Green Dot Checking account

Im LIVID right now! I was informed via email months ago that my account was closed the day I received the email. However was also informed in that same email that I will be able to use my card to spend down the balance OR request a check for the remaining balance. The disaster began! I called to get my account balance mailed to me by check as I was told in the email and was told my account was blocked and I needed to send in the requested identification documents to unblock my account and THEN I will be able to use my balance. I did as instructed took a front and back picture of my drivers license and a selfie on myself holding my drivers license. I called 2 few days later and was given the runaround. I resubmitted information several times and NOTHING was accomplished on GO Banks end. I submitted several complaints to the CFPB and then was contacted by "Green Dot Corporate Office". I've been back and forth for months now and NOTHING has been resolved! It is literally still a "PANDEMIC" for a lot of us. I've tried for months to get this matter resolved and this clearly isn't working. Green Dot Corporate office employees literally is no help at all and can barely understand what I'm relaying to them and vice versa due to the language barrier. This is unprofessional, unacceptable and unethical what myself, my small children and business have endured because of this small issue that can be corrected very easy. I've been a customer for OVER 5 years! This lengthy process has brought on stress, anxiety and other issues for me. I NEED this resolved! California and Texas State Attorney General, The SOS, Federal Reserve, The Bar Association, US Attorney General, Media Outlets, CFPB, FTC, along with my 325.k followers on social media will hear about this. I have small children, a business at with-ends I can't continue to wait!

This is HORRIFIC No one has been able to assist me in this matter so therefore I am moving forward with not only filing complaints to the FTC to the state attorney general to the US Attorney General, Local Sheriff, federal reserve bank ‘ CFPB & ALL media outlet this is absurd and unethical behavior for a corporation I am livid! Simple process that literally takes minutes to handle and I've been at this for over six months now!

Desired outcome: Release my money!!

Green Dot They locked my account with $14k in it because they said I didn't pass the document verification received from a ppp loan from the sba.

This is the email green dot sent to me:

"Hi Brian,

We apologize for the inconvenience you had.

As we can check that you didn't pass the document verification. we request you to please ask the originator of the funds to contact Green Dot, and request for the return of the funds. Once the originator has contacted Green Dot, the funds will be returned to the originator only.
The Financial Institution needs to send a letter at Green Dot mailing address requesting the return of the funds on your behalf.

Letter must include:
1. Amount and date of deposit
2. Cardholder's name
3. Account or DD Number

Once the letter is received, the funds will be returned in 6 business days."

I used Blueacorn to get the loan and I have contacted Blueacorn and sent that email to them. Not sure if they have followed through and done this yet as They keep telling me there is no updates and they will contact me when there is an update on my account. I have been waiting nearly 6 months I ask green dot they just send me the same email again and again. If I call they say there is nothing they can and then repeat the same thing the email said "Contact the originator of the funds contact greendot"

Desired outcome: To either have my greendot account unlocked, have the money sent to another account, or just let me withdraw the money in cash or they can write me a check. I just need my money.

Green Dot Walmartmoney card by greendot

My card was blocked over a year ago. I have submitted veryifying docs several times to them. Meanwhile this whole time that THEY blocked my card they still charge my card the monthly fees. I dont understand why they are charging me fees when i cant use my card. I have called and submitted and submitted and they give me thr same answer all the time telling me to resubmit docs. Its so overwhelming when they block your money and then still want to try to charge for a service we can not even use cause they fail to unblock our card. Its not our fault please help

Green Dot My stimulus 3

The IRS deposited my stimulus 3 for 2800 on march 17, 2021 to an account with Green dot bank . I am having a hard time getting my funds ever since July 2021. I don't have an account with Green dot bank. Recently, they sent me a letter regarding investigation and that I will have access to those funds while they investigate., but the letter doesn't states how I will retrieve those funds. I called green dot to asked instead they told me to call the IRS. I called the IRS and was told they are still waiting on the bank to send the funds back to them. Also rep from IRS told me to call green dot because they are the ones with my funds. And there is nothing else they can do . Seems like I am never going to get my 2800.

