We don't know much about how FedEx handles customer complaints outside ComplaintsBoard, but what we see here, on our website, is quite disappointing. We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. But until that happens, we ask reviewers to be cautious when dealing with FedEx and using their services, and to carefully read the experiences of other customers on ComplaintsBoard, because who is warned is armed, you know! 💪

FedEx Package not delivered

My package was to be delivered on 2/22/2023 between 10am and 2:40 pm according to my Tracking Number. I spent the whole afternoon checking my tracking for changes. It was out for delivery at 6:30 a.m. and 12 hours later no package. In the interim I added my email address for updates. As 8pm approached I checked my email and was shocked to see a 7:38 pm non-delivery message that the non-delivery reason was because the customer was not available. Again, a FedEx lie! I sat by window at my computer all day. As it became dark, I kept my blinds tilted so I had a view to outside my home. Also, I have a Ring Doorbell camera which showed no FedEx truck or person parked in front of my house or came to my porch.

I called FedEx customer service. A representative assigned me a case number and informed me that someone from FedEx would call me by 7:00 a.m. Thursday morning, 2/23/2023. After 8am, I called FedEx to inquire. I also had another email that the package was out for delivery, by the end of the day. I told them I need this package today 2/23/2023 by 10:30a.m. and rep said they would have it to me by then. This remains to be seen. There was no integrity from this driver and I suspect FedEx doesn't care.

Desired outcome: I want this package 2/23/2023 by 10:30 a.m. as promised. I would like to hear follow-up response of my case complaint and an apology.

FedEx Placement of deliveries

FedEx deliveries; 1. Dec 13/22 Delivery dropped in the snow just feet from dry ground and under an overhang.

2. Jan 16/23 Left in the snowbank along the driveway, white package in the snow 20 feet from the mailbox post and over 500 feet from the house.

3. Feb 21/23 Again, left in the snowbank 20 feet from the mailbox post not delivered to the house.

Now, UPS and Amazon manage to bring items to the house, mostly they put them on the porch or under the overhang out of the rain. One of your drivers Zackary, is very good, I do not believe this is Zackary.

FedEx I contacted fedex by tracking number to stop delivery of a package. They delivered it.

I learned that a check that I sent by Fed Ex was obtained by fraudulent means. I contacted Fed Ex by tracking number at 11:00 EST 7-20-22. I was told by their agent that the package had not been delivered, and that he could contact the delivery person before delivery was made. The agent indicated the delivery person may not read his messages. I contacted the agent a few minutes later. He assured me that the package would not be delivered. I was notified about 2 hours later that the package had been delivered. I again contacted Fed Ex by tracking number. They informed me they would try to retrieve the package. A day later I was informed by Fed Ex, that the check had been cashed. I don't believe I told the agents that it was a check, in the package. They were in contact with the person that received the package. I believed I asked if they notified the police. They said that it was being investigated by their main office, and I should receive a report from them. I have never received a report from Fed Ex. I failed a complaint. Fed Ex stated the package was delivered 11:26 EST, case closed,

Desired outcome: Return of my $15,000, or prosecution of the thief.

FedEx Fedex lies

How stupid are your drivers to flat out lie about "attempted delivery" when I have 16 cameras at my business? Not once but 4 times. 4 lies. 4 fake delivery attempts. All with camera proof. 3 of the fake delivery attempts don't even show a fedex truck period. One fake delivery attempt shows the fedex truck driving by 100 feet away from my front door. No delivery attempt. No tags on the door, no tags in the mailbox. Nothing. Just lies

Desired outcome: I want my damn package and I want the sender to be refunded by fedex.

FedEx Delivery service

I received notification that my perishable meal kit would be delivered today. I get this kit every Tuesday. It has never required a signature. From my tracking number online, FedEx claims that delivery was attempted but that they could not deliver because recipient was "absent." They never left a delivery attempt tag. This package has never required a signature before. But also, I was working from home all day and they never attempted a delivery - that is a lie.

Desired outcome: Delivery ASAP (tonight if possible) and an apology and reimbursement for delayed delivery of perishable food items.

