Frigidaire Serial number 4a13800155 - side by side refrigerator

I have an issue with my appliance. I called Frigidaire for assistance as the product was still under warranty. This was November 2022. They sent a technician from dependable appliances who claimed the product was not working as it needed a fan. He ordered the fan however they did not get back to me until 2 weeks later after I called to inquire what was going on. The same technician came on December 15th and did not install the new fan. He said there was something else wrong with the refrigerator. After not hearing from them after 5 days I called Frigidaire and they sent another company. This technician came on December 27th told me that there was something wrong with the gasket and the rubber around the door and he would have to order the parts. After waiting another 2 weeks with no response I contact Frigidaire again who now assigned a 3rd company to repair the refrigerator. This 3rd company called to schedule the appointment but then said that they were not given sufficient information from Frigidaire and as such they cannot assist I would need to call back Frigidaire. I called Frigidaire and expressed this. They gave me a ticket number and advise that the company RTV Appliances would come the following day to look at the appliance. Again I did not receive a call and no one came to look at the appliance. I called frigidaire again and this time I was able to speak to a supervisor. Unfortunately I did not document the names of the people I spoke to each time. This supervisor assured me that she would get the issue resolved. She went back to the notes of the 2nd company that came and ordered the parts. She said the part would be shipped directly to me and then I should call the repair company to install it. I did not receive the parts. I waited 3 days after the date which the part should arrive and I did not get it.

I have been on the phone with a customer service representative who does not speak clear english. He/She is insisting that I go over the issue I am having from the beginning. He is also advising me that he cannot transfer me to a supervisor.

So to date it has been approximately 3 months that I have been in back and forth contact with Frigidaire and I still do not have a working appliance

Desired outcome: I need the appliance to be repaired or replaced and to be compensated for this extended loss of use and all the things that spoil in there

Frigidaire Professional gas cooktop

Hi,

I hope this message passes on to the correct personnel and they are able to address my issues.
The gas cook top was purchased on 25th June 2020, installed in Oct 2020 and it already had a burner valve issue in end of Nov 2020, when the knob would not rotate at all. A technician was scheduled by Frigidaire service department, and he ordered a part, but it so happened the knob started to rotate after a week the technician left, and we reported this back and no actions were taken.

Last Friday 13th Jan 2023, the knob valve of the smallest burner failed such that the gas would not stop, and it just keeps on flowing. The knob control does not work at all, too. We had to turn off the main gas line valve for this during this period of peak winter.
Frigidaire CSR just tells us that we are not under warranty and provided us few contacts and none of them is ready to come to our house for repairs.
This as I see is a safety issue and needs to be addressed urgently by Frigidaire rather than sitting back and saying it's not under warranty.

Desired outcome: We need this cooktop to be replaced with a good tested and a better designed cooktop such that its valve should not fail in a mnner to just let the gas keep on going and causing such safety hazard.

Frigidaire Range FGEH3047VFD

This range model is installed in many of the apartments in our retirement community, including ours. It is far too easy to turn on a burner accidentally by leaning against the front of the stove and moving ever so slightly, such as in reaching the back or reaching for something in a cabinet above. Several other residents have identified this fire danger as well and have adopted their own temporary strategies. In our case we have removed the knobs from burners not often used. In another, residents routinely use small skewer sticks wedged in behind knobs so that they cannot be pushed in accidentally. The problem is aggravated in small kitchens where counterspace is limited and combustible items are likely to be placed on unused burners, such as in the back. Although not wise to do this, it is commonly observed to occur. This product should be recalled, modified, or supplied with convenient removable chock of some kind to put behind knobs when not in use.

Desired outcome: Generic attention to this problem by the manufacturer before enough fire accidents occur to require a complete recall via CPSC.

