Etihad Airways Refund

Hi Etihad,

I booked a ticket using the Edreams site and later I could see that you guys canceled my ticket.
So I contacted Edreams and they informed me that they already requested Etihad for a refund on 4th June 2021, however, till now they did not receive any refund from you.

Could you please expedite the process and refund the amount ASAP?

Etihad Airways Customer Care

I am really disappointed with the response, I received from professional number 1 international Airline carrier.Recently my flight EY 0241 outbound for Lahore and EY242 inbound to Abudhabi had been canceled where i called twice to Etihad Customer Care where I put on hold around one hour without any further response in each csll. I visited to the Etihad Airways (Madinat Zayed) where I was unsatisfied with the response towards my ticket cancellation. They told me that they are unable to book me in for any other flight and unable to refund my ticket where I bought the ticket from Etihad Airways website. they put me hang again with customer care where again I lost my time and phone credit without any assistance. Now I need assistance to refund my money or else I shall reserved my consumer rights to launch a complaint in higher authorities.

The same is the case here as well with the same flight 0242 outbound from LHE dated July-27th. the email received yesterday states of having either the booking rescheduled to some other date or cancelled/refunded but when both the options are exercised at etihad.com/manage it responds with the system failure prompt stating 'We are unable to process your request at this time' and redirects to the airlines contact window where in my current country 'Pakistan' the number provided has automated options and again directs to the same etihad.com/manage page which initially is already unable to process my request. this is so frustrating and requires for a flight cancellation to have better assistance from the airlines where the passenger despite paying the amount in full instead of being at ease or planning further stuff is pinched with such issues. better is what we hope from etihad airlines which has its own reputation globally.

I'm really sick and tired of dealing with Etihad. It's been a year and I'm not getting a refund on my tickets that hasn't been used. I have contacted many agents, no documentation is done no call recording is pulled. I'm really stressed out and I'm not getting my matter resolved with Etihad. The worst customer service Etihad has.

Etihad Airways No Credit for Unused Portion of Ticket

On August 31, 2020 I purchased 2 Etihad roundtrip tickets to Abu Dhabi on Expedia since the Etihad website had been and still was down and it was the last day to purchase no change fee tickets at the time. Our confirmation Number was TVXELI. My daughter had checked with the US Embassy in the UAE and they told us we could get a visa on arrival. When we arrived in Chicago on American Airlines, we were told we could not fly into Abu Dhabi and the supervisor told us we would have to take another airline the rest of the way into Dubai at our additional expense. Our Etihad roundtrip ticket was changed a few times due to your changes or our extended stay. We did use our return Etihad ticket on February 27, 2021, but were told we could not receive a credit for the remaining part of our outbound flight. I called many times. All airlines give credits for unused ticket portions. I would like a credit for 2 persons for Flight # 150 from Chicago to Abu Dhabi on October 25, 2020. I would have written sooner, (although I spoke to agents many times while in Abu Dhabi), but I have been ill. I hope you ca resolve this issue so I do not have to take this matter any further and continue to fight. Please advise me if you need itinerary or boarding passes. Etihad Airways Round trip 3 tickets (economy) yyz to cai

Booking Ref: HTQWCK, Flight changed twice by Etihad airways, I accepted the first change as a courtesy, but the second changed came with a suggested layover of 16 hours for my wife and two kids to stay on a chair at the airport; this is totally unacceptable. whats adding more salts on a salty plate is that I have been promised three times over recorded calls that a supervisor will contact me within an hour or two of me calling to solve this problem for my wife and kids tickets; the thing that never took place, I urge Mr. Jay (as an example) to stand up for his words "we contacted the airport in Abu Dhabi to get you seats and I promise calling you tomorrow or after"... which is again a false statement... this seems to be etihad airways... long hours waiting over the phone to talk with clueless representatives... then with false promises to solve the problem... please listen to the calls and read the notes over this cases and have the face to reply...

I wanted to inform Itihad that I have been extremely disappointed with the way Etihad is handling my parents (Mathew Ayrukuzhil John and Soosamma Mathew), refund for cancelling their flight tickets. Due to covid, my parents had cancelled their flight from India to Usa during December of 2020 and have yet to receive a refund. I have called Itihad numerous times, and each time they put me on hold and just give me the run around telling me to wait a week and try again. My family has been flying with you guys often, but now this will be the last time we would, because of your poor customer service.

