Firestone Complete Auto Care Wrong diagnosis

Hello,

My Name is Damon Plumides in Charlotte N.C at [protected]. We have a Firestone account under my wife's name Rhiannon Hendren, where we have had plenty of service work in the past at the 13834 Steel Creek Rd. location. We have a 2013 KIA Soul that stopped and wouldn't start last week, so I had it towed to that location to see what the problem was. After they got around to looking at it, I was called and told my engine had seized up and needed a new engine. I was also told that Firestone did not do engines. I have a mechanic we have had for many years, but he only accepts cash. I had it towed to him and began looking for a used engine. These are very hard to find right now and very expensive. I found one here in Charlotte for $2,900 with 89,000 miles on it and he said he would put it in for $600. I went to the bank and took out a personal loan to buy and pay for it. The engine was paid for and set to be delivered to him when he called me and said he took the engine out like I asked him to but there was nothing wrong with it. I cancelled the purchase of the used engine. He said I needed a starter and a clutch. I ordered a starter online for $110 and got a clutch for $230 at Advance Auto. He had to put my engine back in with the other repairs, but he saved me quite a bit of money. I of course had to pay extra for him to put the engine back in. I would like to know Firestone's thoughts on this as you almost cost me $3,500 for your mistake. By the way the car is fixed already, and I picked it up yesterday after I dropped off the parts 9 and picked it up at 2:30. I can be reached at [protected].

Best Regards,

Damon Plumides

Firestone Complete Auto Care Appointment not honored, and paid for service I did not request

My reservation #:[protected]. I requested an online appointment on May 4, 2022, for 4pm eastern at the Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, VA Firestone location and it was not honored. The individual said they do not go by online service requests. He only has 2 mechanics working and Online request doesn't reflect the work being performed day to day. He could not do a wheel alignment, oil change, tire rotation, and check for nails, or proper air. I begged him to call another location to service my vehicle, he called the Lake Harbour Dr, Midlothian branch Firestone. I spent 2 days at that location and paid for service I did not request. The service I requested the 1st day at that location was a wheel alignment, oil change, tire rotation, and check for nails, and proper air level. They fooled me and did not honor my request and made me believe I was getting the service I requested. Instead, they had me to believe I needed my brake fluid changed, gas filter, rear lights. I was haggled into purchasing and persuaded into buying because to prevent "being stopped by the police". I was haggled into acquiring a credit card to pay for the work they convinced me I needed. After driving my vehicle home, and noticed it wasn't aligned, I called the Lake Harbour Dr, Midlothian branch Firestone, I was told to bring my vehicle back early to get it done. I returned to the store on May 5th and was told I did not request a wheel alignment, that's why the service wasn't done. I was also given an estimate of a kit I needed to get my vehicle aligned properly, and that the vehicle maker Ford did not make the vehicle correctly. I was afraid, ashamed and felt dominated by Men. My vehicle has been aligned before by Firestone and evetime I have to pay them $500.00 more or less to get my vehicle aligned. I am tired of purchasing more tires, and or other service I don't need, can't afford, and didn't request.

Desired outcome: My vehicle aligned, and any damage to my tires, because I had emergency hospital visits and had to drive my vehicle. I want my money back for the service I did not request.

Firestone Complete Auto Care tire repair technician

I have a Ford econoline... One of my tire needed a plug...

I had AAA put the spare on and took my tire to you for fixing.

When I went to pick it up, your technician ( 03 mitch on my invoice ) did not want to have anything to do to

place the spare back where it goes under the van claiming he did not have tools.

I offered the tool that came with the van. He refused. So he dumped the spare inside ...telling me to go to Ford ?...

I am 83 y old and you offer complete auto care...? Ford econolines have been around for many years ...No tools for that ?

I went to Ford ...only by appointment in 2 weeks +( lack of help )...I am on the road back to NY from SC...what do I do...Finally found a human being after 2 days...There is no way I can do this myself.

Interesting ? jean valiquette

PS. Mark the Service advisor was very nice but off when I went for the pick up.

Desired outcome: Hire Human Beings .....This was bad will at its best..

Firestone Complete Auto Care investigator service Case#5RS1-13778

The private investigator of Firestone Complete Auto Care claim that he does not have anything on Firestone concerning faulty repairs on the repair shop. I explained on the phone to the private investigator that he does have something me as a witness that Firestone tech mechanic did something to my 2008 Suzuki XL in secrete mechanic wise in order for my car not to start. I blew up as entertainment star so the mechanics at Firestone thought I had the money in secrete and did something extra to it like I had money to waste. Plus I complained that he charged me to much for breaks with a continuous arguing factor case complaint that caused retaliation that also made Firestone Complete Auto Care do something wrong to my 2008 Suzuki XL 7 circulated around on the streets.