FedEx Supposed delivery

Ordered a jeep for my grand daughter was supposed to be delivered o 12/21 didn't show

Received an email

On 12/22 at 11:58 saying package was on front porch wife returned from store at 12:10 no package on porch fedex said package was delivered as per their standard no proof of delivery or picture talked with a neighbor who recalls seeing the truck but don't recall seeing package on porch two days later received another package which the driver went around a parked car to put in backyard no car was in driveway for first delivery think he could have put it in the backyard

On monday feb.13,2023 I went to 1 federico dr.In pittsfield, ma. 01201 I tried to ship my ebike back to the company before I went to this place I talked to someone from fedex and they said bring it the federico place I got to the place kareem tyler told me they lied to you we don't have that box he never ask me my name I told him i'm enrolled in the fedex programjust look my name up hedid not and would not.

FedEx needs to train their employees on following DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS that customer specified on their profile. We don’t have a buzzer. All my delivery drivers from Amazon, UPS just call me and I open up. Yet FEDEX just leaves my packages on the street! Seriously? And then they send me a picture of my package sitting by the front door on the sidewalk.

On top of that many times packages show as DELIVERED when they weren’t. Then you have to play limbo with endless phone calls, looking for your package and not knowing when to be home. Time sensitive deliveries? Forget it. They loose packages so often and then it takes them days to find them.

FedEx Shipping

As far as I know FedEx doesn't have a customer service department. I ordered a watch from Japan but it got stuck in US customs. All they needed was my SSN it would go through. Despite hours on hold, numerous attempts and messages left from Feb 10th - Feb 13th, it was impossible to get through to someone at FedEx was unreachable to relay that information. Never got a reply to my messages. Better to go with DHL - a reputable delivery service. FedEx is not legitimate.

FedEx Delivery problems

I ordered something from Apple on February 1, 2023. FedEx kept delaying the delivery of that order for five to six days. I finally had FedEx return it to Apple. I hope that they got it so I could get the refund. Then on Friday, 02/10/2023, I placed another order and asked that it be delivered it by courier. But they are sending it by FedEx to be delivered by Tuesday, 02/14/2023 by 9:30 pm. This is an independent living facility that is closed down by 6:00 pm and the gates are locked at that time. And I am supposed to sign for it. My package has to get to me before 6:00 PM. And if it keeps getting delayed this time, I will have it sent back and I will never order anything from Apple again, if it gets delayed for a week, I will have it sent back to Apple and I will never order from Apple again. That means that FedEx will cause a company to lose a sale again. And I will never order something that will have to be delivered by FedEx again,

Desired outcome: The package delivered before 6:00 pm and on the day it is scheduled to be delivered.

FedEx A driver

Why does the driver leave our package on the street above our home or on our Trash cans on trash pickup day? The Trash man brought our package to us and a neighbor just brought our package to the door. It was up on the street. Not everyone is honest. Our regular driver is great but whoever takes his place when he's off is careless and lazy. The date of this delivery is Friday, Feb 10th.

Desired outcome: Train the uncaring, lazy drivers. We pay for our items and they seem to not care?

FedEx Delivery

It was imperative that I have my package delivered today. I wouldn't have ordered my products if they could not be delivered today. Before I went to bed this morning (work a 3rd shift) I checked the status of my scheduled / promised delivery. It stated it was out for delivery. When I woke up this afternoon I looked on my porch for the package it was not there.

I went online to check the status again. It stated that my package was not delivered as the address was incorrect and it is now scheduled for delivery tomorrow. The address is correct. I did my part by providing the correct address to the shipper. The shipper did their part in assuring they got my products shipped in order to meet the MUST HAVE delivery date. I attempted to make contact with FedEx via phone and there is not a single option that will allow you to speak to a live person. The virtual assistant they have on their website was just as useless.

I then contacted the shipper who verified the ship to address. Was told they had no way to contact FedEx directly and that they noted my address was correct and to deliver to address as addressed. The best they could do is possibly have it delivered tomorrow. It was up to FedEx to when delivery would be attempted again. This does not work for me. I am literally screwed at this point and have no other options for my products which puts me in a bad way.

FedEx obviously hired another imcompetent driver that does not care if a customer receives their package or not. I have to wonder if an attempt to deliver was even made. It is not hard to read an address. I'm sure they have some kind of navigation system that directs them from delivery to delivery. If it was not a valid address the navigation system would not be able to direct them to my doorstep. The address is correct. I have packages delivered often. The only company that I have ever had problems with is FedEx.

