Family Dollar Employment opportunity

Today I am writing this email in regards to the manager “Jeffery” that is over the location 3465 NW 183rd street Miami Garden Fl. I applied for a Customer Service position at the mentioned location on April 1st. The store manager “Jeffrey” called on April and I was interviewed on April 4th. I advised the manager that I was interested in a part time position since I already work a day job from 6 am to 3pm. He was ok with that and stated that all he can offer in pay was $10.00 per hour. This was acceptable for me. On April 4th I received an email to complete a background check in which I did and I informed Jeffrey of this. On the same day April 4th I received another email extending me an offer of employment with Family Dollar. I reached out to Jeffery the same day via text and he stated that I needed to come into the store the next day. I replied ok will do. On April 6th I text Jeffrey at 2:55 pm to say I’m leaving my house in 5 minutes since I get off at 3:00. No response. However, I drive to the store he’s already gone. He send a text oh he’s sorry, he has to pick up his daughter. Ok this is fine I understood. Then he asks me can I comet to the store on the following day. I said I can only come after 3 since is have a day job. So April 7th I text him at 11:17 am to state I will come in a bring information after 3. He replies “OK”. At 1:47 pm I send a text at 1:47 pm I will be leaving my house at 3. He replies “ok no problem”. At 3:12 “Jeffery” text back “I don’t see you”. So I thought I made a mistake about the time so I replied back “I meant to say after 3” “remember I have a day job”. He text back “I’m leaving now cause have to pick up my daughter from school” . So I called him and then he said he has to pick up his daughter at 3 pm daily. So I asked when will you be in the office?

He says mornings all week. Monday April 11th I had two previous dr appts but once I got back to the area I stopped by the store location around 2:50 pm the young lady goes to the office door knocks but there is not answer. She was like I think he already left. Ok so I took a half day from my first job on Tuesday. I text Jeffery to state I will come to the store around 10:30-11. He text back “He’s off tomorrow”. So I text him right back “Ur only off tomorrow” no response. I text what about “Thursday or Friday” no response. I text him again. I have text u and called with no response. I was asking when u would be in so I can put in time off from my first job to complete what you are asking of me. No response. So I did request a half day from my first job today. I text Jeffrey at 9:08 am “Good morning have u already hired some one else for the position or are you still awaiting for me to stop by the store. As of right now no answer. I just want to make it clear that I accepted to job offer and was more than ready to work. I even turned down a job opportunity since I thought I would be working for your establishment. I do not want this to hinder me if I should apply at another location or with any of your established companies . I thank GOD that I already have fulltime employment in which I have worked for ten years in July it will be eleven years. However, what if I didn’t? I think this is very unprofessional of your manager “Jeffrey” to treat potential employees in such a way.

Family Dollar in store service 2701 W Hunting Park ave, Phila PA

I stopped on my lunch at store #09215, as I was leaving the store the theft detection alarm went off, one of the items I purchased had a store theft device on it that was not removed by the cashier. The manager came over with another employee, I was treated very badly as if I stole something when the item was found the manager did not remove it and then she dropped the item on the floor walked away as I picked my item off the floor, again I tried to leave the store with the items I paid for only to have the same women now with two others call me back in the store again she did not remove the store device, when I tried to ask why it was not removed she interrupted me in a very rude way and in a very harsh tune told me that she was only doing her job. I have no doubt this entire encounter is on the store's surveillance cameras. The way I was treated should never happen to any customer. My co-worker suggested I call a lawyer.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology and training for that manager

Family Dollar Not paid enough

I was only paid $40.00 for working two days and that's ridiculous. I was making a pity sum of $11.50 an hour and worked seven hours for each day that comes out to $161.00, how do you get $40.00 from that? Worked on Saturday April 2, 2022 and Sunday April 3, 2022 at the Reed Store location in Houston, TX 2714 Reed Rd Houston, TX 77051. Thank you.