Frigidaire Freezer model FFFU14F2QW serial WB61763694

Freezer broke August 2022 and customer service was called and was referred to RR Appliances. RR mechanic arrived 1-2 weeks later and replaced thermostat but freezer didn't work. Called Frigidaire and RR mechanic came 1-2 weeks after and hand touched thermostat and said it needed new compressor. Called Frigidaire and operator told me they were sending me parts. 2 weeks later RR replaced timer, filter and compressor. Freezer worked but next day did not work. Called Frigidaire requested to escalate call with supervisor but no results. more calls to Frigidaire were made and RR sent 2 mechanics and early November I was told that it needed a fan. Called Frigidaire and was told by operator that they would send me a part, Received part called RR and was told by a rude p[erson that it was short "2 screws" and would not let me speak and hungup. Have been receiving weekly texts from RR stating that part was on back order. Early this month I called Frigidaire and spoke to a Gretchen and told her that I don't want to hear or see RR appiances ever and don't to deal with Frigidaire anymore. WE are seniors persons and have felt being abused by your company.

Frigidaire Order not received

Hello I have placed an order back on December 14th 2022 - Order# [protected]

5 FPPWFU01 and still haven't received my package. I called the customer service stayed on the line for 1 hour before I spoke to a rep who couldn't help me then, was transfer to another department that mention they don't handle my type of call? I don't under stand who I need to talk to find out when I will be receiving my order. You guys sure charged me right a way for parts I haven't received. Frigidaire CFEF3016VS

I emailed complaint January 7 and January 9, 2023, with no response. Our 2yr new stove, stove door glass exploded all over our floor. The inner and outer glass is not broken, and we do not know where this glass is coming from.

It renders us with not stove, and we are a family of 5. The oven was not in use. We continue to see glass falling from the stove door. It is unacceptable that I have not had any response. I have also tried to phone in my concern/complaint and I was told to call back, because you the phone line was too busy. When I returned my call, I was placed on hold for over 1 hours.

Desired outcome: Compensation for a failed product. Upon further review, it appears that MANY Frigidaire ovens have the same failure.

Frigidaire Dishwasher

My dishwasher has been losing power for over 2 months now. I called Frigidaire and customer service said they were going to send a technician out well my husband took a vacation day from work on November 17, 2022 and at the time the technician was to be at my home the 3rd party technician company called and said that they have just received the job order and would have to come at a later day. Costing us a vacation day. I called Frigidaire again and told them what happened and asked for a new technician service to be sent. A new technician came and he found that a electrical strip was burnt out and replaced it. Great our dishwasher was fixed for 2 uses and then it did same as before lost all power while my husband lost 2 vacations days. Well here we go again calling Frigidaire customer service and again was told that they have to send a technician out I explained that my husband didn’t have the vacations days to take off again but Frigidaire promised that they would let the technician know that they were to come after 400. Good we thought! But then the day the technician came was during our work hours and the technician called my husband at work at 130 and my husband explained that Frigidaire said they had it handled. But again they rescheduled and again my husband had to take a vacation day off work so he would be there when the technician came. Well the technician called that morning and said he would be there before 5. Well 5 came and no technician came. So I contacted the technician company just to be told that a tree fell and the technician couldn’t come. Ok that’s 3 vacation days and still broken dishwasher. Well luckily on Friday December 30 I was off work for new year’s holiday and that’s when the technician came and he leveled the dishwasher and said that the latch was bent causing it not to have power. Wasn’t the same issue as the previous time. Well he left and I used my dishwasher a couple times and surely enough quit working again no power. I called Frigidaire customer service again on January 4,2023 and they said they would have to send a technician out and I refused another technician. And was unable to get anywhere with the individual who wasn’t American and couldn’t speak English hardly. So I called again on January 4and I was on hold 3 hours and finally when I got to customer service I asked for a manager and the person speaking said he was the manager and nobody was above him and I asked for his name and got hung up on. Well f finally the next day called eletrolux the maker of my dishwasher and told them my issue and she transferred my call back to Frigidaire customer service line where I was told that I needed another technician and I explained what I have been through and after begging she transferred my call to a lady who spoke American and she was of help she looked up the guys name who hung up on me and she said she was sending a form to Lowes in Ft Oglethorpe to have my dishwasher replaced and that I needed to call Lowes the next day and ask to speak to the RTM customer service. I was so happy and felt like a ton was lifted off my chest. Well I called low’s yesterday which was January 6,2023 and no one answered the phone in that Department. Well I called and spoke to a manager at Lowes this morning and just to be told that they haven’t received anything from Frididaire. I’m so disappointed and frustrated what’s left for me to do? It’s still under the 12 month warranty. HELP

