alignment
I purchased your lifetime alignment about one year ago. I been to your shops 7 plus times within the year because my SUV, 2012 Ford Escape, is not aligned and the steering wheel is to the left about two ticks. The front right tire and passenger rear right are in the red when they give me the alignment printouts. The last time I went was around 12-05-2023 and that's when they said they had to place shims on it but did not have them for my Ford Escape. I feel and have proof that the alignment was never done and I paid for the lifetime service for nothing when they never aligned my vehicle. Could I ask for a refund? My bank said I needed to talk to you first... Glenn Brown [protected]@hotmail.com
Claimed loss: Other shops said they were supposed to place "shims" inside the wheel to complete alignment
Desired outcome: refund

Brakes installed in october 2023 on my car - brake light remains on and drains battery
My MB GLK 350 was towed to Firestone Monday December 11th after discussing with James on Saturday Dec 9th. and reported the brake indoor light on my dash was staying illuminated and the brakes are very "tight" as well as (after hitting a pothole - the brake lights in back of car remained on and I could not turn them off) thus the battery drained making car inoperable. (Yes, I bought a new battery in July 2023 from Napa (a very good one) so it is not the battery.)
James was helpful and I arranged for a tow to the company they work with - Haas Towing, which he said they would pay for. They did not.
The "Master Mechanic" said they did nothing with the wiring, but my car is still not working. He said that they don't touch the wiring. So, I called again on Wednesday as I had to get a rental on Tuesday and spoke to manager Ben. I told him I spoke to a retired mechanic I know, and he said the brake pedal may have been tightened up too much or too little thus the brake lights remain on. I told Ben that and asked him to look at loosening up the peddle and check to make sure everything is in tac. He said he would and would call me back in an hour. He never called.
I reported the issue to State Farm/my insurance as I thought maybe when I hit the pothole something came loose. Since the brake light has been on for several weeks before any damage to the undercarriage, I assumed they were installed incorrectly. Since Ben lied to me about calling me back, I called and again spoke to James and asked why Ben would lie to me about getting back to me... he said he didn't know and was off for the weekend. So, I again told James my car is still sitting at Firestone-what are the next steps?
I finally received a call from Ben yesterday who was quite agitated. I told him I never heard back from him, and he ignored my questions and went right into a dialogue about..."I was untruthful", "Look Lady", "You obviously don't know about your car", etc., and many other disrespectful things he said over me, interrupting me and my questions. I have never been spoken to so disrespectfully in all my life. He talked over me arguing and refusing to call me by my name and blew off my questions with continues interruptions and told me HE has talked to my insurance company (I did not authorize this) and that he and the insurance company agree that neither are responsible for any damage. And he told me to get my car off his store lot. And he hung up on me.
Claimed loss: $5000.00 - Brakes/Car/Rental/Towing/Emotional Distress. Mercedes-Benz will be happy to fix the problem for you.
Desired outcome: The above dollar amount plus a written apology to me from Ben.

Went in for oil change and mechanics cracked my oil housing
I went in for an oil change 11/28 that cost close to 100$, the following day 11/29 I noticed oil leaking onto my driveway, which did not happen before. on 11/30 I went into the shop to ask them to check it out. I was then confronted by matt who stated "the oil housing is cracked and its very common", then stated I will contact you with a good quote on to...

The three tires were balanced but the 4th left rear tire was not balanced. Mechanic claimed the special wheel stud was stucked and cannot get the tire out. I was given about $215.00 to fix it. So many years the car is being serviced with no issues and suddenly the special stud does not work on the fourth tire but worked on the rests of the tires. Maybe in previous wheel balancing the stud was not properly inserted or placed, over tightened or put incorrect special wheel stud.
The same thing happened on the same day when oil filter was not replaced by which the mechanic claimed he did. After showing the proof, he finally acknowledged he forgot to replace the filter, therefore they replaced it.
The complainant name is : Bernardo B. Calimlim with an email: [protected]@yahoo.com
Claimed loss: $215.00 or more
Desired outcome: I want to get the problem fix at no cost on my part including a new special wheel stud.