Firestone Complete Auto Care I am complaining about Firestone's customer service.

My name is Nicole Fisher and I have a 2012 Honda CRV. On Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at approximately 7:00 AM, I dropped my car off at the Firestone in Abington, PA. The address is 1475 Old York Road, Abington, PA 19001. I dropped my car off to get an oil change and to check my brakes. Sometime during the day, Danielle, the store manager called me to tell me that I needed front brakes, front rotors, back brakes, and back rotors. We discussed my options and I decided to get the back brakes and back rotors. I told her I would come back to get the front brakes and front rotors. I checked my finances and called her back and told her I would also get the front brakes and front rotors done. She said okay. I called back in the afternoon and asked would my car be ready by 4:00pm or 4:30pm. She said she didn’t know but it would definitely be ready today. She said we close at 7:00pm but they were working late. I said okay. I went to Firestone at about 4:30PM and my car was not ready. Danielle was not there. I talked to the man working at the desk, Mr. Markee or Marquis Dare. He said my car was still being worked on. I said okay. I said Danielle said my car would be ready today and that you guys were working late. I told him I was going to go somewhere and come right back and just sit here until my car is ready. I told him to let me know if I should not sit here and wait. I said call Danielle and let me know what I should do. He said I could wait. I went to the store and came back and he basically then said I shouldn’t wait. The girl working on my car was having trouble getting something off in reference to the wheel. They said the master technician would be in the next day at 7:00 AM.

Side note: I had to get someone to meet me when I dropped my car off, take me to pick my car up, car was not going to be ready that day, take me home, pick me back up in the morning and drop me off to get my car the next day. I missed work at my second job on the first day because my car was not ready. I missed time at my first job on the second day because I had to come back to get my car the next morning. I came to firestone 4 times which is a lot of gas money right now.

At this point the service I received from Firestone was poor. I asked if I could be discounted on something and the answer was no. I already gave you discounts. I was given the same coupons that I can get off line and an additional $60 off because my bill was very high and I was getting a lot of work done. I was given the coupons and discount before all of these other things happened.

When I first started coming to Firestone, this company was GREAT, when Chad was there it was good. My sister referred me to come to Firestone years ago and I was pleased with the service. However, over the last 2 – 3 years the service has really been poor. I continued to come back because I said they will do better. My 2 sisters, my mom, and myself would come faithfully. Now (the last 2 -3 years) when we come it is always an issue. One of my sisters refuses to come back. I really try to give Firestone a chance and it is always an issue. This last time was the worst.

Desired outcome: I would like some sort of cash refund. I do not really want to bring my car there anymore.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Brake services

Never go to firestone store at Livingston NJ. The two black store managers are very rude and unethical. They always lied to you and tried to push sell you unnecessary services and parts. If you declined their additional services, then they came back with price hike on original agreement/or promotion items. Stay away from this one.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Oil Change

29200 Plymouth Rd, Livonia, MI 48150 at 8 am

I scheduled an 8 am Oil change for 04-2-22, and when I arrived the gentleman stated I had an oil change in July 2021 at 57000 miles and I am not due for an oil change. I asked why the firestone oil change sticker in my window states I am due for an oil change at 10,008 miles, which I am currently at 10,809 miles. The firestone worker stated that firestone do not place stickers in the cars stating the miles for next oil change, but rather, place stickers in the car set at miles when the oil was change. Clearly this is not true, as I have the oil change sticker that states my oil is to be changed at 10,008 miles. I would not want anything to happen to my engine due to a minor misunderstanding. Finally, he stated that I would not be due for an oil change for another 12,000 miles. Wow, this would place me at 12,009, which he is stating that I should have an oil change every 6309 miles? Sorry that I did not receive this gentleman's name, but he is blond head Caucasian gentleman that would have been working on 4-2-22 at 8 am.

Desired outcome: I would like clarification on this matter and if I in fact am due for an oil change, I think I should receive some sort of compensation for time wasted and an untruth.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Gave back wrong rim

I took my vehicle into the West Main location on 3/26/2022 and when the car was return and it had the wrong rim on it. I called the West Main location and they refuse to return the correct rim and I place a complaint by calling the corpaorte1-800 number. Once the represenative called me 36 hours later then they sent it to their claims department. Seth Byrd called me on 4/1/2022 and told me he spoke with the store manage and stated they had no reason to take my rim and why would they talke just one rim. I told him I couln't answer that question and then proceeded to tell me about some numbers referring to the tire and I indiated that I did not understand about the numers he was speaking about. He then told they had no proof showing I was given the wrong rim and I could call my insurance and place a claim and the police to make a police report. I told him I was going to call Firestone again and sheak with this supervisior. He then said he would contatc her to give her his notes.