Desired outcome: I want to return this dishwasher and replace it with a new one. I want a return authorization code sent to Lowes like I was told was done by a manager at Frigidaire on Thursday January 5,

Frigidaire Frigidaire professional series above stove microwave

To whom it may concern,

I am reaching out as a matter of total frustration in getting Frigidaire to resolve an issue with my microwave. I have spoken to your customer service department numerous times and been given the runaround along with numerous service company visits that don't remedy the issue. Below is the summary I sent via Frigidaire's customer chat function today 12/27/22:

I purchased an above-oven microwave about 18 months ago along with a 5-year Frigidaire warranty, it has been broken and not in use for over 3 months. I have had a service company come to my house 6+ times and now has parts on backorder. I need Frigidaire to get me a new microwave ASAP and end this product nightmare.

Frigidaire Orphis's to change from gas to propane.

Model number CPCS389EC5 Serial number NF70312989

Two times I have ordered orphis conversion kit from gas to propane. Neither time were their instructions as to what orphis went where for each burner. I had a gas man out and it was costly as I live in the country. He could not figure them out. He did not know what number for what burner Both times I ordered there were no instructions as to what one goes L front, Left back and right side Both places I ordered from can not find a copy of those instructions. It is a good stove, and that is such a small thing I need.

This is an older stove, the conversion kit number is [protected]. Please please please find the information and get it to me. I can not afford a new stove.

No water or ice from dispenser, we pulled the refrigerator from the wall and discovered the water line and ice maker lines on the back of the refrigerator created a big block of solid ice. And the back panel of refrigerator is rusted out. Sent 3 emails to [protected]@frigidaire.com and [protected]@electrolux.com with pics. No response. Told I had to schedule technician to come out for $79.99 to diagnose the problem. First appt on 12/22/22, no word. Called back and got rescheduled for 12/28/22. Technician told us this problem is rare and we were assigned a file #[protected] and to call customer service. Got no where.

Desired outcome: We would like some compensation towards a new refrigerator as this is a poor design.

Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher KH85023520

I purchased an extended warranty on my Frigidaire dishwasher purchased in 2019 due to remodeling of my kitchen. The dishwasher doesn't always drain and will stop mid-cycle. My first attempt to get it repaired was July, 2022. The repairman could not find any problem. August I was out of town, but when I returned, I continued to get an error code "55" or "120." I called again for service Oct, 10, 2022. Electrolux technician came and reported no problem. Another technician was called October 24th..no show. Another Electrolux technician came with a trainee on November 7th. They couldn't figure out how to get the dishwasher out of the cabinet. But said I needed a new sensor. I called my contractor who explained they should have removed the kick board on the dishwasher and he removed the dishwasher and left in less than 10minutes. Another technician came December 1st and said he thought I needed a new motor. Dec 12th another technician came and replaced the motor and sensor, but would not replace the dishwasher back into the cabinet due to liability issues since he didn't pull it out. He suggested I call customer care and set up another work order for a "master technician." I called and was promised a call back within 24 hours. I waited 3 days and called again. I spent 3 hours, twice disconnected and on hold. I finally "chatted" while on hold. On chat I was told no service would be sent. On the phone I was again promised a call back, which now has been two weeks since that has not happened. My dishwasher has sat outside the cabinet through Thanksgiving and Christmas now and no care from Frigidaire. There is a lack of knowledge by the technicians, false promises from the customer care phone representatives and a lack of transparency from Frigidaire. The technician on "Chat" cited warranty exception #9, but there is no trim or shelving keeping the technician from replacing the dishwasher, so this doesn't apply. Two of the technicians were not Electrolux technicians and told me they saw the job on the internet, but couldn't repair this issue.