While out of town, I started having an issue with my suv, the mechanic told me it was my actuators. On returning home I took it to firestone for a diagnostic engine analysis and complete inspection plus. It was actuator door problem plus coolant leaks etc. On 10-03, 2023 I dropped it off for repairs.
I was told it would take 2 weeks, because the dashboard had to be removed to get to actuator doors. On 10-25-2023 I was called that it was ready. My bill was $2,568.32, I paid it. Then I was told i'd still hear clicking cause the doors were hitting the heater box, it would be about $2,000+ to repair that, because the dashboard would have to be taken out again to get to heater box... Why didn't they call and tell me and do the heaterbox when they had the dashboard out to fix the actuators?
Thank you, ossie merriweather

Tire repair
On 11/03/2023 I went to Firestone for a tire repair. My wife left had a slow leak in the left front tire. I could here air coming out in the middle of the tire they put a plug in the tire and showed it to me. Then after 10 minutes I was told the tire needed tdo be replaced. The tires have 18.000 miles on them. I wanted the old tire to contact Firestone to see if there was a warranty since the tires only had low miles. Roy refused to give me the tire. I called tfhe next day and asked him if I could come down to pick up the tire. He said the tire was not there and that it was disposed. He then offered me 10.00 dollars back. I knew then something was wrong very very shady. I feel I was taken advantage of. I called my Credit Card company to dispute the charge. I hope we can resolve this the right way. Carmine Santopolo.
I knew when Roy said the tire was disposed that something was wrong. Then he said I will give you 10.00 dollars back. I know there was nothing wrong with the tire they put the plug in. The Mgr Roy is a very shady person. A firestone Rep should look into this. Carmine Santopolo.
Montgomery, IL store
I made an online appointment to today 11/04/23 to get an wheel alignment at appx 2pm for the appointment to be at 5pm. As I am on my way there at 4pm to the appointment, I get a call from firestone (Ruben) telling me that he doesn't have anyone there to do a wheel alignment. He then went on t the reservation and confirmed my request. When I called him to asked why he confirmed it after he told me he didn't have a mechanic to perform the job, he informs me that he couldn't cancel it in his system. It looks as if I cancelled the appointment. Again another way to make the the numbers favor the store which is not the case. I think this is the poorest excuse ever. You want me to believe that you only have limited mechanics to do limited repairs? All of the mechanics are trained to do wheel alignments. I have spent thousands on top of thousands at firestone. this really has me looking at moving my business to another repair shop all together.
Claimed loss: respect and loyalty
Desired outcome: Investigate the Ruben who called and fire him. Or have my request granted as soon as possible at a substantial rebated cost or free.

Wheel alignment
My SUV came in to get a wheel alignment. After getting new tires. Vehicle drove fine. During the wheel alignment technician was seen adjusting the suspension height, from the tortion bars adjuster. This was an authorized. When she confronted him and said, is it normal for you guys to touch that for a wheel alignment ? He said no but it was so far off he said. My wife then called me saying the guy is working on something underneath the middle of the car. But he’s done now. We are both very mechanically inclined and have a small auto garage where we do custom builds. I was surprised she was still at the shop, It was nearly 3 hours later. Just imagine your other half stuck at the shop waiting…she was not happy!
The next day, when I’m driving the vehicle, I noticed it slightly pulling towards the left. Not a lot, but it will always wonder to the left, and you will have to keep more resistance on the steering wheel than usual. Another issue we were dealing with after the alignment was the right tire, rubbing when turning. I thought to myself I better take it back before I screw up my new tires. However, this is easier said than done as we both work everyday. I could visibly see the vehicle lower on one side. So I crawl underneath and look at the torsion adjustments, and what do you know bolt? The locking nuts are inches away from where they supposed to be. and the adjuster itself is almost stripped.
I put the lift on that vehicle myself two years ago so the suspension is practically brand new, since I don’t off-road we only stay on the pavement.
I’m gonna be definitely missing work tomorrow to get the vehicle fixed. I’m worried about the bolt that’s stripped.
Do I have to buy it out of my own pocket and pay for the repairs for it to get changed? This is all ridiculous.! I just found out about the loose bolts tonight and I’ve been driving my family in it every night! I have video but it’s too large to upload.
Claimed loss: $120 for missing work to come get this fixed. $100 for a new torsion bar anchor bolt and inner fender liner splash shield.
Desired outcome: Compensation for losses. This was unauthorized work, vehicle came in to check wheel alignment not adjust suspension. Technician should’ve declined to work on vehicle if there was a problem that needed to be addressed.
Car tampering
Scheduled an oil change and 4 tire replacement. Tires were scuffed and dirty. The rim lubricant was sloppy and all over the tire rims. But the main complaint is that they turned off my back lights for some reason. I'm driving my car for a week and get stopped by police stating I had no back lights, only when I brake. There is absolutely NO reason to mess with my car light dial to change 4 tires and an oil change!

