down from my doctor. I got an email from a collection agency and when I called to speak with Lab Corp about this, after paying it, I asked why it is my fault if I didn't know that there was a bill and they were sending them to the wrong address and they said they could not answer that and that it was basically my problem.
I made an appointment on the website for May 17th, 2013 at 8am at Labcorp's West Bay Largo, Florida location. I arrived and was told to sign in and have a seat. After waiting nearly an hour I went back up and was told I was sorry that they skipped me and were taking other people that didn't even have appointments but what is worse is that they said they...Read full review of LabCorp
LabCorp - labcorp sales rep
Just started using Labcorp for in-house labs for our patients-what a mistake! In less than a month, issues with the Labcorp tech either showing up late or not at all. When I had a "heart-to-heart" with our Labcorp Rep this morning, letting her know of my unhappiness, she ended the call telling me to "go to hell". No, I am not kidding! Unbelievable! If Labcorp ever tries to get into your office-run for your life!

Just want to complaint about the specimen collection technician at Lab Corp Fremont in CA. The guy is really rude. Not sure he has racial discrimination. He is the rudest person I have ever seen in healthcare industry. He does not explain it to you well and he talked to me more like professor talking to student. He handed me the pen to sign and grabbed it...Read full review of LabCorp

LabCorp - lack of company doing their job
My family has two insurances. Every time we go to get lab work we get a bill from lab corp. We call them they say its not their job to bill secondary insurance. But, I spoke to a supervisor and complained about this, and she said that there are four screens to billing, and the person inputting info does not do what they are required to do. They, Lab Corp, has even sent my daughters bill to collections. I asked the supervisor to send me a zero balance after she check with secondary insurance, she said some bills were submitted in an untimely manner, leaving labcorp to eat the bill. The supervisor also told me that she would contact the collections folks, and they would send me a zero bill. I am still waiting on this information. I recently contacted the CEO, CAO, And the VP of labcorp, no response yet. My complaint is if they do their job correctly initially, this problem would not exist. They want my wife to contact our secondary insurance and get an eob (explanation of benefits) for them. This is ridiculous. All I ask if they do their job, and these types of problems would not exist. Ive had problem for over a year now, enough is enough.
LabCorp - horrible service
Th new company I was hired by requires a pre-employment drug screening, and contracts with LabCorp to undertake that screening. I found the number of the local LabCorp office online as well as the address. I called the number to schedule an appointment, but was promptly put through to a recorded message. I attempted to get through to an actual person multiple times to schedule an appointment and to get further directions to the business, but could not get past the automated system. The recording stated that pre-emploment drug screening was conducted between 9 A.M. and 4. P.M. and could be done on a walk-in basis. So, I decided to drive down to the location without an appointment since they were not required. I spent 20 minutes searching for the location, as neither the address nor the online map clearly showed the location, and as I stated, I could not get past the automated system to get clear directions from a person. Finally, I found LabCorp on the back side of a strip mall. i arrived at LabCorp at 2:19 P.M. on a Thursday afternoon, during the regular hours of business. But, when I walked in, I was rudely ordered to sign in at the register, and only after doing so was I told that the woman who conducts the drug screening was out of the office and wouldn't be back until after 3 P.M . So, after enduring a complete lack of service from the beginning, after searching for the location for 20 minutes, after being rudely treated by the technician, I was still unable to take the drug screening. I am going to recommend that my company search for another contractor to do business with in the future.

I was astonished when the receptionist asked me for my credit card to charge the full cost of the laboratory testing. When I asked why, I was told it was LabCorp policy. Eventually, I was shown a copy of their policy. The policy, "Notice of LabCorp's Credit Card Authorization Program, " acknowledges "that for some insurance plans there is no additional...Read full review of LabCorp
I had health insurance with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (Horizon). In network outpatient lab work was provided by Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings (Labcorp). Due to the limitations of the policy, there was a limit of $500.00 per year for this benefit. During October 2010, I visited my primary doctor, blood was drawn and sent to...Read full review of LabCorp
