Home Depot review: False advertising

I have been a home depot customer since 1979 when it opened a store on Buford Hwy. in Atlanta. having moved to New York in 1999, I always drove past the local hardware stores and Lowes to get to Home Depot. When in your Bellport store, I saw a sign by the electric water heaters saying " call by noon for same day installation. I asked a store associate about it he said just call tomorrow morning and they will hook you up. so I did just that, I called at about 7:30 am, spoke to the girl, and took my info, and said a contractor would call me shortly. by 10:30 I did not get a call, so I called the store back, the man that answered the phone had no clue what I was talking about, he put girl on the phone, she said my order was in, and she will reach out to the contractor and have them call me. by 1:00 pm, I still had no call, I called the store again, the girl said hold on I will contact them now, she came back to the phone and said I would hear from them within the hour. At 3:30, I got a call from Betty from N.H. Ross, she asked for some info and pictures. I gave her the info she requested and e-mailed the photos she wanted. by 6:oopm, I sent her a text asking if this will be done today, she said she will try to get me an estimate by the end of the day. I had dinner with my niece that evening and told her what happened, she told me to go to Lowes and see what they offer. This is the first time I went into the store, I spoke with a store associate he said the same thing, while my wife and I were there we also bought a Stove, washer and dryer, and a house water filter. we wanted to get a fridge, but was told to wait as next week they will be on sale. At 9;15am the next morning, I got a call from a contractor, by 3:00pm they were at my house installing a 220 line and my water heater. At 4:30 or so, I got my quote from N.H. Ross. Home depot and N.H. Ross really dropped the ball on this one, and I know that 10 or 12 thousand dollar sale doesn't mean all that much to a big company like Home Depot, but what should mean a lot is that yo have lost a life long customer after about 40 years of shopping there, so now instead of driving past Lowes to get to Home Depot, I just go to Lowes, They have proven to be true to their word. I will get my things to finish my basement there, and continue to shop there from now on.