I'm sure the reasons one cannot reach a live person is FedEx is aware of their ongoing issues regarding undelivered packages and doesn't want to deal with it nor do they care about customer satisfaction. They are making a gazillion dollars every single day and that is all they care about. I get that every company that is established is with the intent of making money for themselves. They need to look at short term and long term ways to ensure the survivability of their company. Obviously FedEx does not care if they have repeat customers or not. There is no resolution that can be made at this point to fix their screw up. And because of the inept employee I now have to spend all kinds of time and frustration to get my money back from the shipper and all the freekin red tape involved in it.

FedEx you suck a big green d*ck. First time was shame on you. The second time is shame on me and I guarantee there will not be a third time. The next time I order online I will have it confirmed that they do not use Fedex as their shipper. If they do and do not offer an alternative I will not purchase thru that merchant.

Desired outcome: I want my package delivered today which is not going to happen. It is almost 5:30 pm on a Friday. I want the driver fired.

FedEx picked up an order that is local to me, they then shipped it 180 miles to the north of me to Ocala, Florida instead of keeping it in Ft. Myers and delivering the package locally as should have been done. So instead of a next day delivery this is taking several days because FedEx does not have their act together and ships local pickups and deliveries out of town only to have to ship the same back to the same location it started from. Also FedEx and other services no longer honor their guaranteed delivery, so if you pay for next day or second day or third day they no longer even try to deliver next day, second day or third day because they no longer honor their money back guarantee. This all started during covid and they found they can charge you for these services and never honor them and they will not give you your money back.

FedEx has become a horrible company to do business with and they are not reliable at all.

FedEx Automated phone service

Your automated phone service is the worst system that I've ever dealt with. It will not transfer to a live person when it can't answer a question. For the money you make hire people to address people concerns. You're not that big that you can't fail. I try to get shippers to not use you when I can for this reason. I even pay more not to put up with problem.

Desired outcome: Fix your automated phone system so as to be able to talk with a live person to fix issue that your phone system can't.

FedEx Recipient delivery

I'm so sick and tired of FedEx delivering my packages to another house on a different street. If I don't watch them like a hawk and chase down my packages, then those dark questionable strangers will get FREE GIFTS! It's NOT the older drivers I have issues with, it's the younger ones that can't seem to frickin' read a dam address! Why does FedEx hire illiterate [censored]s? These drivers I'm referring to also lie their butt off, even when they decide to include a delivery photo. For example, "left at door", NO THEY DID NOT! They left it in stranger's driveway clearly visible and available for THEFT! These drivers pulling these crazy stunts like this need to be FIRED IMMEDIATELY! - And calling the FedEx customer support number was completely useless. All you get is a bot wanting to open a case that's going to be ignored for 3 days! A lot can happen in 3 days. Saying, "representative" gets you to "sounds like you need to open a case, what is the issue?", which again is another god dam virtual assistant crapola! They've got it rigged so they don't have to listen to real live complaints coming out of a real person's mouth! F***ing Cowards!

Here's how bad this example is ... deliver address was 345 Dunn Lane, Star, NC 27356 - I had to walk my sick butt way over to 355 McIntosh to get my packages! Why? Why? Why are you doing me this way over and over and over?!

Desired outcome: Screen your newbie drivers better and make sure they know how to read a dam address. It would also help if they had access to google maps, because mighty funny I can find my own house easy-peasy with just the address, why can't they?

FedEx Constantly leaving packages at the wrong door.

Ordered a Lift recliner from Amazon. Paid 50.00 extra for shipping. Was supposed to be delivered on Saturday Feb.4th, 2023. Both boxes were labelled SIDE DOOR DELIVERY ONLY. Order was delayed till Monday Feb. 6th. which was fine. What was NOT fine is that they were delivered to the front door. Left on the handicapped ramp. No knock on the door or doorbell. This happens with every delivery. It has gotten so bad that I had a sign made and placed at my front door. They still deliver the packages to the front door and place them under the sign which says "All packages to side door. Thank you". The chair came in two boxes. My front door is not in use due to construction. I came outside with my rollator and could not get the boxes. Thank God the UPS man drove by and saw me struggling. He stopped his truck and got out. He carried both boxes to the side door for me. FEDEX is awful for delivery. If I could use ONLY UPS I would. I have complained about this for a year with no resolution. I do not understand why it is so hard for this to take place. Maybe the news media can help.

FedEx Scheduled delivery date changed twice!