Etihad Airways Canceling our flight Reference to Booking # CRUVQE without our knowledge

Dear sir,

Reference is made to the below email from Etihad Airlines regarding the latest flight schedule update. Therefore, I called Etihad Airlines customer service to clarify the flights plan schedule from Dammam to Manila via Abu Dhabi that shows the original flight EY2526 from Dammam to Abu Dhabi on May 23 2012 @ 21:15 and Connecting flight EY424 scheduled on May 22 2021 @ 23:45 which is a day before from originated from Dammam. So, Etihad Airlines customer service told me that is correct and by the way all flights to Manila were postponed by the Philippines until further notice. He also, asked me if I want to refund the money to bank account with Etihad airlines and my response was NO and keep me posted the flight changes. He said I will receive an email now of the flight schedule changes. Unfortunately, I didn't received any email regarding the flights postponement or rescheduling. So I called again today May 17 2021 inquiring about our flights schedule confirmation and after so much encountering hassles with customer service to prove myself to her even though I gave her the booking code, my name, my email and contact number, she was still asking my flight dates and number where she can see that under the booking number. So, after all she told all our flights were canceled on May 16 2021 per our request which is that incorrect to ask to conceal travel plan we had booked and awaited for a longer time to make our journey. Nevertheless, after she realized there was mistake was made by the airlines, she offer a new flight plan on June 17 2012 which much passes our traveling plan and whatever arrangements built on that from hotels booking and family planning. Thereafter, I asked to find us a flight soon than May 17 because that is so much far off from our original flight plan. The customer service agent stated she has no alternative plan for us to rematch our flight plan and the only way is she will send an email to her manager to take care of this matter and I should receive a call before of the end of day today. We have 4 hours Saudi time before the entering May 18 and I hope i will receive a solution before that.

Etihad Airways Overall reclamation

Dear Sir or Madam

Mail from 2nd May:

Ms. MM and I just arrived at Abu Dhabi Airport (Flight EY074 from Zurich). Unfortunately, there are some negative points we want to tell you.

First of all, the baggage of Ms MM was completely damaged through lack of care. You can find a few pictures to see the damage. We definitely have to purchase new baggage.

Furthermore, the coordination at the airport was very weak. No information, no displays and especially no staff to talk to. We were not informed about the second PCR test we had to do.

In addition, it was not clear and easy at all to find the shuttle service. The waiting station was not comfortable and no food or drinks were offered.

Due to the delay of the bus service I have contacted your hotline support to find another solution. Your colleague offered me a bus service at 11 PM (30 minutes after arrival at Abu Dhabi Airport). Even the long waiting at the passport control and the not mentioned second PCR-Test took us more than an hour. This confirms that there is a lack of transparency of processes and staff.

This was my first experience with Etihad Airlines and I can tell you that this was a really bad experience.

I hereby want to find a solution and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Etihad Airways Flight booking cancellation confirmation not received

Hi, my name is Narendra Singh Mahar, I have cancelled my booking on 13/04/21 through Etihad website, ticket was booked trough Etihad website only. My ticket reference number is FGCGRV.
I have not received my booking cancellation confirmation neither in my registered email id or my mobile phone.
I called to Etihad tall free number and they confirm that my booking has been cancelled, i requested them please send me the confirmation but still no confirmation received.

Etihad Airways Etihad Airways Travel Bank

So around June 2020; during the lockdown, Etihad Airways had a promotion where you purchase $1000 worth of travel credit and they basically give you $1500 worth of travel credit.
I purchased vouchers.
I purchased these vouchers last year, 2020.

Due to the pandemic, flights with Etihad Airways from SA have been suspended until further notice.
It will almost be a year now.
I have contacted Etihad regarding the above many times via telephone, Facebook and have mailed them as well, they have been sending me in circles and no one seems to be able to help me.

I understand that due to the pandemic the company has suspended flights from SA, but surely they should be able to at least give me some clarity of how I may redeem these travel credit vouchers or refund me. They keep saying to check back on the website without giving a answer on what will happen if they dont resume flights.

Etihad Airways Chek-in Denayed

I booked my ticket on 6 Apr 2021 through Ethihad, BAH-ABU-COK, I reached the airport 3hr before and stand in the que, and que is moving very slowly. I reached the the counter after 2hr at that time they requested a "QR code" to every passenger also the counter staff told me u cant get that and counter will be close within four mints. I got that document from nearest travel agency and produced that to the counter and 45min left for the flight. Counter staff directly rejected the chek-in for me.

