Family Dollar Not handicap friendly/rude manager

3/24/22-2:30pm

1. Handicap issue-2 sets of doors-manual entry and exit, shopping carts with tall pole so can't take purchases to the car.

2. Manager rude and negative attitude

While being checked out, the customer in front of me was leaving. I noticed that she was walking very slow with a possible back/hip problem. She had trouble opening the exit door. She got the first door open and tried to move the shopping cart with her. The pole hit the top of the door and the manager very firmly said "you can't take the cart out". The customer gathered up her bags, propping the door open with her hip, and the manager took the shopping cart. There was no offer to help from the manager and that was the only interaction that the manager had with that customer. Since I myself had been checked out and going to my car, I assisted the previous customer through the doors and put what bags I had of hers in her car.

Desired outcome: Change enter/exit doors to automatic doors and allow the customer to take the shopping cart to their vehicle, if needed. In my personal opinion, the manager should be there for the customer and not just a paycheck.

Family Dollar Employee fraud

My family shops at our local store daily. We spend a Lot of money annually.

My wife has been using the app called Fetch for some time, where you scan receipts of purchases for points to earn rewards. Recently one of the cashiers must have discovered this app as well. It seems every time we make a purchase when she is the cashier she refuses to give us a receipt. Says she is out of paper. I'm assuming she runs an end of shift print and scans all receipts.

We have tried to contact someone in corporate to deal with this issue. We find that it's next to impossible to speak to anyone. If this issue continues we will be speaking criminal damages.

Desired outcome: Investigation into issue, termination of employees involved, reimbursement of losses to those involved.central

Family Dollar Propane

I had gone to stare #1955 portage pa 15946, for propane exchange. When approaching sells associate to tell her I need an exchange she said she was not going back out it was to cold and refused to go outside to change my tank in. The date and time this has taken place was on 3/21/22 at 8 pm

Desired outcome: Some propane would be nice considering I buy one every week from your store Wich has stopped tonight and maybe better employees.

Assistant manager (Acting store manager until 3/19/22)

I'm a fairly new employee at Family Dollar & since day one I've been hearing nothing but negative things about this employee. Eventually, I began to see with my own eyes what others had been describing to me & now she's causing issues with me personally.

•She talks down to customers as well as fellow employees when they ask questions that she finds 'stupid'.

•She talks badly about her fellow employees, not only to other employees, but to customers also.

•She throws tantrums, for lack of a better term, when things don't go her way & these tantrums are usually during store hours while customers are in the store. She slams things, yells & says inappropriate things.

•On multiple occasions I've been

scheduled to work on the date & time that I told her 2+ weeks in advance that I wasn't able to work due to a doctor's appointment & when I made her aware of her mistake she refused to correct it & threatened to fire me if I didn't show up for work on that day. I was able to reschedule my appointments on all of those occasions except two, however due to me having to reschedule I've ran out of my mediation & been charged 'reschedule without adequate advanced notice' fees.

•There are several customers that won't even enter the store if they see her car in the parking lot due to the way she acts

Desired outcome: She's good at the business aspect of her job, but needs to do some serious work on her people skills.

Family Dollar Cash back

The manager Snatched my credit card out of the credit card machine and tell you know we don’t give cash back then next day I bought a cooler but my mother said it was the wrong one so the lady didn’t want to give a refund for it and I had my receiptI would like to know do you give cash back at any of your stores

You have a mouse infestation, and that requires a more far-reaching solution than just a few strategically placed traps..

Family Dollar Attitude - sales associate.

Saturday 3/12/22 around 2pm shopping at your store in Parkesburg, Pa. Wiping the counter, the young saleswomen say don't do that, due to wires being by/near register. I reassure her I did not touch any wires, I said to her why is when I come into this store, and you're here you have an attitude toward me. She says she don't know me. I Mention to her you do know me from shopping here, which she denies. I ask to be rung out which she refused to do. Ordering her other coworkers not to ring up my sales and taking the till out of the register where I was in line at. I find her customer service was rude, not professional, and without merit for the reason me being there. My name is Rhett Lipscomb Thanks