Family Dollar Unprofessional customer service

Sunday, 3/27/[protected]@ 2pm at Family Dollar located on S. Transit Rd. in Lockport NY 14094. I was treated with such unprofessionalism, nastiness, disrespect. After having a problem using a family dollar digital coupon that I downloading unto my family dollar account, it wouldn't connect. The cashier was so rude and nasty. I asked for a manager and a female by the name of Rhonda approached with an attitude. I then just asked for corporates phone number and then the email address. Rhonda proceeded to say "You can't remember it". very rudely and condescending. There after I preceded to say how rude and nasty all the cashiers were and that none should be working in customer service. I preceded to walk out where I heard one of them say "[censored]" and that why are you using coupons anyway. This store is disgusting, dirty, unprofessional and the employees seem to be as if their out of space or addictive to uncontrolled substances. This store needs to be investigated without notice and reviewed unexpectedly. I am and have been a Family Dollar customer for years but with this service I will not continue to to patronize this company or condone this unprofessionalism.

Desired outcome: These three employees need to be terminated.

Family Dollar Store being closed at 6520 Midlothian Turnpike Richmond Va 23225

I am a regular customer of the Family Dollar store at 6520 Midlothian Turnpike Richmond VA 23225. On Friday 03/25/2022 @ approximately 3:25 pm I went to the store as I do every day to purchase some food items and there was a hand written note on the door that read... " we're closed ". I hopped a bus and went to Kroger. On Saturday 03/26/2022 approximately 4:45 pm I went back to the Family Dollar to purchase a few more items and the hand written note was still on the door that they were closed so i turned around and went to Raceway a purchased the items I needed. It is now 03/27/2022 @ approximately 12:55 pm and I need some items but I will not be going back to Family Dollar because I walk an can't chance it.

Family Dollar Not handicap friendly/rude manager

3/24/22-2:30pm

1. Handicap issue-2 sets of doors-manual entry and exit, shopping carts with tall pole so can't take purchases to the car.

2. Manager rude and negative attitude

While being checked out, the customer in front of me was leaving. I noticed that she was walking very slow with a possible back/hip problem. She had trouble opening the exit door. She got the first door open and tried to move the shopping cart with her. The pole hit the top of the door and the manager very firmly said "you can't take the cart out". The customer gathered up her bags, propping the door open with her hip, and the manager took the shopping cart. There was no offer to help from the manager and that was the only interaction that the manager had with that customer. Since I myself had been checked out and going to my car, I assisted the previous customer through the doors and put what bags I had of hers in her car.

Desired outcome: Change enter/exit doors to automatic doors and allow the customer to take the shopping cart to their vehicle, if needed. In my personal opinion, the manager should be there for the customer and not just a paycheck.

Family Dollar Propane

I had gone to stare #1955 portage pa 15946, for propane exchange. When approaching sells associate to tell her I need an exchange she said she was not going back out it was to cold and refused to go outside to change my tank in. The date and time this has taken place was on 3/21/22 at 8 pm

Desired outcome: Some propane would be nice considering I buy one every week from your store Wich has stopped tonight and maybe better employees.

Family Dollar Employee Complaint

Assistant manager (Acting store manager until 3/19/22)

I'm a fairly new employee at Family Dollar & since day one I've been hearing nothing but negative things about this employee. Eventually, I began to see with my own eyes what others had been describing to me & now she's causing issues with me personally.

•She talks down to customers as well as fellow employees when they ask questions that she finds 'stupid'.

•She talks badly about her fellow employees, not only to other employees, but to customers also.

•She throws tantrums, for lack of a better term, when things don't go her way & these tantrums are usually during store hours while customers are in the store. She slams things, yells & says inappropriate things.

•On multiple occasions I've been

scheduled to work on the date & time that I told her 2+ weeks in advance that I wasn't able to work due to a doctor's appointment & when I made her aware of her mistake she refused to correct it & threatened to fire me if I didn't show up for work on that day. I was able to reschedule my appointments on all of those occasions except two, however due to me having to reschedule I've ran out of my mediation & been charged 'reschedule without adequate advanced notice' fees.