This is the complaint I sent to their Corporate Office.
Didn’t Repair, Caused more damage.
I need someone from corporate to get in touch win me ASAP about this issue. It started late May and dragged on until early August. First problem, I went online and was guided to make an appointment at my local Firestone close by. When I showed up at the facility, The person behind the counter was very rude and dismissive. When I told him I had made an appointment online, he stated that they didn’t do that(?). Then when I proceeded to tell him about a suspected leak, and that my car was running hotter than usual. He said they didn’t do checks, and basically just gave short, acute answers to all my questions. Not wanting to argue, I just left. The next day I called, made an appointment, and dropped my car off after explaining that I believe I had some sort of leak, and the temperature issue. A few days later I was told that I had my water pump had failed, and that my radiator fan was not working. Later that day, and $1400, I picked up my vehicle, and immediately noticed that my water gauge was leaning toward the hot side, which was exactly the reason I dropped it off in the first place, and I could smell coolant. I was headed out of town, so I parked the car for and traveled for a couple of weeks.
When I got back in the car, I noticed again that the gauge was still on the hot side. I drove it to see if it would right itself, but it never did. I took it back to Firestone for them to check it out. I was told that they could find nothing wrong. So reluctantly, I took my car back home, and barely used it because on
the way home, once again, the gauge stayed toward the hot side. Days later I had to use it to pick up a friend from the airport, which is 10 minutes from my house. On the way there, my gauge actually went fully to hot, twice on the way there, and twice on the way back. When I stopped, I could see smoke coming from my engine, and smell coolant. I took it back to firestone, and after about a few days later, I was told that I had a manifold Leak, but the person responsible for fixing those was on vacation, and so it would be a while before they could get to it. A week later, I was told that they recommended that I take it to the dealer, because the component needed to fix it was proprietary. When I asked why I needed to pay for another repair, when they worked on a leak that obviously got worse after they worked on it. And the same person that was rude last time, I think he’s a manager, explained away and made excuses as to why they wouldn’t honor their warranty and correctly repair my vehicle.
Thanks to their incompetence and inability to repair my vehicle, I had to take it to a dealer, and several weeks, and $7,000 later, I finally have my car back, but it still isn’t the same since before I turned it in to Firestone.
I fully expect Firestone to right their wrongs, repair my vehicle, and reimburse me for the extra expenses that their negligence incurred. I’m sending this to you directly, to give you a chance to right this wrong,
before I start reporting this incident to other entities. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
UPDATE: contacted them and they requested that someone come out and inspect the vehicle to determine if their negligence caused the problem. After explaining to them that I did as the repair shop suggested and took it from their shop to a ford dealer. This was his response.

Charles,
I apologize for your frustrations and troubles with the current leaks. These current leaks are not in relation to our service, and the repairs have already been altered. At this time Bridgestone will be denying your claim.