Family Dollar Employee

I was in your store at 108 S Orchard Dr. Park Forest, IL at 4:45 p.m. today, March 11th. I wanted to purchase and a black pullover shirt which was marked $6.00 there was a sign that said the pink square tickets were 50% of (picture enclosed) this item had a pink square tag on it. She took the sign down but i found it and was able to take the picture. The shirt rang up for $6.00 i told the cashier it was on sale, she told me no, i said the sign read 50% off she wanted to see the sign i showed her the sign she said that sale was over. I asked to speak with a manager she said the store don't have a manger, i sated i wanted it at the sale price she refused to honor the sign, so I said I wanted to take a picture of the tag and write corporate, when i went to pick up the shirt she proceeded to snatch it from me so now we playing tug a war, she bent my finger while snatching it from me, that was assault, now i'm mad i knock the m&m down and she said she was calling the police i told make sure she tell the whole story, she asked me to leave the store, i left and tried to call corporate she followed me outside, leaving the customers in the store, and she continued to scream at me and i'm screaming at her, she had her phone in my face me i proceeded to block her from putting the phone in my face. I can't believe all this happened over $3.00, unbelievable. She spoke with an accent, could have been Jamaican or African. She went to far, that was totally unnecessary and I don't appreciate being treating like that over $6.00. No name tag on at all.

Desired outcome: Reprimand, suspension without pay, retrained on how to treat customer, I appreciate a response, i would like a public apology from the employee.

Family Dollar Product on WoW $1.00 dollar shelf

I went into the store on Board Street, in Union City, GA I purchased a bottle of Dreft along with some other items.

After I purchase the item, I noticed that the item rang up for $9.00, but it was on the WOW dollar shelf for $1.00. When I purchased the item there was 4 other bottles on the shelf together. I came back into the store showed the cashier the item she and I walked to the area where the item was located, there was still 3 bottles of Dreft left in the same place where I got the one that I purchased earlier. The cashier saw the items on the self for that above mentioned price.

One of the stockers told me "I cannot let you have that item for $1.00", very aggressively, I told her the item was here on the self with 4 other items, she continued telling me in a very rude and aggressive manner.

I cannot let you have the item. I told her that I know if items are listed on the shelf with a price located for that item. the store must sell that item to the customer for the price listed.

She stated to me I know my job. I told her that I would contact Corporate, she said I can give you the number in a very rude and aggressive manner. I know my job, very rude, she didn't try to resolve the problem or offer a solution. She wanted to argue about this item. After I noticed that she wanted to continue in a rude manner I told her that I would call Corporate, she said in a very rude voice " You want the number?" I just told her that I have the number and walked to the front and left the store

Also, the person {Stocker} who placed the items on the self was standing near, as we talked the other stocker told her not to place those items on the self.

I am complaining about the rude behavior of this employee and also to have my concerned about the price corrected'

Desired outcome: Receive the Dreft at the price listed on the shelf. Please address the rudeness of the stock person in the store. At the time of this incident, she had long brown braids, she is an African American woman.

Family Dollar Apple gift cards

[protected] I went to the family dollar at 1528 m Lewis Ave Tulsa,Ok 74110

I was trying to buy to apple gift cards for $500 a piece and we got the first on to go thru but was having trouble getting the second one to go thru so the lady behind the counter asked me to go get acouple more to see if any of them would go thru and she sat the one I had ready paid for down with the rest of them on the counter while she was trying the rest of them we weren't able to get it to go thru at all and I think what happened was she wasn't paying attention because she was getting frustrated by this time and she handed me the wrong one back mistake.when I got home and went to redeem it there was nothing on it and they ended up telling me that it wasn't activated at the register there has to be something that can be done because that is not my fault it's on their end she made the mistake of giving me the wrong card back. During the whole thing they all were very rude and unconcerned about my problem because they thought I was lying and just trying to get my money back. they basically blew me off.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund because I didnt get what I paid for and I wld like a response please.