Green Dot Unauthorized transactions

I have disputed some unauthorized transactions to my account, my dispute was denied for reasons unknown. I complained about and disputed it. A varity
of transactions was postede to my account that I did catch while they were still pending and was told by the customer service rep to wait until the transaction clears and then dispute it. I waited and tried dispute the transaction and got no response the transactions are from late sept and for the month of october. I was sent a letter from Green Dot acknowledging my dispute and that it was being investigated further in the mean time I was allegedly credited to my account the sum of $2, 299.99 to use until the issue was resolved. I was later denied my dispute. My complaint was that there was more than 400 consecutive transactions that should have been flagged for suspicious activity but was not and thus my account was drained
of all its funds

Desired outcome: To be refunded my money back to my account

Green Dot My go2bank account

I have sent all kinds of document proving my identity this was my tax refund I gave them prior knowledge of the deposit they assured me my account would not get locked and now refuse to unlock it and are going to close it but refuse to send me a check for the remaining balance I've contacted the bbb the treasury department the irs the federal reserve and an attorney there was no reason for my account to be blocked and If I have to I will take legal action I have lost my home over this nonsence my name is Melissa Martin and my ticket number is [protected] and [protected]

Green Dot Walmart MoneyCard

Several unauthorized transactions was ripped out of my card until I had nothing left starting oct. 27th. Some app called google "garena" never heard of it, never downloaded it, and I haven't even USED google since August, using an iPhone now. Wait times on the call service are 100+ mins., that keep going up in-call. Never answering. I'm very poor, can't get access to a bank/checking account, and now I just want my card cancelled. Please help.

Green Dot My soc.sec. money and direct deposit with green dot bank

Ok I got this card and account open for a minute and on the 14th of October I told Social Security and change my direct deposit to green d o t Bank and on the 26th I got my disability check in my Green Dot Bank account and that day the same day where and I was going to get out I got up out of bed and I was going to go get my money out of the ATM they blocked my card and my account my money still sitting there $839.50 and they were all night I've been on the phone with them Social Security everybody and I need my money I don't know why they wanted I did not do anything wrong in that charge or that account I've been using it my my boyfriend would send me money to their I would use the money okay I had moved in 2930 I-40 East apartment 136 and I was locked in the room for two days beat on almost killed me with the machete and almost burnt me up in my bed okay he went to jail I had to move immediately I so I got my HUD came up so I found me an apartment Verizon reside right now at 2202 Southwest 8th apartment 7 okay I have two accounts with Brianna Baker and I have three accounts with Leona Thayer and my phone number is [protected] I am disabled and I can't even go out of my apartment and go anywhere I have a lot of things in the wrong with me and I don't have nobody that helps me pay my rent or help with me getting my food I'm by myself that many is for me to pay my rent I need my money they had no reason to block my card in my bank account they asked me for a front and back of my driver's license of course it has 3930 I-40 East Apartment 136 because I have not had time to go change it I like I said I don't have nobody helps me nobody I stay in this apartment everyday I don't go nowhere so I need my money out of that account they said that my ID my driver's license and my did not pass their test I don't know why it should have but anyway I need help immediately I need my money today please help me and then that number ID number I got off of the ladies that I chatted with are green.com chat line

Green Dot Walmart money card

To Whom It May Concern:

Please give me another number to call. I am asking Green Dot Bank allow me to speak to an American from the resolution department. I feel you are blowing me off and have no real concerns or feeling that my Family and I are suffering as you deny to facilitate the continuants of human life and dignity. Your sending me out of country to solve a problem that should have been handled almost 2 years ago. A miniate issue has been taken out of context and blown way out. Your bank is violating our lively hood and our basic right to communicate properly my financial future and on going problems. There is a huge communication gap between the United States of America and your customer service reps in India. You also have me speaking to a rep from India who doesn't understand me. Even after you closed my checking account as your representave screwed up badly because of the language barrier. At his time because of Green Dot Banks playing games we have no food in the house, we have no heat in Frigid tempts as to start service with the gas company it takes money. I leave this letter, email to the executives at Green Dot bank who are enjoying the fruits of there non compassioned pay and stock option while we suffer for being great customers. I am floored that the head's of Corporate Green Dot bank who's bank I once was proud of and loved has destroyed my life. We are all starving and freezing cold as I said above