This is unacceptable. Clearly the fact that they never repaired my car correctly in the first place, and that trained professionals couldn’t find an obvious leak, led to progression of the leak. I gave them a chance to correct this issue, now I will just keep reporting them until they honor their warranties and take responsibility for ruining my vehicle.
Desired outcome: reimbursement for all the repairs caused by their negligence. about $10,000
Town & Country Ford Corporate Offices
I took my vehicle in to have a manifold leak repaired, and for them to check my clutch since it seemed to have problems after being repaired. after a week I was told what the problems were, and that they were waiting on parts. The manager at that time promised to take care of me, and even negotiated a price decrease. 2 weeks after I dropped my car off, I went to pick it up, and it immediately wouldn't start. I turned the key, and everything just shut off. Michael, and the mechanic that worked on it, stated that that was odd, since they just pulled it out of the bay, and after it got started, he mentioned a vibration, maybe due to a motor mount. I thought all this was odd, since these problems were not present when I brought the car in, but they jumped the car off and I took it home, parked it, and went out of town for the weekend. I did notice that it rode pretty rough, clutch loose, and lots of vibration. When I got in it to get work on Monday. it did the same thing it did at the dealership. tried to turnover but didn't and made some kind of horrible noise. I called the dealership and explained to the mechanic and told him that it wouldn’t start. he immediately asked if that was the part they worked on. and then told me that I needed to get the car towed into the dealership to get it repaired. Several phone calls, later, I ended up having to get my car towed, at my own expense, to the dealership. later that day, received an estimate for almost $500 in more repairs. I needed my car, so I authorized it, fully intending to file this complaint after I got my car back. The next morning, I got a new invoice, telling me that now the cost for repairs would be close to $3,000.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse, I was then told that the part that was needed wasn’t available, and they needed to order a used part, with no warranty, to compete the repairs, and it would take a week to arrive. At this point, I felt I had no choice but to do everything to get my car back, so again, begrudgingly, I authorized it. After not hearing from anyone for over a week, I called to check on my vehicle. I was transferred around, 3 times, and then just got hung up on. On Monday I finally received a call about the situation where I’m told that the part came in, and was unusable, so they had to order a new one. (why was ford using a used part, anyway?). So once again, I played the waiting game. A week later, I was told my car was finally ready. I went to pick it up, drove it to a gas station to fill up. Got back in it, and it wouldn’t start! IT DID THE SAME THING IT DID AT THE DEALERSHIP WHEN I PICKED IT UP THE FIRST TIME, AT MY APARTMENT, AND NOW, AFTER I PICKED IT UP FOR THE THIRD TIME! Not only would it not start, but it when I turned the key, everything shut off, so it’s obviously not just a battery/alternator problem. I immediately called the service department, but I didn’t get an answer. I asked the dealership about being able to bring it back and leaving it, and they said that I could. Myself, and 3 other people, including the owner of the gas station, tried several times to jumpstart it, with no success, once again, nothing turned on when I turned the key. I had to call AAA to bring a tow truck, who thought to try to jump it one more time, because he had a new $800 jump box.
We finally got it started and he followed me back to the dealership. Right before I turned it off, the car started acting very erratic, revving up and down, electronics cutting on and off, message center flashing different messages, etc. The next day I received a call from the service department, and they said that somehow the positive battery post had slipped off and was just sitting on the top. I’m 59 years old, have been driving since I was 14. I know when a battery cable is not on, and that alone wouldn't cause all the problems that I’ve been experience since I received my vehicle back, and I have 3 people who will testify to the fact that a loose battery post was not the problem. After picking up my vehicle for the 4th time, it started, but it starts rough, sounds like a truck, and runs horribly with a lot of vibration. When I dropped my car off those many weeks ago, (this entire process has taken almost 2 months!), I ONLY HAD A WATER LEAK!
This is ridiculous! Obviously, when I picked up my car the first time, it was not repaired. and if you warranty your work, why was this not warrantied? I took my vehicle to Ford fully aware it would be more expensive but at least the work would be warrantied and guaranteed. The then Manager, Michael, who I learned was terminated later on the day I picked my car up, told me that if there was any problem, just call back. (Maybe he was fired for being too nice!). If I had known that the total amount for repairs would surpass $7,000, I would have declined to have it repaired and use that money to purchase another vehicle. As of Today, I have spent over $7,000 in repairs, & $160 in towing, over $500 in rental car fees, and my car is still running worse than it was when I took it in.
At this point, I think my vehicle should be repaired correctly at minimal, or no cost to me, as I was not completely made aware of how much was needed.
I feel unsafe driving my vehicle right now, as it sounds like it’s about to break down again at any moment. I get severe anxiety every time I turn the key, fearing that I’ll be stuck again. Please respond to me as soon as possible,
I’m hoping this can be resolved quickly with you before reporting this to other entities.
Had tires put on chrome wheels and they put wheel weights on the face of my wheels
Took it back and asked them to fix the problem but said I didn’t tell them to not put weights on front face of wheels and acted like it was my fault because I didn’t tell them how to do there job when I drive truck it is unbalanced and shakes bad they were very unprofessional… I have a lot of business to send your way but I don’t feel like it was handled well at all