Family Dollar Unprofessional service

I went to Family Dollar March 6th 2022 to purchase a few things and one of the things I was about to purchase was one can of beer along with the rest of the things, as I proceeded to the cooler a associate of Family Dollar told me that they are not selling beer I did not see a lock on the door there was no information on the door stating that no alcohol is being sold so I asked her why and she got really smart for no reason at all she was talking to a customer seemed like she knew him said to him to where I can hear it and other customers heard it . And she said he's going to ask me why we are not selling beer and I felt like if I come into your store spending my money and ask a question about a product and for you to behave like that that's unprofessional so I proceeded to the next cashier and I asked to speak to a manager as I was paying for my merchandise and the associate told me that she was the manager so I said okay that's got to be a district manager it was so embarrassing how can this person being a manager and have an attitude like that that's unprofessional here is the store information store number [protected] E 21 st p.s I have my receipt

Desired outcome: For her to be corrected that she's representing Family Dollar and it just might be I may not be the only one everyone cannot be a manager when they cannot control themselves when dealing with customers

Family Dollar store in Ocala Florida #[protected] SW highway 200. My complete is this find new employee who treat their customer with respect. I had stop at this store many times to pick up a news paper weather it be an out dated Sunday paper or a daily paper Ocala Starr Banner. Employee male older man can up to where the check out was and question me and said you aren't taking anything out of the papers are you. And I look up at him and said you should not have even ask me that question. Then the Hispanic women who was at the register was standing their and started running her mouth.She said that people come in and read the paper and put it back. I said to her that man employee should of never ask me that question. So the older Hispanic women says he don't know what doesn't he not know is my question. The Hispanic women is a [censored] on Sunday when I have been in this store she has the Sunday paper behide the counter.Has that Hispanic music playing loud behide the register. I come in this store all the time and the Hispanic women make me feel like I'm trying to steel the paper or change adds or take extra coupons.Post You Policy if this how you are going to run a business.

Family Dollar Terrible rude manager

12/24/21 The manager was rude about having to unlock the cell phone case, then quoted me the wrong price and wouldn’t check the right price on a phone even though it was clearly in the wrong spot, I ended up leaving without a phone and feeling very disrespected. 1/13/22. The manager was staring at me and following me through the store like I was doing something wrong all the way up until I checked out, even when I was checking out she was staring at me like I shoplifted or damaged property, she would come to every isle I was in, and from across the store glared at me the whole time I was checking out she made me feel very uncomfortable, she could have asked to check my bags I would not have minded but the way she went about it, and how she made me feel was totally uncalled for even if she didn’t care for me, I can’t think of any other reason she would do that to me. I don’t understand what I did or why she was looking at me that way but it was very uncomfortable and rude. 3/6/22 The manager there is rude and unfriendly, very rude to my children and very unpleasant, she scolded my children for being to loud and they were just laughing, my children are 4 and 5, and they were not being disruptive, this is not the first time I have been there and witnessed her rude behavior.

Family Dollar Wrongfully accused of theft

Went to the store because I had a ill child at home and I also had to purchase a few other things for dinner. So as you walk in the door the medicine aisle is in front of door. I grab cough drops and start to round the store seeking the other products I needed. However I soon see that two things that were absolutely necessary, were out of stock and the third thing I needed, family dollar didn't carry. I stop and spoke to another customer for a few minutes, put the cough drops down on can good aisle and started walking toward the front of store. I am no stranger to this store, I am always talking to employees and seeing how they are, or notifying them on if I found what was needed. This particular night a lady named Sue Ellen was working, a new employee. I walked to counter, I spoke and asked how she was and proceeded to tell her I didn't find what I was looking for, before I could finish my sentence, she asked me to open up my coat and to pull out my left pocket because it looked big. I was floored to say the least. I asked if she was serious and if she understood that this was wrong. She pressed on about it and even asked me to walk to back of store, while yelling "Don't try to put anything away either". I was so embarrassed. Batesville is small and I am pretty well known for my customer service and hospitality. As we got to the back, the manager Kimberly Burns, allowed her to explain and then told her how wrong she was for accusing me of something she didn't see and how it went against policy, she argued with her own manager and still continued to call me a thief. The manager had to yell for someone to take over her register because she had a customer there. I have called a complained, still haven't heard back. I am almost like a joke now, being playfully frisked by other employee. I smile but I am still very angry about this.

Family Dollar bout manager

the manager at store 8080 moonlake rd new port richey fl 34654 is usless and aslo she lets a girl name dallas call out everyday and week and doesnt get wrote up at all and also the store is a mess wen i worked there the numbers do not add up to the stuff ur putting on the shelf for stock and also they took 50.00 away from my check was supposed to be 115.00 they took 50.00 for nothing im hiring a attorney to put a lawsuit against family dollar for touching my check. t all.the manager is christina odell and she doesnt care bout her store a

Family Dollar The store in general!