•There are several customers that won't even enter the store if they see her car in the parking lot due to the way she acts

Desired outcome: She's good at the business aspect of her job, but needs to do some serious work on her people skills.

Family Dollar Cash back

Family Dollar Attitude - sales associate.

Saturday 3/12/22 around 2pm shopping at your store in Parkesburg, Pa. Wiping the counter, the young saleswomen say don't do that, due to wires being by/near register. I reassure her I did not touch any wires, I said to her why is when I come into this store, and you're here you have an attitude toward me. She says she don't know me. I Mention to her you do know me from shopping here, which she denies. I ask to be rung out which she refused to do. Ordering her other coworkers not to ring up my sales and taking the till out of the register where I was in line at. I find her customer service was rude, not professional, and without merit for the reason me being there. My name is Rhett Lipscomb Thanks

Family Dollar Employee

I was in your store at 108 S Orchard Dr. Park Forest, IL at 4:45 p.m. today, March 11th. I wanted to purchase and a black pullover shirt which was marked $6.00 there was a sign that said the pink square tickets were 50% of (picture enclosed) this item had a pink square tag on it. She took the sign down but i found it and was able to take the picture. The shirt rang up for $6.00 i told the cashier it was on sale, she told me no, i said the sign read 50% off she wanted to see the sign i showed her the sign she said that sale was over. I asked to speak with a manager she said the store don't have a manger, i sated i wanted it at the sale price she refused to honor the sign, so I said I wanted to take a picture of the tag and write corporate, when i went to pick up the shirt she proceeded to snatch it from me so now we playing tug a war, she bent my finger while snatching it from me, that was assault, now i'm mad i knock the m&m down and she said she was calling the police i told make sure she tell the whole story, she asked me to leave the store, i left and tried to call corporate she followed me outside, leaving the customers in the store, and she continued to scream at me and i'm screaming at her, she had her phone in my face me i proceeded to block her from putting the phone in my face. I can't believe all this happened over $3.00, unbelievable. She spoke with an accent, could have been Jamaican or African. She went to far, that was totally unnecessary and I don't appreciate being treating like that over $6.00. No name tag on at all.

Desired outcome: Reprimand, suspension without pay, retrained on how to treat customer, I appreciate a response, i would like a public apology from the employee.

Family Dollar Product on WoW $1.00 dollar shelf

I went into the store on Board Street, in Union City, GA I purchased a bottle of Dreft along with some other items.

After I purchase the item, I noticed that the item rang up for $9.00, but it was on the WOW dollar shelf for $1.00. When I purchased the item there was 4 other bottles on the shelf together. I came back into the store showed the cashier the item she and I walked to the area where the item was located, there was still 3 bottles of Dreft left in the same place where I got the one that I purchased earlier. The cashier saw the items on the self for that above mentioned price.

One of the stockers told me "I cannot let you have that item for $1.00", very aggressively, I told her the item was here on the self with 4 other items, she continued telling me in a very rude and aggressive manner.

I cannot let you have the item. I told her that I know if items are listed on the shelf with a price located for that item. the store must sell that item to the customer for the price listed.

She stated to me I know my job. I told her that I would contact Corporate, she said I can give you the number in a very rude and aggressive manner. I know my job, very rude, she didn't try to resolve the problem or offer a solution. She wanted to argue about this item. After I noticed that she wanted to continue in a rude manner I told her that I would call Corporate, she said in a very rude voice " You want the number?" I just told her that I have the number and walked to the front and left the store

Also, the person {Stocker} who placed the items on the self was standing near, as we talked the other stocker told her not to place those items on the self.

I am complaining about the rude behavior of this employee and also to have my concerned about the price corrected'

Desired outcome: Receive the Dreft at the price listed on the shelf. Please address the rudeness of the stock person in the store. At the time of this incident, she had long brown braids, she is an African American woman.