Desired outcome: This has been an unresolved issue since July. I would like to be reimbursed in full for the cost to have my contractor come back to replace the dishwasher in the cabinet. The quote is attached. $228.59

Frigidaire Frigidaire microwave extended service warranty

We have had quite an ordeal with our microwave repair. We called the day after noting a smoky smell in the unit. We were initially told that they were not sure they had a repair person in our area and should call back. We called back and were told a repair team would be calling. The local repair person called within a few days, but could only come to our area on a Monday. Since it was a Monday when they called, it was two weeks before they could come since our next Monday was not an option due to prior plans. When the repair person came, they found signs of electrical burns within the unit and advised us to turn off the breaker and avoid using due to fire hazard. They were told by Frigidaire to replace the burned turntable, but no other repairs were offered. We have not used the unit again due to the fire hazard. My wife has tried to contact Frigidaire for extended service warranty, but the phones were initially off and the chat online was not clickable. A week later after getting through Christmas, I am on hold again for 45 minute wait and the online chat still does not work. We are not willing to risk a fire in our house with children because Frigidaire will not listen to their onsite technician. I am appalled.

Frigidaire Range oven not working

I bought this range on the last week of January and 4 months after the oven stop working I couldn’t get it to turn I called Frigidaire and they scheduled a repair appointment after the second visit they got it “repaired” the next day I wanted to use the one oven and surprise the oven was not turning on, called again got another appointment they order some parts had to schedule another appointment once the parts got here they put them on and still oven wasn’t working again scheduled the 5th appointment and said they would order another part by this time it was already the first week of September I called Frigidaire again and they send a new company to repair the range on the first appointment they came order some parts and on the second appointment on the last week of September it was “finally repaired” and today December 26 the oven again will not turn on my warranty is going to expire in less than a month I am going to be stock with a range that does no even work

Desired outcome: Please send a new range that actually works after some many attempts of fixing with this one it is clear it’s a factory default

Frigidaire Rip off. Range is dangerous. Model FGEH3047VFD. They will not replace range. Only 1 month old.

Fire Hazard! purchased a range on 11/19/2022. On 12/19/2022 I did a self clean on the oven. My home was very smoky and it had a high fume. The oven was not heavily soiled. On the next morning I attempted to used the oven and it would not preheat. Unfortunately, I lost my dish I was preparing since the oven wouldn’t heat. The oven is only one month old. The oven is a fire hazard. Please don’t leave unattended. A service technician can out and said the circuit board was burned up and the oven probably reach 1000 degrees during the cleaning process. The technician is only allowed to replace the circuit board. Unfortunately the parts aren’t available. I am without an oven during holidays. It has interrupted my income since I can’t complete my orders for cakes. And prepare dinner. Never purchase any appliances from Frigidaire they do not stand behind their products and they don’t care about their customers. Safety hazard and dangerous.

Frigidaire Built in Frigidaire microwave

I bought a new built-in Frigidaire microwave 9/26/22 from Lowe's in Horseheads. Microwave was installed at end of October 2022, with kitchen remodel. It was used 3 times and started losing power after 3 minutes of use. I called Lowe's who says their return policy is 48 hours with "major appliances" and would need to go through Frigidaire direct. I called Frigidaire/Electrolux who sent a repair man, Bryan from Fix-It Rite, who noted that the control panel, vent motor and fan motor all needed to be replaced, "not even sure if it's that" and was told that Frigidaire could probably get the parts sooner. Called Frigidaire again and after speaking to multiple representatives, asked for a supervisor. On 11/23/22, I asked to speak to a Supervisor and got Amberlynn. She got in touch with Fix it Rite who was ordering the motors and Frigidaire would order control panel. I was told by Frigidaire "the item was in stock" and she placed a parts order [protected] on 11/23/22 @13:23/01 EST for control panel [protected]. At that time, I asked if a new microwave could just be sent and they told me "no, that only happens after 3 failed repairs". On the parts order it said shipping 7-10 days. Called again 12/6/22 and the part still was not shipped. Here it is 12/21/22 with no microwave and no progression.