The Family Dollar I'm writing about today is the one on Ann Arbor in Dallas,Tx 75216. I need someone to explain to me why this store has been closed a lot. the door has plywood on it. I understand that this store has being hit on more than several occasion. Not only that the store is just pure out nasty! Products are everywhere! Now I understand that people say it's the area. But this area spends a lot of money in this store! Get somebody with authority over there and take a look at this store! And really do something about that store. It's a hot mess! The store off 67 Hwy. doesn't look like that! The store in Desoto on Polk doesn't look like that! The store on Jefferson doesn't look like that! SOMEBOY NEED TO DO SOMNETHING. COME ON GET UP! Quit looking at your bottom line! Because it's that what you're looking at then this store should look as good as it's doing!

Family Dollar Family Dollar Has A Very Foul Odor

The Family Dollar in Ladonia, AL has a very foul-sewage and death smell. This is an everyday thing. On cold days, the smell is unbearable. Today, 2-23-22, the temperature is warm, and all the doors are open for ventilation. The smell was in the air. As I walked to the back of the store toward the restroom and warehouse area; the smell intensified. I had to grab the toilet paper on the back wall before the nauseating smell made me puke.

Desired outcome: Close & Remove Everything From Store For Proper Cleaning & Sanitizing, And Clean Shelves.

Family Dollar Service

I entered a family dollar store in Fairburn, Ga. on 02/22/22, between 215 and 230 pm. I shopped for 4 items and went to check out. There was a woman behind the counter at the register closest to the door, on the phone. She looked at me. There were no other customers at the checkout. I waited for about five minutes and she did not acknowledge my presence and continued to talk on the phone. The conversation was about a assistant manager position. She proceeded to tell the applicant to fill in an application at any of the other family dollar stores in the area, and she would be able to pull the application for review. She went on to tell them that she really needs 2 assistant managers asap. All the time I am standing at the register with my cash in hand to checkout. She looked at me several times and did not acknowledge that I was was waiting on her. Several minutes later 2 other people got in line, and while still on the phone she went to the other register and checked out the next person in line completely ignoring me. I can and will shop anywhere but at family dollar. Disrespectful.

Family Dollar Workers

I do not know what you did - but family dollar is tecumseh is a sh# show/ I have been

Going there since it has been here you have lost the best workers you had, krystal and nikki. The store is always a mess nothing put up - it was never like that now closed at 600 due to no workers never happened before you have a mom and daughter working there together and a boyfriend and girlfriend its a drama mess there you hearr crap about people marias and her daughter - dustin and irine a couple its a mess people are complainning about yours tore and everyone loved it efore you wan to make it right again bring back krstal she worked there a long time and was good and so is nikki who transferred to adrian because of the bs im telling you your going to lose so much business you dont even know when it starts going on social media you will be done. Do some thing now and do some thing right I only kow krystal and nikki from the store-gethem back make manager give them the pay they deserve have them hire all over get some good workers in there

Family Dollar Customer service, vogue language, vogue music over the intercom.

Good morning, yesterday I was @ Store #01112, 2251 Edgewood ave in Jacksonville, Florida. I was shopping and could hear music over the intercom playing real loud. To my surprise the music was so vogue I had to ask the cashier, where was that coming from she said inside the store, I explain that there was children in there and they shouldn't be playing that kind of music. We are talking about (sucking D----), Bi-----, dropping it hot, all kind of stuff; Also, are you aware that sometimes we have to go to other stores, do to the fact that that store, is always closed. Sometimes it smell that someone is smoking weed.

Please do something about this, it shouldn't be happening. I work here for the city I have never experienced something like that before. The girl was young, but that shouldn't matter.

February 19th around 330-4.

I always shop your store in Waldron Arkansas never have many issues, I joke with my mother your manager lives at the store hes always there and willing to help, all the employees are fairly great but one. Emily, shes rude, always on her phone, most of the time she don't ask if I want my receipts and today she was saying in front of plenty of customers that she should of got dunk before coming to work to deal with the idiots, I usually don't complain I know we all have bad days but this happens alot

Desired outcome: Id like for something to be said or maybe she needs to find a job where she doesn't have to deal with people because I really don't think this is the job for her