Desired outcome: I would like the replacemne of my rims or a refund for the cost.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Motor mount repair

This started on around Oct 26 2021 and is still not resolved. My daughter took her car to firestone store 9502 Nall Ave, Overland Park, KS 66207 store #023760 for a simple upper motor mount replacement. After she got her car back the repair failed, and the motor dropped and as you can imagine messed up some things. Had to have it towed back to firestone. They tried blaming it on everything but a bad repair. The even tried saying that because the motor had been changed that is what caused it. yes, the motor had been changed 6 months before their repair had been done. They repaired the motor mount but did not check for any damage that may have accrued when the motor fell. So, when the motor fell it hit the idler pully and cracked the timing cover and loosened the idler pully and the pully came lose and the serpentine belt flew off. It was late at night, and we had the car towed to my son’s house because it was closes place tell we can figure out what was going on. The next day my daughter called firestone and they said they would not repair it because we did not have it towed their first. After some back and forth they finally said they would fix it. my daughter went to check on her car and they said they had to change the timing cover and were going to charge her even though that was damage from when the motor fell. Well, they said that they would have to charge my daughter to make the repairs for their bad repair job. we had to call corporate and get them involved so they then said they would fix it. after that they said the motor had a misfire and they were going to change the motor. Now the motor was fine when all this started. They told my daughter they were going to change the motor at no charge. That should have been a big red flag. Well after changing the motor they said she could pick it up and when she did, we now have a severe exhaust leak and she drove it about 4 miles and the check engine light came on. She called about 15 min after picking up the car about the exhaust leak and was told it was an existing thing. so why does your check engine light come on when you just got another motor. Did they not scan after changing the motor. Well after having another mechanic look at it the severe exhaust leak was caused by them not tightening the exhaust manifold down and missing nuts. Hoses and wire brackets were not bolted back down the car was almost out of coolant. Just to think if we would not have taken the car they’re for a motor mount repair we would still have a drive able car. We have pictures of all this to show what we are claiming. Invoice number 194189 we are still finding thing wrong that are related to the motor change and their work.

Firestone Complete Auto Care prices

My name is Steve Judd & I own a 2009 Chevrolet Suburban. My phone # is [protected].

In October, 2021 we had ONE brake repaired & were charged $382! I immediately filed a complaint at that time against the Firestone Store located at 19560 Cochran Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33948.

Someone immediately called us from your customer service dept & offered us a free oil change & said it was a value of $114. He said it would be "on file" and that when we went to schedule, it would pop up.

I just tried to schedule said "free oil change" & Justin, the mgr. (who waited on us at the time of of brake job)said there's no such documentation. I said, "what's the 800# or website to call to verify what we were promised?" He said, "I have no idea."

Desired outcome: Honoring promise of free oil change by one of your representatives in October, 2021.

Firestone Complete Auto Care R and L inner tie rod ends

replaced both inner tie rod ends 8k miles ago, now find L front inner tie rod is bad again. Also had alignment and 2 new tires around same time.

Going to have to pay another $300 approx., for repair of tie rod, then pay to replace tires that have severe uneven wear on them. Sw Chance, store manager.

Is this normal, at 8k miles to need replace again?

So not happy with this, was told because it is over a year ago, so what, its 8k miles ago, that labor is not warranted, and not sure of parts as they were stock parts. Have an appointment 3/10/22 at 7am

Firestone store, 3937 Gate city Blvd. Greensboro, NC 27407

Desired outcome: Feel that this should be a warranty issue on Tie rod end and tires due to only 8k miles since repair and purchase of tires.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Tire

Recently I noticed some shaking with my steering wheel as I drove my pick up truck. Not being a mechanic, I assume it was a front end alignment issue and called Firestone. I turned my vehicle the next day for repairs. Later that day I get a call from Firestone stating that I need to pay $1,000 for Ball Joint repair. As I was getting the feeling of being abused, I called a friend who is a mechanic and he advised me to get a second opinion. So I took my vehicle to different mechanic and asked him to find the cause of the vibration. He took one look at my tires and saw considerable wear and tear. He advise me to get new tires and this should solve my problem. He changed and balanced the tires and my truck drove fine. No more vibration! Firestone wanted over $1,000 for an unnecessary repair.

Desired outcome: Desired outcome came from Goodyear, so why should I keep my Firestone account? Plus, I have purchase the lifetime front end alignment and Firestone refused to do it. I deserve a refund.