I am awaiting my package, Fedex scheduled delivery date is Tuesday, that is a boardgame and I already asked 9 friends to come to my home and play it on weekend. On Tuesday, my package is not arrived until night, and Fedex changed delivery date to Friday, but today is Friday there is no update on status and package still not arrived! What I want to say is, if you can't have an accurate delivery date, just let me know the latest shipment date, otherwise don't keep update the wrong delivery date everytime, and let me waste my time.

FedEx Delivery

Please allow me to start off by sharing that if negative stars could be listed, it would seem that there would be a number of Us on the Customer experience side that would jump on the band wagon.

I purchased an electronic item from a reputable Ebay seller that chooses to use FedEx as its delivery carrier. The package arrived on Dec. 31 st and I was notified via message and picture of the package being dropped off. I immediately notified FedEx that it was not a picture of my front door and that the driver had left the package at the wrong house. I was able to go through my cul-de-sac and find that house that the package was dropped off at. The FedEx driver left the package, electronics (Labeled "Fragile") in the rain. Upon finding the package wet and destroyed, I notified Fedex of the issue and was told that I would be contacted by a FedEx representative. 1 week goes by, 2 weeks go by. I take the time to email the CEO my frustration with NO response. The person to whom, I can only assume was directed to contact me, I was finial able to speak with, tells me that She is "Investigating" the issue. After a MONTH, I am told that my issue must be addressed with the Seller. Where is the accountability, remorse, compensation for any Consumer that must deal with FedEx. Answer... there is none. Just as all those that have left such negative feedback, NOTHING will come of this. WE DON'T MATTER.

I wish I could attach the pictures that I had taken that I had sent to FedEx the next day after the delivery.

FedEx Delivery [protected] tracking

Fed ex says they delivered my package and even sent proof that my package was delivered, problem is that the photo is not even my home! Then I file a claim with them so they can "investigate" my missing package, what a joke! After 5 days, they call me and say that my package is missing and can do nothing for me. So fed ex gets paid to deliver a package while I have to pay for another because as far as the seller is concerned fed ex sent proof of delivery so I lose. Horrible service and hope fed ex gets shut down because obviously their employee stole the package.

FedEx Damage during shipping.

This is the 4th time I've received my items damaged. I've watched them throw, drag, and roll items to my door. Today my dresser arrived so damaged that there's no way it could be fixed. The top is broken off. The bottom is broken off and broken into 2 pieces. Knobs are missing from the giant holes in the box. Customer service is nonexistent when you try to make a complaint. The box is so damaged I can't possibly ship it back. There's not a store near me that I can return it to. Even if there was it wouldn't fit in my car. I ordered online for those very reasons. When they took the picture of the item to show delivery, they put the severely damaged part of the box away from the camera. Why can't I count on this shipping service to do their job? It's a constant struggle every single time a company ships something to me using fed ex.

Desired outcome: Return of the $299 dollars that I'm out.

FedEx Delivery of glass

On 1/31/23 a package was delivered. You may not be able to determine, but this box was put against a garage door.   Not only was it put there, it was placed so as the longest portion of the box is at the top. It would almost make sense to put it lengthwise so it wouldn't fall as far, being that it is longer than wider by about two times. 

I did not ask for garage door delivery, & expected it to be placed on my front porch under the roof & protected.  There was nothing to discourage the person to put it there. 
If I was to open the garage door from the inside as I usually do, this box would have fallen & possibly broken the piece of glass inside.  BTW, the carton was marked in many places that it was fragile & contained glass... In many conspicuous places.

I really have to ask how was this person trained... better yet, probably never trained.  It's the 'hurry up, put the box wherever closest & get away". I am so very disappointed & will be letting the originator know /how FedEx treats their GLASS products.  I worked for UPS for a short period, & was trained regarding fragile packages.  I have to wonder about FedEx & their policies.  Then again, maybe just fire this person because they do not care.

FedEx Delivery of a small package to my home.

I went to Candence Bank and ordered a stamp to use to deposit checks. It was delivered on Monday, January 30, and place on the ground right in front of my garage door. In pulling in my driveway and watching the garage door go up and proceed to pull in my garage while watching the vehicle already in my garage, I did not see the package but felt it when I ran over it. There was NO reason to leave the package where it was left. I have a covered front porch where there are chairs it could have been placed on or there is a small concrete bench next to the garage that it could have been placed on instead of on the ground right in the pathway for a vehicle to pull into the garage.

I am going to the bank and have them reorder the stamp and tell them to have it delivered to the bank where I will pick it up and advise them NOT to use FedEx. I will go pick it up from the bank.