My Complaints
1. The counter staff and airport people don't know the wat exactly the document. Actually I did this document one day before, this submission shows only a "Thank You" message and not prompting to print out and keep it in our hand.
2.Due to this type of situation (COVID) staff should be little bit proactive to confirm that standing travelers have all the document in hand. Enough time is there to get additional document.
3.This document is capturing only Travel Details, This is already available in our tickets.
4. So many passengers are suffered due to this.
5 Should increase the counter staff in Bahrain
6.The document should prompt printing option otherwise travelers don't able to capture that

Etihad Airways Etihad Airways staff at JFK

Unwanted mental pressure and tension for my aged parents ( 70 + years ) who were travelling alone on March 21, 2021. They had their Covid vaccines taken, PCR negative test report taken within 72 hours, and all other documents as per airlines guidelines. They were on their way to Abu Dhabi and then to their home India. But at JFK (New York), Etihad would not let them board the plane, saying that PCR test did not have time on it. Another document, which had all the details like time the PCR test was taken, and where it was taken etc were produced but the Ethad people were stubborn and would not accept it on another sheet. They said they wanted it on that PCR sheet itself. They also said that it would cause a lot of trouble at Abu Dhabi and India, but at these places there were no issues at all, when the same PCR test negative report was shown. You guys need to understand that different labs may have slightly different format, where the time maybe in another sheet. If Etihad was so very specific about that, you must mention that in your guidelines. This is not how you treat your passengers, especially seniors.
And then do you think even if were covid positive, India government would send back their citizens? There was one (probably Indian) junior officer who was soft & nice and helped them out, a big thank you to him. Because of his help, they boarded the flight EY 100, just before they closed the gate.

Etihad Airways Rebooking of cancelled flights by Etihad

I wanted to inform you that I have been extremely disappointed with the way Etihad is handling rebooking. My family has been flying with you guys often, but now this will be the last time we would, because of your approach.
My parents are stuck here in the US and not been able to go back home due to flight cancellations due to covid 19. Etihad has cancelled their flights multiple times.
Now after you started the flights, I have been contacting you since days for rebooking on the 21st March-but every agent keeps checking, and tells me that Etihad will contact me, but no one even bothers to call me. After you have cancelled our tickets, why cannot you provide tickets even though seats are available?
Sometimes you say there is a fare difference, but when I ask what is the fare difference, you guys have take days to calculate it, and even now I have not got an answer. Moreover, I am shocked that you ask me to pay for the fare difference when Etihad has cancelled the flights, not me. I am even trying to be flexible by saying I am willing to go any day between March 21 - 28, or through a different route, but you are not accommodating any of these.
This is one of the worst airways for how you treat your customers. It was a mistake of flying with you when there are other much better airlines.

Hi my name is zahid ahmed I am Canadian citizen first time I was fly with etihad but it's bed experience service Was very good but when I reach toronto Pearson airport I get my luggage lock is broke and I have miss my trimmer machine and Apple airpod pro loss my flight Num EY 211
4th March delhi to Abu Dhabi seat Num 27 a and Ey 141 Abu Dhabi to toronto Pearson airport seat Num 32 k when I get my luggage at the toronto airport so I get my luggage damage and lock is out and I miss there is my trimmer machine and Apple AirPod pro loss. Etihad Airways cancelled flight and reimbursement of hotel bill

I had orignally booked a return flight from Chicago to Abudhabi which was delayed ( almost 9 hours were in the flight at the gate). after few hours it tried to take and pushed aircraft but brought back again to gate saying technical issues. Kept us again in airport for more than hour, later announced that flight is cancelled and hotel vouchers will be given to all passengers.
They gave us voucher as attached and told us take uber and bring the bill next day for reimbursements. Due to snow no taxis were available finally 3 passengers from business class took a taxi to Double Tree by Hilton. After few minutes cheking the reservation as per voucher front desk advised the booking is not in that hotel it is another double tree by hilton. By the time no taxi was available and all of us were tired so we decided to stay there and bring the bill to Etihad checkin counter next day. We did same and the person of Etihad told us to apply on line and it will be reimbursed. I have been trying to contact local office to get the website since i could not do it.

Etihad Airways credit voucher given instead of requested refund

Dear Sir/Madam,
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, Etihad Airways cancelled my flight ticket, issued March 25, 2020, from Chennai to Frankfurt on April 20, 2020 (Ticket # [protected], Flights EY 269 and EY 7).
At that time I requested a refund. Instead I was given travel credit, issued May 21, 2020, which is valid for only one year, in the amount of USD 383.96. My Travel Bank Acct. No. [protected]
Given the continued pandemic, travel continues to be restricted in 2021 and possibly into 2022.
I would appreciate a full ticket refund.
If refused due to my economy class ticket, please extend the my travel credit until travel is safe in 2023.
Thank you for your consideration and help.

Etihad Airways Limited time to use cancelled flight credit.

Booked paid flight BKK-JNB 2 people business class Apr 27 2020 - May 17 2020. Flight CXLD. Money credit in "Etihad Flight Bank about $4500". NO flights to JNB from BKK after May 2020 to now! Force me to make BKK-JNB reservation by April 29 2021. Reservation can be out up to one year. Not fair. One year reservation period should start when flights resume.

Desired outcome: Extend the time I can use the flight credit