Here is how this has gone from me being Green Dots biggest advocate, Green Dots biggest fan to me being badly shaken by what has happen here to my family and I. Just look at my account [protected] that I did not want the checking closed. My issue was not my checking account my issues was my card which snowballed into the worst nightmare of my existence. All that has taken place against my person should have never happened the is how this has gotten so ugly. A card, A bank who had several direct deposits from me. A bank I boastfully ordered as many cards my kids and my wife too enjoy in the fruits of my labor Your bank had harmed us badly the fruits of my labor. Here is how a good dream began and how it ended. How now do I pick up the pieces. I want to say this and I'll leave this to rest with you agree that bank. You guys have got something great going with that card it is awesome bank. You're India customer service is resulting in bad vibes here in America. Imagine this if you cut all your issues down to one phone call instead of 1000 complaints and unhappy customers how much free time all you would have if you cut it down to one. I don't believe in all my years of working in upper management for corporation then I've seen something so horribly wrong.

1. Filed a corporate complaint when I was being pressured by the mortgage company in 2019 - 2019 to produce bank statements. The mortgage company was relentless on my to produce those statements. After round and round of trying to get something done with the customer service I was at a dead end, Frustrated. Finally corporate Resolution department at Green Dot Bank got involved leaving me elated to no end, Now that was the way all matters should ne answered. Now your doing monthly statements, good job by Green Dot bank.

2. While I was working on getting and producing both documents for the mortgage company I get the loan for my home I had a couple issues with my checking account with two items that were being taken out each month. Corporate resolution department started working with me and asked me to call back because what was showing up on my statements and in my account that I had was not what he was seeing on his end on his computer. Right then I told the gentleman I would call him back within a week finding out your permission he needed to know about the one company. The other company taking funds out of my account I thought he had taken care of and he did not. It was during the beginning of the pandemic and what was to come. I called back to give the information to the gentleman from corporate green dot bank hey could not get through as every time I would put the extension in it would not allow me to go through. So I tried for several months like that and could not get through and got frustrated.

3. Each month both companies continue to take monies illegally out of my account my checking account. Sometime in 2020 I called your customer service in India hoping to get some resolution and got nothing but the circle jerked around it's a forget it

4. Most recently I had ordered debit cards for my family in my name for my kids and I thought well maybe this would be a great time for me to clean everything up and I was finding money missing in 2021 out of my account. It started slowly and then began to get worse and worse and worse. When I contact your customer service I was met with misrepresentation, misunderstanding and having 2 repeat myself over and over again. Knowing I wasn't getting nowhere I was involved in a car accident at the same time I have a collision where a boy hit my car and left me in a coma for a couple of months. This also really resulted in several surgeries

5. Most recently after being out of the hospital rehabbing myself I got into my checking account and see massive discrepancies. I thought to myself where do I turn if I call customer service this is going to turn into an ugly mess. Well guess what it's turned into an ugly mess. This has been the worst thing any human beings go through. Because of customer service I started locking my account all the time. I tried to pay bills and use my card as swiftly as possible moving money around and doing what they need to do. Every time I unlocked my card I got hit. So now I'm up to over $3000 take it out of my account with the other two accounts I have to call now and ask the girl without button her know that I'm calling because money is being stolen out of my account. After talking with my wife so she made a suggestion and I went with it and here's what happened below.

6.) one day while sitting in Walmart parking lot using a card that is I believe green dot bank card my old card ending in 0045 I only had half the card. The card was so worn and torn it was tore in half and I have it raised you like to see the photo I just sent you a photo right now but just trust me on this one. I had tried previously getting the card replaced before my problems began but they told me they had to do and quality account they give me a new card. That was hard to swallow because now I have to go back and change everything the federal government Social Security the Treasury Department United Parcel Service just everybody would have to be changed and it would be too difficult. All I needed was a replacement card and then I would call back and talk about my money because my checking account was only being affected by those other two accounts I spoke of above when I try to fix earlier.

7. Now here I was on the phone with customer service from India and she's having a hard time understanding me and am I going to tell her I have problems, no. There should be hey recording of a phone call I'm hopeful and I asked the girl I said listen I have a card in my name that I ordered a while ago and I've transferred money out to it which I do. I wanted to know because I had that worn and torn card and it was getting a point where it wasn't working anymore if I could just replace the numbers of the new card with the old card and keep my checking account. Throughout the conversation I thought that's what was happening.