Desired outcome: I would like a new Microwave. This was only used 3 times, for a total of less than 12 minutes.

Frigidaire Refrigerator

I purchased my Frigidaire refrigerator in October 2021. In October 2022, before a full year my fridge stopped working. It would no longer get cold. When I called to schedule an appointment, I could not get an appointment for over a week. Then when the technician came out, he evaluated the issue for 5 minutes and stated he had to order parts but, their main computer system was down, and he did not know when he would be able to get the parts because they were using a manual spreadsheet to order parts. The technician also stated he did not have a date/time of when he would be able to return to my home to complete the repairs. At this point a few weeks had passed and I did not hear from anyone (Frigidaire) with any updates. I reached out to Frigidaire. I spoke with a representative but, she couldn't provide me with any updates. I was given the run around until I finally was able to reach a supervisor. Long story short, Frigidaire said that they could finally complete the repairs almost a month later but, at this point I had to replace my fridge because, I not only have a child in my home to feed, but the Thanksgiving holiday was coming up. I lost hundreds of dollars' worth of food that could not be replaced. The technician never reached out, and I had to contact the company again to cancel. The company decided to only replace the extended warranty amount I had placed on the fridge. However, I paid for two additional warranties, one during the purchase but, I only received reimbursement for one. After this, my complaint went cold.

Desired outcome: I would like to receive additional compensation. Therefore, I request at least partial payment of the initial fridge I purchased in 2021.I do not have just $1000.00 to give away due to the fridge malfunctioning within months.

Frigidaire ice maker Model #EFIC117-SS

Sept 19, 2022 I began e-mail conversation about a defective Frigidaire ice maker (case #CF092722430429). The support center instructed me as to all information needed for the warranty process. I sent the bill of sale; pics of the unit front and rear; a clear pic of model and serial number and detailed information of defect.

On Sept 29 I received an e-mail with instructions to return the Frigidaire ice maker to TRIUS,1000 East 223rd St., Carson, CA 90745. I followed all instructions and sent it to this address by UPS and then was notified Oct. 24, 2022 the refund request had been approved; expect a check on its way. Date issued: 10/21/22; Tracking #[protected]; by FedEx G. (I tried tracking this number several times and it said so such tracking number was found)

Once I received the check I was to notify them.

I have since tried to contact the address e-mail ([protected]@curtiscs.com) repeatedly and no one responds back to me. The refund was to be $99.00.

The customer support rep from Curtis International Ltd was Samantha Love.

Desired outcome: The refund check of $99.00 that was approved to be sent to me

Frigidaire Laundry center dryer failed, nothing fixes it!

I bought a Laundry Center from Lowes not two years ago. The dryer stopped working at the end of September, I had not renewed the warranty. I paid $350 for a trusted repair man to check it out, order a part, and the 1st dryer board as suggested by customer support @Frigidaire. He come back and replaced it. That did not work, he told me there are no diagnostic tools for this unit. I called the brand and complained, and they sent the two more boards to the repair office, the same repair man came out and replaced them both and that did not work.

Next, the repairman replaced the wire harness for the dryer, its still does not work. When he called customer care for what to do next, he was told they were no longer allowed to communicate with him. That the issue has been accelerated. I was told the same thing by Social Care.

I was called by a secretary, the number stated unknown, so she called three times and said that because I did not have an extended warranty they could not help. That was before the wire harness was replaced.

Social care wrote back: Hi Karen, We see our Executive Liaison is now assisting you with this matter. We ask that you continue to work directly with her for further assistance. -Bianca

No one has contacted me since. I have paid over $600 in repairs so far and no one can tell me if this machine is fixable.

Desired outcome: Reimbursement for labor, rather get a new machine that works!

Frigidaire Oven

On 12/14/22, I went to put food in the oven to cook and the window door to the oven exploded, shattering glass everywhere. I just moved into the new home 1yr and 1 month ago. It missed my face by inches. That ran my blood pressure and up. I have been getting the run around all day with. The risk management department said I should contact the customer engagement center. They keep hanging up on me.

Desired outcome: Christmas is coming up and I need a oven to cook with.