8. I was so wrongs she closed my checking account out and then I had most difficult time trying to get into my card but I've always had that with always useful. It took me a day and a half to figure out what she did I dare not call them and ask him what the heck was going on because I'd be circle jerked around again and she could not understand me I thought she did

9. As green dot bank knows when you do something during the end of the month all the direct deposits or sent back to the origination. Such as in the case of mine is it began even though I have changed everything now to the new account my old account direct deposits which was plenty including the Treasury Department everything looks sent back.

10. When I called your customer service and media again I was left with misunderstandings unable to understand me I spoke clearly repeated myself they repeated themselves 1000 times it's not fun being on my end you guys it's wrong well could have been taken care of and one phone call with all my problems is now multiplied into a big issue. I'm sure green dot corporation is that even aware of this problem even though I have filed two federal complaints. I asked him to see if they could reopen my checking account so that my deposits come back through couldn't do that and it was frustrating for me let me tell you.

11. Then I followed the federal complaint hopefully being able to talk to somebody from green dot bank and that was not to happen. Even though I specifically said in my complaint I didn't want to talk to anybody in India I got put back in India for them to handle my corporate complaint we keep them made it more compounded. Somewhere somehow someway and we need to make deposits toward my card and I went with the intention of getting in and out of Walmart customer service instead upon myself between two stores tov deposit under my cards and spent 4 1/2 hours doing this. I have been denied we have no food in the house I have no gas in my car or and unable to leave the house because of this problem I'm having a new gas company deliver gas to my home I had to pay money upfront they'll have that because I can't use my card I can't use my checking account. I have taken photos of my refrigerator it's empty if you'd like to see, I have taken pictures of my worn torn card if you'd like to see it.

12. Now we did two days it's Monday it's Wednesday now to get anything done with the cards I'm going to be calling here in a few minutes and I'll bet there's nothing done if there is I'll be elated I'll be a happy man but then we still the problems with my money being stolen off my card. I am not going to India to deal with this. Please tell me how to resolve my issues with the money stolen off my card now he ends here a couple other problems I had and I'll be a happy camper. Please tell me how I can talk to an American from now on if I ever have a problem. I never call your customer service unless it's a major. Especially being out of country I won't call it all it's two ugly look what's taking place now.

In closing I wanna say that I believe if you were in my shoes you'd be as prostrated and pissed off as I am. Please tell me without going to India how much cement the accounts were money have been stolen from me. Please book how much I use your card me and my family we loved it and I'm gonna still love it but you guys have to work with me. I'm an American I'm a soldier, I mean a former United States marine I have huge integrity but I don't want to be screwed around when it comes to my money. I was just getting ready to close my retirement out which would have meant me using your bank and putting in a ton of my money. I was waiting for the transfer and they're going to notify your bank my intentions. But I received the phone call that it was too large of an amount for me to put it in your bank why your a bank going into your bank. For now I have stopped all matters with that until we figure out how we're going to work together. I am the biggest advocate of that card I have told everybody how much I loved that card I've told everybody how much I love green dot bank but yet I get screwed around I'm not happy man right now.

Green Dot Returning my approved disputed money amount via paper check

On 8/26/21 I filed a dispute for $590 for unauthorized purchases. At this same time I locked my card from any further withdrawals. Exactly 2 weeks later, another $500 was stolen out of my account, even though my card was locked. I have to file a separate dispute. So now I am out over $1000. I then was told to close my account so that no further transactions can happen. I have called Greendot bank several several several times trying to get this resolved. My two disputes are said to be approved and said to have been deposited back into my account. However, remember I said, my account is closed. I cannot access my closed account. I had to yet, call Green Dot Bank again, asking how I'm going to get my money that is said to be approved, returned to me. Green dot asked for a copy of my State ID, a copy of my Walmart Money Card, the last four of my SSN, my phone number and a copy of a bill with my name and address on it. I sent this documentation several times. I even verified the email address, [protected]@greendotcorp.com. I was on the phone with Greendot Bank, 10/22/21 for over 3 hours. During this time, I was disconnected 4 times. No one would call me back. So every time I called back I had to give all of my verification information. It was ridiculous. They searched and searched for my documentation that I emailed to them, and they kept saying they are not finding it. I was even sending all of the documentation over and over, while I was on the phone with them. They need this documentation in order to physically send me a paper check. I called today to check in on the progress if any. The representative didn't have any updated information for me. I need some help. I do not know who else to contact about having my disputed money returned to me. I've done everything Green Dot bank has asked me to do. Calling them is very time consuming, due to every single representative I've spoken to has very broken English. Walmart Money Cards website says they are FDIC Insured. I know other banks, like Chase Bank for example, will give your money back immediately, and do the dispute right away. What upsets me the most, is it was bad enough to have been hacked once, then I locked my card per the advise of Green Dot Bank, and another $500 was taken exactly 2 weeks later. Someone wasn't doing their job at Green Dot bank, to have allowed $500 to be hacked from my account with there being a lock on my card. Can anyone please help me? Thank you.

Green Dot Fraud/ refund

I had called them months ago about $400 on my account being used I knew I did not authorized to be used since it was my rent money due the following week and the places the money was spent I never even heard about them. When I called they said they can only refund me $100 out of the $400 and went on to tell me that I must have made those purchases and forgot I made them. I went on to tell they need to refund me the whole $400 because I can prove to them I did not spend it. when looking up the places the money was spent it wouldn't even let the websites be brought up also I wasn't able to pay rent since that was my rent money.

Green Dot Unauthorized transactions

On 9/21/2021 I made a $100.00 cash deposit on my greendot card to make an online purchase. Over the next couple days I noticed some unauthorized transactions being made and my money being stolen from my greendot card. I contacted greendot and asked for an explanation and my money to be returned. Over the next few days I made several attempts to get my money back and the greendot customer service representatives I spoke to were uncooperative and rude to me and even making it sound like I was somehow at fault for the situation.

Desired outcome: I want my money back and and my account with greendot closed.

That's exactly what happened to me and its been months since i called and they said they would refund it someone spent $400 worth from my card and they told me they can only give me back $100 cause I must have made the other transactions and forgot I made them.

It won't verify my license, even though I've sent 10 different pictures of it. And now it's telling me something about length is too short I just want to use my money that I had to work my [censored] in the dirt for. You've already stolen money from me and I haven't even got the piece of [censored] verified by you lazy [censored] [censored]ers

Is that a long enough complaint?

Green Dot Claim

Prior to his passing, my nephew reported fraudulant charges on his greendot card. They did not fix this, so I have attempted to for months now. I have spent countless time on the phone, mailed several requested documents, only to be told today I didn't send the documents. I even have my certified receipts. I just have no proof of what I sent. They told me the case is closed now. Over $5000 gone.

Green Dot Green dot tax refund

I filed my taxes with intuit/ turbo tax. I opted to have my refund sent to green dot. I still have not received my refund money, I still have not received the card that I've been requesting for over a year now. I call the numbers to contact them numerous times and get the run around. Though it's a serious accomplishment to even be able to speak with anyone from this organization. I've mailed them to no avail as well. I have read numerous reviews about other people having the same issue. It's not right ! I want my money, I need it and I earned it.

Green Dot Refund service

Bought a moneypak reload card and will not deposit onto my card. Spoke too customer service and said my refund was processed on September 22nd 2021. I have not recieved no refund and when i try to get a live agent on the phone it's impossible. I called [protected] and [protected] all automated. Green Dot My friend has a problem receiving a $500.00 deposit returned

Based on a credit improvement concern, my friend elected to join Green dot Visa with a $500.00 deposit. Based on having used the Visa and paid on time the money owed, this company has refused to return the deposit to date based on having closed the account over three (3) ago. Ms. Shemika seems to be the only point of contact with limited resources to resolve the situation. Could not determine their address in which to file a complaint other than with their representative on the phone. The original deposit with the bank transaction is now being sought via a complaint to return said deposit.

Green Dot I have waisted hours upon hours trying to dispute my claim but the calls keep being dropped by green dot

I have since August when my card was cloned and money withdrawn from an ATM. I have placed 34 phone calls to Green dot trying to resolve my issue and every time nothing gets resolved because either they have an IT issue from what their people say or the call gets dropped and then I need to call back. The amount of time I've spent with this company trying to get a resolution is unbelievable and I think they need to find resolutions to this issue because people don't have their whole day to keep calling. They need to refund my money that was taken without my authorization and give me something for the amount of time I've spent calling their Philippine's call center and the Pasadena call center just to have nothing done but my call dropped repeatedly.

Desired outcome: Full refund of $773.50 plus my time at $28.00 per hour for a total of 8.24 hours $230.72
